Wow! it is 5:30m pm here and it is still HOT at 103 F.

I have been in the house all day except to go back and forth to the garage doing laundry for 6 1/2 hours. Getting all the bedding clean before I  leave here.

Sonja how does Zachery feel today after the treatment yesterday?

Gilbert called today and told me he wants to leave here early Sat. morning or maybe even Friday night. He will be here Thursday evening.
He also told me that the neighbors dog is not spayed and there are some puppies living under my utility shed. He tried to get them out but they wouldn't come out. I may have to call the shelter when I get there. It is called Friends for Life, and they put the dogs and cats in foster homes until they are adopted. If I didn't already have 3 dogs I would consider being a foster parent.

Wow, am I glad I stayed home this evening! Indiana got hit with horrific stupendous thunderstorms. It was worse on the west side of Indianapolis. I hope Etta Sue and company didn't get soaked. They even had tornados in Boone County. Three of them. Hey Karma, see if you had stayed around the weather would have let you see a tornado.(VBG) It wasn't too bad here. The wind started to blow hard and gust, but only for a short time. I walked across the street and talked to a neighbor and it started to rain so I hurried back across the street. It poured down and lightening flashed and it thundered, but it never got real bad. I am glad I live on the right side of Indy! The weather people said they didn't think it would stop the fireworks since it was 7:00pm and the fireworks didn't start until 9:00pm. I am still going to stay home!! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My young friend Stephy called today, then came to my home and climbed up to get the filter out of the air conditioner for me. I am afraid to climb after all those falls, so had not been able to start the air conditioner yet this summer. Since it's in the 90s, I'm really grateful for the help.

Then, she took me to a nice restaurant and made me a pretty good deal:  "Ruth Ann, I'll pay the check if you'll take care of the tip!"

Then, she took me to see a funny movie. We laughed and laughed.

Such a great day - time with my friend who loves me and now a home that's beginning to cool off. How nice!

Pat, I've had that same surgery, and I had a few days of difficulty and pain, too. I can empathize with you.

Thanks Ruth Ann...  It really can be painful.  Thanks for the offer, Jen!

Jen, shame on you!  If you don't want to follow a doctor's orders, why go to one at all?  You're only wasting his time and yours.     Don't forget, God has given the doctor the intelligence and the skill to treat things like our injury and He has put the doctor in your life for your benefit.  If you don't accept this kind of help from Him, you can't exect a miraculous healing either.  

So now you just listen to Grandma Lee and be a good girl.  Stay off of that leg, no matter how inconvenient it seems and take those Advil, even if you don't like the idea!

OK, now I'm off my soapbox.  

Time to lock the door for another day...
