Have you ever thought about the fact that man is the only creature God created who has to wear clothing to cover himself? All the other creatures grow their own coverings. Some grow fur, some feathers, others scales, or leathery hide. But all are clothed from the inside out!

Most people don't realize it, but in the beginning, man was clothed that way too. He was made in the image of God. And, if you'll look in Ezekiel 8:2, you'll find that God is clothed in fire from the loins up and from the loins down. That fire is His glory emanating outward from His inner- most being.

When man was first created, he was like that too. He was covered with the very glory of God. It radiated from his inner being outward. That's why he had no sense of nakedness until after he sinned and the glory departed from him.

It was a tragic day when man lost that glorious covering. But I want you to know something today. It's not lost forever. The Word of God says we can gain it back.

You see, when you put your faith in the blood of Jesus and were born again, the glory of God once again took up residence in you. It may be well hidden right now, but believe me, it's in there.

And the Bible says that as you gaze into the Lord's face by studying the Word and fellowshiping with Him, as you renew your mind to understand who you are in Christ, you'll be changed into His image on the outside as well. As you learn to hear His voice and obey it, you'll start giving outward expression of the glory within you. Little by little, you'll be turned inside out!

Instead of simply staring into your closet every morning, spend some time gazing at Jesus and beholding His Word. Let Him clothe you in His radiant presence. Once His glory starts shining through, anything you wear will look beautiful on you.

Janet I forgot to tell you that I did look at the photos you posted but I didn't leave any comments. You look very pretty in the photo at the shower and Beth looks happy to see John again. Thank you for he great devotional I will go back and read it again when I am done with this post.

I planted tossed out some grass seed today in the back yard.  I hope it rains enough to get it started, that shouldn't take much plus we are having the usually summer dripping fog.

Well I guess I will call it a night and go watch TV in the bedroom. Good nite all y-all.

Hi everyone.  Woke up early so decided to get up.  I have my morning chores dones like emptying the dish washer, feeding the cat, feeding me and today gettin the trash can out to the street since this is pickup day.

Our son was over yesterday afternoon and did several tasks I needed done, including reseating the heat sink on my CPU.  It has been running hot and he found he had put too much thermal paste between the CPU and the heat sink and fan.  This seems to have solved the problem.  He also fixed the TV cable through the walls into Pat's office to a separate outlet so it wouldn't degradate the Internet connection and our phone service.  There were also a couple more tasks he did for us.

He told us later in the afternoon that he and his wife have made the decision to sell out here in Atlanta and move to Augusta, SC (right across the river from Augusta, GA.  They will move in with her mother, who has a big house that has some apartments.  He still is without work so will seek work over there.  It is just a litle over 2 hours drive from us so that isn't too bad.  We hate to see them leave but they must do what is needed to get on with their life.

Janet, that was in interesting devotional today and told me something I didn't realize.  Glad you were able torest yesterday afternoon.  I haven't looked at your photos yet but will try to do so soon.  I usually look at a lot of them at once rather than on a daily basis.

Marilyn, hope your grass planting works. We are past that ime here in Georgia as it is getting to hot.

Sue, congrats on your full-time job.  I know you have been seeking that for sometime.  I hope you really like your new work.

JudyB, glad to hear that you all have recovered from the flu.

Etta Sue, sorry you missed the graduation but it sounds like you were very helpful. Hope you get your billing problems solved quickly and wouldn't you think a company could reroute correspondence to the right department if it had the wrong room on it.  I am very suspicious of some of the business practices of some companies. 

Carol, my wife has had a quilt or two machine quilted for her.  She isn't making large quilts anymore as says they are just too hard to handle.

I hope to get a lot of things done today.  Pat will be atthe church this morning so I wil have the house pretty much to myself.  I am sure I will listen to some of my music.

It is beginning to look like we are going to be impacted a bit by the first hurricane for the year as a front is also moving in from the midwest.  Just hope we don't have tornadoes.  Won't worry until necessary.

It is afternoon here in the U.K. and it is another hot one  :thumbsup:  I must say that I am enjoying a bit of Summer.

I woke up feeling ill this morning so I decided to stay in the house and just do some housework.  I will attend the mid-week meeting tonight when someone is coming to preach on the holiness of God.

Yesterday was a good day with family coming to visit for the birthday.  I told my mother that people on C.P. wished her a happy birthday too.

I can't stay long on the computer as someone is coming to the  house to talk to me about something so I will just say God bless everyone on CP today.  I will  pop back later and spend more time here.

Marilyn, thank you for asking about my husband the other day.  He is still having some trouble but between Jesus and the doctors he thinks he is getting better. (We just wish we knew what was causing the problems with his chest and arm and leg) He went to his regular physician yesterday who told him it could be inflammation causing problems with his nerve endings, and gave him a shot. He has an appointment with a digestive specialist in July to look into hernias.

I want to thank everyone again for your prayers during my sisters illness.  I can still feel God's hand in my life concerning her. Oh, I miss her greatly at times, but the hurt is not there like I would have thought.  Thanks again <3

I hope everyone has a great day today and may God richly bless each one who comes this way.

Good morning all!

Just wanted to pop in and say thanks for all the warm welcomes!  ;)

The devotional this morning was AWESOME! Funny how God knows just what you need, right when you need it. Well, maybe not funny, but surely something of a mystery to the human mind.

I slept in this morning- didn't get up 'till 8:30 and I still have yet to eat breakfast. Let the chickens out- had to put the roos in rooster jail for acting like fools. "There ain't nuthin' worse than a floggin' rooster!" The ducks REALLY want out, but they were out and about all day yesterday so today is their day in the barn....at least until I get a new pen built for them.

Man the 'to-do' list just keeps gettin' longer and longer!  :uglystupid:

At any rate, hope ya'll have an awesome day in the LORD and are filled with HIS joy and compassion as you lay your head down tonight!

Dear Samantha, thank you for sharing with regards to your husband's physical problems.  I liked the expression between Jesus and the doctors it's good to know that God can bring healing through the work of the medical profession.  It is also encouraging to know that you are finding strength with regards to your sister too.  God bless you Samantha.

It's good to meet up with Muddy-Sneakers too.  I do trust that you will enjoy joining in with the forum.  It is great to be able to enjoy such solid Christian fellowship via the Internet.  Your home situation sounds about the opposite to mine, with so much animal life around you.  All I see are cats and dogs.  Is it a full-blown farm where you live or do you just keep animals on your premises.  It's great to meet you.

I've just had a small meeting with a man who is responsible for regenerating the area where I live.  Work is just beginning on a £20,000,000 project for new housing and health facilities just across the road from where I live.  I was so pleased to hear that all of the wasteland around me is going to be put to good use, it was really cheered me up.

Marilyn ~ Hope your grass planting works.  I have used an empty cup with plastic lid from McD's.  Poke holes in the lid and put in the grass seed.  Then turn it upside down and swish away....planted!

Karma ~ Tell your sister Happy Birthday!  Just wait until Trav is 26!  Then you can wonder where the time has gone!

Sue ~ Congrats on the new job!  Hope you like it and it is just what you want!

Anthony ~ The new project across the street from you should make your property value go up...and less crime in the area.  It will be exciting to watch it all come together.  Get your camera out!

Christine ~ Muddy Sneakers...it has been a long time since I have been around chickens and ducks.  Where I live now used to have chickens and where I lived before moving back here used to have ducks.  So I am familiar with both.  Do you have any other animals?  Get your camera out!

Samantha ~ Thanks for the update on your husband.  Prayers are still going upward from me.

Larry ~ I know you will miss having your son around to help you do father and son things together.  But two hours isn't so bad.  Sure hope he finds employment soon and I know he hopes so, too.

Janet ~ Thanks for the devotion.  It is comforting to know we are clothed in God's glory.  Also my email address is the earthlink address.  CoreCom is no longer doing business with me!!

Photography Guild was last evening.  Every meeting I am amazed at the variety and the skill of all these photographers.  Each member may bring up to 4 photographs on CD, Smart Card, matted or on slides to show on the huge overhead screen.  Everything from insects to views of the Virgin Islands. 

So far so good with the internet today.  I may call CoreComm today to see if they got my letter that I sent last Thursday.  But the P.O. said they should have my Proof of Delivery letter by tomorrow afternoon! 

Today is a relaxing day.  About time!!

I am slowly waking up today - Hi Marilyn.  Have to get to the foot doc this morning and we will see how things have progressed.

We received a little basket from Africa.  Don likes to write out checks to meaninful charities and he has paid for two goats for a family - it really is a good lift in their lives.  Do wish that they could send a picture but we are assured it is a legit service.  

Sue:  Congratulations on your new job!  Wishing you a good time with this new adventure.

Larry:  Well, so far your son doesn't have to move too far away.  Getting a job can entail so many changes.  It was nice of him to come out to organize and help in your office area.

Anthony:  Sorry that you felt ill - it sounds like you are better?  The health facilities nearby - that is a good happening for a lot of people.

Ritz:  Congratulations on your picture being used on a book cover.  

Muddy Sneakers:  We were in North Carolina this spring and it was lovely.

Carol my plans for the day? Go to Arcata to Jan's house to clean her house, take her to the Dr. and fix dinner(lunch) for both of us. I man an Apple pie using the crisp on top instead of pie crust for dessert so I am taking that over there. I should be home from work by 1:30 today. I plan to stop at the Dollar Tree store if I can remember and write down what it was I wanted to get. Jan is my private pay client. I don't work for anyone else on her day. Once a month we go out shopping and to lunch/dinner just making it a fun day she is 93 yrs young.

Etta Sue I just  grabbed a handful and  let it sprinkle through my fingers.

  TWO FRIENDS WERE WALKING THROUGH THE DESERT.  DURING SOME POINT OF THE JOURNEY THEY HAD AN ARGUMENT AND ONE FRIEND SLAPPED THE OTHER ONE IN THE FACE.


  THE ONE WHO GOT SLAPPED WAS HURT, BUT WITHOUT SAYING ANYTHING, WROTE IN THE SAND: TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE.

  THEY KEPT ON WALKING, UNTIL THEY FOUND AN OASIS,  WHERE THEY DECIDED  TO TAKE A BATH. THE ONE WHO HAD BEEN SLAPPED GOT STUCK IN THE MIRE AND STARTED DROWNING, BUT THE FRIEND SAVED HIM.


  AFTER HE RECOVERED FROM THE NEAR DROWNING, HE WROTE ON A STONE: TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE.


  THE FRIEND WHO HAD SLAPPED AND SAVED HIS BEST FRIEND ASKED HIM, "AFTER I HURT YOU, YOU WROTE IN THE SAND AND NOW, YOU WRITE ON  STONE, WHY?"

  THE OTHER FRIEND REPLIED "WHEN SOMEONE HURTS US WE SHOULD WRITE IT DOWN IN SAND WHERE WINDS OF FORGIVENESS CAN ERASE IT AWAY.

Good Day everybody.

I am not taking the time to comment on posts.

Today is the day of the assembly that we have been waiting for.  Melaura gets her awards today.  She is so excited.  She is staying with friends that the girls have adopted as Grandma and Grandpa.  She called me 3 times just to remind me of the upcoming awards.  She wants her hair trimmed and stylled for this as well.  Such dramatics in effect!

I see I missed Etta Sue's post.  How come it's only on occasions that the forum informs you that someone has posted while you've been composing a message?  It's a good idea Etta Sue about taking some photographs of the building work.  I'll have to make the effort to do it.

Hi Carol, I hope everything goes well at the foot clinic.  That was a great idea to buy the goats for the people in Africa - very practical.

Larry, that's a great message and definately food for thought.

Grrr!  How do your settings get changed, anyway?  I had to go login and then couldn't remember which password I use in here.  Nuisance.

Anthony, Sonja is doing great, happy with her husband and family and keeping really busy with her photography.  She is shooting quite a few weddings and such lately.  I talk to her pretty often on yahoo.

Marilyn, you better be fasting and dieting like crazy!  We are only allowed 40 pounds each in our suitcases for the trip to China.  :lol:  Think you can make it, and still allow me a few clothes, before the end of July?  ;)

I am struggling with trying to remember everything I need to take for the reunion.  With the power chair, we have very limited cargo space in the van, so have to compact stuff as much as possible.  Abby called earlier to tell me what she is bringing.  What a joy that child is!  :)

Etta Sue, I thought that was right, but need to delete your CoreComm address, I think I sent you something to that sometime in the past few days.  :-[

Larry, I had read that before, but what a great reminder!  We really DO need to "write our hurts in sand and kindnesses in stone."  Thanks for sharing.  I wish your son could find the needed employment right there, but life has some strange twists at times.  At least I'm glad he isn't going really far away.

Samantha, good to see you, and Sneakers, good to hear from you.  I used to have pet ducks when I was a kid.  They would follow every step I took........until they discovered the pond.  Then they forgot me rather quickly.  And we always had chickens around.  Your chicken photos in the gallery are some of the best I have ever seen anywhere!!

Ed's still around.  This is my busy time of the year, so I've been in and out of here, but not posting.  This business will continue till September when the big project is completed.  This afternoon I must go view 8 houses as a possible for our committee to work on in Sept.

Once a year the City has a project that paints a needy person's home and fixes up the landscaping.  We have 50-60 people show up and we paint the house w/three coats of paint in about 4 hours.  There is a ton of preparation before the project and finish work after the project.

I had one meeting this morning and two this evening and one again tomorrow morning.  All this while driving dealer trades to all parts of Ohio and Michigan....was down to Centerville Ohio in the Cincy area last week for a trade... took 9 hrs round trip..

Between church responsibilities and projects for the city I'm about as busy as I want to be.  It's 3 PM here and I just had lunch...course lookin' at my picture you might think, "He could stand to miss a couple more of those lunches...dinners too."   Ha Ha

Ed:  What a job of painting a house so quickly & three coats of paint in one day!  You make me feel so tired.

It is in the mid to high 90's daily - way over our normal temps & still no rain.  I just know something has to give - black outs or water shortage. 

Don is home and he really enjoyed going out in the boat and just talking with oldest son. 

Did not see the foot doctor today, instead, a twelve-year-old girl gave me the orthodicts.  Well, that isn't entirely true.  She didn't know anything.  Going back in two weeks.  I know nothing.

Hey there all y'all ... I have been here several times today.  Tried to post each time and, for some unknown reason, couldn't!  Something about a keyboard error!   :-\  I adjusted a few things in the control panel and rebooted a time or two; even ran the system restore.   At last it seems all is working as it should (at the moment) but by now so many posts have passed by that I cannot respond to them all and it's too late to respond to the ones I had originally planned on! 

I went into the jigsaw puzzle area and played for a couple hours and did other things like looking at all the photos in the gallery, etc.  The mouse worked fine, I just couldn't type anything.

Guess I'd better get on out of here again before I mess something up.   :sulk:

The project is in its 9th year and we've gotten it down to a science.  Besides with 50-60 people and a lot of brushes and paint buckets things move pretty fast.

The house we do has been lacking paint for so long that the primer coat soaks right in and drys right away.  The second coat drys a little slower and the third is still wet when we leave.

It is a satisfying and worthwhile project.  It is usually a senior who can no longer care for their home.  We paint it and put in slow growing plants/shrubs and perinnials and the home still looks good years later.

Carol, that must be very frustrating--not only the waiting but another trip as well.  Glad Don had a nice time and nice visit with the son.

Jane, you sure did a lot of hard work in your yard!  Nothing seems to get done around here as far as outside work.  I have never cared for yard work, and Darrel does good to just keep it mowed.  The area is just too big for us. (5 acres.)

Marilyn, not sure what you meant to say---you are NOT going to Fay's?

Abby is here, think I will start her getting ready for bed.  I have to clean off her bed, it got covered up in the packing process.  :-\
