JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Happy Canada Day tomorrow!

Everything is ready for company except a crockpot of soup and a meatloaf tomorrow.  A last   note and we now see that everyone is staying an extra two days more here than first planned ---oh, well.  It is so seldom that they get here so we will make out alright.

Pat:  Our hills are green now with all of the afternoon showers.  I know it isn't Ireland but it looks nice.

Larry:  What a thrill for you to meet your great grandson.  And, it sounds like he will be a choir member from your report.  Safe trip to Denver.

Alma

Greetings to all,

Judy, I pray you will be feeling better.

This is a quick note to tell you I have had you all on my mind and in my prayers today.

I have gone this week with one hot water heater, I have gone laundry in cold water. Thank the Lord we have 2 water heaters one in the back part of the house so we can bathe and do dishes.

I found out today that Debby won't be coming back to live here. I think she has gone back to her alcoholic husband. We were so sure she had change but  as the word tells us " a dog will go back to his vomit. "

I will miss her but she only can live her life. Please keep her in your prayers.

My daughter is coming to spend the weekend with us. She wants to take my granddaughters to see my mom. My mom dosen't drive any longer so she will be pleased.

I have started in the back bedroom getting it ready to paint. I have a friend coming in from Oklahoma to spend 3 weeks  and would like to be through by then.

I keep trying to get the office done so I can put my studio in there. More room.

I better go feed my animals. I will be back in a while.~ALMA

Alma, I'm sorry about Debbie.  Is this your daughter?  This is sad.

Carol, I would love to see some photos of those green hills!

O The Bitter Shame and Sorrow
(Click to hear music)

"Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do."
Luke 23:34

Words: Theodore Monod, 1874.
Music: Charles J. Vincent, Jr.

O the bitter shame and sorrow,
That a time could ever be,
When I let the Savior's pity
Plead in vain, and proudly answered,
"All of self, and none of Thee!"

Yet He found me; I beheld Him
Bleeding on th'accursèd tree,
Heard Him pray, "Forgive them, Father!"
And my wistful heart said faintly,
"Some of self, and some of Thee!"

Day by day His tender mercy,
Healing, helping, full and free,
Sweet and strong, and ah! so patient,
Brought me lower, while I whispered,
"Less of self, and more of Thee!"

Higher than the highest heavens,
Deeper than the deepest sea,
Lord, Thy love at last hath conquered:
Grant me now my supplication,
"None of self, and all of Thee!"

Monod, a Parisian, wrote these words, in English, during a series of consecration meetings in Broadlands, England, in July 1874. At the close of the meetings, he gave them to Lord Mount-Temple, who had them printed on a program card for a series of similar meetings at Oxford in October 1874.
