JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Papa John

I always enjoy reading the posts and seeing each one of you.  I am still having a lot of trouble with my back and just don't feel like writing much.  I spent most of the morning on the floor with a heating pad.

Anyway I wanted to stop in and say hello.

I Jn 4:15-19
15   If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God.
16   And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him.
17   In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like him.
18   There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
19   We love because he first loved us.  (NIV)

Eph 2:8-9  For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-- and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast.(NIV)

Janet

I'm home from the fair now.  This afternoon I went out and spent a couple hours doing face painting for the kids, in the church booth.  When I was setting up my supplies, there were no kids in sight-----but they came in droves when they saw the first painted face!  They love to have their faces painted!

I took Beth out earlier and she did well in her wheelchair.  We ate lunch there.  Then this evening we all went back for the free barbecue and watched the local talent show.  I will go back tomorrow and do more face painting.

Ladybug, don't feel you missed the mark with your answer!  I understand what you were feeling and saying, but just didn't think the scripture was referring to that.  If we allowed it to, the state of the world around us could really drag us down, but I keep reminding myself:  God is in control!  We love you, and hope you have a good night.  (((hug)))

I am chatting with our sweet Mieka, so will stop this for now.  See you tomorrow!

July 22

"Lord, it's not popular today to be 'old-fashioned.' But I commit
myself today to the old cross. Help me today to deny myself, to take
up my cross, and to follow You. Amen."

Chris, this was a very eye-opening devotional today from Dr. Tozer.  It blessed my soul.

Near the Cross
(Click to hear music)

The angel showed me the river of the water of life,
as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God
and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city.
Revelation 22:1-2

Words: Fanny Crosby, in Bright Jewels (New York: Biglow & Main, 1869).
Music: W. Howard Doane

Jesus, keep me near the cross,
There a precious fountain
Free to all, a healing stream
Flows from Calvary's mountain.

Refrain

In the cross, in the cross,
Be my glory ever;
Till my raptured soul shall find
Rest beyond the river.

Near the cross, a trembling soul,
Love and mercy found me;
There the bright and morning star
Sheds its beams around me.

Refrain

Near the cross! O Lamb of God,
Bring its scenes before me;
Help me walk from day to day,
With its shadows o'er me.

Refrain

Near the cross I'll watch and wait
Hoping, trusting ever,
Till I reach the golden strand,
Just beyond the river.

Refrain

Thank You so much for the Birthday wished :)
Last night my husband and a Friends husband fixed us our birthday dinner..
They were awesome-my friend shares the same birthday as me.
We had Rib Eye Steak-Salad,Baked Potatoe,Pasta Salad and Cheesecake Lol.

After taking a day spending time with my heavenly Father and seeking my husbands Spiritaul guidance we decided that the business I was doing was not for us-due to many things that has transpired and lack of time with my family(which is my number 1)Priority..I left the company.
The moment I left the Lord gave me a wonderful peace in my spirit. I know this is the confirmation that I did the right thing.

Rachelle, it was so good to know that you saw your birthday wishes.  Glad you had such a nice birthday dinner too!  I'd also be stuffed!  LOL

I'm happy that you felt the Lord's leading in your life.  I'm happy that you are now feeling so good about your decisions.  Thanks so very much for sharing with us.

Marilyn

Hi all I am back home again this time for the rest of the night, Thank you Jesus!!!!

It's kinda cool here tonight, the fog is rolling in too. I went to Trinidad today and you couldn't see very far past the shore for the fog. We had to pick up somemore stuff from gloria's old house, her car is full so tomorrow I have to unload it. I'm wearing out fast, haha.

Nite now y-all.
