Morning Devotional...Behold the Lamb of God. John 1:29
Behold the Man!John 19:5
Behold your King!
John 19:14
Pilate, pagan governor that he was, was not to know that he was quoting Scripture, but in fact he quoted twice from the prophecy of Zechariah (6:12; 9:9).
Three years earlier John the Baptist had cried, "Behold the Lamb."
Zechariah, John, and Pilate together point us to the Saviour, a lovely Man who was slain as a Lamb but who is destined to reign as King.
Moral glory, mediatorial glory, and official glory, all belong to Him.
--Jim FlaniganIs this the Man,
can this be He,
the prophets have foretold,
Should with transgressors
numbered be,
and for my crimes be sold?

BEHOLD, BEHOLD THE LAMB OF GOD (http://christianphotographers.com/sounds/behold_the_lamb.mid)

By Joseph Hoskins
Behold, behold the Lamb of God,
On the cross, on the cross!
He sheds for you his precious blood
On the cross, on the cross!
O hear his all important cry,
"Eli, lama sabachthani;"
Draw near and see your Savior die
On the cross, on the cross!
Behold his arms extended wide
On the cross, on the cross!
Behold his bleeding hands and side
On the cross, on the cross!
The sun withhold his rays of light,
The heavens are clothed in shades of night,
While Jesus doth with devils fight
On the cross, on the cross!
Come, sinners, see him lifted up
On the cross, on the cross!
For you he drinks the bitter cup
On the cross, on the cross!
The rocks do rend, the mountains quake,
While Jesus doth atonement make,
While Jesus suffers for our sake
On the cross, on the cross!
And now the mighty deed is done
On the cross, on the cross!
The battle's fought, the victory's won
On the cross, on the cross!
To heaven he turns his dying eyes;
'Tis finished! now the Conqueror cries;
Then bows his sacred head and dies
On the cross, on the cross!
Where'er I go I'll tell the story
Of the cross, of the cross!
Of nothing else my soul shall glory
Save the cross, save the cross!
Yea, this my constant theme shall be
Through time and in eternity,
That Jesus tasted death for me
On the cross, on the cross!
Let every mourner rise and cling,
To the cross, to the cross!
Let every Christian come and sing,
Round the cross, round the cross!
There let the preacher take his stand,
And, with the Bible in his hand,
Declare the triumphs through the land,
Of the cross, of the cross!

WELCOME, MARLENE!!
Have a great time with Alma!
Papa John, I will be praying for Steve.
Marilyn, I have wondered about your smoking. Non-smoking, that is. Congratulations!!!
I didn't keep notes so I am sure I am missing someone.
Oh, yes! Sonja, enjoy your family. Soon you all will have to stay inside due to the cold weather. But we miss you, just the same.
The wedding was wonderful, the bride was beautiful, the groom handsome, the bridal party was striking and the little flower girls were precious. And I cried buckets. Weddings do that to me.

Good Morning: Thank you Pat for the devotional today. Jesus is my Lord and my King.
I pray that all who enter today will be blessed abundantly beyond their wildest dreams by the things they read and see on this wonderful Christian web site.
Today I will be picking up Gloria for church after morning prayer meeting. This I am doing on my own time. Last Sunday she really loved being at chruch. I Took her up for prayer at the end of the service, she is anxious to be back in church today.
I sent most of you an email yesterday with some photos of a fish, I hope you all got it and will pass it on. At first I didn't believe what saw but then I saw that it was check out with Snopes and it was true.
I also hope you have all seen the update on Gloria's foot in prayers. It is not good.
TTYL
Thanks Etta Sue! (hug)
I am off to get ready for church. It is going to be a scorcher (hot) today.
I think I will go take some rodeo photos. We have the national highschool rodeo here. The biggest rodeo in the world. Should be fun.
Have a good day!
Soni
Just popping in to catch up and say hello to everyone! ;D
I hope that Janet and Darryl have something very special planned for today on their anniversary!
Let's all go and crash their party! :o :o :o

No One Cared For Me Like Jesus (http://christianphotographers.com/sounds/nocfmlj.mid)
(Click to hear music)
I would love to tell you what I think of Jesus
Since I found in Him a friend so strong and true;
I would tell you how He changed my life completely -
He did something that no other friend could do.
chorus:
No one ever cared for me like Jesus;
There's no other friend so kind as He;
No one else could take the sin and darkness from me -
O how much He cared for me!
All my life was full of sin when Jesus found me;
All my heart was full of misery and woe;
Jesus placed His strong and loving arms around me,
And He led me in the way I ought to go.
Every day He comes to me with new assurance,
More and more I understand His words of love;
But I'll never know just why He came to save me,
Till some day I see His blessed face above.

Charles Weigle was an Itinerant evangelist. One day after preaching at a gospel crusade, he came home to find a note from his wife. She did not care for the life she led because of being an evangelist's wife and she was leaving him.
The next few years were a time of despair for Weigle. He even wondered if anyone really cared for him. After a time, his faith was again restored and he became active for the Lord again.
During this time he wanted to put to paper a song that would share the feelings he had experienced while during his despondent days.
From his heart came the words and the tune for the hymn, "No One Ever Cared For Me Like Jesus."

Awwww.... what a lovely photo, Soni.
Thanks Pat. That is the park I go to almost everyday and sometimes twice day to play disc golf. Isn't it beautiful?
It sure is beautiful, Soni. Lovely park.
Hi, friends,
There isn't time to catch up on missed messages, but it's great to be with y'all this afternoon.
I'll be home for good next Saturday.
Ruth Ann
Church was wonderful. The messages came straight from the Bible. Lunch was great. And now it is time to ZZZZzzzzz!
Hey! What's happening?
Jeanne Lee not much seems to be happening, not to many are posting!
I have had a wonderful weekend enjoying the sun and heat.
Have been outside and didn't log on here since friday.....When did the changes happen? Looks good mind you!
Blessings all
Wow...looks like we got a face lift. :-) I like it.
The website looks great and so much faster.... ;D
Hi everyone and Blessings
Hi everyone. I hardly recognized the CP site with its new look. Is this a permanent change, Pat?
Papa John, so sorry to read of the serious illness of your brother and will be praying for him that he is able to overcome this illness.
Ruth Ann, we will be happy to see you back home so we can enjoy your greater participation with us here. Our minister preached on Mary and Martha this morning (I saw elsewhere where you must have had the same text preached). I think this was one of the finest sermons I have ever heard as she stressed how we each need to be in the Word daily with continual Bible study and devotional time. She spoke of how when a person fasts for a long period that they lose their appetite and how the same thing happens to us when we don't delve into the Word on a daily and consistent basis. It was an awesome sermon and I just wrote her a note to express my appreciation to her for being our minister and to tell her how her sermon had impacted me this morning.
Happy Anniversary Janet and Darrell.
We went to a new place to eat after church today and it was very good. Then came home and took a nap.
Hope everyone has a wonderful remainder of the day.
Larry interesting analogy. Fasting with food and fasting from the word. Another way to fast is fasting from fellowship of believers. If we stay away from church for long enough we will lose our appetite for fellowship too.
Looks like many are enjoying the weather and going outside away from the computer. That is much better, enjoying what God has given us in nature.
Blessings all

Wow! What happened? Miss a day or two and the whole world changes....
I will post later, want to read things for the past couple of days. Read this poem today and thought it might be a blessing to someone out there...
Rocked in the Cradle of the Deep
Rocked in the cradle of the deep
I lay me down in peace to sleep;
Secure I rest upon the wave,
For thou, O Lord! hast power to save.
I know thou wilt not slight my call,
For Thou dost mark the sparrow's fall;
And calm and peaceful shall I sleep,
Rocked in the cradle of the deep.
When in the dead of night I lie
And gaze upon the trackless sky,
The star-bespangled heavenly scroll,
The boundless waters as they roll,—
I feel thy wondrous power to save
From perils of the stormy wave:
Rocked in the cradle of the deep,
I calmly rest and soundly sleep.
And such the trust that still were mine,
Though stormy winds swept o'er the brine,
Or though the tempest's fiery breath
Roused me from sleep to wreck and death.
In ocean cave, still safe with Thee
The germ of immortality!
And calm and peaceful shall I sleep,
Rocked in the cradle of the deep.
Emma Hart Willard (1787-1870)
Will be back later, things to do.
God Bless,
Liz
We had a wonderful period of worship this morning and an excellent lesson from our minister, Chris.
Thanks to all of you who have prayed for my brother, Steve. I talked with him this afternoon. He wasn't feeling as well today. He said they might send him home tomorrow but he really didn't feel like he should go home quite yet.
We are getting ready to go to our evening worship.

Oh, Liz! That's a wonderful poem. Thanks for sharing that with all of us. My goodness it was written a long time ago!
Still praying for Steve, Papa John!
:-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ Can you believe it? Both Darrel and I forgot it is our anniversary! :-[ :-[ :-[ So thanks for reminding me, Pat. The day isn't quite over, so we can still celebrate a little bit!
Thanks for the beautiful cards, Pat and Soni! Appreciate those!
I am really, really concerned about Beth. She has gone downhill dramatically in just the three weeks she was gone. She fell last night and called me because she couldn't get up. I told her we might have to make alternative plans for her housing very soon, and she agrees. She cannot get into and out of the bathtub to shower, and both of her bathrooms have tubs. So I guess if I need an excuse for forgetting our anniversary, this will have to suffice.
Our service was good today, he preached on the Great Tribulation. This afternoon at the Senior Center, a fellow who grew up here gave a slide presentation on Antarctia and another on Africa. He has traveled all over the world, and done photography for National Geographic and other magazines. He is affiliated with the University of Arizona, and is an expert on desert animals and bats. (None of them in today's show, though.) It was a very interesting program, and lasted 3 1/2 hours, instead of the two hours they said it would be. But I thoroughly enjoyed it. His photographs were astounding!
Abby was disappointed that she didn't get to go swimming today, nor have a picnic. I told her, maybe tomorrow..........
Ohhhhh, my goodness, Janet. That's not good news about our Beth. I'm so very sorry.
Don't forget to check on SeniorNet for Anniversary cards as well, sweetie. Have a good remainder of the day.
Janet, I am so sorry to hear about Beth. Please know that I am praying for her. (hug)
I also forget important dates like Birthdays and Anniversarys. Glad you come online and seen that it was a special day for you, Janet. :-)
HAPPY ANNIVERSERY
JANET AND DARRELL
I pray you will have many many more
Hi all! Just quickin' in to say hi!!
Have a great night.
Oh yea. To Ursula, Bunnie, Soni, Pat, and any I may have missed, thanks for the graphics help. I did decide to go with a solid color, as the picture I was taking just didn't look right with the one I created, but thanks anyway. It was neat seeing how many different ways it coudl be done.
Laters all.
If I don't get back on here, have a wonderful sunday.
Thanks, Marilyn, I hope we have many more, too.
I had about an hour and a half sleep last night, so it's early to bed for me tonight. Our fair is going on this week, and I need to see if I can enter my stuff early because we will be in Amarillo with Beth on Tuesday when it is supposed to be entered.
I took Abby to play at the park for an hour or so, so she is happier now. It is really a lovely evening out tonight.
See you all tomorrow.
Hi Everyone, Great new look for CP. I was away all day yesterday. I was picking black currants and raspberries in the hot sun. Then I watched my grandson play baseball. At the end of the evening I was very tired. Hope to post some more.
Love Ruthie
My goodness, Ruthie, where were you picking black currants? Are you going to make jam?
I've been picking my raspberries but there aren't as many this year for me.
Let's just praise the Lord together!

Hello to all of you! Sorry I haven't been around - life is literally one zoo after another for me right now, it seems. :-) I'm not gonna run some hokey line that I rejoice in all my struggles, because I've not reached that level of spiritual success. Just ask Karma. Lotsa days I'm a real pain in the neck! But I'm trying to not let things get to me, so I really appreciate your prayers for me/us as we try to deal with all the things that come our way.
You guys are a great encouragement to me; I wish I had more time to "hang out", but it's just not possible right now.
Luvyall!

Hi Pat, I was picking black currants at a place called Whittamore's Farm. Apparently it is a family farm started around 1790! There was 200 acres to the farm and most of that was picking all kinds of produce like red and black currants, gooseberries, strawberries and raspberries. Then there was peas and beans and other vegetables. You had to drive away back through the property to different gates.
I was picking black currants and Sydney my little granddaughter was in the raspberry patch picking them and bringing them to me in her little hand. She would say "Here Nana, I brought you some more" Her little sister Amber was there also. They both had on hats because the sun was so hot.
I enjoyed a real fruit popsicle later.
Love Ruthie
So, are you going to make blackcurrant jam?
methinks Pat is wanting jam.
Ohhhhhhh, I love blackcurrant jam.
I have a blackcurrant bush with about 56 currants on it! LOL It's from my grandmother's house and I guess it will take a few years to produce enough for a pot of jam!
Time to lock the door!
