Night owls I have heard about, but our Pat is a night hawk!!!  Sounds dangerous!

Thanks for the tips on deleting those files.  I will do that!  So much to learn...........

Papa John glad to see you posting and I pray that you will continue to get strong.

Janet try to remember that with a computer you are always learning something new, and if you forget do not be afraid to ask the same question over again.  I to have e-mailed my daughter at work asking how to do something and refered to myself as a dummy and man oh man did I get told off for calling myself a dummy.

We were getting some rain earlier in the day and I think it is to continue through tomorrow as well.

Almost time for bed but before I go I must put some beans to soak for tomorrows chili.

Well, my copy of FrontPage came this afternoon and after spending three hours trying to put together one small page of mixed text and photos and only managing two one-line paragraphs I've given up.  The whole thing should have been done in 1/2 hour or less.  Of course part of the trouble is Windows XP, too.  I wonder if I'll ever figure out how and where things get saved.    Anyway, tomorrow's another day.  

Evening from the Oregon coast.  I got online to read some earlier, lost a post and got bumped offline, so maybe  the post WAS as boring as I thought.

 My company is still here.  Kim is getting better every day.  They went home over the weekend, but came back today as the workmen are still cutting and drilling and whatever else they do to make room for pipes, furnaces etc...  

 As Kim gets better, my care and concern is becoming care and concern and crowding. haha    I live alone too....but you wouldn't know it now.

  Jane, I thought of you today, and I know you want your mommy.    The MRI isn't scarey.....that's what dad said, and painless. Of course that doesn't stop the desire to have a family member with you.  

  Welcome Crafty Sue.  Your name sounds familiar. Karmat asked about DPC....and I'm wondering if we were in a PSP class together.  I guess you'll have to come as the mystery woman and make your grand entrance. haha

  Etta, I thought of you when we were trying to decide what to have for dinner tonight.  Chinese or Pizza.  Then I thought of Karmat and WW and ended up having one of Burger King's Chicken Baguettes, with their side salad, and bottled water, which my grandaughter quickly snatched.  I wasn't impressed with their new low fat sandwich.  

  I watched the news on the fire tonight.  So terrible. It showed one man who had lost his children to the fire while they were in a car.  The pain in his body made me ache for him.   So many to pray for.

  Gotta go and answer some emails.  Have a blessed night.  I have troubles sleeping too.......so I'm wanting all of us to get some good sleep......It's so refreshing when I do, and wake to find I actually got a good 5 hours all at once.

  I wonder what the difference is between a night owl, and a night hawk.  hmmmmmm  Well, whatever, we have at least one of each.  We need to check this out.

 Jeanne, I have a copy of Front Page too, but can't figure out how to use it.

I wish to thank you, Janet, Marilyn, Jen, Etta Sue, Ria, and Nancy ... (probably others, but I'm not too sharp right now   ) for your prayers ... I must say, though, Marilyn ... Your son and grandchildren are right next door to you.  My family is many miles away.  I'm not lonely I just feel alone sometimes when I don't hear from anyone for long periods and can only wonder what's happening in their lives.  Most of the time (like 99.9%) I love the solitude. It's just that there are times when I would like some contact.  

I just got back from picking up my prescription refill at the Pharmacy and discovered it is becoming quite difficult for me to drive after dark!      I don't know whether it's the developing cataracts or something else, but this would make it almost impossible for me to even take the trip to Spokane to see my daughter and family.    I don't know that I will be required to do that any time soon now, though, because she called Saturday night and we decided I didn't need to come <for a while>.  This is not a fun position to be in!

Hi NITA~I didn't see you come in ... I am not concerned about the MRI.  Just don't really like to go through all this stuff on my own.  Oh well ....

Jane, I will be praying for you tonight and tomorrow.

i am going to get off the computer for tonight.

I plan to add some illustrations in the future but simply don't have the time now.

Front Page is a nightmare.  Are you taking classes or something about using it?  I don't like it at all, but I really hope it works out good for you.  Good luck!

Pat...when I went there I found that I had allocated only 1MB of space for those files - so there shouldn't be many there I wouldn't think...would you?

A couple of comments and a question.

Jane Too bad one of us were not closer to go with you.  Not the same as family (Blood) but family all the same.  I will be praying for you.


The difference between a night hawk and a night owl I don't know . but Pat is one and I am the other.  HAHA right Pat?


Marilyn you are 3 hours difference from the east coast, and Ria is 6 hours from us (Jenny 5), so you are 9 hours difference.  Hope that helps.

Hi Jane...  I'll be thinking of you tomorrow.  Are you being taken to the test by a friend?  You aren't going alone are you?  I remember Jack having MRIs several times and he did say that the noise was what bothered him most.  Please let us know that you are alright when you can.  Wish I could get there to go with you.


Judy, Front Page is a web page editor.  It helps some people write and build web pages but it inserts literally hundreds of codes that are difficult to remove.

Both Jeanne and I build web pages from raw HTML.


Well, I had an appointment on Thursday to go to London to the Dental College but my student dentist phoned tonight and asked if I'd go tomorrow morning instead as his first baby is due on Friday and he's concerned if his wife goes into labour early so wants me tomorrow.

I'm not a morning person and I'll have to leave here at 7 am so I'm off to open a new New Every Morning and then get to bed.

No night hawk or night owl tonight for me!  LOL

Tomorrow will be an interesting day.  I have a friend who is a retired sheriff from Mendicino county in northern California.  His wife passed away almost a year ago, and we meet every Tuesday for lunch.  Helps to fill his week.  Vivian and I have a lady friend who lost her husband two years ago.  Well, you guessed it, we are playing cupid and have arranged a blind date of sorts.  We will meet in Sandpoint for lunch.  They are really great people.
