JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

This is such good news - straight from Papa John's mouth - posted in the SeniorNet Tennessee discussion about 10 a.m. this morning:

Thank you all for your good thoughts regarding my surgeries and rather long hospitalisation. I'm still in the hospital but hopefully this week will move to a short term re-hab center. I love you all. Papa John

PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!
...his compassions fail not.  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

Maria

Thank you Ruth Ann for such good news about
Papa John. I am missing him but he is still in my prayers

Thanks for all the warm welcomes.  I will be reading and looking at all the wonderful things here.

Ria, I am so sorry about your loss.  I know that even after 5 years there are tears to cry about missing someone you loved.  I am glad you know  that you can run to the throne room to find grace to help in time of need.  He will wrap His arms around you and give you comfort!  Mary

This morning the Pastor talked about the storms we face in life and often times fail to remember that there is joy on the other side of the storm.

On my way home from church I put the drivers side window down on my car (electric windows), when I went to put it back up it only went up about 4 inches. Is this just a storm in my life? Perhaps it is.

Some how I have to get that window up and the weather is rather wet here between the fog and the rain and I can't drive my little old ladies around with the window down. I don't need to get sick either. So I am praying for the Lord's help to show me what to do about that window.

It may seem like some small thing to y -all , to me it ios a BIG thing. I can't afford to put the car in the shop, I need it every day.

Hello Everyone...

Yes, this was truly a lovely day in Guelph (as it was in Hamilton).

It's nice to see you all posting.  I hope that our birthday girl, Karma,  comes and sees her cards!  I've made a Banana Loaf and it's over on the counter for all to have!   ;)

It's lovely to see you posting, Wildflower Joy (or may I call you Mary?).

Ruth Ann, it's so good to get that news from Papa John.  Let's all continue to pray for our dear friend...

My heart is full this afternoon of love and gratitude for my Saviour and what He did on Calvary for me.  I can't find the music for this hymn but please read the words--carefully and slowly.  They are truly wonderful.  I just can't sing this hymn with dry eyes.  It's beyond my imagination to even begin to realize what Christ did for me on the Cross.

The Enormous Load of Human Guilt

The enormous load of human guilt
Was on my Saviour laid;
With woes as with a garment He
For sinners was arrayed.

And in the fearful pangs of death
He wept, He prayed for me;
Loved and embraced my guilty soul
When nailed to the tree.

O love amazing! love beyond
The reach of human tongue;
Love which shall be the subject of
An everlasting song.

Eternity, though infinite,
Is short enough to trace
The virtues of His healing wounds,
The wonders of His grace.

Ye men, rejoice in Jesu's blood,
Ye angels, join your lays;
In one harmonious endless choir
Sing His eternal praise.

Hi to all.  Welcome Wildflower and Happy Birthday to Karma.  Busy day here on the site.

I have been zipping around the kitchen getting Thanksgiving Dinner prepared.  The kids will be arriving shortly.  Having an adventure this year as cooking the turkey in a bag.  So far....so good.  I hope!

So computers really do cause a virus to spread.  Cold, colds, everywhere colds.  Hope everyone feels well agin soon.  Will get back later about the turkey....

Pat, if my granddaughter remembered to bring her digital camera, can we put the pictures straight onto the CP site or is there something complicated one should know.  Would like to send them straight to you by download .... ????   LOL, Liz.

Pat

Hi Liz...

I don't know what kind of camera she has.  If it's one with a CD, you might be able to just send them to me as an attachment in an email.  But you might need special software to download from the camera to your computer.

You give her my email address and tell her to send them to me when she gets home if this doesn't work.  We all want to share in your Thanksgiving Dinner!

For people to post their own photos, they have to have photo editing software that will resize the photo to 35K or under and 500 pixels wide or high.  Then you have to have a home page that you upload to and then post that way.

Until we get you all fixed up that way, just send them to me.  I don't mind at all.

Jeanne Lee is going to be showing everyone how to have a webpage soon so that people can post their own photos.

Well I just came back from down the rod here at one of the Deacon's house. He managed to get the window up to halfway, and the wind is blowing so much that I can't get a piece of plastic taped on by my self and Gilbert is not at home. I will have to stop at K-Mart after church and get a roll of the heavy plastic and tape and then wait for Gilbert to help me.
Maybe tomorrow the Deacon can get someone to help. He works for an auto dealership.

More later going to the photos now.

Marilyn, sorry to hear about your car window.  That has happened to us a couple of times, too.  It is a real pain, and the bad thing about electric windows.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KARMA!!

WELCOME WILDFLOWER JOY!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, CANADIANS!!

Pat, how are you celebrating Thanksgiving this year?

Church was different today.  We had a couple and their son who do concerts.  They play many different instruments, and write a lot of songs.  After church, we had a free hamburger/hotdog feed, with desserts for sale, to benefit the children's ministries.

Then they had a Hot Rod and Motorcycle show; games for the whole family, Rod and Bike Fun Run, then tonight the couple, Tom and Sherry Green were giving a concert.

We stayed for a while.  Abby won three races (against three boys!) on her old rusty and squeaky tricycle.....and here was Grams with her camera........with dead batteries!   :-[ :-\ :'( :'(

I wanted to take photos of some of those beautiful cycles and cars, etc......but not today! :(  Sorry.

It was wonderful to see Curtis (college grandson) and get some of his great hugs.  He promised to come up here tomorrow.  I have computer problems I need his help in fixing, and besides, I love spending time with him.

Mark had his Ranchero at the show at church, and their dad, Jeff, brought his Chevelle.  They said they weren't going on the Fun Run, though, they were going home to take a nap!

Talk to you all later!

Janet, Sounds like you had a fun day.  Sorry about your camera battery.  I hate it when that happens.

Troy and I are cooking some cornish hens.  mmm..mmm...they are smelling so good.

I will have to give you all the recipe if it turns out as good as it smells.

Karma.......

Happy Birthday and sing this song at a friends birthday........

Happy Birthday to you, only one will not do, take the gift of salvation, and then you'll have two. :)

Hey Judy.......My mother was born in Regina, does that include me? ;D

Sonja.....I just returned from a wonderful photographic trip.  Pictures like that don't just happen, it takes two very important ingredients; talent, and gift.  You possess both.  Awesome work.

Marilyn.....Are you suggesting I'm wearing a mask? ;D ;D

Lee: I like your Happy Birthday song. That's a keeper. I am so glad you are on CP now. You are a blessing in disguise. :o :-*

I have found Happydog on top of the fence and half way up the side just since I have come home from evening prayer meeting.

We didn't have a service tonight because the Pastor is teaching a 4 week class on Anger Management and Nov. 1 the youth will be taking over Sunday evening services. The worship team is working with the youth worship team and The youth leader is helping prepare the youth for preaching. This should be reallly good. I can't wait.

Gilbert came over with treats of Pork Roast for the dogs and then he put plastic over the car window, which will stay there until it gets fixed.Yessterday at the gas station a man stopped and ask me if I wanted to sell my car, he   is collecting VW Scirocco's.  He isn't going to get this one.

Marilyn..........

Open the car door. Place your hand flat against the window and push up while you press the up button.  This will raise the window.  If this doesn't work, ask a friend to push the window up with one hand on each side of the window while you press the up button.  This should do it.

Jeanne Lee

I guess those messages must go out to all the administrators, because I got one, too.

Lee, I'm glad to see that whatever your problem was, it's been solved.  That's excellent advice you gave Marilyn about her car window and something I'll try to keep in mind if my windows ever get stuck.

Thanks Jeanne...  Yes, Mary (Wildflower Joy) is aware of the problem and she's contacted her ISP.  We'll keep muddling along here till they get it fixed.

By the way, Mary, I love your screen name.  Sounds so nice.  I love wildflowers though all the time.

Earlier we sang together "The Bible Stands".  Well, this one we were trying to learn a month or so ago--at least some of us who didn't know it!  Let's try it again.

Oh, Wonderful Word!
(Click to hear music)

Words: Fanny Crosby, circa 1886.
Music: Ira D. Sankey

"The Word of the Lord endureth forever." 1 Peter 1:25

Oh, wonderful, wonderful Word of the Lord!
True wisdom its pages unfold;
And though we may read them a thousand times o'er,
They never, no never, grow old!
Each line hath a treasure, each promise a pearl,
That all if they will may secure;
And we know that when time and the world pass away,
God's Word shall forever endure.

Oh, wonderful, wonderful Word of the Lord!
The lamp that our Father above
So kindly has lighted to teach us the way
That leads to the arms of His love!
Its warnings, its counsels, are faithful and just;
Its judgments are perfect and pure;
And we know that when time and the world pass away,
God's Word shall forever endure.

Oh, wonderful, wonderful Word of the Lord!
Our only salvation is there;
It carries conviction down deep in the heart,
And shows us ourselves as we are.
It tells of a Savior, and points to the cross,
Where pardon we now may secure;
For we know that when time and the world pass away,
God's Word shall forever endure.

Oh, wonderful, wonderful Word of the Lord!
The hope of our friends in the past;
Its truth, where so firmly they anchored their trust,
Through ages eternal shall last.
Oh, wonderful, wonderful Word of the Lord!
Unchanging, abiding and sure;
For we know that when time and the world pass away,
God's Word shall forever endure.
