Morning Devotional...So the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life.Judges 16:30
What a marvel that Samson's death was more productive than his life.
It is a reminder of our Lord Jesus. He also accomplished His greatest work in His death on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins.
Though they both spread their arms wide to die, there the similarity ends. While Samson's motive was revenge, our Lord's motivation was love.
Samson's death brought more death; the Lord's death brought life eternal.
--Warren HageyBehold His arms extended wide, on the cross!
Behold His bleeding hands and side, on the cross!
And now the mighty deed is done, on the cross!
The battle fought, the victory won, on the cross!

Go vote!
Love the devotion Pat.
Good morning, friends,
We have the promise of a nice day in Nashville (in the 50s) until late afternoon.
But! Possibly a light dusting of snow tomorrow. (brrrrr)
Y'all have a wonderful day.
Ruth Ann
Good Morning to one and all who will enter into this blessed place today, the Lord's day.
Thank you Pat for the devotional and to Chris for the devotional he will be posting later. HI Chris and Margit.
I am praying for you Ruth Ann Praise God that you are feeling a little bit better. Thank you God fot giving the Doctor wisdom and knowledge to increase or decrease medications.
I am going to have to have the alternator replaced in my new car, but can't get it done until next Saturday . The light on the dash is on and I am cancelling out of town trips this coming week, except for my Thursday client in Arcata, she is about 6 miles from me.

My Sunday is just beginning. Not able to attend church as a lingering cough & upset stomach - we had a difficult drive home and arrived last night. A quick trip to the store as we drove in and I already have the largest crockpot filled with fixings for chicken soup. It is good to be home - there were many crashes in the snow slick roads and we were turned back and ended up driving an extra 80 miles in blizzard. I don't know how a person can drive these days without calling on the Lord.
Wishing everyone a peaceful Sunday.
Marilyn: I just read that your landlord extended. How wonderful.
Carol
good morning had a late night last night, cant attend church, snowed in itstime to try out my camera and see if i can get some snow flake pictures. I hope you all have a wonderful sunday.
Marilyn, you are a Star lol :)

The Holy Spirit: Desire to Be Filled
And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled
with the Spirit.
--Ephesians 5:18
Again, before you can be filled with the Spirit you must desire to be
filled. Here I meet with a certain amount of puzzlement. Somebody
will say, "How is it that you say to us that we must desire to be
filled, because you know we desire to be. Haven't we talked to you
in person? Haven't we called you on the phone? Aren't we out here
tonight to hear the sermon on the Holy Spirit? Isn't this all a
comforting indication to you that we are desirous of being filled
with the Holy Spirit?"
Not necessarily, and I will explain why. For instance, are you sure
that you want to be possessed by a spirit other than your own? even
though that spirit be the pure Spirit of God? even though He be the
very gentle essence of the gentle Jesus? even though He be sane and
pure and free? even though He be wisdom personified, wisdom Himself,
even though He have a healing, precious ointment to distill? even
though He be loving as the heart of God? That Spirit, if He ever
possesses you, will be the Lord of your Life! How to Be Filled
With the Spirit, 42-43.
"Even so come, Holy Spirit! Amen."

Happy, happy Sunday to you all!
We had sunshine this morning when we left for church, but now there is some kind of moisture falling, and a cold wind is blowing. Good afternoon to snuggle in at home!
The Scout recognition meeting last night was really nice. I will unload my camera this afternoon and see what I got! The Koshare (Ko-shar-ee) Indian Dancers were there to entertain us, and they are great! This is a troop of Boy Scouts from LaJunta, Colorado, who do authentic Native American Indian dances, and have been doing so since 1932! They travel all over the country doing shows and learning new dances from various Indian Tribes. This Scout troop has produced over 500 Eagle Scouts during their existence, more than any other troop in the country! (Can you tell I am a BIG fan of Scouting?) ;D
Our church is still searching for a pastor, but the enthusiasm is great, with not a sign of discouragement! It has to be God! He is SO good!
I enjoyed the photo challenge, such different variations of the same picture, and all are good. Thanks for all your efforts!
Need to see about finding some lunch, talk to you later, maybe.
Hello!
Hope you all are having a wonderful day!
Those are all beautiful photos. Hope you all vote to keep the fun going. :-)
I am in the middle of uploading prints to order for a client.

It has been pouring rain for the last hours I mean really coming down. It started with the wind blowing while I was at church the front door kept blowing open, and I kept having to go close it since I am sitting just inside the sanctuary doors keeping an eye on everything.
Going back for prayer meeting at 5 pm.
Y-all have a blessed day now y-heah.

I have the photos unloaded and resized, but now it is time to head out to church, so I will post them another time.
Pat, are you all right today?
See you later!
Janet: I'll be praying that you will soon get a new Pastor.
Marilyn: My goodness....you folks have had so much rain. I have a cousin in Laguna Niguel., would you know where that is? She was telling me about the homes in her area that had the red stickers on them. - just awful.
Soni: Great that you are selling your pictures.
Karma: How about some photos of baby Kristi and Travis?
Matt: Good job!
Ruth Ann: Did you get to meet Etta Sue?
I didn't get to church today... my back is still too sore., BUT - the infection in my leg is some better.
- Just an addition that I mean't to post.
I see here that there are 6 GUESTS along with Matt and myself who are posting. PLEASE guests - come on in and register....you won't find a better place for Christian companionship!!
GWEN: I haven't seen you post for some time....if you are looking in....you are MISSED!!
Hi Janet... Yes, I'm here... Just quiet.
I'm watching Charles Stanley right now speaking about "Slothfulness". Glad that Judy told us he was speaking on that. I enjoy him.
Hi Soni.
Hi everyone. We are home safe and sound after a long hard drive today. It was raining when we left St. Petersburg at 7 am and rained hard all day. We drove on I-75 all day and the traffic was very heavy and thus the road spray was very thick. However, we had a safe trip so we are very thankful.
I have read through the messages here but rather quickly so won't try to comment on very many of them. I do want to say that I was sorry to read of your fall Judy and hope you will be feeling better soon. Also glad to read that Etta Sue had made it safely to Florida, just hope she took her umbrella as it was wet down that way.
I will try to get more on track tomorrow. I spoke with a good friend of mine a little while ago and he is to have a heart cath done in the morning. We plan to stop by the hospital to check on him as we go over to Atlanta for the appointment with the surgeon that Pat has in the morning.
Yes, Judy, it was great to meet her and her sister and friend, too. We ate at Cracker Barrel and really had a nice chat. Hopefully I'll be in town on Saturday and Sunday. They're not certain, but plan to be coming through again using a different interstate highway, so we've tentatively planned to meet at a wonderful oriental buffet restaurant. I know she and Ivalou enjoy oriental foods and that one is delicious.
I also know a way around the traffic tie up that happens during all this construction where she was concerned about.
They're supposed to phone when they know they're going to arrive.
I'm taking a couple of days of vacation Thursday and Friday (must use 4.5 more days leftover from last year before end of March or lose them!!!). So, I may be out of town myself on Saturday according to Atlanta weather and how I'm feeling.
All of y'all have a really good evening.
Ruth Ann
Time to lock the door, But - do go on in the new one.
