Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Morning Devotional...

Ye have not passed this way heretofore.
Joshua 3:4

The Christian life is progressive, because that is what God Himself is like.

The Holy Spirit is always moving onward--His acts are ever new. To hold on to the past, wanting God to move as He did before, may move us out of His will. We must not interrupt divine progress.

We too, like Abraham, must walk in faith, as "he went forth not knowing whither he went."

We can safely follow Him who "bearing His cross went forth unto a place...called Golgotha." In doing so, He proved He is worth believing and following.

Press on in His strength.
--Peter Andersen

Thank you Pat for the devotional.  We can safely follow the Saviour wherever He leads us.  We can trust Him.  There is a song that comes to mind, but I can't remember all the words.   It starts out, Follow, I will follow Thee my Lord,  Follow every passing day,  My tomorrows are all known to Thee,  I will follow all the way"

Have a Blessed day today following Jesus!

Love Ruthie
The Lord is my light and my salvation Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Ps. 27:1

Ruth Ann Bice

I can certainly agree with the devotional for today (actually tomorrow, since it's still tonight here in Tennessee ;D).

In several job situations I've wholly relied on God. In one instance, I simply said, I trust You so much that, if a door opens (for a new job), I'm going to step through, in the full confidence that this is where You would want me to be.

That happened a couple of years ago. Some of you who have known me a while knew that one of the people in our department was to be let go because they had to reduce head count by one. With the shortest amount of service (and with beaing nearly old enough to take early retirement), I expected to be that person.

So, I prepared my resume, asked for prayers from my loved ones and friends, and simply trusted.

Now, I'm actually working one of the best positions in my career.

I think so often of the verses in Lamentations that speak of His mercies being renewed afresh to us each morning.

But, it isn't easy to trust and obey, is it.

Papa John, Jenny, Chris, Pat, Iain, Ria, from time to time, I get to enjoy and try to digest the beautiful devotionals y'all post here in CP. Your writings lift me up, especially as they relate to scripture verses. Many times I've nearly given up only to step in to CP and see a verse posted that seemed to be intended only for my own eyes.

Isn't this a blessed place to share our love of our Saviour!

Zachery, my little man, I am praying for you.   :'(

Night all.  I am headed for bed.

I had a great night at the dance studio.  Are dances are really coming together.  I can't wait to show you all pictures of our costumes.  You are going to be surprised when you see them.

Thanks for the prayers for Zachery.  Not sure what is going on with his little body.

Soni --- I'll say special prayers for the little trooper tonight!

Z -- Hang in there, dude!

Has Troy shaved yet????

Funny karmat story -- So, I get this exercise DVD from this online rental place, and I think, "Cool, I'll do 30 minutes or so before Bernard gets home."  Yea, right.  2, yes 2 minutes into this thing, I am dying.  And that was the warm up!!!!  Right now, I am hurting.  ::)

maybe tomorrow.

Anyway, I'll be back.  They are calling for a winter storm tomorrow, so I suspect I will be "stuck" in for a while.  Maybe even get my house clean (who knows?)

Take care everyone!

GOOD MORNING ALL 10.26 AM in Holland

PAT thank you very much for your devotional this morning but is is sure where we are going our Saviour is leads us.The only thing we must do is follow Him and trust Him.PAT i hope your back is a lot better today.

Papa John my fahter is now using outsite a walker. First he would not use a walker but now he say so is it good walking. But in Holland when you are in the centre doing shopping then you are seeing in Holland more people
with a walker then mothers with a baby buggy. In Holland are a lot older being people.

SONJA very lovely graphics have you always i love that.
But ZACHERY are you sick today i also love your writing
and little graphics.

RUTHIE have you seen the movie THE
PASSION with Mel Gibson my son say that movie is coming about a view months in Holland.
Is it a Christian movie i ask that because then is the chance great that he is not coming in the cinema's but
on DVD then i buy the movie but so long new movies are in the cinema's then they are not coming on DVD.
But when Christian movies in Holland are coming in the cinema's in that time they are not coming on DVD then i must longer wait. I don't like go to a cinema. But my son have take a look on internet he is a fan from Mel Gibson the movie is coming in Holland but we always must longer wait.

God definitely is progressive in His dealings with us - He would have us to trustingly move forward.  He has a program for us, and we can't find out what it is until we move according to His will for us.  Thankfully, though, He Himself is not progressive - He changes not.  And we need to realize as we move forward in life to experience the things we know not  - He's already been there.  He knows the past, present, and future equally well.  So let's move without distrust.  Let's move forward in faith.  Let's move in the love of the unchangeable God.

Good morning!

Good afternoon, Jenny and Ria!

Karmat~LOL...you had me giggling with your exercise.  I know what you mean.  I haven't gone to arobics for awhile and when I do, I know I will be the same way.  By any chance did you look at the level of the exercise?  Should be beginner DVD.  Just a thought.  What did Travis do while you were exercising? hehehe...

Jenny ~ I wish I could say Hello to Jerry's DIL for you.  They were the ones that were here at Christmas.  I think right now, she is with her parents in Ishmur, Turkey.  If not, she is home with her husband and Daniel in Latina, Italy.  I pray for all of them to find Jesus.

Marilyn ~ Yes, there are several stores around that everything is a dollar but not in Lapel...the little town closest to me.  And I like those stores, too.  I looked for a squirt gun....maybe a squirt gun would get Inky's attention.

Zachary ~ Hello!  I will never forget how you talked to Ivalou and I when we first met.  You are a gentleman, for sure!

Papa John ~ The highlight of my week also is going to my church and worshipping God.  Fun?  I don't know about fun but it sure is uplighting and awe-inspiring!!!  I see you like fish....I do, too!  But I don't fix it because I don't know how to tell when it is done.  Like baked?...I need a recipe to tell me exactly how thick, how much it weighs, the temp and how long to bake.  Oh, well!  I guess I can eat fish when I go out to eat.

Karma ~ I'm with you.  I am huffing and puffing from just walking the trash to my brother's driveway!  Way out of shape in more ways than one!!!!

Larry ~  Happy Birthday to you!!!!!  Happy Birthday to you!!  Happy Birthday, dear Larrrrrryyyyyyyy!  Happy Birthday, to you!!!

I was pleasantly surprised yesterday.  I was sitting here at the computer and heard someone at the door.  It was Jerry!!!!  The first time he has driven to see me since his stroke in July.  And he brought flowers to me for Valentine's Day.  Isn't he a sweetie?  Course, Ali thinks they are hers.  She thinks they are to chew up!!  But a few 'No!'s has stopped that, I think.  Anyway Jerry said it was a good day for him and nice and sunny so he felt he should bring the flowers to me when he felt he could do the driving.  God is good!!

Dear Lord please hold Zachery in your  loving arms and touch his body. Your word says you have healed all our diseases and forgiven all our sins. It also says that by your stripes we are healed. Lord touch Zachery now and heal his body. Romove all pain and cause all his organs to be perfectly in line with your word. I pray to you Dear Lord to ask that your will be done for Zachery. In Jesus Name Amen

You were on my heart this afternoon.  I was looking at the Asia Harvest website,as some of you know I am becoming more concerned with the Lord's work China, so that when I finished reading Bro Yun's story I started to study more.
However, this site also has threads re Moslems and the wonderful way in which the Lord Jesus is appearing to them..wow...I do recommend this site.
Praise God...Amazing Grace!

Etta Sue, just keep praying for your DIL's family..the Lord can do this thing.  He appeared as a taxi-driver to a Moslem visiting Mecca...Just like with Philip and the Ethiopian Eunuch.

Yesterday, Today,Forever, Jesus is the Same...
All may change but Jesus never,
Glory to His Name....

Soni and dear Zach....Keeping looking unto Jesus...I will keep praying...

Good Morning to everyone. Soni and Mullet I am glad you enjoyed that link. I thought it was beautiful, it came in my email this morning from a friend down south.

Thank you Pat for the devotion, I am trying my hardest to follow Jesus and His plan for my life.  Sometimes when we wonder what is our purpose or destiny and think that we don't have one, take inventory of all that you do each day and see God in everything you do, you will soon discover that something you think is a very small part of your life is something BIG to God.

I had this wake up call last night at Bible Study when I realized that my purpose/destiny is to be something I have been doing all the time. Being a prayer warrior and intercessor. That is a really BIG thing to God so much a part of my everyday life that I had overlooked a very special talent. How many of you get "excited" praying for someone else because you know that God answers all prayers?

TTYL got togo to work now.

Larry Hanna

Hi everyone.  I am overwhelmed at all the wonderful birthday greetings and Sonja that was such a nice card and smilies.   It has been a good birthday so far as when I got home from exercise and coffee Pat had put two large boxes in my chair at my computer.  She had given me 3 new paris of trousers and a new belt.  I have lost about 35 pounds since last August and my clothes are too big for me now.  However, these are still too big so I will take them back to the stores this afternoon and exchange them for the right size.  Pat was getting tired of seeing me in baggy pants. ;D ;D  This evening, after our daugher gets home from school, we are going to one of our favorite restrurants as they give you a free meal on your birthday and who wants to turn down a free meal.  There are several places around here that do that and it is nice.

I will be leaving for Calvin Cove in a few minutes since I didn't go on the usual Tuesday.  It is cold and damp here today but no snow.

I almost had a very special birthday present as my new great granddaughter was born yesterday morning in Missouri.  They named her Shelby and she weighed a little less than 9 pounds and was 22 inches long.  I spoke with my granddaugther this morning and she and the baby are doing fine although the baby might have to stay an extra day in the hospital as is a bit jaudiced.  Her little boy doesn't know quite what to think of the new baby and wanted to punch it.

Zachery, sure sorry to read that you are not feeling well today.  :'(  Take it easy and get lots of rest.

Marilyn, I think you have a definite calling as a prayer warrior, along with Jenny and some of the other folks here.

Etta Sue, we use a little spray bottle for our cat to let him know he is doing something he shouldn't and he really hates it.  Don't have to use it very often and once-in-a-while he gets it down on the floor and gives it a good going over laying on his side and holding it in his paws.  Fun to watch.  Very nice of Jerry to give you the flowers and am sure he was glad to be able to make the drive.  Jerry, glad you were feeling up to it and you must be doing well.

Pat, another fine devotional and sure hope your back is feeling better today.  Have you been shoveling snow again or lifting heavy Avon boxes?

Sonja, it sounds like your dance routines are becoming perfected.  When will you premiere your new costumes?

Karma, hope you all don't get snowed in, unless you want to be. ::)

Margrit, of course you can join in the birthday celebration.  I appreciate your kind thoughts as I do all of you taking time to mention my birthday.  This is my 63rd birthday.

Sarah, good luck on your playoff games.  Hope your team is playing your best ball as you play these games.

Time to leave for Calvin Cove.

karmat

Marilyn, I definitely think that not only is that your gift, but your special  calling as well.  The church, and world, need more prayer warriors.  My late grandmother was one.  She didn't do much in the church, visibly, but all of her pastors knew she was sitting in "her spot" on the pew praying for them and the church.

I told Bernard a while back that I thought it was cool that you like to pray.  I pray.  I enjoy praying, but you seem to thrive on it.  Which is good.  I'm glad I know you!!!  :P
