JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Hello Ladies & Gentleman !!

TBEAR is just checking in ... well it's been a wild ride here for us in OHIO & we have not seen the end of the weather as of yet.  Well, my daughter had NO SCHOOL & my husband did not go into work today an so I am glad to have stayed home in a nice warm house !!  So, we have ohhhh about 1 inch or more of ice outside on our driveway alone. My kitchen window looks so pretty ... likes it's frosted over an it's thee same way on my patio doors.  So, our cats are inside the garage where it's warm & dry so we will have to see what happens tomorrow.

Well, I better get off & get some food into me so take care & hope that everyone else is HIGH & DRY an warm in there part of the world.  Till next time stay well everyone !!

Janet -- Were you in the part of thailand that got tsunamied?  Just thought of that today when I looked at a map of the affected areas.

TBear -- take pictures of the ice on the windows.  Sometimes you can get some really neat looking patterns and stuff.

The preheat beeper just went off on the stove, so now I 've got to run and get supper started!!

cheers!

No, Karma, we were in Bangkok (Central Thailand) for a week, then a week in Chiang Mai and a week in Chiang Rai, both of wheich are in Northern Thailand.  But---if we had been on a scuba trip, we would have been in Phuket or the islands near there, smack in the middle of the area that was hit.

Paulette, good to see you checking in!

They canceled school around here so far all three days this week, so the kids are having a long vacation!  Don't know if they will be going tomorrow or not.

Thank you for asking Janet that, Karma.... I was about to ask the same thing.

Janet - seeing this disaster, must have made your heart "drop"....knowing that you were just there.  The pictures just make me weep...especially of the dear children

Quote from: Pat Scott on January 05, 2005, 12:22:31 PM
Chorus
Oh, Love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure
the saints' and angels' song.

Could we with ink the oceans fill
and were the skies of parchment made,

The chorus is my favorite part of that hymn....next to "we with ink"  The first time I sang that I was too busy trying to read the notes and getting it right.

Sometime later, we sang it again and I stopped to think about the oceans being ink and the skies the paper......NEVER would we run out of things to say about the love of God.  It brought tears to my eyes to think I would never run out of ink nor out of paper either.
I am a nobody
Telling everybody
There is a somebody
That can save anybody

Brrr!  It is also cold here on what was once Sunny Vancouver Island.  Our street is still covered with snow and ice, so I am only going out when in the car.  Walking is not too safe at the moment.  Amanda has three more 'new' baby bunnies and fortunately they are doing okay outside in the warm nest.  Misty seems to be the only one in the family who enjoys the cold and snow.....

I went to town with Wendy and got my prescription filled....fortunately they paid all but 105.00 of the 400.00 cost.  More to come in the next little while....certainly glad that we have a system to cover most of our medical costs.  Another thing to praise God about!

Read a little blurb that made sense to me:

QuoteWe are glad to humble ourselves and are not in the least interested in becoming great. Let Jesus take everything from us! He must increase. That is the only thing we want to hold on toâ€"that he acts, that he has significance for people, and that they find courage and strength through him.

May God grant that we feel a little of this. Do not think only about your sins, your misery, your death, or every misfortune you can remember from the past year. Think about all those great and small things that you know came from the Lord

Must go and check on the pictures Janet has posted.  Hope that everyone has a good sleep this night and Pleasant Dreams.

God Bless.   Liz

Goodness! I'm very thankful (along with Larry and Papa John) for the nice temperatures in our "neck of the woods," as my dad used to say.

I had a lovely evening tonight with my brother and his wife. They live in Ohio, but are vacationing here in town. They invited me for dinner and, since they're staying in a condo, she cooked. Then, we watched the "Pa6tch Adams" movie - such a heart warming story.

So, while it's late, I'm quite relaxed and ready to find my bed.

Y'all have a good evening.

Ruth Ann
