Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Morning Devotional...

Job rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned.
Job 1:5

Job was concerned about his children, even though they were adults living in their own homes.

He rose up early to sanctify them, and intercede for them.

But there was a question in his mind. He wasn't certain that they had sinned, but just in case they had, he offered a burnt offering for each one.

In the case of God and the human race, there is no doubt.

God doesn't say, "It may be that they have sinned," but rather, "all have sinned."

And knowing our sins, He provided the perfect sacrifice in the Lord Jesus Christ.
--Carl Knott

The Father gives His only Son;
the Lord of glory dies,
For us, the guilty and undone,
a spotless sacrifice.

Yes Pat All,  Not some, not a few, ALL .  I wish people would realize that salvation is something that you can't earn. It is free for the taking.  I am talking to a young man, Jason, who is trying to be "Good Enough" for God's Gift.  I pray that he "Gets It"  soon.

Now about the 101.  Jane yes it is slow, but oh the beauty of the scenery, if you travel too fast you miss the splendor.  Predujiced....Yes I love the ocean.

I had a break tonight.  John was tired and asked if I would meet him at the car park in Powassan, I did and drove his truck the rest of the time for him.  Being behind the wheel is a challenge as it has been so long since I have had that opportunity.  On the way home we could see where a tree had come down over the hydro lines last night.  Home late, to another power outage.  The joys of country life!  I am shutting down incase there is more of a problem.

God Bless everyone and have a jpyous Lord's Day!

Hi everyone.  It is a beautiful sunny Sunday morning here in Georgia.  I slept in a bit this morning (didn't get up until 6:45 am) as knew I didn't have as much to do here in setting up the computer today as I have had the last couple of days.  I am hopeful our son will come over this afternoon since this is Father's day and he alluded to the fact he probably would.

Jane, Marilyn, and Al hope you all have a very nice visit today.  I will look forward to seeing the pictures.

Judyb, how many years did you drive a truck and have they become easier to drive than when you were driving?  Glad you were able to help John as it sounds like he must be exhausted.  Sure hope he has time to revive before having to hit the road again.

Pat, thanks for the fine devotional.  Sure glad you got your internet service back.  That can be so frustrating but these things happen and will continue to happen.  As complex as everything is isn't it a miracle that it works at all.

Ed, sounds like you had a trip down memory lane yesterday and that it was a pleasant one.  I know my wife has saved all the letters I wrote her while we were dating.  She lived in Independence, MO and when she wasn't attending college I wrote to her about everyday.  Sure I probably didn't say anything of value other than that I loved her and cared about here and I sure don't care to read them.  :)

Nita, my wife and I have been dealing with the Social Security issues to which you refer this year.  She also doesn't need the Part B supplemental medical as my health insurance covers her.  However, it can get very confusing.

Carol, I know that my Pat would love to help you with your quilt, although doing the binding is not her favorite things.  She likes sewing together the blocks and has made a large number of scrap top quilts that the church ladies have been meeting to tie.  They don't quilt them as such.  They donated several to the hurricane relief efforts and now are making them for gifts for the homeless that we house when they get back on their feet and into their own place.

Etta Sue, sounds like you about did yourself in with your yard work.  Hope you are feeling better today.  When we haven't used certain muscles for awhile they sure let us know when we do.

Hope everyone who stops by today has a wonderful day of worship and rest.  A special hi to each of you.

Marilyn

Good  Morning, "This is the day the Lord hath made and I will rejoice and be glad in it."

I am so looking forward to spending time with my friends today. I don't get that opportunity very often at least not as pleasant as today will bring.

I went to a new chiropractor on Friday, and I am so happy  that I went, he got bones to move that the other chiropractor had not been able to move in the two years I have been going to him. This new one is here in
McKinleyville and close to my house, I could walk if I had to. Maybe almost 1 mile away.

I will be back later.

Papa John

Good morning everyone.  I haven't been here in awhile.  Seems like I just don't get around to it as often as I would like.  Anyway it is good to see Pat, Marilyn, Judy B., and Larry.

Today is Father's Day but everyday is for our Father in heaven.  Cornelia and I will be going in a little while to our worship.  She is able to walk in with the walker.  She seems to be doing very well.  She just gets out of breath if she walks very far.

Hope you are all doing well today.

Matt 6:9-13
9   After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10   Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11   Give us this day our daily bread.
12   And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13   And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
(KJV)

Well, better late than never, or at least that's how the saying goes.  I got up early, but I was mostly reading and trying to catch up in here, so here I am finally posting.  Hope to see Jane and Marilyn around noon or a little after today.

I'm praying for our pastor here.  He's been hurting very badly.  He had an accident in his construction work a few years ago, and it seems that his spine got actually twisted.  It's been acting up a lot this past week - to the point that I'm not even sure he's going to make it to church, preach, etc.  So maybe one of us will have to take over.  Would appreciate y'alls prayer for us this morning.

Etta Sue

God Morning!!  Happy Father's Day!  I was sure thinking about my earthly Father on the way to church.  Then I was thinking how awesome my spiritual Father is!

Church was great.  Nice to be back to MY church.  I truly missed hearing the sermons from Pastors David and Danny.  I ate at Taco Bell and then went to the Walgreens...found some Sudoku puzzle books and a citronella candle for the woods next week.  I even got a Sudoku software for the pc.  Will install it later.

Cloudy and rainy today.  I know it is the Lord's day but I was hoping to mow the grass today but it doesn't look like I will.

Pat, I hope you put the new challenge in the list of forums or I might miss it   :'(  The suspense is getting me.   ???

Pat

HI all!  We've had a good father's day despite Travis having his chest junk again, and wasn't able to go to church either service. :(

We're still around and enjoying reading what each of you is up to.

Take care

I'm HOME!!  :)  In case you hadn't missed me, I have been away attending family reunion since Wednesday.  ;)

We had a good trip.  It is five hours from here to Hershey, Nebraska.  That's where my eldest sister lives and where we had our reunion.  We took Beth and John, and even though it was a challenge dealing with Beth's limitations, I'm so glad we could take them.  Every time something went wrong, she would ask, "Does this mean I won't get to come next year?"  She loves the reunions........so do I.

We always have our own church service on Sunday morning, and it was so good.  Curtis provided the music for our praise and worship, Jeff led the singing, and my neice's husband gave a wonderful message on "Keep the Main Thing the Main Thing."

Even though quite a few of the family couldn't make it this year, we still had good attendance and a very enjoyable time visiting, playing games, watching the kids play dress up and have tea parties, and getting to know each other's grandkids.  We don't see some of them more than once every two years or so.

I got online one day up there, but they have VERY SLOW dial-up, and while I did read the posts up to that time, I coluldn't post.  (It wouldn't recognize me, again.) :( Oh, well..........

Carol, I got Tisie's message and answered her email.  Thanks for the heads-up!  Glad you had quiet time near the lake, that sounds so nice.

What a nice little mini-bash you three plus Marbeth had!  I look forward to the photos.

I am really feeling sleep deprived, so think I will sign off now.  I had over 500 emails to wade through.  :ticked:  And we stayed up really late (early morning, really) last night enjoying karaoke singing with the family.  :)  It was such fun.  I was surprised that Curtis sang several songs, and he and Toni sang one together.  Abby even got up and sang three times!  (two of our grands and Toni will become a grand when she and Curtis marry next Saturday!) That's the stuff memories are made of.  (Not proper grammar, I know, but too tired to care just now!  ^-^)

See you tomorrow!
