Hello to all!  I am soooooooooooo late in coming here.  We've had the auditors this week.  Don't have access as often as I used to have to TV. 

Will be praying for the family of the young man who was killed.  Such a heartbreaking thing to have to face as his parents were no where near when it happened.  May God be truly close to the parents and give them the strength and comfort they will need in the upcoming days.

NEM has been up and down for a while.  I'll try to catch up.

Thanks for the neat story.  It reminded me of a similiar experience of mine. I was in a gas station waiting to pay for my gas.  The woman ahead of me was fumbling in her purse for all the loose change it held.  Finally she dumped out the contents, gathered her change and asked for that amount in gas.

Seeing that her resouces were limited, I asked her if she would allow me to add something to her money.  I dropped some money on her pile of change.  She thanked me and went out to pump her gas.  I paid for my gas and on the way to my car I was thanking God for using me.  Actually I felt pretty good about the whole situation, not smug, just good.

That's when God spoke to heart, He said, "Next time fill it up!"

Oh how I wished I had swiped my card for a tankfull for her.....I will the next time........if there ever is one.

I really appreciate the piece on suprstition, Chris.  More often than not, these things become interesting to people because they are a substitute for the truth.  People will often do almost anything, believe almost anything that happens to be "supernatural" - all because they do not at all want to bow before the one true God.  Repentance and faith are still the only effective way.
