Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Pat ~ I am hoping your back pain subsides.  Vacuuming is the worst thing you can do with back pain, isn't it?

Soni ~ You saying that Lila Mae is opening doors now reminds me of teaching Tony how to do stairs.  My washer was in the basement and I was afraid that Tony would copy me and try to go down the basement steps while I was near the washer and couldn't hear him.  I opened the door and turned around....back down the steps on all fours...told him to follow me.  I showed him which leg to go down a step and then the other.  Then his hands.  He conquered the steps in a few minutes.  And these were open stairs...not like yours with a wall on both sides.

Larry ~ I did try the 'Back' but went back to when I previously posted a welcome.  Lost  the post.  So now I will copy and paste from or to notepad and then post.  It is frustrating and my time is so precious.... ::) ::)

Soon after I posted this morning, the phone rang.  Jerry.  The doctor's receptionist called and cancelled Jerry's appointment because of the doctor having emergency surgery this morning.  So now we go March 8th.

It has been gloomy and dark today with rain.  It is melting the snow.  I dreaded going out to get the mail but I did.  It almost turned my umbrella wrong-side out!  The wind is terrible!  We have lots of 'lakes' around me.  The ground is frozen so the melted snow has no where to go.

The tiny town of Lapel...a mile and a half from me...has a tiny newspaper....a weekly paper.  Was I surprised today when I got it to find almost a full page written on 'The Passion of the Christ'.  Several ministers in the near vicinity has seen preliminary showings.  They are really hyping the film.  One even stated he can't say film or movie or cinema when talking about it....it is an 'experience'.  Also they did say if one planned to see the movie between the 25th and the 29th to be sure and call the theater to see if there are seats available.  First time that theaters have sold tickets ahead of time!!!  How about that??????

Everyone have a great evening....

Home from work now. A beautiful day here on the Redwood Coast. I just may take Happydog out for the walk he didn't get the other day because he kept jerking on his leash and trying to drag me in the opposite direction.

Just stopping in to catch up with what was going on before I went to the Doc. Who tells me that everything is healing quite well but there is still some healing going on, I go back in 6 weeks.

Pat so sorry to hear about your back. I called Al he seems to be doing much better but he won't be runing any marathons yet. Marbeth has to put his shoes on for him as he can't bend that knee very well. Hurts too much.

Bebe keeps rubbing her nose on my pants leg, I don't
think I have been around another dog or cat with these pants on, but they are definitely going in the wash. It is a funny sight to see me sitting here at the computer with a dog rubbing her nose on my leg.

Jenny good to hear that Sunday dog is up and going tryng to get into the kitchen.

Hey Pat and Soni, I posted a few photos at Photo World. I saw your note to me there Pat.

Scott I saw your photos there too.

I have been after Gilbert for way over a month to come and  use his weed eater in my back yard. getting difficult to clean up after the dogs. He was supposed to do it last weekend then it rained so I ask him again today. I hope he gets to it tomorrow or Sunday. He also forgot to put my trash out at the end of the driveway on Thursday.

Thank you Pat for that wonderful devotional from dear Jack.  It is so relevant and perfect for all our lives.  It is interesting that he mentioned Woodrow Wilson because that President was in my family tree.

Hi RiaI am glad to hear you don't have any pain.  Hope you get a good night sleep.

Hi Jenny,  I have been to Birmingham, England.   My grandfather on my Mother's side came from Birmingham and when I went to Ireland to visit Pat & Jack in 1965, Pat's Dad and I stopped by Birmingham and stayed at a 100+ year old farmhouse with goats and lambs and dogs and cats and other animals.  Boy what a wonderful experience.  I have a picture of me holding a baby goat that was just born.  I would love to go back for a visit.   Do you like in the town or the country?  I loved all of it.

Hi Nards,   you remind me of my sons, especially Kevin.  Kevin is 38 and likes to play the guitar and tries his hand at everything.  Kevin and Trish have 2 beautiful little girls.   Do you have 2 children?  Hope your weekend is a wonderful blessed one.

Zach...I'm so sorry you have step throat.  That is a horrible thing to have.  Are you taking any pills for it or just gargleing and sucking on cough candies?  I will be praying for you.

Thank you Judy M. for the interesting data on the Bible.  It is great to "Trust in the Lord and not in man"  God Bless Judy

Hi Janet...Hope you have a fun time watching the play "I Hate Hamlet"

Hi Sonja, sounds like you've had a busy day with paper routes and everything else going on.  I know, I had 4 children.  Life was very busy.   But it is all worth it.  Children are a blessing from the Lord.  Mine are grown up now and I just love them.

Thank you Chris for your devotional about the Holy Spirit.    Before our EE teams go out on Tues. nights we sit and pray in the cars and ask the Holy Spirit to go before us and prepare the hearts of the people we will talk to.   Only then do we see salvations and people being restored to Christ.

Thanks Pat for Victory in Jesus.   I just love that piece.  It reminds me of David Ring every time I hear it.   The world doesn't know what it is missing without our precious Jesus.

I am also praying that your back will get better Pat.

Hi Scott...I love that song "Amazing love, how can it be that Thou my God should'st die for me"   It is amazing isn't it Scott.  All other religions are man reaching up to find God, but Christianity is God reaching down to mankind, and dying for mankind!  Isn't it so good to know Him, our precious Lord.  I am going to look at your awesome pictures again in the photo area.

Wow Etta Sue, that is great about the movie "The Passion".    I'm so glad people are going to watch it all over the States and Canada.

God Bless

Love Ruthie

Ruthie, what a lovely newsy post!  How are your eyes today?

Etta Sue, for sure.  Vacuuming is horrible when you have a sore back but had a friend coming so had to run it around a bit...you know "a lick and a promise!"

Yes, Ruth, by the time the weather changes, my back should be fine.  It's a lot better tonight but the walking stick is getting lost of use!

Marilyn, saw your photos over there at Photo-World!

I hope that you are all either looking at or getting some photos ready to post in our SHADOWS challenge...

Sarah

Well....I have been home from work for almost an hour, and what an interesting day it has been.

It started off with me having serious back and stomach pain, not being able to concentrate, and getting totally sidetracked because of the pain.  So when I went on my 30 min lunch break, I went to the pharmacy just down the street from work, and asked if they could provide me with samples of Advil.  They were able to, so within about 35 mins, I was feeling better.

When I went on my last 15 min break of the night, I was talking to a co-worker about getter a ride to work tomorrow morning.  So when the shift was finished, I was getting ready to leave for him, and my co-worker handed me a business card, so that I would have her phone number for morning.  Just under the business name on the card, is read's....."A workman that needs not to be ashamed"  When I read that, I looked at her, and smiled, and simply commented that her and I should talk, she agreed.  Well, Ruth (my co-worker) gave me a ride home, and on the way home, after she dropped off the other co-workers she was giving a ride home to, she looked at me and smiled, and said "So you are, are you?"  I answered with "I have been born again since I was 8"  This sparked a total conversation about her faith and my own.  It was totally cool.

Anyway, I am going to go....I have to be up early tomorrow in order to go to work.

Love you all
Heather

Sorry about not paying closer attention to my post about Jane and I listening to "Amazing Love".  Bernard had the right version, "How can it be, That you my KING would die for me....,,, In all I do, I honor you".

I believe it has another title but I am not certain what that is.

The (real) other title is "You Are My King".

Ruthie - We only have our beautiful little Travis at this point.  I think Karma wants about two dozen more, but this one has us about whipped, so I don't think that could happen.

The first night of the youth rally went great from God's viewpoint, I think.  We had to deal with a bit of disappointment in that the "promoters" don't seem to have done much promoting/advertising this year, and thus attendance is WAY down.  We're by no means numbers fanatics, but sometimes the human side of us wants a lot of people to show up.  That said, it was a great atmosphere, and the 30 or so kids (except for a couple of 6 and 7 year olds that were probably a little bored) seemed to be there because they wanted to be.  To see teenagers smiling and worshipping God is really worth carrying 100 pound subwoofers up 15 stairs :-)  Tomorrow night will probably be the last time we'll EVER play in that particular building as the church is building a new sanctuary and it will be at least a year before we go back if ever.

I hope all of you have a great night.

Marilyn, for goodness sake give that dog a Kleenex.
I survived open heart surgery.... :)

Pat..........

I hope you know that sitting can be lethal on your back.  Get up and walk around the block a couple times a day.  I too have a bad back (The scourge of tall people).  VIvian is undergoing therapy for her neck and is receiving massage, heat and weight training.  Who am I to sit and wait for her to finish?  So, I joined the athletic club and am now lifting weights.  Tired, sore, and feel great.

For those of you who are unable to attend  Discipleship training, you might wish to go to the following site......... http://www.gospelcom.net/rbc/ds/q0709/q0709.html

Late again!

Time to lock the door.  I enjoy singing the hymn I've posted in tomorrow's topic.  Hope you enjoy it too.

Lee, walking is sure good.  I just can't walk here right now as the sidewalks are so icy and we've had so much snow but I've been using my treadmill so hopefully that will help.

Sorry your guys lost last night, Sarah!  So your school is completely out now, right?  Now you'll have more time to spend in the Teen Room. ;)

Heather, that's neat to work with another Christian.

Lee, I'm going to look at your site you posted.  I'm going to edit your post too to remove the dots so that the link will be clickable.

Nards, I'm sure that you two would be able to stand several more kids!

Here's the link for tomorrow's topic...
