Janet: Hello, Friends!  Let's get this going again!  I miss  hearing from all of you! 2025-01-23, 19:26:16

Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

ohenry, how right you are!  Temps didn't drop at all.  In fact, this is one of our warmest days,  I do believe.  We still have the breeze here that makes it nice.  Nita

ps:  my yard looks so nice. :)  I can't thank those young men enough.  I'll start with apple cake and wait for another idea.

I'm looking forward to spending next weekend in your neck of the woods, Nita.  We're staying at Bandon Loop RV village with a few from our church.  I'm looking forward to some dawn and dusk shots in the area...assuming I can get away to do photography on my own  :D
Walking by faith means you see God's hand even in the most difficult of circumstances.

Carl, I empathize with you, that's the way it has been here, but now it's cooler---at least for a time! ;)

I spent time on the phone this afternoon disputing a credit card bill.  It was mailed to the address we moved from over 9 years ago; was a card I didn't have, and already had nearly $50 in late charges added to it.  Seems it really is our bill, but Bank One has sold to Chase, but the card still has Bank One on it, and when the girl looked up the zip, she asked "Do you still live in North Carolina?"  I have never even BEEN to North Carolina!  (Though I would like to.)  Anyway, after conferring with Beth as to dates, checking my calendar, etc. I determined it is our bill, but asked to have the extra charges removed because we had not received a statement until today.  (The charges were from May 18, for the motel Darrel and I stayed in while Beth was hospitalized.)  They agreed to removed the charges, so we will send the check.  Confusing! :-\

We are off to a "Hoedown" tonight!  :)  Some friends from church who have a horse farm are hosting it, and the invitation promises good food, Western music (live) and I know we will enjoy Christian fellowship.  Should be a fun evening.

Etta Sue, glad you're home, and that the nephew (great?) team won and get to play again tomorrow.  I know you will enjoy watching him pitch.  That's a key position, for sure.

Marilyn, I'm off to see that photo now.

Later---I can't find our old photo area.  Has it been deleted?  Renamed?  What??  ???

We will look forward to those photos, Carl.

Well, I didn't know it was going to happen, but Marbeth is even home now!  She was doing pretty well, and the docs examination said she was ok, so they asked her if she wanted to stay an extra day in a regular hosp. room or if she wanted to go home.  We decided we needed to see if she could walk around first.  She did, and they and she decided she could come home.  She's not to do very much for a few days, though, so guess who's the homemakeer now!  So pray I'll do everything ok, as I'm not as good at it as she is.

Wow, so many posts to catch up on!  :D

Man, now i really want to go to a chic-a-fila place and just tell my waitress/er that their real owner is a Christian, Ha I wonder if they even know that. and aDairy Queen, there's in the city, about a half hour away.

so my long day, was really long haha. instead of going to see my aunt, i just stayed at the picnic. not that i didn't want to see my aunt but i knew people were just going to leave [since it had rained, well, poured off and on] and people came and went most of the time. so after the baptism, which was so fun, i think this round there was maybe 20 or so people who went "down under" as we joke about. [there's another "round" the end of august with another 20 or so, how amazing!] after that, there was some horseshoes played, and i played volleyball, in wet sand. i've learned it hurts when you dive on wet sand. but it was a lot of fun. around 6 people started clearing away and my dad and i stayed to help put the cotton and candy and the snowcone stuff in our truck and then one of the guys put all the garbage in his and we headed to the church. we had to have had maybe 15 bags, and the dumpster was already 3/4 of the way full, but we got it all to fit, by stomping on it, and crushing it, the lids are closed, praise Jesus! haha.

we came home after that, me thinking my day was finally complete and i could start packing for tomorrow. tomorrow is the first day of our kids crusades and it's about 3 hours south of here so i will be gone until thursday. but besides that, i'm throwing some crosswalk t-shirts around when i hear mom call, "candice, we need to pick beans!" i almost fell to the ground. a reminder, i had to get up at 7am, which is unheard of for me haha, plus work, and church picnic, now picking beans, ohhh man. but dad came out too and picking 5 rows, yes 5 rows of beans, didn't take to to long. we then checked out the rest of the garden realizing we are going to be having about 2,000 cucumbers [i'm not exaggerating, you can ask my mom, and God] and probably atleast 1,000 tomatoes. you'd think we lived on a farm.  it'd be one thing if we had no lives and were home and we could tend to the garden but when it's 9pm and you're picking beans because that's the only time you could do it, considering we leave tomorrow and tonight was the earliest that i've gotten home in 3 days-you just know that the Gordon's are a busy family.

sigh, i'm exhausted. i still have to get my camera stuff around and some cds and i should be mostly packed besides some clothes that are still in the wash. pray that the kids will just feel Gods presence as soon as they walk through the doors of wherever we are going to be at, and that we will be obedient to Him and speak only what is needed to be said.  As we are ministering, there is also another camp, which will actually be just up the road from us that Crosswalk normally does, but we aren't this year. But, kids from are church are still going down, along with my youth pastor, who as of the moment really doesn't want to go. I just pray that he sees that he's not doing this for himself, but for the blessings of the kids, and in turn gets blessed so much - in the midst of telling 5 boys to shower, daily.

hope everyone has a wonderful week, and i'll be back with great news sooner than you know it. on a sidenote: it feels like i've written a book.

with love,
candice

Pat

Candice, reading your posts for me is like a breath of fresh air my dear.  Just love them so don't you stop!

I've had a busy day today sorting and driving Kathleen around and tidying up my back garden a bit.

Now I'm here.

So nice to read all your messages.

It would be so nice, Carl, if you could meet our Nita.  She's a gem.  I've known Nita since about 1996 or 1997 on the internet and so wish I could meet her in person.
