Hello Home from church just in time to watch Ice skating from China. Still on so won't stay here, trying not to spend so much time here and Ice skating is my thing I love to watch Ice SKating, watched The Ice Wars last night.

  This was great coming here and reading from My Utmost...today.  I hadn't read it this morning, so enjoyed it here.  Profound is a true word for God's wisdom.  I so appreciate that dear brother, graduated.  Thank you for posting it, Boots.  It almost comes to a place where you can look at what the world says is success, and as a child of God, look in the opposite direction for God's idea of success.  Down is up.  Lower is higher.  Less is much, to get you give it away, to be great, you serve.  I'm sure there are so many more examples.

Lord, thank you for continuing to teach your children to look for true riches and to be always willing to kneel low to find the best...on the bottom shelf.

  Pat, I loved the pictures of your family.  I haven't been in to look at them in awhile, but saw your link so had to go see.  I want to get back and look at the other new ones too.   In DPC, the Thanksgiving challenge, maybe you aren't supposed to, but I was so touched with being thankful for family members, that I gave a "10" to everyone who took pictures of loved ones.  I love a grateful heart.

Nita It was so good to hear from you.  I have intended to say something to you, but just never got around to doing it.

I still remember our posts many years ago on SN and at one time we were talking about me reading my Bible on the Screened in Porch.  Do you remember?

I've been out shopping with Gilbert at K-mart and the dollar stor. Oh we also went to Radio Shack and I bought a mike for my computer. Do you hear that Pat, Janet, Jane, Sonja,Etta Sue.?

We just got back home this evening around 6, after driving a total of 1,064 miles!!  But we had a really nice time with my foster brother and then my sister in Nebraska.  We got to see the Christmas Pageant in Minden, followed by the turning on of all the city Christmas lights.  It was beautiful!

It has taken me two hours to catch up here in NEM, so I think I will go look at a few photos now!  Glad to hear everyone had a nice Thanksgiving!

We had a good day today, I guess.  We visited another church this morning as Bernard had been asked to sing.  The people were really friendly, but, well, let's just say I'm glad God put me where he did.  Then, we went to our church for Christmas play practice.  I'm in charge of it, and all I can say at this point is if it happens, it has to be God in it.    'nuf said 'bout that.

I hope all of you have had a wonderful weekend.  December is almost here.  Where does the time go?

Pat, you mentioned Bible verses that meant a lot to us a few days ago.  I've been thinking and the one that keeps coming to mind is the one that talks about abundant living.  I believe it is something like "Jesus came so that we might have lift, and life more abundantly."  or something like that.  I would look it up, but the room is dark as TAS is asleep, adn if I go to look for it, I am afraid I will forget to post it (again.)

Anyway, I like the verse because after suffering from depression in my early 20's, I realized that God had more in store for me than "just" living.  He had an abundant life for me.  Not necessarily material abundance.  Okay, definitely not material abundance.  But each day can be full when I trust in and lean on Him..  I will have peace, joy, love, patience, kindness, etc. etc.  How much better can it get??

Thanks all of you for your special Birthday Greetings!  It means the world to me to have a Christian site to come to when I am feeling down, happy, jazzed, lonely, and confused.   Tears of joy!

I had the best birthday every.  First off you all made my morning by wishing me happy birthday and then I spent time with just my husband and I.  We then went to Another Baptist church and there were at least people from 6 different churches there.  We sang and listened to others talents.  It was awesome.  
God is so good.  He rocks!!!!

I am so happy to be one of His children!

I finally heard for the first time the song "calvary"  Not sure the whole name of it.  It was beautiful. Pat, do you have the song so I can hear it again?
