Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Morning Devotional...

Trials and Pain:
Prepared for Whatever

Lord, You have been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever You had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.
--Psalm 90:1-2

Yet I do not advise that we end the year on a somber note. The march, not the dirge, has ever been the music of Christianity. If we are good students in the school of life, there is much that the years have to teach us. But the Christian is more than a student, more than a philosopher. He is a believer, and the object of his faith makes the difference, the mighty difference.

Of all persons the Christian should be best prepared for whatever the New Year brings. He has dealt with life at its source. In Christ he has disposed of a thousand enemies that other men must face alone and unprepared. He can face his tomorrow cheerful and unafraid because yesterday he turned his feet into the ways of peace and today he lives in God. The man who has made God his dwelling place will always have a safe habitation.
The Warfare of the Spirit, p. 148

"Thank You, Father, for all You've taught me this past year. Thank You for the stretching experiences. Thank You for Tozer's wise counsel. Thank You for the privilege of serving You. Thank You for Your love and grace. Amen."

The animation above changes so read each one, please.

The sun is trying here in Indiana.  It rained last evening and in the night and I have another lake to the west of me.  But, thank God, the basement is still dry....well almost dry but the floor isn't covered with wet yet!

Jane ~ So glad you got home safe and sound.  Is is great to have God as the pilot when traveling alone.

:coffee:  Is this a new one or am I just now awake?

I need to run to the Post Office for some new expensive stamps and probably the Dollar General store.  Maybe find something to eat while I am out, too.

Larry Hanna

Hi everyone.

We have a very warm and nice day here in Georgia after a very stormy day yesterday.  Last evening we had tornado warnings in our area but fortunately nothing occurred other than a lot of rain.

I went to coffee this morning but when I got back I was feeling tired so decided to rest and there went the rest of the morning.

My good friend, Rod, is in Las Vegas to attend the annual national PC User Group convention and then the Consumer Eletronics Show.  He is making a presentation this afternoon on videoconferencing.  Unfortunately when he got there this year he found that they didn't have Internet access readily available, which he is going to need for part of his presentation.  So I am sure he is in a tizzy as he has spent many hours preparing his presentation.  Fortunately he has a lot of his presentation in Powerpoint presentation and wasn't depending fully on the Internet.

Jane, glad to see you made it safely home from your trip.

It is good to see everyone posting today.

Jane Walker

Good Tuesday Morning!!  :D

It is cold and wet here this morning and I am warm and dry in my own home!  I don't ever want to be blasè about the protective guidance from my Father.  I thank Him daily -- many times a day -- for His gentle counsel and direction.  He has been my counsel, day planner, travel guide, protector, financier, and constant companion for a long time now.  I can not imagine trying to live without Him.   :)

Etta Sue~My grandson David (Jean's second son) had a baby boy born in May.  I dd not know it until I was in California wth Joy in July.  His sisters Laura and Tricia met Joy and I for lunch one day and Laura had a picture of Jacob Ramiah and we took our own photo of a pregnant Tricia.  ;)  Tricia's daughter, Makayla Janay, was born December 19.  That brings the total great grandkids equal to the number of grandkids I have EIGHT each!   ::)

Thanks Marilyn for visiting my gallery.

I wish to thank everyone for your thoughts of relief upon my safe return home.   I think of the words of a song we often sang "... Through the storm, through the *** take my hand, help me stand; take my hand Precious Lord lead me home."  (Now suddenly I can't remember the words!  :-[ )

I have a few busy-ness things to attend to today, so I'll leave y'all for a while and for sure I am joining in the prayers for our friends and family who are struggling with power outages and flooding as well as those in the fire zone of Oklahoma and Texas.  I agree with Jeanne ... too bad we can't just tip the country and run all this water to the east to put out those fires!   :thumbsup:
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass .... it's about learning to dance in the rain!

Praise the Lord for an other day he is so good. I just want to thank those of you who have prayed for my wife, and this is how he wants us to  and the Lord has given us the choice of not one docter but two and the one that we chose is a wonderful Christian and the first day we met him he saw how much pain Noreen was in and he asked us if he could pray for her.  Is this not awsome and God never lets us down. As I said yesterday we hope to see a surgeon for a second opinion so please pray for this. We always have to learn to leave our problems with the Lord and yet there are times when our faith is weak and we get timid. InTimothy in 2nd Tim. Chap. 2 verse 7 it  in this verse it talks that the Lord gives us not a spirit of timidity but a spirit of power Love and  self-discipline. I again am so grateful  to those who intrduced my Lord and Saviour  to me Praise His name
  Gord.

Aaaahhhhh THAN K YOU CHRIS!!  As soon as I posted I remembered the words!    :D  I really appreciate your finding that song and posting it here.  It is so appropriate for most of my walk with the Lord.  So many times (most of the time) I have no clue what or how I am going to be able to keep going but I KNOW I can trust my Father to take care of me and I can rest assured that He knows what I need and if I don't have what I think I need it's because I don't need it today!   ;)  Jesus said my Father knows what I need, and then He said not to worry about tomorrow so............. Why worry, right?   :D

I Could Sing of His Love Forever!   <3

Well Al and Marbeth are fine. On the way to their place, up the road from me the power company and a tree company are working away getting all the trees  cut up and out of the way and the power lines up off the roadway  and untangled out of the fallen trees. Al and Marbeth took all the food from their freezer over to their church and put it in a freezer there. They have bags of ice in the fridge to keep the food cold. they said they have been eating out a lot. Al said to tell y-all he don't want you talking about him behind his back. (please remember his dry sense of humor.) He will be back as soon as he has power and is up and running again.

I'm plenty tired after my first day back at work, but thankful there were no snags or snafus and the pressure was only moderate, not heavy as usual.

Y'all have a good evening.

I've been wondering how you would do Ruth Ann.  How's that foot coming along?

Still praying for you my sister in the Lord.

He Lives
(Click to hear music)

Words & Music: Alfred H. Ackley, 1887-

I serve a risen Savior, He's in the world today;
I know that He is living, whatever men may say;
I see His hand of mercy, I hear His voice of cheer,
And just the time I need Him, He's always near.

Refrain
He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today!
He walks with me and talks with me along life's narrow way.
He lives, He lives, salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives?
He lives within my heart.

In all the world around me I see His loving care,
And though my heart grows weary, I never will despair;
I know that He is leading thru all the stormy blast,
The day of His appearing will come at last.

Refrain

Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian, lift up your voice and sing
Eternal hallelujahs to Jesus Christ the King!
The Hope of all who seek Him, the Help of all who find,
None other is so loving so good and king.

Refrain

HYMN HISTORY:

Rev. Alfred Ackey (1887-1960) was preaching during an evangelistic crusade. After the service he was trying to persuade a young man to give his heart to Christ, when the man said, "Why should I worship a dead Jew?" Ackey stated, "HE LIVES! I tell you, He is not dead, but lives here and now! Jesus Christ is more alive today than ever before. I can prove it by my own experience, as well as the testimony of countless thousands." Later that evening the young man gave his heart to Christ. It was during this experience that Ackey wrote not only the words but also the tune for our hymn, "He Lives."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I serve a risen Savior, He's in the world today;
I know that He is living, whatever men may say;
I see His hand of mercy, I hear His voice of cheer,
And just the time I need Him He's always near.
In all the world round me I see His loving care, And tho my heart grows weary I never will despair;
I know that He is leading thru all the stormy blast,
The day of His appearing will come at last.
Rejoice, rejoice, O Christian, lift up your voice and sing
Eternal hallelujahs to Jesus Christ the King!
The hope of all who seek Him, the help of all who find,
None other is so loving, so good and kind.
He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today!
Nita
Hi, everyone.  I'm just here quick to say hi.  My grandaughter's birthday is today (16) and we're all meeting at a local pizza parlor for her party.  Kim and I have to go get the cake just before we do.
I'm glad Al and Marbeth are ok, Marilyn.  I wanted to talk behind his back, but since he said we can't, I guess we'd better not, eh? :)
Great to read all the posts.  I'll be back later.   Nita
Pat
Nita, I was going to send a birthday card to Angel but all of her emails are returned to me so her address isn't correct in her profile on here.
Ruth Ann I am glad that you didn't have a hard time adjusting to going back to work.
Jeanne Lee It is so good to have you back with us  on a regular basis. Please try to come in  every day.  Have you done any photography lately?
Nita I will talk about Al behind his back anytime  :lol: Let's see now, He had on a thick jacket to keep warm and a big smile on his face. One leg was swollen quite a lot and he had his compression stocking on the other leg. With the power off Marbeth is unable to use her C-pap machine. I suggested they get her some Breathe Right strips as they would help to hold her nostrils open. There I talked about Al behind his back.  :lol:
This evening I have been working on making another Stationery  for one of the Stationery groups I am in. Created a nice Welcome graphic to use here at another time.
