JennyW: Hello Janet! I check every day. I wish everyone would get going again! I miss seeing pictures and reading posts! 2025-01-24, 06:54:04

Janet: Hello, Friends!  Let's get this going again!  I miss  hearing from all of you! 2025-01-23, 19:26:16

Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Just a brief note to let you all know that we are having computer problems in terms of our DSL connection.  I don't know what has happened but I have apparently done something in reworking my laptop and now the network isn't working for the Internet.  I will have to get my son back over here to see if he can fix the mess and it may be the weekend before that can happen, if then.  I was able to get a dial-up connection established on my laptop but have only 20 hours of dialup without incurring an additional hourly charge.  The connection is so slow I probably won't be doing anything but trying to check e-mail (and apparently e-mail is clogged up with this new worm).  So if I don't post for a few days you all will know what has happened to me.  Been a day of total frustration.  Guess satan is after me today.

Larry, I'm sorry about your computer problems.  That can be very frustrating.

We are still having cold weather for Tennessee.  Yesterday we had snow flurries all day but no accumulation.

I went to the dentist this morning for cleaning and check.  I can think of a lot of things I would rather do.

Tonight I am going to speak to a group which meets at 5:30 on Wednesday nights.  They have a guest speaker every week.

It is good to see everyone.  I hope you are all having a good day.

Micah 6:8  He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.  (NIV)    <:))))><<

Any brave souls out there who go walking in this weather?  This morning about 5:30, I happened to look out my bedroom window, and saw two joggers.  I couldn't believe my eyes.

This is garbage day for us too Etta Sue.  We aren't supposed to put it out until 7:pm., but Norm has it out earlier than that, so he can see what he is doing.  We have to re-cycle ours...sort the stuff... wet from dry., then grocery bags go into clear bags.  I still find it confusing....and hate it!

Well, I have made "Impossible Cheeseburger Pie" for supper tonight.

Perhaps I'l put the recipe in here...I'll check and see what area I should post it in.

Amen, and amen  -  to your sharing of Jack's devotional,  Yes, we have met the enemy  â€“  It is our sinful hearts! Praise God that he did not wait for us to clean it up, for that would have been for eternity, and would never come about, yet He is able.
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.  Romans 5:8
Thanks Pat for the Devotional and Hymns.

Judy:  Funny line about watching paint dry~

I hope everyone stays safe throughout this entire season of icy roads and everything that goes with the heavy snowfalls.

Etta Sue:  Good that you could have the driveway plowed by someone.

Pat S:  I see that you have been shoveling snow - be very careful = I can't say anything because I still do that too but it sure isn't as easy as it once was years ago.

We will soon packing and heading for two months in Arizona - this a first for us and it is because quite a bunch of my great cousins are in the area and it will be a real treat to visit with such good people.  They already have fellowship groups meeting and so forth, I will bring a few books and see what they are studying as well.  Don is very late tonight at a meeting and a long drive in the dark then he will be ready to pack as well.

I may not have the opportunity to post as often and do wish everyone good health and peace.

Carol

We almost got up to 30 degrees today - for a few minuts, anyway.  ;D  And it was a surprise this morning to see that at 5:30 a.m. it was actually above zero!!!!  Of course, we also got some snow, but only about 5 inches so hardly worth mentioning.

Gene goes to the cardiologist tomorrow to see about the fluid around his heart and his bronchitis.  He was sure he's been house-bound for six weeks, but actually it's just about three.  Seems longer to him - he's really an outdoor type and doesn't like having to stay inside.  He's been really good though, not even the least bit grouchy or cranky.

Our pastor is starting the Elders on a study of "A Purpose Driven Life" and is encouraging everyone in the congregation to get the book and study it, too.  He brought our two copies (we study so differently we couldn't possibly use the same one) and visited a while this afternoon.   There will be some small groups forming, but Gene and I have decided we'll  form our own "group", just the two of us, and then he'll take part, of course, with the discussions with the Elders.  I can hardly wait to get started.  :P

Hello Everyone!

Oh, it's so nice to see a post in here by you, Tom!  Thanks so much for the encouragment.  It really does encourage me to know that people receive a blessing from one of the devotionals and it's encouraging to me to know that people are being blessed by something that my dear husband wrote.

Thanks again, Tom.  I hope your wife is keeping a lot better.  I pray daily for her AND YOU!

I know that we're going to be seeing photos from Janet later on.  I know that because we were just talking on Yahoo together and she's uploading them as I type this.  Oh, I can hardly wait.

Carol, I know what you are speaking of.  Yes, we must be very careful as we reach elderly ages in digging the snow.  I was so happy to see the fellow from down the road come and blow the drive for two nights in a row.  I don't think I could ever have dug that out but I had to dig the sidewalk up to the door.  And there is no space left for the snow as all my spaces are full so each shovel full needs to be carried!  I should lose weight!

Hi Jeanne!  I missed you yesterday!  Great to see you tonight.  Glad you'll be reading that book.  I'm behind again.  I got involved in another book by John McArther called "Reckless Faith--When the Church Loses Its Will to Discern" and I've been unable to drag myself away from it.  But I will!  Hope Gene gets good results tomorrow.

Thanks Marilyn for telling me what you are making.  Up here and over in Europe duvets are the actual lofty bedding comforter and you put a duvet cover on it that is made out of sheeting.  A quilt is something completely different.  We bought our duvets over in Ireland many years ago and I'm so thrilled that I have them now.  Each time I wash my sheets for the bed, I wash the duvet cover.

What are you doing in church tonight, Sarah?  Is it a Bible Study for teens?  That's great that you're going and enjoying it.  Share with us some of the things you learn.

Impossible Cheeseburger Pie sure sounds great, Judy!  Please do share the recipe!

So good to see you, Papa John.  I know all about visits to the dentist!  LOL

I got statred with posting the photos of our trip, so if you want, you can go look.  I titled the thread "Dive Trip Photos" so you can find them there.

I am going to bed now, it's been a long day.  Class tomorrow, so I am getting back into the normal routine.

Last night at the Client apreciation dinner, I was so thrilled when our financial advisor asked the blessing before we ate.  It was a lovely prayer, too, and from his heart.  He's a great guy---former Eagle Scout and has a degree in Engineering.  Just thought I'd share that! :)

Hello from sunny California!!! I know you all envious of our good weather this time of year. My first post of the year, but I just wanted to stop in and say hi. I posted 2 messages in the Music and Book Nook forums but other than that haven't had much time to post.

I am currently a photo student who really has a desire to see his art be used for God's glory. I have a heavy interest in sharing my faith through my photos in the area of fine art photography, fashion, and travel photos.

You see my dream (after I finish my photography degree) is that I want to go to third world countries and photograph missionaries doing work in their field. Giving their all so that someone else may know Christ. After finishing these tours of the third world countries, I want to come back and spend time in the darkroom and perfect the prints to turn into a set of selected prints & a book in which all the proceeds would go to further the work of the missionaries that I have visited.

Right now I am currently working on a fine art series that I would like to see become a travelling art show. I have contacted a couple of art galleries in hopes of doing this sometime later this year. Anyone in here shown their work in a gallery?? I'd love to chat with you more about it if you have.

Well I think that is it for now...

Glad to meet you folk and hope to get to know you better.

Gregg

Thanks for the great devotional Pat.  Sorry about hitting the reply button without thinking.  Will try to remember that in future.

Judy B.  I will keep that info. for future date.  Thanks.

This has been a day of doing this & that, with and for my daughter.  Sort of confusing day and happy evening has come.  Good day....just confusing.

Not much to say so will tell this silly joke that I read:

One day, a gorilla escaped from the Bronx Zoo.  They searched for him everywhere in every borough.  They announced his disappearance on the radio and television as well as in the newspapers, but no one reported seeing it.

At last, the gorilla was discovered in the New York Public Library.  Officials of the zoo and the animal handlers were summoned to the library where they found it sitting at a desk in the reading room with two books spread out in front of him.  The gorilla was reading with great concentration.  One book was the Bible and the other was Darwin's "Origin of Species".

The zookeepers asked the gorilla what he was doing.

The gorilla replied, "I'm trying to figure out whether I am my brother's keeper or my keeper's brother."

Okay.  I did say it was a Silly Joke!!

Will go and check on Janet's pictures and see if my computer will still show her work.  God Bless.  Liz

Gregg, so good to see you posting in here.  This is where you'll get to know everyone.  You are to be commended for your ambition to go and photograph the missionaries in the field.  What a lovely ambition.  Ohhhhh, you're in California?  Wow!  You should see our snow here in Ontario, Canada

Hi Pat.

Hi Soni

Been up since 4 a.m...Yes you guessed, Sunday dog wanted to do a wee and it's so icy cold I can't get warm so decided to have a cup of tea and a prayer time. This done I am off to bed, to have a short snuggle down before the alarm clock goes off at 7 a.m.

It's stopped snowing and icy conditions abound.

Off to bed Pat!

Love

Well, goodnight everyone...  I've been reading through Al Moak's Psalm studies and thought that we could maybe go through Psalm 23 with Jack for the next few days.

Every time I read them and go through them with my Bible, I am blessed.

I pray you all are too.
