Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

Papa John

It is good to go back and read the posts tonight.  We just got back from our Wednesday night Bible classes.

Sonja, I liked the poem by Ruth Bell Graham.  Thanks for sharing it with us.

Joan, we are jealous about your trip to Rome.  Cornelia and I and the kids spent some time in Rome many years ago, back in the 60's.  We stayed in Pisa and drove from there to Rome and one day drove down to see the ruins at Pompeii.  Then just a few years ago we spent a month in Nice, France, and we drove over to Venice.  But those travel over seas days are over now.

Iain, I appreciated your good thoughts this morning.

I hope you all have a good night's rest.

Okay, here goes.

I actually have three embarrassing moments, but one I cannot share in mixed company!  :-[  (hahahahahahha)

There is a longer one and a shorter one, so this post may be long.  sorry.

#1
In college, I had a crush on a grad assistant who was also my trumpet teacher.  One week, he asked me and my best friend Tamara if we could assist him in playing at church (we all went to church together).  Of course, I said yes because that would mean time over and beyond my regular 30 minute lesson.  (Okay, cut me some slack, I was 18).
The Sunday came, and we played a marvelous little trio for special music.  As we finished, and were going to our seats, the pastor said, "Let us pray."
About that time, I was going down the two little step that went from the part of the stage we were on to the  main level (you can see where this is going, can't you).
So, my foot does that neat little trick where the heel just barely misses the step, and you slide down the step.  Not really falling, but close.  I have a habit of wearing my shoes a touch big, and as I slid on my left foot, my right one flies off and beams a deacon's kid on the front pew.

:-[   I think, "Shew, at least everyone was bowing their heads to pray."  As we sit down, and the preacher says amen, Joey (him) leans over and with a totally serious look says, "Are you okay?" then starts laughing.  I could have died.  Then my shoe comes down the pew from the kid who I hit.

After church, I had I don't know how many people remark on my fabulous finish.  I just wanted to know why they didn't have their eyes closed in good ole Baptist fashion. :o

Again, in college.
I had a bad habit of leaving my keys in the dorm room door (say that 10 times fast) when I would unlock it to go in.  Obviously, it was fairly safe, so I wasn't worried about anyone coming in on me.
I also used to take my showers in the afternoon to avoid the "morning rush' and to have hot water.  (We had one bathroom with like 5 or 6 shower stalls for around 30 rooms, two girls each).
I go to the shower, bathe, return to my room dressed as many people would be (ie - towel), unlock my door and go in.  This particular lock had a quirk.  If you locked the door from the inside while the keys were in the outside, the lock jammed, and you could not get out.  Yes, I found this out the hard way because I just discovered I had left something in the bathroom and needed to return and get it.
So, I pick up the phone and call one of my best friends who lived on the other hall of the same floor, and asked her to come unlock my door.  At the time I didn't see the need to explain about my clotheless/towelful dress.  Mistake.
I hear the key turn, the door opens and I start to step out to get my keys and return to the bathroom only to discover that I am standing nose to chest with her boyfriend.  Thank you Stephanie.  :-[

Okay, lemme hear some others . . ..

Etta Sue

It was good to read everyone's posts.  Sounds like all of you are keeping busy at this time of year.

It has been a rather relaxing day.  I was having a time with my computer this morning and decided it was time for maintenance.  Whew!  No problems found but it took forever to run Scan Disk.  But it is running smooth now.

I am all packed.  Ivalou and I will be leaving around 9AM tomorrow morning.  I am really looking forward to this mini-vacation.

Good night all!  God Bless You!

We had another good bible study on words. The scripturs were Isaiah 54:17, Matt.28:18-20 and many others. in Psalms and Proverbs.
Haha Karma, in your towel no less. I can't share mine here in mixed company.

Well I am signing off for tonight. Gonna kick back and relax awhile before I go tobed.

Goog Night.

I suspect that is the case for many embarrassing moments.  :P

Last night, we had some storms and the cable connection was out for a little while and so I went to bed.  It seems fine this morning.

So, that's why things are late!  :-[

So, let's have a great day today.
