Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Morning Devotional...

Jesus wept.
John 11:35

Jesus stood by Lazarus' tomb and wept.

He entered into the grief and sorrow of God's children as they grieved over the loss of a loved one. He still does.

A sister-in-law buried her husband a year and a half ago. After this terrible loss her oldest son who lived nearby was killed tragically at work. When we called her, she said, "I have just come home to grieve wildly!"

Dear soul! We know her grief; we buried our eldest son.

And Jesus still stands beside His weeping people— and weeps with them.

Thank God!
—Donald L. Norbie

DOES JESUS CARE?
(Click to hear music)

Does Jesus care when my heart is pained
Too deeply for mirth or song,
As the burdens press, and the cares distress
And the way grows weary and long?

Refrain
Oh yes, He cares, I know He cares,
His heart is touched with my grief;
When the days are weary, the long nights dreary,
I know my Savior cares.

Does Jesus care when my way is dark
With a nameless dread and fear?
As the daylight fades into deep night shades,
Does He care enough to be near?

Refrain

Does Jesus care when I've tried and failed
To resist some temptation strong;
When for my deep grief there is no relief,
Though my tears flow all the night long?

Refrain

Does Jesus care when I've said "goodbye"
To the dearest on earth to me,
And my sad heart aches till it nearly breaks,
Is it aught to Him? Does He see?

Refrain

I'd like to request prayer for our brother Bob is OK.  I've been told by OKTom that he took his mother-in-law, Yvonne to the hospital after a heart attack and there she died.

Then he found out that she had probably been cooking something and his house burned down by the time he got home and he's lost about everything so we don't know when he'll be online again.

Let's remember our dear brother in prayer tonight and in the coming days.  He's not well either with terrible back problems and can't work.

Thank you, Pat, for that song.  I know He cares .... I pray for Bob that he will find this same comfort.  He must be feeling much like Job did when his whole life seemed swept away in moments.  What a tragedy ... BUT I know Jesus does care and he is touched with our grief.
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass .... it's about learning to dance in the rain!

My goodness, poor Bob and family! I'll definitely bring this before God's throne tonight, and know that many on here will.

The world is very fair to see
The artist will not let it be
He fiddles with the works of God
And makes them look uncommon odd!

Well, it seems we were down.  But great that we're back.

Thanks for paging me Al.

Yes, let's keep Bob definitely in our prayers.  I know that he needs it right now.

Jane, I'm so glad you enjoyed that hymn.  Means a lot to me this day as well.

Hello, everyone!  Sorry to have not been around, it's just been a zoo for me lately.  As usual.

Karma and I are coping pretty well with our new addition; she's pretty well worn out most of the time.  Kristi had her "worst" night last night but the doctor proclaimed her to be in perfect health at her checkup this morning.  She's 3 ounces over her birthweight now, totally normal in all her measurements, and all that.  So we're pleased and thankful.

Gotta get back to work now.  I'll try to check in more often!
I survived open heart surgery.... :)

Glad things are going well, Bernard.

I am off to aerobics class.  Anyone want to join me? :)

Just wonderful news, Bernard.  Thanks so much for checking in.  Let's open a topic you two for "Watching Kristi Grow".  Just put a photo in once a week or so so we can have them all in one place.  I'd sure love that.

Glad to read that you're going to be here more often as well.  That delights me.

I'm sorry, Soni, but I just a few moments ago got back from the fitness center, and I just can't do any more right now!  But I hope it's nice and aerobic for you!
Oh Father, I pray for Bob.  Let him know definitely that You are with Him and that You care abundantly, I pray.  Oh make him know that You gave and You took away, but that You can and will supply ALL his needs through Jesus our Lord.
I thank our Lord, Bernard, that things are going well (at least for Kristi, if not for her parents!).  May your exhaustion not be inexhaustible.

I just posted a request for Bob is Okay, and will post a request for you, too, Tbear. Some serious situations - aren't we thankful that God hears our prayers!

Today was a lovely day - I was privileged to meet Etta Sue and Ivalou, and also their friend Betty. They were zooming through town right at lunchtime, so we had a great meal together. What wonderful folks! Wish y'all could have been to our little "mini-bash!"

Good evening, friends.  How nice that you got to meet Etta Sue, Iva Lou and Betty, Ruth Ann!  Wish I could have joined in your little mini-bash!  Glad you had fun.

I kept checking this morning, CP was down until we left home, and I'm just getting back in here.  We had a busy day which included a visit to Abby's first grade classroom and also her PE class.  I thank God she has such wonderful Christian teachers!  Darrel enjoyed our visit, too.

No real news on the Kansas front, just another cloudy and drizzly day.  See you tomorrow!
