PAT thank you for the devotional this morning is your car readdy?

LARRY are you every morning at 6.00AM get up. What early i not mostly is it 9.00AM only when it is warm then am i early. My son is never eat  something
in the morning he takes a shower put on his clothes and go away. No own from us is eating in the morning.
But they say it is not good not to eat something in the morning but i must not think on it.

they are coming today.
On Tuesday are always coming all the new things.
I am loving that work.

Hi everyone.  I quickly read through the NEM messages from yesterday.  Pat, sorry the elections didn't turn out as you would have liked.

We had a wonderful day yesterday.  We went out on Pat's aunt and uncle's pontoon boat and a local lake.  We spent all day slowly cruising on the lake except for the time we anchored for lunch.  They had made a most delicious  picnic lunch.

I really slept well last evening after getting all that fresh air.  It was cool when we left in the morning but by the afternoon had turned out to be a perfect day, around 75 degrees.

Ria, I do get up around 5:30 to 6 am each morning.

Today we hope to get with our granddaughter and see our great grandchildren.  We plan to take them out to lunch if we can get the plans worked out today.

My time is limited on my connection so will make this short and try to check in here again tomorrow.

Hello Everyone!

It's nice to come in here with my cup of coffee and read your posts.  I don't think I'm even going to think about my car today.  I'm so tired.  I think I'm going to just do some things around the house and maybe just sit and read my Bible for awhile.

I'm really concerned though about your tests, Al.   I'll be praying more for you in the next few hours and hopefully, you'll get some good news soon.  You've been going through this for too long now.

I'm not going to reply to each one right now as I'm expecting my neighbour at any moment and just wanted to be able to post to let you all know that I'm here.

Greetings!

I had my half-mile swim in 78 degree water this morning. B-r-r-r-r!  Makes me wonder how cold they are going to allow the water to get before they turn those heater up again.

Darrel is at the doctor's now about that congestion and cough.  I hope he gets some help for it.

Beth and John went someplace yesterday, I forget where they said, and they might be going to Niagara Falls, as it is only about two hours from where John lives.  They are having a great time.

We have another cloudy and muggy day.  Good for that new sod grass! ;D ;D

Pat, I am so praying we aren't disappointed as you were with our coming elections.  I heard on TV this morning about how our service people feel our media is our worst enemy after Al Quida, because their reporting is SO biased.  Why can't they report all the GOOD our troops are doing, and how the Iraqis appreciate them.  Makes me want to hit somebody!

Larry, it sounds like you are really having a good time.  There is nothing nicer than being out on a boat in the lake when the weather is nice and you can be relaxed and enjoy these things of nature.

Al, a few weeks ago I had a lower-abdomen CT scan to see if there was any indication that my colon cancer had returned.  There was no evidence of that.  I hope they find out what your problem is and that they can do something about it.  I have prayed for you brother.

Pat, thanks for the devotional this morning.  I sure hope you find a solution to your car problem.  Saturn cars are manufactured  not far from us in a neighboring county.

Hi ALMA i love your photo it is very beautiful.I also say you are looking so happy and i think the weather was very good when this photo is taken.

LARRY that is for me to early to wake up.
But i am the most nights wake up. Last night i have been downstairs 1 1/2 hour i have been on the computer and a lot put away. What i never more use away.But my husband was so snoring this night i think it is also coming we are too busy but i shall be happy when it is septembre
that he can go to the hospital. I put things in my my ears
but it is helping me not.


We are in Holland (or we say the Netherlands) in the beginning of the evening it is 6,54PM.

These people who have to have truckloads of gadgets to get their
religion going, what will they do when they don't have anything
like that? The truck can't get where they're going.

I heard a man boast this afternoon on the radio to come to his
place because they were going to bring in equipment from
Pennsylvania and Ohio to serve the Lord with. What equipment do
you need to serve the Lord with, brother? Why, the dear old camp
meeting ladies used to say, "See, this is my harp with ten strings
and I praise the Lord!" And they'd clap their little old wrinkled
hands with shining faces. What claptrap do you need? Do you need a
bushel basket full of stuff to serve the Lord with?

Brother, if you have two knees and even if you're stiffened up
with arthritis so you can't get on your knees, you can look up in
your heart. For prayer isn't getting on your knees--prayer is the
elevation of the heart to God. That's all a man needs. You can
pray in a prison, you can pray in an airplane, you can pray in a
ship; you can pray anywhere and you can worship God, because it's
Himself that we want, Himself.  Success and the Christian, 30.

"Lord, show me Yourself this morning. I don't have any 'claptrap'
or equipment here; I just want to get on my knees and worship. I
meditate on Your works, my soul longs for You, here in the quiet
of my study. Amen."

URSULA yes HOLLAND must tomorrow play football against Portugal.
But if you could taken a look in Holland it is terrible
a lot streets are all orange flags. That is also the color from the Dutch football players or white.
Our street is not orange i am happy.
But i think Holland loose tomorow but i never take a look
i am hating football. :)


When Holland is loose tomorrow then they come home but i don't like the color orange haha

Etta -- The door was unlocked because my sister wasn't home from work, yet.  It is a very safe neighborhood; not as much as it used to be, but more than a lot of places.

Yes, we had a good time at storytime, then I went to my brother's house and Travis played with his cousins for almost three hours (if he was the one playing, why am I so tired???)

It's about time to start supper.

Bad news re the car I'm afraid.  So I'm not sure what I'm doing yet about that.  One mechanic says it's a cracked cylinder head so will be between $1500 and 2000.!   :o

Anyway, how are the rest of you?  It's a lovely sunny day here in Guelph.  It would be a great day to do some gardening...not to hot and not too cold.

Hi Everyone...I have had problems with my computer, hence the big absence.    My student downstairs fixed it.   I had to buy a new wireless internet device.  Then I had to install it.  Then I had to reconstruct everything.   But it is done.

Today I went to the specialist for eyes.  He said I had 2 things going on.   I have a rapidly growing cataract and I have some constriction behind my right eyes that was caused from thyroid problems back in 2000.   This specialist was not very friendly because I had gotten a second opinion and one of the doctors was a friend of his. 

One minute he said my pressure was okay, but he wrote on the report "glucoma suspect"  So I don't know what to believe.   I am now dealing with my family doctor.  He also said something like "And if you worry about it, it will probably get worse!"

I came away a little discouraged.  But God is Able.   Praise His Holy Name.

We had an election yesterday and the Liberals got in.  But only a minority government.   I was praying for the Conservatives.   There leader is Stephen Harper and I believe he is a Christian.  But the seats were close.  I think 138 for Liberals and 99 for Conservatives. 

I will read the posts and talk to you later.

Oh, Pat, I'm so sorry!   :'( :'(  But do get another opinion, as he could be mistaken.  (((hugs)))  By the way, I meant I would love to GIVE you this car, not loan it to you.

We just got home from Dodge City, where we went to bring Beth's car home.  It's now safely locked in her garage, so we don't have to worry about vandalism or hail.

I have been re-doing some framing.  I misunderstood what the customer wanted and framed two like items together, and she really wanted them framed separately.  We (Darrel and I, thank God for Darrel) managed to re-cut the molding and get two smaller frames from two bigger ones, and have enough left for a really small frame, too.  So it will work out okay.

What are all of you planning to do for America's Birthday??  The AOG church we have been attending is having a picnic that evening, then there are fireworks here in town.  Mark gets to help set off the fireworks at Hugoton and wants us to come down, so we will have to make a choice.

I'm tired, going to watch a little TV, then maybe go to bed and finish my book I'm reading.

Ria, our local high school's colors are black and orange.  I find very few people look good in orange!  Not one of my favorite colors to wear, but for some things it's okay.  (I just don't wear it!)

Decided to turn on the computer and catch up on things. 

The election was a disappointment.  Especially for many of us here in the Valley.  We now are represented by NDP and before had a fine Christian Conservative as the MP.  It will be interesting to follow the effects of this election...with a minority gov. things will become rather volatile in Parliament.

My granddaughter is away for a couple of days and Squeek is getting into more trouble.  Like sleeping on the beautiful piano bench upstairs when Wendy went out and I didn't know she was alone!!

The kids will be going to Edmonton for a week in the near future and I will have to water the huge garden and look after things.  Not the bunnies, as drew the line at caring for five of them, one pregnant.  So one of Amanda's Bunny pals will come to do most of it.  Grandma Webb is quite frail and no longer strong and Wendy wants to see her.  The mid ninties is pretty elderly and time is precious.  I am nervous about being alone....will face that when the time comes.

We are having hot and sunny weather here and I spent time outside reading today.  Not feeling terribly energetic at the moment.  Must get the rabbit hutch painted soon, tho'.

Here is a little joke:

There was a preacher who was an avid golfer.  Every chance he could get, he could be found on the golf course swinging away.  It was an obsession. 

One Sunday was a picture perfect day for golfing.  The sun was out, no clouds in the sky, and the temperature was just right.  The preacher was in a quandary as to what to do, and shortly the urge to play overcame him.

He called an assistant to tell him he was sick and could not do church, packed the car up and drove three hours to a golf course where no one would recognize him.  Happily, he began to play the course.

An angel up above was watching the preacher and was quite perturbed.  He went to God and said, "Look at the preacher.  He should be punished for what he is doing."
God nodded in agreement.

The preacher teed up on the 1st hole.  He swung at the ball, and it sailed effortlessly through the air and landed right in the cup three hundred and fifty yards away. A picture perfect hole-in-one.  He was amazed and excited.

The angel was a little shocked.  He turned to God and said,"Begging your pardon, but I thought you were going to punish him."

God smiled, "Think about it - who can he tell?"


Only a golfer can appreciate the sadness of that!

Ruth, regarding your eyes.  I also have cataracts that will soon need to be removed.  I see a Specialist every year and now use drops to reduce the pressure in my eyes. A vision test was also done to determine the extent of my problem.  Sounds as if you might need a 'third' opinion.  I never go to a regular doctor about my eyes.  It seems the high eye pressure is very important and must be reduced in order to prevent further deterioration.

Hi Liz, thank you for your advice about my eyes.   It has been a long hard time and still is not over. 

By the way, I have heard that joke about the Pastor who went golfing on Sunday.   I think I heard it from the pulpit.  Funny.
