Hello Everyone...

I've had a busy day but a happy day.  Now I have to pack my Avon before I can go to bed.

Tomorrow, I teach at the Senior Centre here in Guelph and then home to do some gardening.


Oh, Larry...   My heart goes out to you, my brother in the Lord.  I remember Jack being as tired as Jerry mentions above and it was so awful as we just didn't know what to do.  I pray that the treatment will be just so favorable to you.

Larry I forgot to tell you that i am prayng for you to.

I spoke to Gilbert this morning, he tells me he had an endoscopy yesterday and that he was too groggy to remember what the doctor told him, But the Doctor told Sarah that there was some irritation in Gilberts stomach. He was having ulcer like symptoms and then that trouble with his thyroid being over active and causing his stomach to secrete too much acid. They had him on Prevacid. But he said theyare going to give him something else. His regular Dr. had treated him herbally and got the pain to stop. He has a female MD/ND/midwife/ Alternative Dr.

We visit every day.  We talk about our children, grandchildren, local politics, aches and pains, sorrows, triumphs.  We discuss the Sunday sermon, our reading of scripture, a new book that touched or troubled us.  We post photographs.  We sing.  We laugh a lot.  Sometimes we cry.  We make an effort to listen intently.

Our visits to CP is our holy time.  As we read each others posts and look at each others pictures, we posts our thoughts, hopes, and fears to each other and to God.  Our posts are a manifestation of Christ in the world.  Being part of the Body of Christ is not a private walk with Jesus; it is two or three people gathered together with Christ in their midst.  When we show compassion or 'listen' with love, we are expressing Christ.  We are being the church in the world.  Even though we aren't perfect and we don't have all the right answers, we experience Christs's presence in these times together.

Who needs someone to listen???!!!

Oh, Larry....my heart goes out to you and your problems.  May God give you a great gift of comfort and ease while restoring your strenghth so you can receive these treatments.

My posts here will be brief tonight.  This was the day for my Remicade treatment.  Its an intravenos drug that I get every 6 weeks to help with rheumatoid arthritis.  It makes me very tired for a couple of days.

Tomorrow, Norm sees a respirologist; hopefully he will help him sort out the breathing problems.

Gosh, its awful getting old!...LOL

Everyone is welcoming Meika... so I must say how much I miss you too!  As Papa John mentioned; please take lots of photos.

Janet, have a wonderful time with those grandchildren,,, enjoy all the hugs! How far away do they live?  I'm sure you have told us before.

Etta Sue.:  Today's 'one-liner' was especially funny!

Well, we finished our Vacation Bible School tonight.  I have enjoyed it but I'm glad it is over.  The kids were great.  I hope it was a really great experience for the little children.

I have an appointment for a week from tomorrow to have another steroid injection in my spine.  I think it has helped some and I'm hoping a second injection will help even more.

Larry we are all thinking about you and praying that your treatments will be just what you need.

I hope you all have a good night's rest.  Tomorrow I go to the nursing home for my Thursday devotion time which is the second Thursday each month so I may be late again checking in here.

We had another great bible STudy on Words I think this was our 5th one. How we need to use the words God has given us to use  again the enemy.

I'm a little early tonight as I have an early start in the morning at the Senior Centre and I feel tired.

So, time to lock the door and start a new thread.
