Janet: Hello, Friends!  Let's get this going again!  I miss  hearing from all of you! 2025-01-23, 19:26:16

Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

How To Maintain Hope

    Lamentations 3:22-24 says...

    It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

    They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

    The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.

    [/list]

      Romans 5:1-5 says...

      Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

      By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

      And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

      And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

      And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

      Morning Devotional...

      Redeeming the time....
      Ephesians 5:16

      I was going away and meant to visit a friend, but responsibilities pressed and I decided to see him when I returned.

      If only, if only, if only I'd known that my last chance to see him was fading. Oh for one more moment to hear him laugh; to give him a tearful hug and tell him how much he meant to me.

      We will do many things for the last time this year and at the moment not realize that we'll never pass that way again. It's sobering to think of it.

      Let's purpose, then, to live this year carefully: to tell people often that we love and appreciate them; to anger slowly and forgive swiftly; to faithfully tell others of the Saviour; to labor with all our hearts for Him, to redeem the time and not ever have to say "if only."
      --S. McEachern

      Only one life,
      'twill soon be past;
      only what's done
      for Christ will last.

      Pat, those are my most favorite verses in Lamentations. I read them often and remember that this is absolutely true, His mercies are renewed afresh to us each morning. What a blessing to arise and wonder what His mercies will be providing on this one particular day!

      I love y'all.

      Ruth Ann
      ...his compassions fail not.  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

      Alma

      Greetings to all in Christ,

           Pat, You have once again put up a great lesson. Thank you.I hope you got some well deserved rest last night. I am praying about you and you car. I know how hard it is. Last summer my future son in law was using my car because they only had one car and lo and behold he totaled out my car. $13,000 in damages. So I donated it to the Jewish foundation, I now use one of the other cars but I did love my buick, she was so clean and ran so well.

          Pat, Thank you so much for putting my photos  up for me. I couldn't believe when I saw the photo of the day. It made me smile. I

           May God The Father, Keep you warm and safe.~
      ABOVE ALL PUT ON LOVE..

      Hi Ruth Ann...  Yes, those are wonderful verses indeed.

      Maybe it might be a good idea to sing about God's faithfulness to us.

      GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS
      (Click to here music)

      Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
      There is no shadow of turning with Thee.
      Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not;
      As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.

      Refrain:
      Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness!
      Morning by morning new mercies I see;
      All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
      Great is Thy Faithfulness, Lord unto me.

      Summer and winter and spring-time and harvest,
      Sun, moon and stars in their courses above
      join with all nature in manifold witness
      To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

      Refrain

      Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
      Thy own dear presence to cheer and to guide,
      Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
      Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

      Refrain

      Pat:  Ouch - that is a high price to pay for work on your car.

      Ria:  I get so tired of too many sports as well, but we hav three sons and one son-in-law and they are all interested in sports so it will always be a topic of interest.  Luckily, it doesn't take over every conversation.

      Just found an email from our niece and they are left Ft. Worth, Texas this morning with two vehicles.  Five adults - and one is going to be moving to Wyoming for school so they will be staying with us beginning tomorrow for about a week.  I started baking yesterday.

      I've made no decisions about my car.  I have the loan of Terena's car for this week so I don't have to hurry.

      Good Morning All!

      Nothing planned today except rest.

      Small groups was great last evening.  Only was missing one person.  We will start a new Bible study July 13...'Get a Grip'.  We wanted a 5-6 lesson Bible study because our church is doing '40 Days of Purpose' again, starting September 25.  I guess there are new sermons to go along with the 'Purpose Driven Life' book.  Then we will have Small Groups weekly for awhile.

      Pat: Great Devotional for me today.

      I am planning on spending the day catching up on the mending and then starting on one of my sewing projects in waiting and I think it will be making a nightgown for myself as I have the material in the house.

      Marilyn:  You are invited to my home for dinner on the 4th of July.

      Hey, gang!  Sorry we haven't been on much; our internet connection is terrible due to all the rain we've been having.

      Had to kill a snake on the front porch last night, too, just for fun things in life :(  Just a normal black rat snake, but he was awfully close to my little boy, and that was his mistake.

      Talk at you later!

      Pat, that is a beautiful song which we sing often also these words are in one of the contemporary songs we sing often at church.  The Lord's mercies are new every morning  just like these devotionals.  Thank you for reminding us.

      Nards, you can do away with any snake which comes around and it will not bother me.

      We have had a rainy morning here but looks like it may clear up this afternoon.

      Good to see each one today.  Welcome new comers.

      Just a quick check-in this afternoon.

      We have had a pretty quiet today after  a full day yesterday.  We did get to see our granddaughter and new great granddaughter and our great grandson.

      However, we only had about 5 minutes with our great grandson where we had met for lunch as he was tired and started crying at the top of his voice.  So his dad took him home.  Did have a nice visit with our granddaughter and got to hold our new great grandchild.  I hadn't been able to bring our camera so didn't get any pictures.

      Last evening we were invited out to our nephew's beautiful home.  He is a great cook and prepared us steaks that looked like small roast and a lot of other food.

      We will be headed to Denver early tomorrow afternoon.

      Janet

      Larry, sorry your time with your great grandchildren was too short, and that you didn't get photos.

      Your talking about steaks reminded me that last night, Abby called and said they were having K-State Steaks for supper.  I asked what in the world are K-State steaks?   And she said they had a little branding iron that brands the K-State Wildcat on the meat!   ;D  Oh, my........what next?

      Diane called today to give me Curtis' address at Ellsworth AFB, so I immediately sat down and wrote him a letter before our mail came.  He is doing well, working hard and has little free time.  I sure do miss him!

      I got to talk to Mieka a while ago!  What a joy that girl is.  She was working hard getting the food together for a July 4th party for over 300 people!  I wouldn't know where to start!  Guess that's why she's a chef and I'm not!

      Hi guys -  8)

      Not much going on here.  Tomorrow, for Canada Day, a group of people (myself and Ximena included) will climb Mt. Roberts (right next to Rossland).  It's just a walk-climb, walk up, and up, and up.  Nothing technical, just fun.

      It just started to rain again!  And the sky looks blue from where I'm sitting by the computer.  Weird.

      Bye guys !!!
