Morning Devotional...Ye shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt. Genesis 45:13
Joseph was despised and rejected by his brothers. He suffered wrongfully in Potiphar's house and in prison. But now he had been exalted to Pharaoh's right hand.
He later met his brothers face to face and in love revealed himself to them. There is forgiveness, reconciliation and then a message, "Tell my father of all my glory."
We too have been forgiven and reconciled to God through the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus.
Today as you worship, don't forget to tell the Father of all His Son's wondrous glory.
--James ComteGlory to Thee, Thou Son of God most High,
all praise to Thee!
Glory to Thee, enthroned above the sky,
who died for me;
High on Thy throne, Thine ear Lord Jesus bend
As grateful hearts now to Thyself ascend.
Edward C. Quine
Hi Everyone: I'm first.
I was at an over 50 show at the International Centre. It was fun and most booths were very interesting. I will tell more tomorrow.
Have a wonderful Lord's Day and God Bless.
Love Ruthie
Wow Sonja...you look wonderful in that hair style. Very elegant.

I'm second! I usually am not up late enough to post at night when Pat opens the door for a new day. But I just got home from Abby's dance recital and am sort of waiting up for Darrel to get home. He and Jeff were supposed to land in Amarillo at 10:00 and it's about three hours or three and a half on home from there.
The recital was really nice---but too long! Three hours and forty-five minutes is a long time to sit! They have nearly doubled the number of dance students since last year, so I think maybe they need to think about dividing them into two groups for two different evenings for their recitals.
Yes, Larry, I hope to figure out again how to post photos. I'm still having problems. Now today, my email is messed up, it hangs up and stops before all the emails come in, then starts over again. I have gotten each of 17 four times apiece today, and the rest of the 26 won't load. Must be one with a problem hanging things up. :-\ >:(
Soni, I love your new photo, too! And yours is nice as well, Jane. I really like that one of you and Nita!
Etta Sue, hope you do get the rocks you need for free! Don't strain any muscles moving them, though.
Ria, I'll bet you wish you had kept some of the wooden shoes now, don't you? It seems when we have old stuff, we don't value it until it disappears, then we wish we had it back. I think hand written letters will become very dear now that we are using computers so much. I have some of my Dad's letters he wrote many years ago, and I treasure them.
See y'all tomorrow! (Later today for some of you!)
WELCOME TO THE FOUR NEW MEMBERS!!!

I am all ready for church. Rushing actually.
Tony, my son, called last evening and if the rain ceases by noon he is bringing his spray to spray my yard for the numerous dandelions. I think they multiplied 10 times this year. But everyone seems to have a lovely crop of dandelions around here.
I am praying that everyone has a great God's day!!!»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«,¸¸,»ïÏï«

Hi everyone and welcome to our 4 new members from yesterday.
Etta Sue, your mention of dandelions reminds me of how big and perfect those grew in Alaska. The season is short but there is a lot of sun during the summer. I have always wondered who determined a plant is a weed rather than a nonweed. Suppose it has something to do with the way they easily spread. You and Jerry please be careful with those rocks and don't hurt your backs.
Janet, an almost 4 hour recital is way beyond toleration for most folks. I would think it would have been too much for the kids in waiting their turns and then afterwards. Hope Darrell had a nice trip.
Rachelle, look forward to seeing a picture of your new flower bed.
Ria, sorry to read that you have hurt your other foot. Guess we are going to have to wrap you in cotton! :D
Ruthie, look forward to hearing more about the over 50 convention you attended.
Pat, do hope you are feeling better today.
Al, I see you and I have the same problem. Regardless of the picture we select it still looks just like us. Maybe we should try a wig! ;D
Sonja, that is really a nice picture. It has an old-fashioned appearance. Is that what your costume represents?
We will be going to church soon. Following church I have been invited to meet with the Deacons to discuss the church webpage and how it might be used to help them in their ministries to our congregation. They are even going to feed me lunch so won't be going out with our usual group of friends.
Hope all have a wonderful Sunday.
Judy, I'm awfully sorry that you're having these problems. How difficult to be needing that arm and unable to use it. I'll be praying for you.
Janet, I'm certain you're 'way smarter than I am, but was wondering if your temp folder may be full or if maybe the hard drive needs to be defragged.
Y'all have a good day.
Ruth Ann

Our studio has a twilight
shoe show and an evening show. The parents with the little ones go from 4:30-6:00 and the evening show is for the older kids. It runs from 7:00-10:30 with a 20 minute intermission. I guess I am so busy helping and dancing that it seems like it goes by really fast. I don't think I ever sat through a whole 3 hours of it.
How did she do? Did you get pictures?
Our recital isn't till June 4th and 5th.
Good Morning Pat thank you for posting the devotional this morning I have always loved the story of Joseph.
Judy Mc I am praying for you, I ams o sorry tohear about your broken arm.
Etta Sue, You and Jerry be very careful lifing those buckets of rocks, we don't want anything to happen to you.
Janet Did Darrell make it home safely last night?
Ria, Like Larry said we will have to wrap you in cotton for your own protection? I have to be very careful not to fall. Some times I trip over my own feet. I have banged up my right knee so many times it is a wonder Ihave not broken it.
Ruthie, please tell us about you Over 50's outing.
Janey I am praying fervently for the situation.
I got my first lessons in PSP this morning so I will have to stop at Kmart on the way home from church and pickup some printer paper. I don't like to shop on Sunday. Usually by the time church is out I am too hungry to do anything but come back home and eat.
Must get ready now.

Good morning fellow cp'ers. Hope you all have a wonderfully happy day today. I didn't have to do the papers today. Mike and the boys did it this morning and let me sleep in. Wooohooo...
Hi Rachelle! What fun! We don't have a theme park around here. We have to drive 5 hours to get to one. Did you all ride on some scarey rides?
I would love to ride on a roller coaster, but everytime I get near one I chicken out. :-\
Can't wait to see that picture.
I better get going.

You are doing good so far. It takes some time to understand all the little icons and stuff. If you keep posting things will get so much easier. I remember when I first started. I was pretty intimidated by the whole thing. Of course I hadn't been on the net very long so everything was pretty new to me. I kept getting on and just messing with stuff and figured it out. Don't be afraid of the buttons. They don't bite. hehehehee..
Glad to see you posting!

Thanks Soni, for helping Cares.
She has an awesome photo over at Photo-Sense that I can hardly wait to show the folks on Christian Photographers.

“Let us fix our eyes on Jesus.” Hebrews 12:2
Words & Music: Helen H. Lemmel, 1922
O soul, are you weary and troubled?
No light in the darkness you see?
There’s a light for a look at the Savior,
And life more abundant and free!
Refrain
Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.
Through death into life everlasting
He passed, and we follow Him there;
Over us sin no more hath dominion—
For more than conquerors we are!
Refrain
His Word shall not fail you—He promised;
Believe Him, and all will be well:
Then go to a world that is dying,
His perfect salvation to tell!
Refrain

I will answer a couple of questions first: Yes, Darrel made it safely home at 2:30 this morning. I was still awake wondering why he was so late, so we both slept in this morning and didn't go to church. Like Ria, I attended the "church of the TV" today. Their plane was an hour late taking off in Las Vegas, was the reason he was late.
Soni, Abby did great in the recital! Those little girls all dressed up in their ruffles and spangles are just TOO CUTE!! ;D ;D Their dance instructor is having a baby any day now, might be one reason she didn't want to schedule two recitals. She is also a grade school teacher, so I'm sure she has more than enough to think about!
Anyway, I heard several kids whining that they wanted to go home, and their parents agreeing with them! Whew! That was a long time to sit. But I'm sure that they will see the need for some changes next time. Abby was so tired she wanted to lay on my lap, but I knew she would fall asleep and miss the finale she was in, if she did. She made it just fine, but was really tired. I hope I got some good photos, haven't looked at them yet. I want a new camera!!
Darrel is up now, and I want him to tell me about his trip, so I will be back later.
Oh, Pat....I love that song. And things of the earth really do dim when we look on His wonderful face.
Cares, you photo is so touching.
I'm getting ready to head to church. Lots of things going on there, and we are coming to resolution time. I'm so very grateful and happy that Father God is never overcome with any situation, has never changed His original plan (bringing His children into the image of Christ)for us, and when we are HIS, change is only a new season in Christ. There is comfort in knowing that Jesus is our guide and wherever we go.....He has been before.
Turn your eyes upon Jesus. I will remember today. :)
Hi Janet. I didn't see you. Have a blessed day. k?
Hi Jane, Beverly. :)

In Christ there is no east or west,

Summer's over. :'( Well, at least for a little while - there's a "cold front" coming in, but "cold" is relative. :-\ Actually, we'll be in temperatures that are closer to normal for this time of year.
A lovely service this morning, with communion which I not only prepared yesterday afternoon but helped serve as well. And of course the cleanup afterwards was my responsibility, too. That's never something you have to do alone, though. At least one other deacon and/or a couple of the young people usually are ready to lend a hand drying and putting away the glasses as they're washed. Makes for a nice little extra fellowship time. :D
We've just had a new rear-projection setup installed and used it for the first time this morning. The pastor showed a short clip from a video and he and some others were so pleased with it that we're going to have an occasional movie night. It seems the whole project was paid for entirely out of the memorial fund. For such a small church we're really making technical progress!
Pat, I love the song "Turn your eyes upon Jesus." It is a beautiful song.
This morning we drove to my home town, Dickson, and went to church where I grew up. We enjoyed seeing many people that I hadn't seen in years. My brother from North Carolina was there and afterwards we went out to eat together.
Well, I was late getting here today but I have enjoyed reading everyone's posts. We are getting ready for our Bible reading which we do every night and we look forward to that few minutes. I read a chapter and she reads a chapter and sometimes we read three or four chapters depending on how long they are.
Rom 1:14-17
14 I am obligated both to Greeks and non-Greeks, both to the wise and the foolish.
15 That is why I am so eager to preach the gospel also to you who are at Rome.
16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.
17 For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith."

June, when Gene isn't able to get to church I tend to hurry home, too. But he's usually there with me and on my "duty" Sunday he sits in the Great Hall (what most other churches call Fellowship Hall) having coffee and conversation, which he enjoys greatly.
See you tomorrow, June! Sleep well.
Time for me to close down, too. Summer hours at work now start at 8:00 a.m. :o Not too bad, though. I only work until I finish what's there for me and then I'm through so I'll be getting home an hour earlier now. Anyway, good night all.

Hi Larry...the "Over 50 Conference" was very interesting. I was manning a booth for my work which is the "Ontario Breast Screening Program" I was talking to ladies as they came by about breast screening.
There were a lot of other booths that were geared for older people and also different people talking at seminars. They were handing out free samples.
Across from my booth a naturalpathic doctor was doing "live blood tests" for $50.00. I decided to have it done. They prick your finger and put your blood on a slide and put it under the microscope. I looked on the computer screen and a women told me that:
1. I have stress in my liver.
2. I have red blood crystals which if not looked after could lead to a heart attack.
3. I saw a parasite.
After that I thought, oh my goodness, I'm sorry I took the test, but he said I could detoxify my system to get rid of all this.
There was also another booth that was talking about "coral calcium" that you put in your water. They said it was the most amazing product.
All in all it turned out to be a fun day.
Love Ruthie
Hello all! Church was good. Our preacher was back preaching (see the prayer folder for that story), and is still a bit "out of it" but does remember his name, now, so that is an improvement. They should get test results back tomorrow.
Marilyn, Sometimes, I take a "music" or radio fast (Bernard mentioned this in one of his posts somewhere as well). Music is a very important to me, and it seems that I go nowhere without the car radio on, or have something playing in the house. Sometimes I just cut it all off. Or, you could cut your TV off, if that is something you do alot.
Or coffee
Or chocolate
If Bernard and I are "absent" some in the next few days, bear with us. Our internet connection is painfully slow, at best (I've nicknamed it molasses.net), and it can take two or three minutes for each page to load (if there are no pics). ugh.
Take care ya'll, and I hope you have a wonderful week!
Well it has been a lon day, I am home from the evening service. I m calling it a night.

Thank you Pat for that lovely song "Turn your eyes upon Jesus" Used to sing it solo lots.
Just heard tonight at church that one of the Visionaires, Asceptar Anibooki from Indonesia, had been murdered in his own country. He was in a singing group led by Dr. Chris Marantika and had sung at Peoples Church many times. Islamic radicals killed him and cut off his head. He has left behind a wife, little boy and new baby. Please pray for his family, that God will comfort them.
Time for bed. Good night and God Bless
