Morning Devotional...

I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
Isaiah 6:8

The voice Isaiah heard came directly from the Lord upon the throne.

Isaiah's obedient response was the result of cleansed lips and a pure heart, and so with ears open to the Lord's voice, he was willing to do whatever the Lord asked.

Is sin hindering you from hearing God's Word and obeying it? "If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 Jn. 1:9).

Get your heart clean today.
                                                                       --Jim Paul

His ear hath heard the question, Who to the lost will go?
Send me, he cries, his sin purged lips with alter fire aglow;
I'll bear the living message, of free forgiving love
O let me win the wand'rers to the path that leads above. [/color]

YES!!!!!

Such wonderful news. Now we've another job to find, if I'm remembering right, so prayers are still in order.

I will leave at 6:30 a.m. tomorrow (hope I can grab a few winks of sleep) to drive to Atlanta. I'm to meet a new zone manager for my big client. So, I'd appreciate prayers for my safety, alertness, and ability to communicate well with this lady.

Then, Mark's birthday is on Saturday, so I'll stay with them, celebrate birthday, worship with them on Sunday, and return Sunday afternoon or evening.

Y'all have a good weekend. I love you all.

Ruth Ann
...his compassions fail not.  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

Janice

Hi everyone, Janice here.  It is 11:10 PM on Thursday night, so I won't say good morning yet!

Heather, I am so happy for you both.  Congratulations on those new jobs.  Isn't it wonderful to see God answer prayers when we need it most?

Mieka, you are so funny!  That photo is a riot!  You sure know how to get our attention.   ;D ;D

Joyce, glad to hear your report on your aunt.  I see you also get In Touch magazine from Dr. Stanley.  I love to read his work, and have a few of his books and tapes.

Karmat, have a safe trip, and enjoy your visit with Etta Sue.  That will be a highlight of your trip.  Where is your ulitmate destination?

Janet, thanks for your prayers.  I am sorry to learn that Beth is not doing well.  Getting disability benefits is so slow and frustrating.  I will pray that she can get help soon, that must be such a worry for all of you.  Would she qualify for SSI benefits?  I think they help with medical bills too, if she qualifies.

We had a humongous electrical storm last night, it lasted off and on from about midnight through the wee hours of morning.  What a noise outside!  I haven't heard thunder and lightning like that in a very long time.  We got 2 inches of rain out of it.  (In case you didn't know, that is a LOT of rain for these plains!)

I have drawn a blank, and can't remember other posts to make a reply to.
One thing,  Sonja, what a lovely photo of you today!  You look like a New York model, and I mean that in a nice way.

Good night, all.
~Janice
This is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.   Ps 118:24

Janice

Ruth Ann, you posted while I was composing.  Yes, I will pray for you and your trip.  Have a good weekend with your son, is it your son?  Is this the one who heard God "walking on the woof?"  I loved that story!  How sweet and innocent children are.
Take care, and come home safely.
~Janice
This is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.   Ps 118:24

Iain

Morning folks. It's prizegiving in the school today so I'm in a rush. The summer holidays start today for the kids so I suppose I'll be getting even less time on my PC than normal.

Heather - I'm delighted for you. Prayers answered.

Sonja - Brill portrait. I'm useless at them.

Judy - Some powerful and truthful thoughts last night. Home truths hit home sis. Thanks lass.

I am sorry that I do not reply or make a comment to you all, but be assured that I pray for all of you and that is far more important than my words.

I am still getting to know you and still getting to know my way around this wonderful site. Pat and the other Admins - you have done and are doing the Lord's work on this site, of that I have no doubt. Well done.

Iain

Here are a few thoughts for today :-

'Behold the Man!'

Three simple words but can anyone expound them fully? Here are just a few of my thoughts tonight.
This Man created all things by the Word of His Power. Look up to the stars. Who framed them? This Man did.

Does the make up of the human body ever amaze you? Does the fact that we can communicate to each other make you wonder? Do you ever think why we have to die?

Our first parent Adam sinned against God. God would have been just in putting an end to mankind there and then. He did not. He showed love and mercy.

Behold the Man. We echo the words of another. 'Sir we would see Jesus.' Nothing else can satisfy our longing souls. Even reading or hearing the word 'Jesus' should lift our souls.

God veiled in flesh. That same flesh was pierced for you and for me. Your sins and mine pierced the One who created us. The fullness of God dwelt in His body. Hanging on the tree dying, still He ruled the Universe.

This is my Beloved and I am His. The great I AM, the living one became the dead one! Can you grasp this truth? Behold the Man. Behold the dead man!

Let us move forward a little to the Resurrection morn. This same Jesus, who died on the cross at Calvary for your sins and mine, rose from the grave. He satisfied Divine justice through the death of deaths.

The penalty due to us for our sins was paid in full. There is no more sacrifice for sins. The penalty has been paid!

'The last place that I wanted to go to with my sins, was to the One whom I had sinned against.' These words were penned by R.M. McCheyne yet they could easily have been penned by any one of us. No need to fear or be cast down today. Our Saviour awaits with open arms. The work is finished and needy souls are won for eternity. Be sure that you are one of them.

Take God at His Word and trust Jesus with all your heart and soul and mind. What have you got to lose?

To whom else can we go? Thou alone hast the words of everlasting life. Behold the Man. Behold your sins forgiven. Behold a newness of life. Behold the Man.

Behold Jesus! He is altogether lovely and He is my Best Friend.

tenderheart

Good Morning all.

Woo what great teachings in here this morning.

Iain...behold the man....this is something to  really think upon and let the Lord hit it home....in my case anyway...thanks bro for sharing with us....
Heather.....thank the Lord that He is looking after you and your family...great answers to prayers on your behalf...

Pat.... thanks for your teachings  today....pray you have a great day and be careful driving.

love to all and God bless...Paulette.

Papa John

Judy Mc, I don't take notes.  I just write my post on the Word Processor as I read the posts and then copy and paste.

Mieka, you look more like a Monkey's Aunt than a Monkey's Uncle.

Heather, it sounds like things are going good for you.  We hope that things will continue to be on the bright side.

Good to see each one today.  I have to get ready to take Cornelia to have her hair done.  The doctor said she could start driving again this week but we believe it is best to wait another few days.

I hope you all have a good day.

Good morning everone.  Thanks for responding to my question yesterday.  I have a lot to chew on.  I love Tozer's works.

Heather, I'm so happy for you!  We've been praying for you.  God is indeed good.

Pat, no leads on a job yet.  I'm still praying about it, and applying at places.  But in the meantime I'm getting some more painting done around the house, and having some very serious, much-needed talks with my mom.  It's been very good.

I've also been very busy.  I'm going to have to call you Pat, I'm sorry I missed meeting with you the other day.  Things just got a little hectic around here, trying to get all the sanding and painting done.  I've got a wee bit more to do today, but hopefully I'll get a chance to get in touch with you.  How did your drive to Hamilton go?  Jen.

Carol

Janet:  I am sorry to hear about Beth and pray for her recovery.

Heather:  Such fantastic news about your new job and new job for Jon too!

We had such a nice lunch with our oldest son yesterday and he was so busy but able to get out and meet with us.

Best to all, Carol

Marilyn

Good Morning. I have already been here and read through the posts. We are having a [arty at work today. Pizza!! One of the girls got married a few months ago and we are having her party today. It is also my last day of work here. Well I will be back later.

Heather, great news!  It is always encouraging to hear how God answers prayer.

Janice, prayers for you and your upcoming surgery continue.

Jen, God has a perfect job for you, and you will soon find it.  God bless you, you sound like such a wonderful daughter.  (and sister, and friend)

Beth is coming over so I can help her write some necessary letters concerning her benefits, insurance, etc.  She had to have another MRI done yesterday, and I hope that reveals where the problem is.  Something must still be pressing on her spinal cord somewhere, or at least to the nerves to her legs and feet.  Most of the time she can't feel her feet at all.  Thanks for your prayers, God is able!

I didn't get all of my laps in at the pool today because the swim team was practicing in the indoor pool, they were cleaning the outdoor pool, and it was just too crowded in there.  It was like swimming in the ocean with big swells!  So I'm going to round out today's exercise by taking a walk in a few minutes.

Mieka is a monkey.......Mieka is a monkey!!!   ;) ;D ;D  We can play like we are grade school kids again, isn't it fun??  As long as we know we love each other, and it's all in fun, and not being mean!  We love you, Mieka!

I must go get that walk in before it gets any hotter!  Talk to you later, folks!

Well the weather has broken.  The temperature is 20 degrees celsius whish is about 71 degrees F.  We didn't get the thunder that was forcasted, just rain.  My thoughts are "rain, rain, glorious rain."  We also know(with the praise reports)  that the blessings from above are raining down on us from our Father above.

Our God is an awesome God
He reigns in heaven above
With wisdom, power, and love
Our God is an awesome God.

That is an altime favourite of my daughter Kassie.  When she was 3 1/2  we were at a truck stop in Albequerque MN. we had stopped for a shower.  Kassie started singing in the shower room "Our God is an awesome God".  There was no shushing her and no way she would sing quieter.  EVERYONE in the shower room area, and driver room area knew where that little girl stood, all were grinning as we left our shower to eat.

Behold the Man, Behold the Lamb, Yes Iain a very timely reminder.

Pat we are waiting for more from Jack's archives.

I will be praying for Beth, we have seen so many answered prayers here, lets add this one to the lot.

Pat what about starting a site just for Praise Reports.  It would be very encouraging!

I am sure Heather was dancing the penticostal dance when she received the news of the job!

Meika, I really do prefir that last picture, this just doesn't do you justice!

Hey Mom,

You yeah I was dancing the pentecostal dance, and you know it!!  When I received the news, I couldn't sit down!  In fact Jon asked me if he could take me out for a celebration coffee, so we went, while out he circled our city, so that it would give me time to calm down!  Didn't work mind you, but at least he tried.

Great to see all of you online today.  Marilyn, if today is your last day of work, then when do you move up north?

Safe travels for those who are travelling. I will go back and re-read, and find out who you are, so that I can pray specifically for your trips.

Iain, I am sure today is one of those days that you look forward to all year.  I know I do.  The end of classes, and prize giving.

Take care everyone, I will be back later.

Love

It is finally warm here and I get to go goof around outside with out having to put on a sweater.  ;D

The hail damage to our van is estimated at $6,600.
That is spendy, but insurance will pay for it.

Zachery had a TB test done and I am sure he doesnt have it but it he had to be tested because of the Ramacate infussion he needs up here.  The last one was done in Denver.  He will probably get the infussion done next week.

Hope you all have a good day.

Mieka~Stop monkeying around, girl!   ;D

GOD SAID

If you never felt pain, then how would you know that I'm a Healer?

If you never went through difficulties, how would you know that I'm a
Deliverer?

If you never had a trial, how could you call yourself an overcomer?

If you never felt sadness, how would you know that I'm a Comforter?

If you never made a mistake, how would you know that I'm forgiving?

If you knew it all, how would you know that I will answer your questions?

If you never were in trouble, how would you know that I will come to
your rescue?

If you never were broken, then how would you know that I can make you whole?

If you never had a problem, how would you know that I can solve them?

If you never had any suffering, then how would you know what Jesus went
through?

If you never went through the fire, then how would you become pure?

If I gave you all things, how would you appreciate them?

If I never corrected you, how would you know that I love you?

If you had all power, then how would you learn to depend on me?

If your life was perfect, then what would you need Me for?

THANK YOU, GOD!

Many wonderful words for our devotionals today and many other things to think about.

Judyb, your posting yesterday about being happy today was very good and reminds me of something I heard many years ago but have never forgotten.  It is that we control how we let things affect us, whether to be happy or sad and how long we allow such things such as unhappiness  to last.  We can choose whether to let something someone says upset us or we can decide we don't want to be affected like that and not take slight at it or dwell on it.  I know this may be simplistic but I have used it for many years with great success.  I know there are medical conditions or situations where we do experience depression that may be beyond our ability to pull out of it.

Heather, that is wonderful news on the job front for both of you.  I hope you both will love your new jobs. :D :D

Mieka, I don't believe your new photo does much for you! ;D

Ruth Ann, hope you have a good business trip and a great weekend with your family and then a good trip home.

Janet, so sorry to read that Beth isn't doing well.  I should think that with her condition she should be able to obtain disability without difficulty.  I will keep her in my prayers.  Don't envy her having to fill out all of the papers involved as that isn't fun.

Marilyn, hope you enjoyed your last day of work at the library and now you can concentrate on getting everything ready for your move.  I see by your posting that your son is coming to help you and that is wonderful.

Jen, I know it is hard to be patient when you are looking for a job but something will come along for you.  Just have faith that God will direct you to what he wants you to be doing now.

Janice, that sounded like a terrible storm and a lot of rain overnight.  Hope Earl is feeling better and that you are not worrying about your upcoming surgery.

Sonja, if you had that much damage to your van how about the roof of your house?  Hail does great damage to the roof.  My dad was an insurance agent for many years and had many hail claims in NW Missouri.

Etta Sue, I know you will have a great time with Karmat and her family.  These little get togethers are special.   8)

I know I have missed addressing several people and be assured it is not on purpose but like Iain I just don't try to address everyone each time and hopefully over a few days will have addressed each person posting.

I have to share a praise that I learned yesterday afternoon.  The nurse who gives me the EECP treatments has MS (Multiple Sclerosis) and has had for several years.  She is able to work at this job because she can sit during most of the hour treatment.  On Wednesday her doctor called her and told her that from the MRI's she had done earlier this month it showed that the liasons were healing.  He said this never happens.  I know from our discussions that she is a Christian and she gives all of the credit to God for the healing that is going on in her body.  She was really floating on air both yesterday and today.    :D :D

Pat

That is wonderful news, Larry about the nurse who administers your treatment.  We do have a wonderful God, don't we?  Even before we pray, He answers!

"Click for Waterloo Wellington, Ontario Forecast"

Jeanne Lee

You're so right, Pat. We do indeed have a wonderful God! :)

What good news from Heather that both she and Jon have new jobs.  Looks like things are starting to get better.

Our heat wave seems to be a thing of the past.  Much lower temperatures, strong breezes and a lot less humidity.

Tomorrow we're going to our "psuedo" granddaughter's high school graduation.  Some of you may recall Roger for whom I had asked prayers and who accepted the Lord just a couple of weeks before he died.  Then prayers were needed for his wife, Carmen, in grief.  Well, this is the 17 year old daughter whom we've watched grow into a lovely young lady over the last 13 years.

Time to get supper on the table - I'll be back later.

That's a cute and cuddley little monkey, but you were - and are - better!

Meika - Its good to see your real self back.  Quit monkeying around now girl!

Janet., Oh I'm so sorry that Beth is having more trouble.  Does she have a lot of pain?  Boy, I can relate to that.  Is John still in the picture?

Heather - I'm happy for you and John., and hope these are jobs you will both like.

Etta Sue:  When do you see Karma and family?

Pat - Now wouldn't you just love to cuddle Iain's Dougie?  He looks a lot dfferent (in coloring) than Geordie dosen't he.

I just lost my post, so here goes again. We had a nice pizza party at work this afternoon and I was given a beautiful little sterling silver and green amber mouse pin. When I got home the landlords were here early this week end, they are building a shed for the big compressor they moved up here to run his car painting equipment. They have been real nice to me since I took a stand and told them about my tenant rights.

Pat: Smoke free today. You figure it out Ha Ha, want to get more time under my belt before I tell you how long.

Janet thanks for the "Faith to Faith" today, right on girlfriend..

Well I am off to check some of the other forums here.
