JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Morning Devotional...

Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price..Incline your ear, and come unto Me:  hear, and your soul shall live.
Isaiah 55:1, 3

A young lady I know, serves and witnesses to the homeless in our community.  She helps by providing them with food and getting them out of the cold. Her love for these people typifies the Lord's love for all who are spiritually hungry, homeless and cold.

By believing that Jesus' sacrificial death at Calvary is payment for your sin, God will open wide the gates of a new home in Heaven for you.

Trust Him today.
--Jerry Proctor

Oh, believe it, oh believe it;
Christ has died upon the tree,
That from sin you might be free,
Jesus died for you and me, oh believe it!

Well while I was piddling around trying to compose my entry, someone closed the door!

Well so far I's been a pretty good shift. Started out cloudy and 78, but the clouds broke at sunset, and there was a good show, unfortunately I'm at work and no camera :( I saw a red tailed hawk while driving around one of our off site buildings too.

This is still good, 'cause I'm still at work ^-^

Happy Sunday to all,

Today is our daughter's birthday.  We took her and her husband out for dinner Friday night and had a super time - no interruptions from the telephone or the darling children.

Pat:  Devotions today are so true - to remember others.  Thank you.  "Doggie Grandma" sounds comforting.

Well, we don't know how it's going to be, but this morning we're going to visit a church we used to be in a few years ago.  We still know several of the members, and we just thought it would be good to greet them in our Lord's Name.  Next week we'll be back where we belong and doing what we ought, but this week we're going to break loose.

It's good to deviate from our prescribed routine.  How else would we keep from becoming stagnant?  :D

God's Day!

Church was great.  Two superb sermons on the power of prayer.  Wonderful!  And it was announced today that September 10th will be a change for the times of some of our services.  If was still doing the duping, I would have to be there from 8 am to 1 pm.  But as it will be and not doing the duping, I can go for 8:30 a.m. service and then the 9:45 a.m. service and be home by 11:30 a.m.  I might even get to go out to eat with  Ivalou and her church friends.

Larry, Sorry about your GPS missing a number for you.  Is it a registration number?  That should be on the installing CD, shouldn't it?  My GPS is suppose to have all of the US and Canada already installed in it.  I can put in Favorites but I wish my Favorites showed up on the maps like Points of Interest.  Oh, well!

Tonight is the State Fair and to see if I see any of my photos on display!

Ruth Ann Bice

Hi, friends,

I took 3 days off from work this week and went to Indiana to be with my best friend, then on to a SeniorNet luncheon in Missouri. While very tired in body, my spirit has been refreshed.

Now, to go about the work the Lord has for me to do again.

Ruth Ann

Ett Sue doesn't your church have Adult Sunday school classes?

HAHAHA!  Hey Smokey, sorry for slamming the door in your face.  I really didn't mean to.  A red-tailed hawk is really something to see.  No photos?

AT CALVARY
(Click to hear music)

Author:  William R. Newell, 1868-1956
Musician:  Daniel B. Towner, 1850-1919

And when they were come to the place,
which is called Calvary, there they crucified him,
and the malefactors, one on the right hand,
and the other on the left.
Luke 23:33

Years I spent in vanity and pride,
Caring not my Lord was crucified,
Knowing not it was for me He died on Calvary.

Chorus:
Mercy there was great, and grace was free;
Pardon there was multiplied to me;
There my burdened soul found liberty at Calvary.

By God's Word at last my sin I learned;
Then I trembled at the law I'd spurned,
Till my guilty soul imploring turned to Calvary.

Chorus

Now I've given to Jesus everything,
Now I gladly own Him as my King,
Now my raptured soul can only sing of Calvary!

Chorus

Oh, the love that drew salvation's plan!
Oh, the grace that brought it down to man!
Oh, the mighty gulf that God did span at Calvary!

Chorus

then on to a SeniorNet luncheon in Missouri. While very tired in body, my spirit has been refreshed.

Did you meet Jackie Brown, Ruth?  She went I believe.

Sounds like a great time.  Hope we see some photos.

Al, I love to go and visit in another church I used to attend and meet old friends.  I hope you had a good day.

Carol, yes, he came up with the term "Doggie Grandma" all by himself to differentiate between me and his other "Airplane Grandma" who he visits often but has to fly to get there.  So cute.

Hi Etta Sue and Marilyn.  Glad you had a good day at church today.

Good Evening:

I have had an issue with my neck so hope that I can get to see my chiropractor on Tuesday.  We had a quiet day as our family are away on vacation.

At Calvary is another of my much enjoyed songs.

Pat:  When we go to Orangeville our destination is 2nd Ave. the Apts.

Ruth Ann:  Good to see you here.

Both Mel & Myself are grandpa & grandma as we are the only ones our very special  granddaughter has, (Sue's Daughter Jennifer)

Have a good nights rest

Well, Ruth, just a street away then from Ian.  Maybe down closer to the big stores?  He's just in the first block from the street the hospital is on.

Glad you liked that Carl.

Larry Hanna

Hi everyone.  After church, eating out and a nap I started working on my upcoming cousin's reunion in Denver at the end of September.  We now have 65 indicating they will be their for the big day on Saturday.  I called and spoke to a cousin whom I haven't seen since he was a tiny little boy visiting our farm when I was probably no older than 17.  There will be several cousins their that fit that category including some coming from California.  I am really getting excited.  We have settled on a meal that will be catered by Honey Baked Ham for a very reasonable $8 person and they provide all the plates, etc.  One of the cousins is providing the dessert and drinks so didn't have to include that in the catered price.

Ruth Ann, I saw a number of the photos from the Missouri reunion but didn't recognize you from your picture here on CP.  Guess I will have to revisit the pictures.  It sounds like you all had a great time.

Etta Sue, I searched everywhere in the packaging for the number.  I believe I may have been sold a product that had been sold before although the software hadn't been opened but perhaps the outer packaging had been removed that probably had the required maps unlock keys.

It is really late so will make this brief.

No photos.  :(  However not too far from there is the world headquarters of Domno's Pizza, and there is a working farm on the property. (Tom Monahan is into that kind of stuff.) Anyway I found that there's a whole field of sunflowers!!!!!  I can't wait to go back on my days off with a camera!
