Just heard that a plane carrying 12 to 14 passengers has crashed in Newnan, Ga. There is no word yet on casualties.

This is for Sue when she takes a break from writing her cards.  I'd like a piece of shortbread, Sue!  I love shortbread.  My Granny Stephen used to make it the Scottish way in a round circle and we'd break it into wedges.  And it always had a thistle on it.

Boy, I'd love to know where those shortbread molds of hers went.  I expect one of the cousins have them.

The parade was pretty nice.  I think I will shut down early tonight and go do something else.  I need to write my Christmas letter and get those cards addressed!

I am listening to the Irish Christmas Carol and it is so pretty.  Thanks for the wonderful devotional Pat.  How appropriate for a world that is spinning out of control.  A 69 yr. old grandmother in Edmonton was jailed for refusing to pay an $85.00 fine.  She didn't shovel her walk properly!!!  A sixth grader in the States tried to poison her teacher with poisoned cookies.  Guess it wouldn't fit in an apple...Some days I feel like Alice at the Mad Hatter's tea party...

Love all the great graphics, spinning, swirling, dancing and going up in flames....Will have to bribe Amanda to teach me how to use them.  

Rain is pouring down and the wind is rising.  Hope the power stays on.  Pat, Wendy was an Avon Distributor for a few years and had about 20+ gals ordering their supplies from her....The phone never stopped ringing.  We were all happy when she decided to do something else.  You are a brave lady.  Now she simply takes a few orders for friends and lets someone else have the problems.  

My sister phoned from Australia last night and it was wonderful to hear her voice.  They live in Queensland.  I wish there was some way to reach her with the gospel.  Her husband and daughter are Catholics and at least believe in God.  My sister won't even talk about the subject and time is running out.  I wouldn't trade money and education for my salvation.

I certainly don't consider them to be anything but good people...just lost in the world.  My niece and her husband are doctors.  Joanne has 3 Masters and two Phd. degrees and her husband isn't far behind.  What good will all that be in the end?  Guess we all have family members that fit this description.  They need to read the words of Pastor Jack.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RUTH.  Do you still get presents and a party this close to Christmas???
