As you all know, we have upgraded our software from Yabb SE to Simple Machines and there are many features we are not used to seeing.
Please be patient. I'll get our logo up top and hopefully we'll start to look the same as we were. Actually, I'm so happy that we had a choice of colours that were nearly the same as we had. There are just a few finetuning items that we must do and I'll work on that next week.
Again, we owe our deep gratitude to Michael aka Oldiesmann who offered to do this for me.

Morning Devotional...And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, He said, Father, into Thy hands I commend My spirit: and having said thus, He gave up the ghost. Luke 23:46
None of the Gospel writers uses the word "died" when recording our Lord's passing.
Here, and in Mark 15:37, the word used indicates He "breathed forth," while that of Matthew 27:50 and John 19:30 means He "sent forth" His spirit.
What a powerful confirmation of His earlier claim: "I lay down My life...no man taketh it from Me...I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again" (Jn. 10:17-18).
The Prince of life was in complete control!
--G. Hall'Twas all for us--our life we owe,
our hope, our crown of joy to Thee;
Thy sufferings in that hour of woe,
Thy victory, Lord, have made us free.
Pat, thank you for the devotions. I love reading them. I particularily enjoy reading the hymns, they speak so much more than regular words.
Good night!
Ursula
Oh, you're so welcome, Ursula.
Here's a lovely one--especially as we all ready ourselves for our various worship services...

Author: Fanny J. Crosby, 1820-1915
Musician: William H. Doane, 1832-1915
I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice,
And it told Thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith
And be closer drawn to Thee.
Refrain
Draw me nearer, nearer blessèd Lord,
To the cross where Thou hast died.
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer blessèd Lord,
To Thy precious, bleeding side.
Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,
By the power of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine.
Refrain
O the pure delight of a single hour
That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God
I commune as friend with friend!
Refrain
There are depths of love that I cannot know
Till I cross the narrow sea;
There are heights of joy that I may not reach
Till I rest in peace with Thee.

Good early morning to all of you! OUr internet was down for about 36 hours, so if you noticed I was missing, that's the reason. They said it wasn't our server, but upline from them. I couldn't sleep, so I decided to get up and see if it was back on, and here it is!!
Hi, Ria! Looks like we have the place all to ourselves just now! So lets sit and have a cup of coffee and a nice visit. I will really enjoy that!
Pat, I am so happy you have help getting things all switched over and going again. It looks nice!
Be back later!
Well., Ria and Janet... I'm joining you two gals. I've just poured a coffee., so now I'll just relax a bit, before getting ready for church. :D
Thank you, Oldiesmann and Pat, for the new CP!!!
Fast Eddie ~ When I did Disk Cleanup it only deleted my temporary files...not my cookies. Well, it deleted other things too but not cookies.
Soni ~ I noticed too that you have to highlight, then bold, then highlight again, then center...or whatever. We have to re-rain ourselves.
I am all ready for church but decided to stop in here before leaving. Will probably take a nap at Jerry's and then Ivalou and I are going to a Talent Show this evening when she finds out what church it is going to be in.?º°`°º?ø,¸¸,ø?º°`°º?ø?º°`°º?ø,¸¸,ø?º°`°º?ø?º°`°º?ø,¸¸,ø?º°`°º?ø?º°`

Good morning Pat, Ria, Janet, Etta Sue, and Judy Mc.
Another beautiful morning here. We have a little time before church this morning.
Fifty eight years ago I received Jesus and was baptized into Christ. God has been so good to me. We have communion every Lord's day and through all these years I have been able to have communion every Sunday but one. This one time was last year when I was in the unconscious in the hospital attached to the respirator.
1 Cor 11:23-25
23 For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread,
24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, "This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me."
25 In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me." (NIV)
I hope you all have a wonderful Lord's day today.

Hi everyone and I join with the others in saying a big thanks to Oldiesmann and Pat for all the work involved in switching over the software.
Papa John, like you all in Florida, we also have a beautiful and sunny Sunday morning. It will be about an hour before we head to Sunday School and Church and then I expect we will, as usual, go out to lunch with a group of friends from church.
I will try to get back later.
"To be submissive does not mean to be a slave, but to be free to receive saintly advice." Pio.
The Lord Bless you all.
Jenny
I won't stay long this morning but just wanted to make sure that you are all ok with the new software.
Good to see you Jenny... Thanks for the chat. I almost could taste our cup of tea together! LOL
Larry, thanks for the help you are too on the changeover changing URLs...
Everyone else, enjoy your services in your churches. Our God is such a wonderful God.
Talk to you all later.
Pat: I truly like the changes.
Ruth
Jenny It is SO GOOD TO SEE YOU
I finally got to sleep about the time I should have been getting up! :-\
I drove down to Hugoton last night to take photos of the kids all ready to go to Prom. They looked so snazzy! ;)
Today at church we are having a carry-in dinner, so I won't be back until mid-afternoon, probably.
Hey, Jenny, good to see you back! That is one way to recover our lost youth! ;) (You're a "newbie" again.) I hope you don't mind being teased, dear sister!
Gotta run, see you later!Papa John, I was praying for you in the night while I couldn't sleep, will share about that later! God bless!
Good Morning: I am ready for church, (having a bad hair day), and thought I would stop in and say hello and see if there are any donuts left. Did someone forget to bring the Krispy Kremes or am I too late????
My dinner came out ok, I cooked the turkey too long and the breast got dried out., but it still tastes good and my company ate plenty. We had Berry pie and ice cream for dessert. Lost of good fellowship.
Today both services are being done by the Northern California Masters Commision. It is going to be GOOD. But then I haven't been to any service that WASN'T good.
Hi Jenny glad you stopped in this morning.
TTYL
Lets just praise the Lord, Praise the Lord
Lets just lift our hands toward heaven and praise the Lord.
Words and music anyone?
Have a God day.
Judy
Thanks for the devotional Pat. Also thanks to all for the kind words. Yes, this has been a sad time. But here we are with a brand new site, a brand new Spring and another wonderful Sunday.
Faith came singing into my room,
And other guests took flight.
Grief, anxiety, fear and gloom,
Sped out into the night.
I wondered that such peace could be,
But Faith said gently, "Don't you see,
That they can never live with me!"
-Elizabeth Cheney
God Bless and have a wonderful day. Liz
Ohhhh, Liz... :-* :-* :-*
ETTA SUE
Internet Cookies: Maybe I didn't explain myself that well on the disc clean-up. My program will list the files that I want to eliminate that are taking up space on my hard drive......one of which is Internet cookies.
If you visit a number of Internet sites, you can accumulate 50,000 bytes of space on your hard drive in a day.....eliminating these temporary cookies and even stuff in your recyle bin....frees up space.
Comcast suggested to me that one of the Internet cookies could be contaminated, thus causing slow loading and even disconnecting.
After the initial running of my program I am shown a list of bytes that I may or may not want to get rid of. They are all checked..those that I do not wish to eliminate, I just "uncheck."
So after I went in and eliminated all those temp. cookies of the Internet (over 100K bytes) my problem ended....as least that particular problem.
I am by no means learn'ed at this stuff, I only know what I know and have learned through my problems.
Isn't it great that this wonderful site has been opened for us!
Pat, God is good - and Oldiesmann has served both our Master and CP well by being so helpful. Please tell him if this ole lady from Tennessee were near enough, he'd get a warm-hearted hug.
Hi, Jenny - I'm so glad you found your way back - we love you, Sis.
Y'all have a great day.
Ruth Ann
Hello all! Karmat is away at a Mary Kay convention of some sort, so I'll say hello for her too!
Big thanks to Oldiesmann for his help! It's often not as hard as it is time consuming, from my experience.
Gonna run for now; glad to see Jenny around.
Hope you all have a great Sunday!
Nard
Hi Pat, Glad to see everything is back to normal. The changes are "a good thing"
I'm on my way to Ajax to babysit my grandchildren so Dan & Julie can go out for dinner. These are 5 of the 14 grandchildren.
Spoke to Shawn and Kim in Niagara Falls, New York. They are at a hockey tournament with their 4 children. The boy's are winning all the games!
Spoke to Bonnie (my daughter) yesterday while I was in Aurora. The new school, New Beginnings Christian School will be opening on Monday after waiting for a brand new building. So exciting! Those 3 grandchildren are doing very well.
Kevin & Trish are the only ones I couldn't get ahold of. Wanted to talk to my darling Sydney & Amber, but will have to wait until tomorrow.
We worship a Good God!
Love Ruthie
TRAGIC END TO FIVE MONTHS OF SEARCHING
They've found little Cecilia's body today. :'( :'( :'(
Police discover remains of Cecilia Zhang (http://www.canada.com/toronto/news/story.html?id=082434f9-f139-4e5c-bcd3-f5be7a68c511)
We need to be praying for Celia's family .
Jenny: It was good to see you posting.
Karmat: Send some of the Mary Kay my way. I love the product.
Oldiesmann and Pat: Great job and a lot of hard work.
I should be sitting with my left leg up. I have been to the hospital to have it checked and the Doc. said that it was inflammation with an unknown cause, as I did not bend it, bang it etc. Time to rest, no work for me tomorrow.
Have a great evening
Ruth
Oh... I am just now reading your link, Pat, about the finding of little Cecilia Chang's body being found.
This is so tragic.... Imagine, snatching a little girl from the privacy of her bed. I will be praying for this precious mother and father.
Papa John: I remember well, when you were unconscious in the hospital last year. You were "saturated" with prayer!! Praise the Lord that you are able to fellowship with us!
Marilyn: I can't imagine you with "a bad hair day"...haha. I'd love to hear about your church service, Marilyn. Was it all you expected it to be?
Janet: I hope you feel rested now.
We went to church this morning. I am still not quite sure just where we should be worshipping. We miss our friends from our previous church....its too complicated to explain here as to the problem we are having. I only know, that we must make up our minds and soon. This is a target for the devil to attack if he suspects we are dissatisfied, isn't it. I am fearful of that.
Mom, I really hope and pray that your leg heals quickly.
It was so disheartening to hear that little Cecilia was found. So many were praying that she would be found alive.
I tried and tried to get here with my bookmark and ... nothing. Then Soni sent me a URL and here I am. Wonder why my bookmark stopped working. ??? No problem, though, I'll just create a new one. ;D
Love the changes and my thanks to Oldiesmann and Pat.
Sad news about Cecilia, but at least now her parents have an answer. They do need our prayers.
Jeanne, did you not get an email from me?
I sent one to every member registered on CP yesterday with the new URL.
OK, Pat. I just found it. Sorry about that - for some reason every time there's something with "CP Community" in the reply address and/or subject it gets marked "read" and goes into the trash without my even seeing it. I always check the junk and trash folders but must have missed that one tonight.
OK Jeanne... You had me wondering. ??? :o
I'm going to watch the news about Celia Zhang. It is so sad and disgusting that people are doing such horrible things to children.
Talk to you all tomorrow.
Love Ruthie
Here's a nice hymn to listen to as you navigate through CP and read the various messages. It's lovely to sing about Jesus, the Rose of Sharon....

Rose of Sharon (http://www.christianphotographers.com/sounds/roseofsharon.mid)
(Click to hear music)
Words and music by Alfred B. Smith and John Peterson
"I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys."
Solomon 2:1
There's a Beautiful Rose ever blooming,
In the Garden of God's Love for me;
It has filled all the world with it's fragrance,
It will last for eternity.
Chorus
Rose of Sharon now blooming I see,
Blessed Jesus, who died on the tree;
With my whole heart I sing "Hallelujah!"
Rose of Sharon, so precious to me.
Precious Savior, I'll always adore Thee,
For with Thee no one else can compare;
By Thy Love so divine, I'm enraptured,
Thou are fairer than all of the fair.
Chorus
Rose of Sharon now blooming I see,
Blessed Jesus, who died on the tree;
With my whole heart I sing "Hallelujah!"
Rose of Sharon, so precious to me.
Are you lost in your sins ~ tired of living?
Is your heart filled with bitterness, too?
Come to Jesus, the sweet Rose of Sharon,
He has the power to make you anew.
Chorus
Rose of Sharon now blooming I see,
Blessed Jesus, who died on the tree;
With my whole heart I sing "Hallelujah!"
Rose of Sharon, so precious to me.

I got this from a friend of mine in MSN....This is something that people on MSN Messenger are doing in an act of respect for the family of Cecilia Zhang.... I thought since we have folks on CP who also have MSN, I would pass it this way to everyone.
I have my X....Do you?
Yesterday Morning 9 year old Cecilia Zhang's body was found in Missasauga ravine. Please put a capital X at the beginning of your name to show your respect pass this on to everyone online. Dont pass it to anyone who already has the X
