Morning Devotional...That ye...may be able to comprehend...what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height, and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge.
Ephesians 3:19
A scientist might argue for only three dimensions of space, saying that depth and height are two names for the same measurement.
But a little child upheld in his father's arms knows better.
For him, the room not only has length and breadth, but depth and height--because he's in the middle of it!
--J. B. N., Jr.
O to delight in it, keep within sight of it,
Warm in the strength of it, in its control;
Feeling the might of it, depth of it, height of it,
Breadth of it, length of it flooding the soul.
--I. Y. Ewan

I slept real good last night and this morning the sore throat is gone. Hallelujah!!
Thanks Pat for the devotional today. I pray that everyone will have a blessed day in the Lord's house. Gotta run now and get ready.

Good morning!
Wonderful devotion today, Pat!
I put some pictures up in the photography area of our trip to Denver when Zachery had to go to the hospital.
Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!
God bless you

Great quote, Etta Sue!

A SHARING................
Let your mind be quiet, realising the beauty of the world and all that you have within you and all that your heart desires will surely come to you; and God Himself will come and bend over and catch His own likeness in you.
via Jenny.
Hello Everyone...I've been doing a lot of housecleaning chores behind the scenes on CP and forgot to come in here and say "Hi" to y'all!
Hi!
That's too bad,
Ria, that the seats aren't comfortable for you in the service. I'm so sorry! I'm glad you've been able to speak to your aunt. I think that this close contact is so good for her with her family back in Holland. I remember how Jack's step mother enjoyed our calls when she was in a nursing home in Ireland. We tried to phone her as often as we could.
Etta Sue, what a fantastic-sounding lunch you are going to have. You'll have to tell us if it was as good as it sounded!
I'm happy that your new camera fits into your purse,
Marilyn! Now no excuses at all not to see lots of your photos! ;)
Sonja, I'm so happy that you enjoyed the devotional today. I did as well! ;) I've been to see your photos and I hope everyone will go and see them. I feel as if I've been to Denver!!!! Thanks so much! Poor Zachery. I feel so badly that he's not well. I'll keep on praying for him.
Nice to see you too,
Jenny! Thanks for putting that quote in here for all of us.
Yes Pat she was very happy and she is laughing on
the phone we booth are happy when we call.

It is evening here 8.30PM
I wish you all a good afternoon and evening
Bye love Ria
No,
Ria, not many on today. It's a lovely day here in Guelph and maybe if it's this nice in other places, people are out taking photos to show us?
Maybe we should sing.
Maybe if we sing loudly enough, everyone will come and join us.
Let's see.... What shall we sing? Hmmmmm....
I've been thinking to myself that isn't it wonderful to know that when the roll is called in Heaven, I'll be there?
Will
you all be there?
Let's sing it together. Wait for the little introduction to finish before you start.
(Sing loudly now so everyone else will hear us! ) ;)

When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder (http://christianphotographers.com/sounds/whenroll.mid)
(Click to hear music)
When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound, and time shall be no more,
And the morning breaks, eternal, bright and fair;
When the saved of earth shall gather over on the other shore,
And the roll is called up yonder, I'll be there.
Refrain
When the roll, is called up yon-der,
When the roll, is called up yon-der,
When the roll, is called up yon-der,
When the roll is called up yonder I'll be there.
On that bright and cloudless morning when the dead in Christ shall rise,
And the glory of His resurrection share;
When His chosen ones shall gather to their home beyond the skies,
And the roll is called up yonder, I'll be there.
Refrain
Let us labor for the Master from the dawn till setting sun,
Let us talk of all His wondrous love and care;
Then when all of life is over, and our work on earth is done,
And the roll is called up yonder, I'll be there.
Refrain

I knew if we sang loudly enough, we'd get some more in here...
Kathy, Jenny, Papa John
did you hear us singing????
8.25 p.m.
Pat I just heard a still small voice say its "3.20 p.m. on C.P....Go-in...
So I popped back..
Yes I will be there, when the roll is called.
This is one appointment I will not miss.
I LOVE YOU ALL FOLKS...
JESUS LOVES ME THIS I KNOW FOR THE BIBLE TELLS ME SO.........
Jenny.
8.30 p.m.
WONDERFUL HOLY SPIRIT...
......................I LOVE YOU JESUS.
I'm so very happy to read that, Jenny! It WILL be a wonderful day for sure!
Iam out of breathe now. That was wonderful...
practising for the Heavenly Chorus Pat.
Jenny, it's great to be out of breath due to singing God's praises, isn't it?
I'm singing here so loudly that Geordie wonders what is up!
8.35 p.m.
I am going to do it again...
My next door neighbours are Moslems and very noisy.
I am going to " make a Joyful noise unto the Lord " Pat.
We must do this more often.
Jenny. XXX
Hello Pat and everyone. Good to see you today. And good to see each one. I am sitting here in my recliner, and I must admit it is hard to stay awake. We had wonderful service this morning. I had a corned beef sandwich for lunch and have been watching the Tennessee/New Orleans game on TV. The combination makes me sleepy.
Anyway, I did report in to say hello. Maybe I'll feel like writing something later.
- - - Papa John ;D
Well,
Papa John, you sing along with us and I guarantee you'll stay awake!
How could we ever hear our name when the roll is called up yonder if it wasn't for what Christ did for us at Calvary and us making Him Lord of our lives. We have a wonderful Heavenly Father, don't we?
...
Let's sing about it now...

(Click to hear music)
Author: William R. Newell, 1868-1956
Musician: Daniel B. Towner, 1850-1919
Luke 23:33
And when they were come to the place,
which is called Calvary, there they crucified him,
and the malefactors, one on the right hand,
and the other on the left.
Years I spent in vanity and pride,
Caring not my Lord was crucified,
Knowing not it was for me He died on Calvary.
Chorus:
Mercy there was great, and grace was free;
Pardon there was multiplied to me;
There my burdened soul found liberty at Calvary.
By God's Word at last my sin I learned;
Then I trembled at the law I'd spurned,
Till my guilty soul imploring turned to Calvary.
Chorus
Now I've given to Jesus everything,
Now I gladly own Him as my King,
Now my raptured soul can only sing of Calvary!
Chorus
Oh, the love that drew salvation's plan!
Oh, the grace that brought it down to man!
Oh, the mighty gulf that God did span at Calvary!
Chorus

What wonderul singers you all are I heard you.
We had the baby dedication and I did take photos, also of the worship team and the congregation as they stood singing ( from the back of the church). This week I will take the computer in to the shop.
Well I am going to rest for awhile before going back to church.
I have discovered today that I should hnot have given awy the clothes that were too small before I moved. I have lost a few pound and could sure use those clothes now. I guess walking the dogs has been good for me. even if I only walk them once a week.
TTYL
Good night, Ria. Talk to you tomorrow.
Hi Marilyn! Glad you heard us singing... ;) I thought that this one would be nice as well.
Many in this world are nominal Christians and they've wandered far away from God. Oh, our prayer is that they would "come home"...
(https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fmembers.rogers.com%2Fscott4275%2Fimages%2Fmusicbar.gif&hash=4c361f5db8df25919386b90bf3c753a4ce191914)
Lord, I'm Coming Home (http://christianphotographers.com/sounds/coming.mid)
(Click to hear music)
Words & Music: William J. Kirkpatrick
Luke 15:18
"I will set out and go back to my father
and say to him: Father, I have sinned
against heaven and you."
Kirkpatrick wrote this song at a camp meeting in
Rawlinsville, Pennsylvania, with a very specific purpose:
to win the soul of his soloist, a nonbeliever.
After Kirkpatrick prayed for the young man,
these words came to him. He wrote them down
quickly, and after the soloist sang them that
night, he became a Christian.
I've wandered far away from God,
Now I'm coming home;
The paths of sin too long I've trod;
Lord, I'm coming home.
Refrain
Coming home, coming home
Never more to roam;
Open wide Thine arms of love;
Lord I'm coming home.
2
I've wasted many precious years,
Now I'm coming home;
I now repent with bitter tears;
Lord, I'm coming home.
3
I'm tired of sin and straying Lord,
Now I'm coming home;
I'll trust thy love belive thy word;
Lord I'm coming home.
4
My only hope, my only plea,
Now I'm coming home;
That Jesus died, and died for me;
Lord I'm coming home.
5
I need His cleansing blood I know,
Now I'm coming home;
O wash me whiter than the snow;
Lord I'm coming home.

Pat i have again listen to the songs they are so nice
but now i am sleepy i go to bed.
Till tomorrow
Bye your all love Ria :-*
10.15 p.m.
Me too Ria.
I am off to bed now "family"..
Goodnight, God bless, Sleep tight.
See you in the morning..
Jenny.
Hi everyone.
Just popped in to read the posts.
I also have sung along and greatly enjoyed it.
Have a good evening everyone.
Sue
Goodnight to
Ria and Jenny! See you in the morning gals!
And
Sue, I'm so happy to hear that you sang along with us.
Here's one I never knew before. Maybe some of you know it and you can sing loudly if you do. The rest of us will follow along. I think I've got the tune down pat now but I still mess up! ;) But what wonderful words.
Whatever your music player is, set it to play "continuously" and then you can hear the music over and over till you change it to the next hymn. There's an intro to this one that is about 16 beats and then an instrument comes in playing the melody so don't try to sing it while the introduction is being played (like I did!! LOL).
What a wonderful time we'll have when we all get home to worship our Saviour. What a victory is ours!
Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ. Nothing!

Our Song of Victory (http://christianphotographers.com/sounds/oursongofvictory.mid)
Copyright © 1992 by Lawrence Keith Holder
Romans 8:38-39
"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels,
nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature,
shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus."
The Lord provides for me always,
For each and ev'ry care.
And tho' the storms should come,
I know that Christ is always there.
And who shall take salvation from me,
Or steal the grace I've known?
Not even the gates of hell
Shall destroy the love that God has shown,
The love that God has shown.
Chorus
For I'm sure that neither death (not death), nor life (nor life),
Nor height (nor height), nor depth (nor depth),
nor anything else in the world
Shall be able (shall be able) to cut us off from God,
Shall be able (shall be able) to separate this Love,
In Christ Jesus, we have won!
We have won!
Jesus Christ is the Answer,
I need to search no more,
For when by grace He called to me,
I opened wide the door.
No longer must I fear the Temptor,
Nor face this life alone:
My Savior is here to stay,
Till the day He brings me home,
The day He brings me home.

Oh, yes! The last line of the above hymn is "We have won!" And on the second verse, we really sing it loudly and hold it!
Maybe we can get Chris in here to lead us. I'm sure that he being in the roofing business has good "song leading arms!" ;D
Lovely singing today. Now I'll give you a link to a ssite that shows some of the beautiful country around the Lost Coast of California, where Al and I live.
http://www.pashnit.com/roads/cal/MattoleRd.htm (http://www.pashnit.com/roads/cal/MattoleRd.htm)
Take the tour. Pinkie would love this it is a morotcycle web site.
Thank you Pat for the music. I heard you singing loudly and decided to find out where it was coming from. What do you know it was on CP! Pat, I always enjoy the music you put on because it sounds as if you are actually playing the piano. Remember playing the piano at your Mom and Dad's. It was wonderful.
Boy, when we all get to heaven, all our problems and trials will be over!
But until then, the breadth and heighth and width and length of the love of Christ will sustain us until then. Praise God.
Love Ruthie
Pat:
I'm on my way to church. Will check in later.
Love Ruthie
I could hear the lovely music, so I just KNEW it had to be coming from CP. I sang along with you., but, I didn't know the last piece at all...so now I do!!
This morning we went to a different church., we had just sat down when a lady came up to us, looking so very angry, and told us that we were in HER seat. She said she has sat there for 30 years, and wasn't about to change!!
Well, the usher had put my walker away to the back of the auditorium, so, with Norm's arm, I struggled over across the aisle.
Several people heard her say that to us, and told us not to move (there was no name on the chair, of course)., but after that, we wouldn't even THINK of staying!
Sooo, that was our experience this morning!
Etta Sue: Your lunch sure sounded good. Does your church put on lunches/dinners like that often?
A friend of my son's is coming to one of our local churches here to speak next Sunday. I will be sorry to miss hearing him, as we plan to visit our daughter. We haven't seen that side of the family since June., and I'm really missing them.
This afternoon after church and lunch, we went to the Legion grounds to hear a mass bands of Scottish Pipe bands, bag-pipes.
Is there anyone here who dosen't enjoy bag-pipes? I really like them., but my dad couldn't stand them
I think its something that you either really like or dislike.
Thanks Marilyn for the link. I'll have a good look at that for sure if it has where you and Al live!!!
Oh, Ruthie, how I remember the sing-songs we had at home and also when your dad and I got together. Remember him? "Hey, Patsy! Do you know .....? How about playing it for me!" How I miss your father. I know we aren't supposed to have favorites but I must say that there was something very special about Uncle Bob. He and I had a closeness not very often shared by uncle and niece.
:'(
Oh, Judy! How I wish you had told me of the pipes and drums! I was learning the bagpipes years ago and I just love them. Jack was a Lieutenant in the 48th Highlanders in Toronto and all his marching was done to the skirl of the pipes!
I'm so sorry about your time at that different church. I can't even imagine it happening! Sorry!
Oh Pat... how I wish I had of thought to tell you! It was such a lovely way to spend Sunday afternoon too! Best part of it was that there was absolutely no charge whatsoever!
Jack and I were coming home from church one Sunday from Milton and we passed the Legion and saw many pipe bands and so we drove in and spent the afternoon so maybe this was a similar event.
Yes, if I had known I would love to have gone.
I've been sitting here singing and singing all of our hymns today but especially that last one "Our Song of Victory". I can just imagine Larry's church choir singing that with all the parts. And I can just hear them singing that last line--- "We have won!!"
Hi everyone. First time getting here today and I see this has been a busy place with a lot of singing. I went to church by myself this morning as Pat as not feeling very good. I think she is feeling somewhat better this afternoon and she has jury duty tomorrow so hope she will be up to par tomorrow.
Following our service this morning we had a Congregational Meeting that lasted until after 1 pm so it was late when I got home. I stopped for some fried chicken so Pat wouldn't have to fix lunch. It wasn't very good but served the purpose. We elected a elders and deacons for the class of 2006 (these are three year terms). We also voted to eliminate the position of Associate Pastor due to our financial situation. Unfortunately our church is in a time of turmoil due to the situation with our senior pastor, who is on a six month sabbatical prior to vacating his position. However, things are moving forward.
See you all tomorrow.
Hi everyone. I am going to stay long enough to say hello to all of you. Will come back later tonight and read today's posts. Our evening service will begin in a half hour, so my time is limited right now.
We had a wonderful worship service this morning, what a great sermon and the singing was just so good. Plus some of our kids were here visiting with us.
C ya later.....
Love, Janice
Hi Ms Janice, it is wonderful to see you here. ;D
Hi Everyone, 8)
It is a wonderful day today, yes? 8)
I did try to sing a song here. ::) Every time I try to sing a song, everyone will run here to see if I am hurt. :-\
I think perhaps I sound as a cow if I sing. :(
I do often have a song in my heart, but I can only sing the new words to the old song. It is the only song sound I do know. :-\
I did have a fun week most every day. I went yesterday to see the Cirque Du Soleil. ;D 8) ;D
If you can go to see it, it is wonderful.
And, so sad, I did sell my tiny car today. :( It is too sad to see it go but I will not have a need for this for many months now. Perhaps I can get a nother one day. It is not smart to pay for this when I am gone for so long. :(
I will go now to read everything and I will be back again in a moment ok. ;D
I wish for everyone to have a good day. 8)
Hi there, Mieka! It is so nice to see you today. I'm sorry you had to sell your little car, but you can buy another one when you come back home, yes? And with all of us on CP praying for you, you WILL come back!! How many weeks now until you must go?
Janice, nice to see your smiling face today, too. And all the rest of you!
We went to Hugoton for church, and just returned home a bit ago. We had lunch at Diane's, then went to Guymon to look at a car wash our son in law is considering buying. He values our input and advice--isn't that nice? Abby was really full of "pep and vinegar" today! ;) ;D
I will go see what's been happening on the other threads here. See you all tomorrow!
Oh, yes, Pat, I enjoyed singing with you this evening. They sang all songs I didn't know today at church, with the exception of "A Mighty Fortress is our God"....I know that one! They have so many talented musicians and singers, the worship leadership changes often, and a couple of them like the "new" stuff. It's all right, the kids seemed to really be enjoying it.
Hi Ms Janet, ;D (((hug)))
I did like the stories you share. :)
I must go in perhaps 6 more weeks. I must be there in the November. :-[ I will try hard to like it. I do know there are many things I will enjoy from this. But i will miss my home for this time.
I did have some pictures to share for the place of worship challenge. For some years now I do go to all the many place of worship. I have many hundred pictures from all the places i did see. From all these places I do know which is the most holy place for me. It is the place I am with God each day. It is the place I find the best of friend and the most of love.
It is my home. I will have it in my heart when I am away and I treasure my time here.
I do love you all here, and I love you God. :-[
Mieka, we will miss you while you're away, but we'll cherish these weeks we have left to enjoy your company and we'll keep you in our hearts an prayers until you return.
Mieka: I've missed something here....where is it that you are going?
PRAISE THE LORD
WHEN THE ROLL UP YONDER IS CALLED I WILL BE THERE.
Ruth
I hope you all have enjoyed the link I posted earlier of a portion of the Lost Coast area. It is a bit south of the Eureka/Arcata/Mckinleyville area but it will give you and idea of the beauty this part of the country has. in case you missed the link here it is again.

We sure had a powerful prayer meeting this evening, only 3 of us were present and the spirit of the Lord made 4. Absolutely powerful. We laid hands on each other and were all anointed with oil The Holy Spirit did some powerful things in each of us. I feel so good. Awesome meeting.!!!
Hi Marilyn... Yes, I did open the link and it's awesome! I love that area.
What a great time of singing we had, eh?
Now it's time to start another week!
