Our God is Jehovah of hosts, who can summon  unexpected reinforcements at any moment to aid His people. Believe that He is there between you and your difficulty, and what baffles you will flee before Him, as clouds before the gale.

Morning Devotional...

Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things.
Matthew 25:23

George Boldt was a Christian, working faithfully at a small hotel. One evening an elderly couple sought a room, but none were available, so George gave them his own.

The next day, the man told Boldt, "You're the kind of man who should be managing the best hotel in the country."

Some time later Boldt received a letter with a train ticket to New York. To his amazement the old man, Walforf Astor, took George to the hotel he was to manage—the Waldorf-Astoria!

In the same way, God rewards those who are faithful in overseeing what they have, with the honour of managing more!
—Warren Henderson

Revelation 22:4
"And they shall see his face;
and his name shall be in their foreheads."

Face to face with Christ, my Savior,
Face to face — what will it be,
When with rapture I behold Him,
Jesus Christ Who died for me?

Refrain
Face to face I shall behold Him,
Far beyond the starry sky;
Face to face in all His glory,
I shall see Him by and by!
Only faintly now I see Him,
With the darkened veil between,
But a blessed day is coming,
When His glory shall be seen.

Refrain
Face to face I shall behold Him,
Far beyond the starry sky;
Face to face in all His glory,
I shall see Him by and by!
What rejoicing in His presence,
When are banished grief and pain;
When the crooked ways are straightened,
And the dark things shall be plain.

Refrain
Face to face I shall behold Him,
Far beyond the starry sky;
Face to face in all His glory,
I shall see Him by and by!
Face to face — oh, blissful moment!
Face to face — to see and know;
Face to face with my Redeemer,
Jesus Christ Who loves me so.

Refrain
Face to face I shall behold Him,
Far beyond the starry sky;
Face to face in all His glory,
I shall see Him by and by!

I hope that everyone has a wonderful Sunday.  I'm travelling tomorrow up to Inverhuron to be at my two granddaughters' baptism so I won't be around.

A Sure Hope: Eternal Life

Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness;  In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

Titus 1:1-2

Pat thank you for the devotional today.  That is a good example of how God rewards us.  How was the birthday party?  Let us know how today goes with the baptism.

John has to go to TN and is leaving today.  Ruth Ann he is heading to Spring City.  I have to work starting at 12, but will be able to stay for Praise and worship.

It is another beautiful day,  This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad ini it.  What ever today holds, good bad or indifferent, let us rejoice!

This is the day the Lord has made - we will rejoice and be glad in it.  Oh that I may be longing to see my Lord in the day in which He appears, and may He then burst upon my sight, and may all the glory be His forever and ever!  That's my prayer.

Our dearest friends (we count them family and extra grandkids) are leaving today to go to southern California for a week or two.  May our Father go with them and bless every moment to them, and may He keep them safe, for He is our only safety.  We drive safely because our Lord would have us to do so and to obey the law of the land, but, when all is said and done, we neither increase nor decrease our safety from harm in doing so.  He and He alone is our only safety.  The mother is leaving by car today, then the father is flying down toward the end of the week.  They'll go half way down to LA today, spend the night with friends in Manteca, CA, then drive the rest of the way tomorrow.  There's one son 13, one daughter 8, and set of twins 7 years old (boy and girl).  What a task to drive 375 or so miles today, then another approximately equal distance tomorrow!

Pray for Leslie, Matthew, Johanna, Sarah, and Sam today, then for Chris as he flies down Friday - then for the whole family as they drive back in another week or so.

Hi, friends,

It's a day with showers and storms here in Nashville. I don't have protection for my medical equipment yet, so may not be able to go to church this morning. A few moments ago, I was reviewing NEM, and the power went out for a short while.

Maybe my son can help me purchase a tarp or something later this afternoon.

It's been wonderful to read the postings from all - and, it's especially great to see our new members posting. God bless you real good.

Well, must go. Y'all have a wonderful day with the Lord.

Today was the Sunday I manned the lights and the duping machine.  At least, I now have some help in the duping.  And I even got to leave a little early from church.  That was nice.

I ate at a Mexican Restaurant and then spent my savings to fill my car up with gas.. ::)..prices went up this weekend because of the Brickyard 400 Race in Indy!!!!

Then to Wal-Mart for printer ink and some groceries.

It seemed everyone was wild in driving today.  I think I said a half a dozen prayers and gave God thanks for saving me from an accident at least that many times, too.  Thank you God!

Ali is crying and wants the faucet turned on for a drink.  She sounds so mournful....

I thought I posted the morning but I see that I didn't. Soooo good afternoon everyone who has been here and those to come later.

We had a very good service at church this morning, the associate pastor did the servcie becasue the Pastor is in Denver for General Conference. This morning we wrote down on a piece of paper those things that we needed to get rid of in our lives and at the end of the service we took those papers forward and lit them on fire and threw them in the garbage can. I got rid of  3-4 things that neeeded to go.

Good Sunday Afternoon!  I've been around but just now decided to stop in and make my presence known.  ;)

ETTA SUE~Your "duping" is a very important task, I guess you know that.  While I was in California, I visited Adventure Christian Church with Joy.  The pastor gave an interesting message on The DaVinci Code!  He explored this work of fiction in one hand...and God's Word in the other hand.  I tried to keep up with all the fascinating facts and scripture references, but it was nearly impossible.  So .... I went to the bookstore and ordered a copy of the message on CD.  I think it will be good to use with some small groups here.  I thought of you when I noticed that CDs and tapes would be available after the service.

My new neighbors, next door, have been busily working on their home.  They've replaced all the outside windows and part of the porch.  I noticed they had discarded the old boards and asked if I could salvage them for firewood.  He said okay so I dragged a bunch of boards home and added them to the pile of "pieces of wood too large for my stove."  A friend has said he'll come by one day with his saw and help me.  I tried using my little hand saw on some of the planks, but it's slow going and I got tired and red-faced.   :-[  I'm sure glad for friends with power tools!

I'm not doing much today ... just about the same ol',same ol' ... I'll be back d'rectly.

Good afternoon!  We have had a good day.  Jeff, Curtis and Mark came up for Sunday School and church, and also, my nephew and his family came to church, so that was seven people I had invited who came!  :)

The guys came out for lunch, then the boys rode our mopeds a while.   ;D  It is always great to have them around, I love them SO much!  Abby is still here until her Mom gets home, either late tomorrow or Tuesday.  Beth went to church with us, then I brought her over here for lunch.

We have a missionary couple coming tonight for the service, and afterwards, food----so I must go see if I can figure out something to fix to take.  That's something I am NOT good at!  I seem to go blank when trying to think of things I could take.

Darrel is still feeling terrible.  He has a cold, and also seems to have pulled some muscles in his back, so he is miserable.

I am not getting ANY email notifications from CP!!!   :'( :'(

I must go see what I can cook!  (Or put together............)   :-\

Hi everyone.

Janet sure sorry to see that Darrel isn't feeling well.  Those summer colds are bad enough without the back pain.  Hope tomorrow finds him feeling better.  Glad you were able to have time with your grandsons today.

Jane, with the cost of wood you were wise to acquire the siding.  I do hope someone helps you cut it up.

Marilyn, that is an interesting thing your pastor had you do today.

Etta Sue, the gas prices went up to $2.29 in our area yesterday.  That is the highest I have ever seen them.  You do a valuable service to your church through your tape/cd ministry work.

Ruth Ann, we had a rainy day here as well.  You certainly don't want to get your medical equipment wet and I hope you are able to get a tarp or other protection as am sure there will be times when you will need to go or get caught out when it decides to rain.

Al, I hope your friends will have a safe and enjoyable trip.

JudyB, it sounds like you had a busy day.  Sure hope John has a good trip to Tennessee.

Pat, thanks for the devotional today and the additional Bible verses.  Hope you have a great visit with your grandson.  Glad you were able to attend the baptisms today.

Just as we were getting up this morning the power went off.  So we got ready for church and went out to breakfast and then attended Sunday School and church.  The choir was back in the choir loft this morning and it was good to be singing again.  Most of our choir members were back today.  We had a fine sermon this morning as well.

I am home from evening service.  The missionaries to Sri Lanka had very interesting stories of their experiences to tell us, and we enjoyed listening to them visiting with Pastor and JoLynn at the supper afterward.  That is a very challenging country to be serving in.

Pat, I can hardly believe little David Hugh is three already!  How time flies!  And it is so nice you get some time with the older grandson, as well.  These grandkids give us more reason for living----or at least add so much joy to our lives.

Larry, thanks for your comments.  I hope, too, that Darrel will feel lots better by morning.  He is supposed to go get his teeth cleaned, but he won't go unless he feels considerably better.  And rescheduling is sometimes a challenge.

JudyB, I am glad to "hear" you feeling so much happier these days!  God bless!

Hi there, Nita!

Ruth Ann, are you talking about a tarp to cover your "scooter?"  Whatever you mean, I hope you can get one and be prepared for all kinds of weather.  I had planned to call you this afternoon, but was busy with company until nearly church time.  But I will call when I know you have another day at home.

Jane, glad you got more wood!

Etta Sue, I'm sure your church appreciates all the work you do in running lights and duplicating tapes.  That is your gift to the Lord, in serving His body.  Blessings to you!  :)

I need to get Abby to bed, and her grandma, too, pretty soon!
