Behold the Man!

It is a remarkable instance of the sovereignty of God that a pagan Roman governor should be compelled to quote Scripture twice on that sad morning of the crucifixion.

Little did Pilate know, when he called their attention the lowly Man with the purple robe, and to the King with the thorn crown, that he was quoting from Zechariah 6:12 and 9:9.

How true that word of the psalmist, "Surely the wrath of man shall praise Thee" (Ps. 76:10).

Thank you Pat..... for that devotional.  It has reminded me about the cross and our wonderful Lord Jesus and what He went through to purchase our redemption so we could have eternal life.

Let us lift up our hearts to God and be thankful for His unspeakable gift at this Thanksgiving time!

Hello Sonja......   My 14th grandchild will be coming any day.   She/he was due a few days ago and will belong to my son Dan and daughter-in-law Julie.  It will be their 5th baby.

They were asking me about names of people in my family a generation ago.   Trying to decide on a name.   I am excited to find out about the darling baby and the name they have decided.   My children do not believe in finding out the sex of the baby beforehand.

When we all get together at Thanksgiving, Christmas or Easter, we try to take a group picture.  

Sometimes it is hard, but we try.

Truly this is a glorious morning.  I was up early and the sky was amazing....all the rainbow colours  seemed to be at work in the heavens. , stripes of blue, pink and red.............most unusual but a lovely sight.

"Red in the morning" so the shepherds say is a sign of bad weather, but the present weather is good, fine and sunny here in England.

I am still feeling "groggy" from this cold and throat thing..thanks Marilyn, dear sister.  We always share!

My Bible is beside me here on the table and I know it's time to leave for now and spend time in His presence.
I shall be praying for all your needs today dear Ones.

"The heavens declare the Glory of God: and the firmament showeth His handiwork.......There is no speech or languge where their voice is not heard". Psalm 19:1-3.

"His going forth is from the end of Heaven, and His circuit unto the ends of it : and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof" Psalm 19:6.

Good Morning,  I just registered and am looking around the site.  What a pleasant place to visit.  I found this site from a link on Sonja Foos profile on another site.  I think I will enjoy the photo challenges and the scripture photos.  I am trying to learn to take better photos so I can produce excellent quality Christian posters and greeting cards.

I found a dress!!!!  I found a used dress, so it was soooo much cheaper than a brand new one! And the little store where I found it will have it dry cleaned for me before I pick it up.  And I found a veil to go with it.  So now...I just need to find the location..the shoes..the dresses for the bridesmaids..the flower girl...the suit for the ring bearer...ok, ok, so I still have a lot to do.  But I was so afraid of the pricing on the dress, it really had me worried.

Anyway, I'm sorry, I'm just so excited about this.  But we had such a beautiful day yesterday, we went out for a country drive to see if we could find any nice locations for outdoor weddings.  We didn't find anything, but we climbed a big hill, and watched the scenery from the top, patchwork of farms and colourful trees.  And the Erin Fall Fair was in progress (Erin is the town where my dad grew up).  We also watched that from the top of the hill.

It was such a beautiful day.  It certainly wasn't hard to believe that a loving God was the only One who could create such beauty.  What was hard to believe is that people try to explain it away with other methods.  Anyway, I have to go get ready for church.  God bless you all.  Jen.

I think Homestead is messing up!!!  My computer is awfully slow this morning and I am in a hurry.

Boots ~ I have been to Big Sandy...where Annie's Attic is.  I crochet...my only crafty thing.

Judy M ~ Our church started the '40 Days of Purpose' last evening.  There were probably 800-1000 at our church watching the simulcast.  Then we chose a group to meet with each week and each Sunday the sermon will be on this topic.  And yes, we have Altar Call after each sermon AND communion every Sunday.  One thing Rick Warren said last evening that really hit.  THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS CHRISTIAN MUSIC!!!  It is the lyrics that are Christian.  God loves all music!  

Pat ~ I listened to 'Amazing Grace' by LeAnn Rimes while putting on my face this morning.  She really has a voice!  No music!  Just the words.  

Gotta go.  Our first Sunday of '40 Days of Purpose.'

We have rain here in North Bay.  It won't dampen our spirits though, we are leaving for church soon and Bonnie and Sean ar coming over for turkey and the trimmings this afternoon.

This is the day that the Lord has made, Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Is Canadian Thanksgiving Day the same as for U.S.A.? or is it to do with General Wolfe etc., I used to enjoy History but my memory is a bit vague lately.  I would be interested to know a little about it please folks. Also do French Canadians celebrate this also., again I am going back to Wolfe and Montcalme and the Heights of Abraham.....

I PRAY THAT THIS WILL BE A HAPPY THANKSGIVING FOR ALL CANADIANS...ESPECIALLY THE INNUIT  and INDIAN PEOPLES. .

Good Morning. Pat thank you for posting Amazing Grace, That is about the only song I can sing Acappella.(spelling) and still carry the tune .

Well I am ready for church, I have to be there at 8:30 for inteercessory prayer meeting. The Deacons and their wives are joining us and we will meet in the sanctuary. The Worship team is trying to raise money for a Big Screen and other equipment so they are selling breakfast in the fellowship hall during our prayer meeting and before sunday school starts. Lots of things going on at the church.

Karma I hope you have a wonderful birthday today with lots of hugs and kisses from your family.

Jenny I am gald you are feeling better, my cold has setteled in my chest so I am coughing a lot. But am better today.

I'm feeling a bit achy, like I'm trying to catch that cold. Hopefully, I can do a u-turn and run far enough away from it that it can't catch me.  

At any rate, I didn't think I needed to risk passing something along to folk at church, so stayed in today.

Hi Ria...  Some of those bicycles are zooming past the hospital where I took Jack every other day for his dialysis treatments!  And the uphills roads are right behind the hospital!  That's the kind of day we're having right here!
