Morning Devotional...


How then can man be justified with God?
Job 25:4

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 5:1

Justification by faith is like a wondrous gift box. When we open its wrappings we find it is filled with a multitude of other blessings, each of infinite quality and value.

There are so many blessings wrapped in that package: forgiveness, love, acceptance in heaven, peace, wisdom, joy, righteousness, comfort, help, hope.

Take courage, dear saint. He will not fail you.

Take Him at His word and He will see you home.

Does that mean anarchy and lawlessness?

with confidence and boldness to the Father.
With His help, we are brought into a circle
of accountable friends, tied by the grace
of God and the Spirit of Christ.
Thank God for the "new way"!

lovely words. How is Bryan i still pray for him but also for you, his mother and all his dears.

SONJA laminate on the floors is very good for people with alergies. Also for my son Marcel is it good
he has sometimes bronchites no more so much as he was a little boy. But when he has a cold then he must to the doctor then he has bronchitus.

Today we have a very sunny day it shall be 22*C. I go sit outsite today. We have had such a lot rain and also tomorow shall we have again rain.

I really enjoyed both devotionals today. I'm thankful that I feel better yesterday and today than I've felt in quite a long while.

The pain has begun to subside and my energy level has really increased. Intractable pain will really wear a person down, won't it Judy.

I think of you oftne and pray that you'll find healing and release from the pain.

Y'all have a good day. I'm dressed and ready for work. So, it's out the door I go!

Ria, my mom has laminate in her kitchen.  Not only is it good for people with allergies, it is really easy to clean!!!

I haven't heard yet from my daughter-in-law but I expect that I will be hearing soon as I have her car and she needs it today as they are back from vacation now.


It's so nice to read your posts each morning.  I especially look forward when I'm turning on my computer to see what Ria has put in.  What a delight you are to all of us on this side of the Big Pond, Ria.  Thanks for your daily offerings on the site.

I'm so glad that you are feeling a lot better, Ruth Ann.  That's encouraginig.
Thanks for the work you do as well, Ruth Ann, in the Prayer and Praise area of our site.  One thing I should mention, if you've put a prayer request in that area and it's now solved or finalized and we no longer need to pray for that specific request could you let Ruth Ann or myself know so that it can be removed and in that way, our area will be kept up to date at all times?  Thanks so much.


Karma--Library Day!   Sounds like a nice time ahead of you.  I always enjoyed my times in the library with my kiddies.


Have any of you heard of these emails that you can have sent to you from the "Flylady"?  They are from a site where you learn to be more organized in your house!  LOL  Well, I just got one and it says, "Important!  Go and shine your kitchen sink!" so I better go and do it!  LOL

She uploaded them to Photo-Sense and now has posted them on CP for all of us to enjoy.  She practiced first with one of my photos that resides over on Photo-Sense and if you go to the Practice area, you'll see that photo that she posted under Sue's Practice Area but then she went to the Photos Here and posted some lovely photos of her vacation.

It is somthing I have been working at as of late.  I think that as Christians, we miss a lot of what God has to say to us because we are not still before him, even in our devotional time, our minds are still cluttered with things we need to get done, problems we face, etc.

If we can master the art of being still and knowing that he is God, all else will fall into place and perspective.

We are getting ready for our garage sale.

Yesterday we decided to pick up and go to Reptile Gardens in Rapid City.  It was fun.  We got a free pass for the whole summer.

You wouldn't believe what happened to me last night while taking pictures. 

I went to a war cemetary and took a few pictures.  I wanted to get another angle so I went to the fence and started up a hill.  I was a bit freaked out and was thinking about all the people buried in the ground and what they were like when all the sudden the sprinkler system come on and went all the way up from my ankles to my head.  Thank goodness I was in front of it or it would have soaked my camera.  But you talk about being scared.  I jumped and ran so fast.  Mike of course was behind me watching the whole thing and laughed so hard he hurt his stomach. 
It was a cold trip home. hehehehee....

I better get going.  The Pastor of your church as made me the photographer for the events that go on in our church and person to work on our churchs website, so I will be busy with that.

After reading the devotionals what came to mind is:

     Forgiveness on our part towards another, is God's way of setting us free from the bondage we are under from unforgiveness and holding grudges.  A grudge that is held, holds us as well.

I'm SOOOOO glad to see you posting.  It's so good to share with other folks who love the Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

I also do email but then I alone am the receipient of the blessings and it's so nice to share with others so that's why I choose to post.  We have others who are on very slow computers.  Two are moderators on this site so we're just very patient with them.      (Most of the time anyway.  LOL)

I love the pictures of the bugs. I did not ever know of all this bugs. EEeeeeewwww (it is perhaps why I like the pictures I think, to see all what is new to learn).

My work it is done for the week.  (I did work SO hard ) and It is my hope to rest and read some.    and drink green tea on the beach today with God.

The Church: Wilderness Encroachment

Because you say, "I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of
nothing"--and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor,
blind, and naked....
--Revelation 3:17

The wilderness encroaches on the fruitful field, and unless there is
constant fighting off of this encroachment there will be little or
no harvest.

I think it is exactly the same with the church, for as one of the old
saints said, "Never think for a minute that there will be a time when
you will not be tempted. He is tempted the most effectively who
thinks that he isn't being tempted at all."

Just when we think we are not being tempted, that is the time of
danger, and so it is with the church. We lean back on our own laurels
and say, "That may be true of some churches, but it is not true of us.
We are increased with goods and have need of nothing!"

This is to remind us that we must fight for what we have. Our little
field of God's planting must have the necessary weapons and plenty of
watchmen out there to drive off the crows and all sorts of creatures,
to say nothing of the little insects that destroy the crops. We have
to keep after them. We must keep our field healthy, and there is only
one way to do that, and that is to keep true to the Word of God. We
must constantly go back to the grass roots and get the Word into the
church.  When He is Come, 13,14.

"Lord, You have blessed us richly, but we've also seen the work of
the enemy. Don't ever let us become complacent in Your blessing, Lord.
Keep us vigilant that our field might stay healthy and the little
weeds might never be allowed to take root. Amen."

Sonja ~ I love to watch dancing.  I have two left feet but I love to watch anyone else.  I can only imagine how I would feel to watch Chandraya, Lila Mae and you dancing.  The last time Ivalou and I went to Myrtle Beach, SC, to see the StarStoppers National Competition, we watched 799 dances in one week and never got tired of seeing the dances and the different costumes.  Perhaps I had better see if Ivalou would like to do that again next year.  We have seen the competition 5 times but not since 2000.  Congratulations on your placing on DPC.

Shawnee, I read 'Upper Room' daily for my devotions.  Today the thought for the day was 'God doesn't promise an easy journey, just a safe landing'.  I hope I remember that when things just don't go as planned.  Glad you are home and may God give you comfort with your health concerns.

Hi Mieka!  Glad your work is done.  Heard you were cooking for a bunch of people.  Whew!!!  I know you will enjoy resting with God and drinking green tea on the beach.  Wish I could join you.  Love you, Mieka!

I have mowed the grass and Ivalou came over for lunch.  The rest of the day will be leisure.  I have started crocheting an afghan for step-granddaughter, Carol, and her husband-to-be, Scott's, wedding in October.  Surprised but the cats are leaving the yarn alone.

Busy day here!

I have a question for all of you:  The Word says in heaven there will be no sorrow, nor pain, nor crying.  But we all have people we love who did not, before they died,  or have not yet accepted Jesus as their Saviour.  So how can there not be sorrow in heaven over that?  Won't we be missing those loved ones?

Someone asked me this question, and I answered as best I could, but would like to have your input on it.

Darrel and I went to Garden City to give an estimate on an alarm system today, also stopped at Wal*Mart.  It is such a wonderful day here, cool and nice---we had another good rain last night!

Back later, got to run to the P.O. and mail Curtis' Care Package!

Janet - we'll be much more taken up by the glory and wonder of our Lord over on that other shore.  We'll see how wonderfully right He is in all things, and we'll see His love in all its colors.  We'll then know that He has done only right in all His judgements.  We'll love Him as we never loved before.

It's in such a context that we'll see the lost who are left behind.  Then, and only then, it'll all make sense to us.  He is GOD.  That makes all the difference.

Mieka!  Sooooo very good to see you here!  You said,

I would so very much like to join you - save me a goodly mug of the best green tea!  God will indeed hear our hearts as we talk to Him!

Janet, I more or less agree with Al.  I think we'll be so wrapped up in worshiping God that we won't even notice who else is there or who is not.

I don't often remark about the wonderful devotionals we are blessed with here in NEM, but please know - Pat, Ria, Papa John and Chris with your scripture pictures - I really enjoy them all. Even though it's usually late evening before I get to see and study them, instead of starting my day they help me to unwind at the end of it.  Thanks so much!
