Morning Devotional...For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16
Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him. 1 Corinthians 16:2
Coming together to remember our Lord, we appreciate all He was willing to give for rebel sinners.
As His redeemed people, it is our responsibility to give from what He has bestowed upon us.
The little lad gave five loaves and two fish, then watched it multiply in the Lord's hands.
What are we giving today?
--Jim Paul
May we Thy bounties thus,
as stewards true, receive,
And gladly as Thou blessest us,
to Thee our firstfruits give.

Pat.........
HAHAHAHAHA.......YOU DID IT AGAIN ;D
I've got a double post in "Yesterday's tonight. Er, or is it this morning. No, no, no, not again. :)
Pat.........
I know of a lady who gave her all (A mite). She was a lot better person than I ever will be.
Hi Everyone..... Pat and I had a wonderful time on the hike. We walked down an old railway line. So many interesting things to look at and take pictures of. I might just buy some proper hiking gear and do this more often. No Lee, we didn't wear high heels only sensible walking shoes. :P
It was wonderful visiting Pat and later seeing Andrew and Terene's new house. Ian and baby David were there too. We had a great time revisiting old memories from the past.
Hope you all have a great Lord's Day as we lift up our wonderful Lord Jesus.
God bless,
Ruthie
Hey there, y'all! :D It's still Saturday night here on the left coast of Oregon! I am praying that all of y'all have a really restful and rejuvenating night's sleep and arise to a glorious Lord's day tomorrow!
I love all of you, and will (I promise) be back here soon to visit and have a cuppa with you as we worship and share with one another.
Take care, I will be back!!
P.S. Not a problem, SONJA ... I often visit your website and at DPC just to say aaahhhh and ooohhh ... love you! :-*

Good morning all!! Sorry I wasn't in yesterday until the very end, but we were gone all day. I got a couple of cool shots from the zoo. BUT, i was using a new telephoto, and many of them are just slightly blurry. :-\
Oh well, live and learn.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Lord's day!!
I am so glad that you both had a good time. I was talking to John about 1:00 amd he said that it was raining om Mississauga and I thought of you getting wet. Well It all contributed to the fun. We had no rain here in North Bay at all today.
Pat I printed out the words to that song Here I Am Lord, today, no yeaterday by that time you read this, Can you find and post the music for the others to sing it?
We are extending our turkey time, to include this weekend. Doug and Megan spent Thanksgiving with her parents and are having us over unmm tomorrow, or today by the time y'all read this. I had a very enjoyable day with Doug and Meg today and I am looking forward to tomorrow. I had Eli the baby sitting facing me on the table and grabbed a BIG bowl and balanced it on his head. H let out with a squeel that ended in a laugh. He is so precious. The girls have taught Brytan how to make sausages and chickens out of washcloths and small towels. Poor Megan has so few towels and cloths that when he gets creative there are no clean towels left Well dear he is having fun, he will grow up too soon, right folks?
Etta Sue you may be pinching a derve in your neck. You nay need to get some physio to help the neck area. I have the same thing with the same arm and the exercises they gave really do help.
Jane enjoy your day tomorrow. I am saddened for you with the funerals you are attending. But I am rejoicing for those who have gone ahead. Our Job now is to save as many people in their burning buildings as we cam,
Lee On one of our trips we should get together. ;D ;D ;D ;D The only thing I ask is for Hot tea in the winter.
Well y'all Im off ta bed
Night all
Judy
8.50a.m. ENGLAND
Goodmorning folks from a damp, foggy morning in Birmingham U.K.
JUDY. I like that "their burning buildings"...never heard it expressed that way before, but of course it it TRUE. Do you remember the old round song "Fire, fire, pour on water, pour on water"....Sure need a lot of His water everywhere today. Satan is alive and kicking and doing very nicely in a place near you! That "old deceiver is having his last fling"....LORD JESUS GIVE US AN ANOINTING TO WITNESS FOR YOU WITH ALL BOLDNESS. AMEN!
My fingers are so very stiff and painful again. Please forgive if I don't stay. Will try later.
I love you all.
The Lord Bless and give you a Wonderful day in His presence.
Jenny.
PAT
I just popped back into yesterday, heard about the "knees".....Hope they soon feel better.
Glad you had a blessed day with loved ones however.
One friend of mine even uses bags of frozen peas laid on his knees to ease the pain etc.,

Great Lord's Day even after a night that was restless. The sun is shining bright. Jerry and I are ready to leave in a few minutes for church. Ali has had her drink from the faucet and has food in her dish. It is a cool 42°F. It is to get in the 70's this afternoon. I plan to mow leaves ;) ;)
I am looking forward to hearing the sermon today that goes along with our '40 Days of Purpose' study. Praise the Lord that we were put here on earth for God's pleasure.

Hi Karen. Good to "see" you in here.
I was just looking at my zoo pics before getting ready for church. TAS is in his high chair pouring cheerios out. I really wish we could convince him that when he is finished, he needs to give us the bowl. I guess he just really wants to see it empty or sumtin. :-\ ;)
Guess I'll go, for now, though I think Nards has already cleaned most of it up!! ;D

It is almost time to get dressed for church. We should be so thankful we have this freedom to choose where, when, and if to go to church to worship the King of Kings! I pray we will always have this freedom!
Hi, Mieka! Good to see you so "chipper" today! I know you are so happy to have your family back home! Love you!

Good Morning to all who have been here and to all who will come in later. I am ready for church now and will be leaving in about 1/2 hour for Intercessory prayer meeting before Sunday School. I love to spend this time in prayer with others interceding for our churches, our nations, and all the other prayer requestsd that come in during the week.
I know that each of us will receive an message just for us directly from the Lord this morning. Thank God that He gives each Pastor and teacher these messages every Sunday. I pray that today many hearts will be open to recieve what the Lord has for them.

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

My daughter is 10, and my son is 7. (5th and 2nd graders). I work part-time in the Target (LifeTouch) Portrait Studio nearby. My husband is from Jamaica, and we have been married for 15 years now. He works a full-time job, and is also a musician. He had come home from playing for a wedding in Vermont at 4 AM today... I heard him come home and could not get back to sleep. So....that is when I wrote earlier today.
I finally fell asleep going onto 8 AM. The unfortunate side result of that is I slept through the kid's Sunday School. :-[ oops.
I hope they understand. I will write them a note for next week... this is my son's First Eucharist year, and they don't like the children to miss any.
We have a 4 year old cat, and a dog that will be 2 in Feb. We also are left with one more Anole Lizard :P. They don't seem to live for very long :( but my son enjoys them.
http://www.pbase.com/kpbryan/family (http://www.pbase.com/kpbryan/family) : Some of my family images.
I just did some portraits of my kids the other day.. Haven't posted them yet. I"ll let you know if I am happy with them.
tenderheart:
What ages are you homeschooling? My children go to the public school, but I like to supplement at home. I am currently doing extra work with my daughter with spelling. There doesn't seem to be alot of help for 5th graders with that. ???
I bought "Scrabble" (although it was my son that won last night! His best word was "Tempt"!), and I have the "I love Spelling" CD-Rom computer game.
Do you have any suggestions?
Hi there, Karen B. I'm late to welcome you, but I've been out of town a few days. I'm at DPC also, Silent Sister, and I'll have to look at your photos when I get back there. I'm glad you were invited to come here. You'll like it, I know.
We are back from Portland and Kim's surgery was successful. I'm pretty sure. She hasn't been able to open her eyes fully yet, but she sees only one of everything, no double vision! Hallelujah! Thanks for all your prayers.
I wanted to come in last night to let you know and catch up, but didn't make it till this morning. My, my.......a lot of partying going on while Pat was gone. :) Shame. Pat loves to party too. haha
I need help from the photographers and camera people. I've decided to go ahead and get a new camera. I'll get the Olympus fixed, if it's not too much, and give it to Kim. Here's my question: If you were going to get something under $1000, what would you get? I know that's a LOT, but taking pictures is all I do for entertainment, and I enjoy it so. I can take the money from savings without hurting me financially, so decided to get one that will do all I want and will be able to purchase different lenses as I can afford them. Whatd'ya think?
I won't be able to attend church this morning. I'm still babysitting Kim. I'm babysitting for my grandson later today so his mom can get a paper done for school. I feel I've been gone so long. I hope to get to church tonight.
Have a blessed day. I will too. love, nita

Here is some info on a dslr. Very nice camera from what I gather so far. It is pretty close to the Canon 10D. I guess you can say it is the little brother. Hope this helps.

WELCOME HOME, NITA!! You were missed, and we are so happy to hear that Kim's eye surgery was successful!
Hi Marilyn! If you have some extra praying time, I could use some prayer! :)
Jane, that little waving kitty is SO cute! Glad you found your graphics!
Well, I have a whining little girl here, so I'd better go take care of that. Whining is NOT allowed, and she almost never tries it. Maybe she is missing her folks.
Back later!
JUDY B
We posted this for you on page 4 on the 16th.
Wear your glasses lol :)

The music is underneath.
Nita -- the canon is a good suggestion. I could also heartily recommend the Sony 717. The biggest downside of the Sonys is that they are propietary (sp???) meaning a lot of the accessories need to be Sony. I think the people that have the Minolta Dimage 7Hi also like it a lot. DPReview can help you sort some things out.
Do you want a SLR, or just a normal digital camera?
Glad to see everyone coming in today. I hope it was a day of rest and relaxation for everyone.
I am working on a Christmas play, and I suppose I should get back at it.
Cheerios!!
Welcome KarenB. You have a couple of very nice looking children. We are happy to have you joining us and look forward to seeing your picture under your name.
Went to Sunday School and Church this morning but we came home and had lunch rather than go out to eat with our friends as I thought I had a meeting with the Homeowner's Assoc. to attend at 3 pm and felt I needed to rest before going. When I got up from my rest my wife informed me that the meeting had been postponed until Tuesday evening. I was actually glad as am not feeling very chipper today.
It is good to see so many posts and to know that your daughter did well Nita.
Going to be brief today as think I will rest again this afternoon.
Karen you have some great looking kids and your pets are precious.
We had a missionary speaker this morning for both Sunday school and for church. It was just wonderful. Her message was on "Do you really know who God is"
Well More later.
I see you
Papa John!
I'm so happy to see you online!

Abby is now taking a nap! I knew she was overtired, as she just never cries or whines when she is here, except if she gets too tired. So we lay down together and I read her last 5 of the 20 books she needed to list, to get her "book-it" certificate for a free pizza.
Darrel is watching football. I need to pack a few things, as I have to stay at my daughter's house with the kids from tonight until Tuesday night. I may just grap a couple of winks myself....... ::)
The pastor talked about "anger" and "temper" today. I think that could apply to each of us at times.
I'm going to look at Sonja's prints again. I love her work!
Well, here I am back. We have been home from the hospital since Tuesday after spending three weeks in the hospital. The two big problems were heart and colon. When they put two stints in correction some serious blockage they discovered something else which was wrong. That ended with an oncologist surgeon removing a large area of cancer from the colon. He was very optimistic that he got all of it so no radiation or chemo. But the next episode was a full fledge heart attack which for me was lucky I was already in the hospital. I was in critical care and on a ventilator for five days.
But God has been with me. I do appreciate all your prayers. It is so good to have so many Christian friends. Up to now I have been almost too tired to write. This morning I was able to go worship. Cornelia and Martha along with a good Christian brother helped me with the wheel chair. I I hope by this time next week I will be able to walk without any help. I love you all. Good to see so many new members. Welcome
--- Papa John ;D <:))))><<
I mean how can i make LARGE LETTERS LARGER THEN
THIS.
It 10.15 PM i close the computer i go read a book
And then we can go to bed.
Tomorrow at 6.30 AM we must wake up. I think then
the last people in Canada and America are going to bed
But i wish you all a very good night.
RIA
Great to see your post, Papa John! I can't tell you how it makes me feel. I just want to thank the Lord so much. We've all been praying so hard for you. The Lord has answered our prayers!
GOD, YOU'RE SO GOOD! HOW WE PRAISE YOU FOR BRINGING OUR DEAR FRIEND PAPA JOHN THROUGH THE VALLEY AND BACK TO US! And we ask your continuing blessings of healing and peace for him and his family. We bless and praise You for your goodness, grace and mercy!
(Ria, I've posted to you in your little practice area.)
OOOOOOooooooOOOOOOO
Karmat does the happy dance to see Papa John posting!!!
Papa John it is so nice to see you posting again. Please get lots of rest and don't rush the recuperation! Take all the time you need to get better.
Karen, what beautiful children you have. Welcome. :)
And now, back to some cross-stitch work.
JudyB.........
Yep, you've got a deal. MOst likely should you venture into north Idaho you'd go through Coeur d' Alene. A phone call ahead would give us time to drive down there (1-hr).
What I'm about to write is absolutely awesome. Like you folks, I've read in the Word and have a fair grasp of it, but much more to learn and discover. There is a major deference between "reading the Word", and Listening to what God is saying in His Word. Last night during my reading in preperation for todays sermon by our pastor on Revelation 14 I heard the Lord, and He spoke so loud it rocked me. Now you and I know we don't "hear" His actual voice, but if we listen to Him in our reading He will reveal much. I ask: "Go to the Word and read Revelation 14:1". I read it, and the study notes four times, and here's what it says VERY CLEARLY. "Then I looked (John's vision), and behold, a Lamb (The Lamb of God Jesus Christ) standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and fourty-four thousand........." We all know the 144,000 will be chosen DURING the Tribulation period. You and I are looking to the Rapture of His church, and the Tribulation saints will be looking to His Second Coming at the end of the Tribulation. Revelation 14:1 clearly tells us Jesus Christ will be standing on Mount Zion WITH the 144,000 before His Second Coming. I had to share this. We truly are blessed with His Word.
Welcome KarenB........
Karmat..........
You're writing a Christmas play? fantastic. When you are through ae you going to produce it at your church, or will it be put on the market, or both? Writing takes a lot of concentration and dedication, and when you put it down for a day or two it's very hard to get back into it. I know, I'm writing a book about our Lord.
(https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fusers.adelphia.net%2F%7Epairajeans%2Fkarenb.jpg&hash=d69a8a063ab31ae9137bc5be3595507979338f61)
We are having a sunny day here on the island. The break from rain is really appreciated as I was becoming very depressed.
Missed my bus to church this morning and ended up watching 'Hour of Power' on TV. There is always something to learn and the music is beautiful. I think we can learn something from any service that focuses on Jesus.
Welcome KarenB. You have a beautiful family and I am going back to re-visit your site. What a wonderful talent!
So great to see you and read your posts Papa John. I hope that you will continue to grow strong in health.
Loved your kitten Jane. Must try and spend more time learning about my computer. What is the practice site Pat and where can I find it...?
Removed my picture as it was taken during a game with the kids and seems rather much to look at each day. Will try for something more subdued in the future.
Enjoyed reading all the posts and hope there will be lots more before the day is done. Off to check the other things now....God Bless. Liz
We had a special treat at church this morning. Rachel Browning, the chalk artist gave a beautiful presentation. Have any of you seen her? This is the third time she's been with us. She starts out with a couple of puppets and then goes to the chalk board. She gives a narrative (this morning it was about the origin of "How Great Thou Art") and all the while she is talking she is drawing. It's fascinating to see how just a series of little dabs with the chalk progress into a beautiful finished picture. Then she changes the light that's shining on the picture from incandescent by several shades to finally black light which brings out a surprise picture.
I got quite a few pictures and as soon as I can get them ready I'll post them.
Papa John.........
Well dear sir, I'd say the Lord has much for you to do after your having survived your many medical trials. God bless you Papa John. As He has taught us....."Be bold in the Lord". Listen to your doctor and your wife.
Janet.......
Darrel is my kind of guy. I'm watching football now, will be tonight, and Monday as well. :)
Awwwwww.... Liz, I enjoyed seeing your photo! I thought it was a nice one.
Liz, the Practice area is at the bottom of the main page.
Here's a clickable to the area. Just feel free to open a topic and name is "Liz's Place" or whatever you want to name it and practice to your heart's content.

I just found this in my email and want to share it with you.
THE SHOES
My alarm went off it was Sunday again. I was sleepy and tired, my one day to sleep in. But the guilt I would feel the rest of the day would have been too much, So I'd go and I'd pray. I showered and shaved, I adjusted my tie, I got there and sat in a pew just in time.
Bowing my head in prayer as I closed my eyes, I saw the shoe of the man next to me touching my own. I sighed. With plenty of room on either side, I thought, "Why must our soles touch?" It bothered me, his shoe touching mine, But it didn't bother him much.
A prayer began: "Our Father" I thought, "This man with the shoes has no pride They're dusty, worn, and scratched Even worse, there are holes on the side!" "Thank You for blessings," the prayer went on. The shoe man said a quiet "Amen." I tried to focus on the prayer, but my thoughts were on his shoes again.
Aren't we supposed to look our best when walking through that door? "Well, this certainly isn't it," I thought, glancing toward the floor. Then the prayer was ended and the songs of praise began. The shoe man was certainly loud, sounding proud as he sang. His voice lifted the rafters, his hands were raised high, the Lord could surely hear the shoe man's voice from the sky.
It was time for the offering and what I threw in was steep. I watched as the shoe man reached into his pockets so deep. I saw what was pulled out, what the shoe man put in, Then I heard a soft "clink" as when silver hits tin.
The sermon really bored me to tears, and that's no lie It was the same for the shoe man, for tears fell from his eyes. At the end of the service, as is the custom here, we must greet new visitors and show them all good cheer. But I felt moved somehow and wanted to meet shoe man so after the closing prayer, I reached over and shook his hand.
He was old and his skin was dark, and his hair was truly a mess But I thanked him for coming, for being our guest. He said, "My names' Charlie, I'm glad to meet you, my friend." There were tears in his eyes but he had a large, wide grin. "Let me explain," he said wiping tears from his eyes. "I've been coming here for months, and you're the first to say 'Hi.'"
"I know that my appearance is not like all the rest, but I really do try to always look my best." "I always clean and polish my shoes before my very long walk but by the time I get here, they're dirty and dusty, like chalk."
My heart filled with pain and I swallowed to hide my tears as he continued to apologize for daring to sit so near. He said, "When I get here, I know I must look a sight. But I thought if I could touch you, then maybe our souls might unite." I was silent for a moment knowing whatever was said would pale in comparison. I spoke from my heart, not my head "Oh, you've touched me," I said, "And taught me, in part, that the best of any man is what is found in his heart."
The rest, I thought, this shoe man will never know, like just how thankful I really am that his dirty old shoe touched my soul...
You might be best friends one year,
pretty good friends the next year,
don't talk that often the next year,
don't want to talk at all the year after that.
So, I just wanted to say,
even if I never talk to you again in my life,
you are special to me and you have made a difference in my life.
I respect you, and truly cherish you.
I don't know how much time I will have or whether I can access CP from the kids' computers......if not, see y'all on Wednesday! If I can, then sooner!
Blessings to each of you!
Janet, send me an email from there.
I'll send you a link if you need one.
Have a great time.
:-[ Oh Ms Janet, I will miss you. I know it will be a fun time with your family. I hope you are safe. ::)
Ms Marylin, I Love this story of the shoe man you did share. I often have a wonder of how many wonderful hearts I do not ever get to know. Sadly, I am one who does not often try to talk with others if I do not know them. :-\
Ms Liz, I did like your picture too, it is a wonderful picture. ;D
Oh Papa John.... I am so happy to read your post!!
WELCOME BACK... you have been missed so much. Isn't God good?? Imagine if you had been home when you had your heart attack.... Oh I just don't like to think about that!
Karen B: Welcome from me too! - I looked at your web page., what adorable children you have. I look forward to seeing more of your posts., with perhaps your picture with it.
Jane: Love your kitty! You are so talented to be able to do that.
Etta Sue: I didn't know you were having neck and arm pain... I missed that somehow. I'm sorry... do you ever try ice packs? That works for me! Heat irritates it.
...well, back to watching the ball game.... The Florida Marlins are losing big time!!...sob, sob!!
Nah, it's only the 4th inning. Judy. Lots of time yet. ::)
haha... no... I'm afraid they've had it this time. Jeane!
Folks - I just had to look at Ruthie's son, Kevin's picture. Its too. funny! You all must take a look! He is far too good looking Ruthie..... the photo you have of him in Photography section is much nicer!
Good evening/mornign.
Lee, yes, I am writing the play. It will be produced at our church. It is a very small church, adn it is difficult to find anything that works well. At the last church it was the same way, so I just wrote the stuff. I have probably written 8 or 9. Some better than others. ;) I would like to publish them, but 1) I don't know exactly how to go about it and 2) I don't know if they are any good or not.
I, too, am making an attempt to write a book. Somedays are easier than others. My biggest problem is disciplining myself to set down and do it. I seem to be working on my monitor tan instead. this blue on CP and the gray on DPC does wonders for your complexion!
Ria -- Glad to see that someone else uses their computers for games. ;D More monitor tan.
I am whupped. I think I will call it a day (or night) here in a few minutes. Have a great new week, ya'll!!!!!!

Pat, it is a good thing you are a trustworthy person. Otherwise, you would be reading a lot of other peoples mail. :o ;D ;)
Good Night Everyone:
Sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite!
Love Ruthie ;)
Thanks Karma... I AM reading other people's mail and then realizing, "Hey, this isn't for me!" LOL
Re Bed Bugs...
Ruthie, If they bite, squeeze 'em tight, so they won't bite tomorrow night!
(Remember Granny saying that all the time to us when we were wee???)
