Morning Devotional...He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore His arm brought salvation unto Him. Isa. 59:16
The Lord hath made bare His holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God. Isaiah 52:10
Some seek to demonstrate their strength by rolling up their shirtsleeves and arm wrestling another.
Likewise, Isaiah metaphorically uses the arm eleven times to speak of God's delivering strength--Calvary being the greatest display.
At Calvary, God's bare arm hung between heaven and earth, took the nails I deserved and brought deliverance to my soul.
What strength! --Warren Henderson
Jehovah lifted up His rod--
O Christ, it fell on Thee!
Thou wast sore stricken of thy God;
there's not one stroke for me.

Well, hey PAT! You locked the door while I was writing an answer to you!! :-[ hmmphh Anyway, I answered you about what happened that I lost everything off my computer. You'll just have to wonder, I guess. :P
Oh, brother!
I'm sitting here "wondering".
HAHAHAHA ;D
Marilyn, just a thought that I've had. Perhaps if you were to try the support centre for Kodak, they might be able to help you.

Good morning Pat and Jane.
Apt devotional thanks Pat.
Hello Sue, nice to meet you.
I hear on our Radio that Donald O'Connor has died. I liked him.
News also re complete power blackout in Italy, seems to be due to the French connection! I've heard something like this before recently....Yes!
The sun is now shining here in Warwickshire, England. It was foggy first thing...comes from living so near to a busy road. A mist soon changes to fog. Anyway all seems clear and "honky-dory" now.
Satan has asked to sift me like wheat but Jesus has prayed for me that my faith will not fail...Praise Him...
I will go in the Strength of the Lord this day Pat and Chris. Thanks for the Christian love and support yesterday!..........Love you!
Have a blessed Lord's Day everyone.
Jenny.

Gooooood Morning!!!
I am glad do hear Papa John is at home and they have figured out the problem. I will still keep you in my prayers for the upcoming surgery.
We went to South Dakota yesterday to see the changing colors of the trees in Spearfish Canyon. It was so beautiful. We hiked and took lots of pictures. My first time taking pictures of water with a long exposure. Very cool!
Chandraya isn't feeling to good today. She woke up with a stomach ache :-X. We will probably stay home from church. I am sure it is from all the junk food we ate during the trip. Her little body does take that stuff to well. ::)
Glad to see everyone is having fun.
love Sonja
Good Morning Carol, Al, and Papa John! ;D I see you are online! :D
Mieka - God is eternally manifest in three Persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is not, however, three gods, but only one. We cannot now fully understand the Trinity, but we can believe it. Jesus is God. The Father is God. And the Holy Spirit is God. But yet He is one God. When we speak (or the Bible speaks) of "the arm of God," it's what we call an anthropomorphism - a simile - an illustration, and it is not to be thought of as a description of God. God has no arms, legs, etc., but, just as for a man the arm is a picture of his strength, so with God, to speak of His "arm" is to speak of His strength, even though He has no actual "arm."
Good Morning Sonja! It is nice to be here. I am glad that you had a scenic trip and hope that everyone is back to good health today in your household. Our daughter always had trouble with motion sickness but she did outgrow it. Thank heaven!
I am thankful that we have an antiquated laptop because our deck computer is not working at all after being in the shop. Also, all of my pictures were lost. I am going to try to search somewhere to find out if there is any chance at all that they could be recovered - the FBI can do such things, why can't we?
One son just adopted a Rescue Puppy and I need to call and ask how the night went. I guess it is darling a mixed-breed. There are two sister puppies but we really can't start that all over again after all these years.
I am going in to read Papa John's post. Have a beautiful Lord's Day! Carol
I am so grateful for the "arm" of the Lord who upholds me with his righteous right hand. See Isiah 41:10
Good morning everyone, it is good to see so many here already. I am going to make this short and go read the prayer thread. Have a great lord's day and I will see you all later.

Mieka I am so glad you asked that question! Yes, we were created in the image of God, so it doesn't seem to me right to say He has no arms or legs! Please explain, Al........
Our wonderful company are on their way home to Nebraska now. We had such a nice visit with them and hated to see them leave, but we will get together again soon. This is my "brother" whose story I want to get down on paper. What a great guy he is!
We didn't go to church, as Don and Carol were just getting ready to leave at the time we should have been leaving for church. So I am using the time to catch up here in CP. Lots of great posts to read.
See you later!
Good Afternoon Everyone...
What wonderful questions you ask, Mieka! I remember being asked what God looked like when my children were little and it's very difficult to reply. The Trinity is a study subject that can take months and months to grasp.
God has no arms or legs because God is a spirit.
For help, I went to my trusty book that we used for devotions in our home when the children were younger.
We Cannot See GodWould you like to see God? We have learned that we cannot see God. Nobody has ever seen God.
Why can we not see God?We cannot see God because
He is spirit. We cannot see a spirit.
What is a spirit?Well, when God made you, He gave you a body and a spirit, or soul. Your spirit lives inside your body. Your spirit is the real you. It is your spirit, inside your body, that listens while we read; it is your spirit that thinks, and loves; it is your spirit that is happy and makes you smile; it is your spirit that is sad sometimes, and makes the tears come.
Nobody can see your spirit. But you can feel it living there, inside of you.
From Leading Little Ones to God[/list]
I wonder if this helps at all, Mieka.
I'm having company in just a few minutes and I'm making some quick cookies. I came to our fantastic
In The Kitchen (http://christianphotographers.com/yabbse/index.php#7) area to find a recipe. And I found
Etta Sue's Cake Mix Chocolate Cookies (http://christianphotographers.com/yabbse/index.php?board=12;action=display;threadid=492) They smell delicious!
Oops! I hear the buzzer going so I better get this batch out of the over quick!
Sonja, before I get back to my cookies (another tray I just put in the oven), I'm sorry to read about Chandraya feeling under the weather! Hope she's better soon.
Sounds like you had a wonderful time in South Dakota! I'm looking forward to seeing the photos you took--especially the water one.
Hi Janet! Sounds like you had a lovely time with your visitors!
Sorry you lost all your photos, Carol! That's just too awful to even imagine. I have about three CDs all filled with my photos in case anything happens to my hard drive. How's Don's hand?
I love your Chinese phrase today, Etta Sue!
Hope you have a wonderful day, Marilyn
It's good to see you both, Mercychild and Jenny!
Oops! My buzzer is going again... Mustn't let the cookies burn!
Good, good morning everyone. I didn't make it to church today. Sometimes I can't sleep much, so it catches up with me, and this morning it caught me. I didn't wake until almost 10 am.
Jane, I saw you here, so does that mean your computer is fixed??
Sonifo, did you get good pictures? My sister and I are going to go on an up-the-coast picture trip in October or November. I'm hoping to get some storm ones, but it may be too early. I wasn't going to tell anyone, because my pictures don't compare with yours, but I am Silent Sister in DPC. I thought I could sneak in and no one would know about my low scores, but that really isn't fair either...is it? LOL
Pat, thanks for the reminder of the recipe section here. I need to make something for a potluck. We're having a memorial service for one of our gone-home friends on Monday night, and they've decided to make it a time of fellowship around potluck. I never can think what to bring, as I'm not a cook cook. I just cook. :)
I heard from my daughter again and they are safely in their new home. She said it was 103 outside when she called...and a nice 72 in their home. I guess you just stay inside in Arizona? I asked God to send angels with them as they traveled. :) I told Rene she could release them now if she wanted (I know, I know...that isn't Biblical) but she wasn't quite ready to do that. haha I reminded her that God is our peace.....and He is who she needs.
Have a blessed day everyone. I feel that Goodness and Mercy have taken me by both arms and I guess whatever I do today, we'll do it together. Praise God. Praise our wonderful God. Who is like Him?
Speaking of being created in the image of God: I believe we are like God, as others have said in differing way, in the place we can connect with Him; that is our spirit. We, having our spirits made alive when we received Jesus' own life into our beings, are now one with God in spirit. Spirit to spirit we touch. Somewhere in the Bible it talks about "kissing the Son". Just think......we kiss Jesus spirit to Spirit. This is intimacy. This is the oneness with God that we already know in Jesus, because HE is one with the Father.
Sometimes I can ponder on this wonderful thing, and the understanding and awe just grows until it is too much for me to take in. :) ??? :) :) ;D
Hi.
My parents just called to invite us for dinner, so I said I'd bring dessert to go with the roast beef that is on the menu. YUMMMMY, The Dump Cake recipe has intrigued me, so must go to print it off and give it a try!
Have a great day everyone!
Hi Everyone:
Thank you Alfor explaining the Trinity to Meika. Speaking of God's arm as strength is good. Just like His Hand. When we see things happen in our life, it's because His Hand was causing or allowing things to happen. Usually I pray for God's Hand to be on my life or someone else's life. When it is I know it will be His Perfect Will.
There is a verse that says the Eyes of the Lord search the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him, (or commited to Him). Even though we don't see His Eyes physically, we know He is watching us every second of the day.
Of course we know that Jesus became a man and lived for 33 years on this earth and died and rose again for us so we can have eternal life. It is Jesus, the infinite God/Man that we can relate to because he lived just like we do now, yet was perfect, without sin.
I thank God that the Holy Spirit lives inside of us now that Jesus has left the earth and it is His job to point us to Jesus and make the scripture clear.
If we don't understand everything, one day in heaven we will understand it all as we worship the Lamb of God, who is Jesus our wonderful saviour
Love Ruthie :)
Mieka,
understanding the "Three in One God" is difficult and calls for faith.
God is Spirit as Jesus tells us, John ch. 4 v 24, meaning only truthful disciples can worship Him, religious people who think they can go to church and pay lipservice to Him, then ignore Him for the other six days, are in for a big shock, unless they become born again, sincere followers of Christ.
God indeed is Spirit and manifests Himself in human form as He has done many times throughout the old testament, see Genesis ch. 18 and ch. 32 for instance.
He is able to hide His Glory in a human form and in Jesus all the Gory of God was manifest,
God in Human form!
Just for us!
If you wanted to talk to a fish the easiest way, if it were possible, would be to become a fish!
And when God found man desperately wicked and unable to reach up to God because of his sins, well, God decided to take pity on us and reach down to us!
That is why the Lord Jesus became a man, born of a woman by a virgin birth by the Holy Spirit.
God was reaching down to sinful man, that is Christianity.
Now, man trying to reach up to God by service and good deeds, well that is religion!
Christiany is not a religion but a way of life!
A new, exciting Life which God gives when He calls us in Jesus and we become His adopted sons.
The "Three in One" God can be explained by an example which we use for Sunday School sometimes --- Water is water but freeze it and you have ice, but it is still water, boil it, and you have steam, but it is still water!
God can appear in many forms as we said,
the Holy Spirit appeared at Jesus' baptism in the visible form of a dove, but the Holy Spirit is not a dove, He is God, with the Father and the Son, one God.
This will probably confuse you even more!
But study good scripture commentaries like perhaps by Matthew Henry, etc. and your faith and understanding will grow.
May God give you good insight,
regards,
Chris and Margit. :-)

Hello Everyone.
Sue I am very hungry now. I didn't cook today as my son is away for the weekend so I just had salad.....That roast beef smells good! Yo will love the Dump cake. I tried it....Mmnn! Lovely! Have you a recipe for us?
Chris and Margit I thought of you both each time I logged on today. There is my Swan/goose...I kept calling it a swan but Pat says it's a goose. A goose for a goose! Anway I love it., and my scripture is imbedded now! Thank-you so much dear Ones.
Mieka.. God loves us so much and He could see that Mankind had done wrong and had lost the way to eternal life in Paradise so He thought "What shall I do".......first He sent prophets to warn us and we didn't listen to them so then He decided to come Himself, but as He is a spirit we couldn't see Him so He took on Human form and entered the World Himself., through a Son whom He called Jesus. However He needed a pure woman to carry this special One so He by the direct intervention of His spirit entered Mary's womb and Jesus Christ was born. He was Human and divine. A second Adam.
The first Adam sinned. He had no human parents but His father was God.
The second Adam was Jesus. He didn't sin and His father was God. If we ask Jesus in to our heart He will save us for eternity to live with Him. Her gave Himself as a sacrifice for our sins. Before that the priests used to kill animals and shed their blood on the altar. Jeus shed His blood all over the streets of Jerusalem for us.
It is so wonderful Mieka that I may never meet C.P. brothers and sisters in this life but in Heaven we shall be together because of what Jesus did for us when He died on the cross.
"COME INTO MY HEART LORD JESUS ....COME INTO MY HEART TO STAY"........
If you have never asked Him to do so. Ask Him now. He will never fail you and one day you shall see Him in Heaven. You will always have a best friend to help you wherever you go in life. Jesus is my best friend. Is He yours?
Goodnight, God bless everyone.
Jenny.
Dear Mieka, I am sorry for misspelling your name earlier. You also asked about the "image of God". In Gen 1:26 God said "Let USmake man in OUR image" There is the Trinity.! When God said that, He meant every human being is worthy of honour and respect.
He created animals and birds etc, but they don't have a soul and so are far different than we humans. "Image" refers to such characteristics as "righteousness, holiness and knowledge". Believers are to be conformed to the "likeness" of Christ and will someday be "like Him".
So Mieka the "image or likeness" of God has to do with our "spiritual likeness" Of course, after man sinned, he fell away from and was far from the likeness of God and only after we are reborn can we have the righteousness of God in our lives and then we strive to be more like Christ.
Hope this has been some help to you.
Love Ruthie :)
Today's posts are very informative. There are some things you just KNOW. You can't explain it but you KNOW it is there and KNOW it is true. That is faith! We have faith that all of God's words are true. We may not understand them but through faith we know they are true.
We thought Jerry's daughter and family were coming today but they didn't. So after going to his house after church, I drove to the other side of where I live to visit Staples for a new colored ink cartridge. Staples have their own that is old cartridges refilled. Well, the yellow girl must have been missing the day my cartridge was filled. :'( No yellow in it. So I will be making another trip back to Staples before bedtime tonight. Probably after Jerry's NASCAR race!
I am glad that everyone is having a great Lord's day.
We had a wonderful service this morning. The Children's Message was an explanation of Baptism and what it means. Then the regular message was on 2 Corinthians 4:7-17 and our pastor strayed somewhat from his prepared sermon and apologized when he finished that it had been longer than scheduled - but it sure didn't seem long! ;) During the offering, a young lad who has become Gene's and my "spiritual son" over the last several years, sang a wonderful new (at least to us) song. He's in the National Guard and expects his unit to be deployed to Iraq soon. If and when he goes I'll post a prayer request and we'll know he'll be well protected.
To Mieka,
You ask a question that has challenged Christians for years. How can one person be three, and three be one????? It is indeed confounding. In my little, concrete mind, I have latched on to several "illustrations" that might explain it. They are not perfect, as they try to explain something spiritual by using physical examples, but here goes.
APPLE PIE
You have an apple pie sitting on the table. You pick up the knife and cut it into three parts. On the outside it looks like three pieces. BUT, if you peel back the top crust, you can't tell in the apple pie mixture where one piece starts and another stops. It is three pieces, but all one.
WATER
H2O is water. Water can be ice, or steam, or water. It is three different manifestations of the same thing.
RELATIONSHIP
I am Bernard's wife. I am Travis's mother. I am Kasey's sister. I am one person, but to each of these people, I play a different role. God is my creator, Jesus is my Savior, and the Holy Spirit is my guide. Just as I am wife, mother, sister, God is creator, Savior, guide (among other things).
There are a couple of more, but I can't remember them right off the bat.
I hope this helps some.
karmat <dashing off to try and do some real world stuff>

I did get some cool shots. I will have to post some of them. I was real surprised at how well the turned out. I learned one thing is that I need a graduated filter. That would help the sky not be so bright. I will put that on my list of things to get.
Pat, thank you for your prayers and concern about Chandraya. She is feeling better now. I think it was all the junk food.
My oh My what wonderful analogies of the trinity. Can I add one? This is the one I use with my children. Pick up an apple. Is the skin the apple? is the white pulp that you eat the apple? Are the seeds the apple? Yet without the skin, pulp and seeds the apple is not complete. Now enjoy eating your apple. Oh yes, I use the seeds to illustrate the Holy Spirit!
Sue I love the picture! My you look like your mom. I think I will try the dump cake too!
Ruthie, you look well.
Jenny eat well. You need to keep your strength up. You do so much and are needed by so many.
Ria, Hope you arrived back home safely.
Pat, John didn't take the berries down again. Thankyou for taking mother shopping. You know the potatoes she bought? She boilled several for supper, and they boilled over an hour, and they were still hard. Don't know what kind they were. John even tried them and he couldn't even fork them!
I am at Doug and Megan's home today. We have Elijah sick with a really bad cold. Keep him in your prayers.
Well it is their 'puter, so bye for now
Blessings,
JudyB
Another analogy of the triune God.

The roots are underground, you don't see them, Just as God is a spirit and you can't see him.
The trunk is the next thing, You see the trunk, Jesus is the trunk
The branches and leaves. Are the Holy spirit.
All three are parts of the same tree so it is still One tree.

How can I say thanks
for the things you have done for me?
Things so undeservered,
Yet You gave to prove Your love to me?
The voices of a million angels
Could not express my gratitude.
All that I am and ever hope to be
I owe it all to Thee.
To God be the glory,
To God be the glory,
To God be the glory,
For the things He has done.
With His blood
He has saved me,
With His power
He has raised me,
To God be the glory
For the things He has done.
Just let me live my life
Let it be pleasing, Lord, to Thee;
And should I gain any praise,
Let it go to Calvary.
With His blood
He has saved me
With His pow'r
He has raised me,
To God be the glory
For the things He has done,

I had a real nice time at the church BBQ. There was so much food. I didn't take my camera, I shoud have tho'. There is a man at our church who owns a company call Club Pneuma. It is inflatables, the really big ones like slides, there a ship called the Tot Tanic and other ones that were set up in the parking lot for the kids.
I had invited Sarah's parents but they didn't show up and didn't call and tell me they couldn't make it. I alway invite Gilbert, Sarah and the Kids knowing that they will refuse to go.I would be so nice to have someone to go with one of these day. I get tired of going everywhere alone.
Not a good day but not a bad day either. The Lord's day, Praise the Lord in all things and in all circumstances. Right?
Hi Everyone:
Oh Marilyn - Gosh., If we only lived closer...I would LOVED to have gone to your church barbeque with you!!
I would hate going places alone too., I used to do it all the time before Norm accepted the Lord. The lonliest time was New Years Eve. We always had such a beautiful service, complete with communion, and many many years I went alone. Now he wants to go EVERYWHERE with me!...haha., and there are times, when I want to go someplace with a girl friend, or just being by myself (I'd never let on though).
Well, we visited our daughter this weekend., and I woke up with a very sore eye. Norm took me to Emerg., and the doctor discovered that I have a deep scratch on the retina. Soooo, here I sit with a patch on one eye. This is straining my other eye (typing, I mean), so after reading a few other forums, I will close for the night.
My prayers continue for Papa John., and always for Marilyn!
Love,
Judy M.
Just going to post a short note this evening to say hi as had such a busy day I didn't have time to rest this afternoon and am feeling fine but pretty tired. See you all tomorrow.
Sometime next month, we are putting on a steak dinner for $8.00 per person. The $8.00 will be spent on a "Fire Bible" We are trying to raise enough money to buy 500 "Fire Bibles" to send to China. Two weeks ago there was an area wide Steak Out. A dinner held in Eureka. All the money went to Home Missions, our Teen Chllenge project was one of the recipients.
For those who are not familliar with Teen Challenge, it is a program originally stared by David Wilkerson. It is the same program Nicky Cruz went though in New York and that Andre Crouch worked with in Los Angeles. It is part of the Assembly of God churches.
It is a Christian Based drug and alcohol rehabilitation program that has been very successful here in the states and other parts of the world. It think I heard that there is even one in Russia.
I have a good day. We went to church this morning and my son-in-law helped me in a wheel chair because I am still pretty weak. I was so happy to be there with my church family. I felt so close to God as we sang those wonderful songs. I felt like doing one of Marilyn's happy dances. Our preacher, Chris had an excellent lesson, very down to earth and relevant for all of us. I have had a restful afternoon. We have had some company but not too much. My sister and brother-in-law came by.
I am on a liquid diet and tomorrow I will drink that gallon of poison again to prepare for the surgery Tuesday. Of course it isn't really poison, it just seems like it is. I'm feeling good about this. I have known many who have gone through it and have survived fine. Why worry? It doesn't do any good. Often when I pray I say "Lord, if it can be in harmony with thy will fill this request." I want to thank everyone who has been so thoughtful. I really do treasure the many friends I have here and in other places.
Mieka, there is a lot of figurative language in the Bible where it speaks of the hands of the Lord, the face of God, God's finger etc. I don't understand many things about God but I know this which the apostle John wrote, "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is."
Believe in the Father and in Jesus and in the Holy Spirit. This is what the one God is. Love Him because he loves you. Obey his word because this pleases him. At the end of the day none of us will have lived perfectly but God's grace is sufficient for us. The sacrifice of Jesus on the cross for us is the way God has chosen to make us his children and to save us from our sins.
I hope you all have a good rest this evening.

Mieka - you say, "
QuoteMr Moak, How then are we made in His image? I did think we are made to look as God? He is three and we are only one, He has not any arm and legs. (it is why it is a puzzle to me )
"
Please look carefully at Ruthie's answers - they are very good. It's always good to go directly to the Bible for the best answers if we can. In this case, Ephesians 4:24 is good. It says, "...and that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness." The likeness to God is a likeness to His righteousness and holiness, not a physical likeness. As our seminary professor once said, it is nice to make up illustrations of the Trinity, but when all is said and done, none of the illustrations are completely accurate. There really are no illustrations that adequately describe the Trinity - our minds are simply not capable of fully understanding the concept of the Trinity. He is One God. He is eternally manifest in Three distinct Persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I usually tell people that we - finally - can't understand the Trinity, but we can
believe He is one God, and we can
believe He is manifest in three distinct Persons - all whether we can understand it or not.
But as far as our imagery of God in man, it is in the qualities of original holiness and righteousness that we are in His image.
God uses the term "arm" to denote strenght because we with our finite minds can relate to that, not because He actually has physical arms or legs, etc.
Oh, my! I can't tell you all what a great time I've had reading all the replies to our dear sweet Mieka!
Papa John, I'm copying your post and keeping it always. What a lovely post about what John said. Thanks so much. Please know that we'll all be in prayer for you on Tuesday. I wish that there was a family member of yours that could come and report on your welfare. Maybe even if they could send me a message that I could post?
Thanks again Al Moak! Your further explanation was good as well. Thanks again.
I'm off to work on photos for people.
Have you all been to "Creations with a Brush" and seen the lovely paintings of Ruthie's?
Missed your post above, Judy, till now. It was my pleasure to be able to take John's mother shopping. But I don't think she bought potatoes. At least I didn't carry any in! I think she had some from before and that's what were so hard! HAHAHA!
I'm sitting here watching "Songs of Praise" on the TV. They are in Braeholme at the submarine base in Scotland. Great singing and lovely scenery!
Al, I agree completely. That's why I had said that they were completely accurate because I was using something physical (and earthly) to try and describe GOD. Sometimes, though, I think it is better to come up with simple analogies to get people started to understanding better, than to leave them flailing in bewilderment. ;) :P They are simple though, probably oversimplified, even.
I hope everyone has a good night. I am going to cruise through the other forums for a little while.
A lovely day.
Suzzanne and family came for dinner, she brought the dump cake it was fantastic.

Hi Marilyn! Yes, we have to keep that discussion lively with posts.
A major hurricane is hitting Canada down in the east coast.
I heard about that hurricane, Prancer talked about it in M & V on SN.
How was your day Pat?
Hey ya'll
I am here asking for something some of you are already doing. I am asking ya'll for prayer over me. God is changing things in my life and i haven't really wanted it until now so i ask that ya'll be in prayer for me that i will accept these changes and better myself as a christian and as a person.
Thanks
Sarah
We're praying, Sarah. I haven't stopped! Glad to hear from you.

He left the splendor of heaven
Knowing His destiny
Was the lonely hill of Golgotha
There to lay down His life for me
And if that isn't love
Then the ocean is dry
There's no stars in the sky
And the little sparrows can't fly
Yeh if that isn't love
Then heaven's a myth
There's no feeling like this
If that isn't love.
Even in death He remembered
The thief hanging by His side
Then he spoke of love and compassion
And He took him to paradise
It's got to be love
Then the ocean is dry
There's no stars in the sky
And the little sparrows can't fly
Yeh if that isn't love
Then heaven's a myth
There's no feeling like this
It's got to be love.

Pat us in the North don't need to worry about the hurricane. We may get some rain, but that is welcome with the well. Really a mystery with the potatoes! HAHA
Sarah. A lot of the time it is a matter of wanting to, want to. Wanting to, want to make changes is a challenge as most of us don't like or feel we need chamge. Yes dear we will be praying, and God will bless you as you try to follow His lead.
Marilyn I do understand your lonliness. for two and a half years John lived near pat, and for a short time with pat. It was very lonely up here. Yes I do understand. I know so does Pat. She has felt the same emptiness that you and I do living alone. Business helps, but.....
By the way Pat I suggested to Mother that she could call on you. Thank you for being willing.
I must go. John is home and we need time.
Night all
Love JudyB
I thank you all for the wonderful answers today. 8)
I still do not undarstand so much of this :-\, but I do know more today than I did. ;D
When I die and I am only spirit, will I too be 3 as God? If I am his image?
Such a wonderful day here for me today, I thank everyone, I love you all SO much. I learn a lot today.
Hi to all! Marilyn, my friend, I am much better, thanks! My husband, Gary is a deacon in our church. He had to go to Peoria (IL) this past Friday; his mother was hospitalized. Since I'm taking injections in my knees, I could not go.They think she may have an ulcer; there is blood being lost somehow, so she has a battery of tests to come. She is not saved, and we are in prayer that she accept our Lord in salvation, but so far, she has not! My poor hubby spent two nights at the hospital with her, because she didn't want to be left alone; he slept on an 8 inch wide sindowsill, so he is just exhausted, but is napping now. I have been reading every post; just haven't been able to do any posting because of being on the phone so much! Our church family has also been praying for his mom, so they all called, at different times, to see how she was. (I wasn't able to go to church because of my knees; that's why they all called!) It is so wonderful to have so many caring, God-filled people with you when you are under alot of stress! Marilyn, you are still in my prayers; I'd like for you to have someone to go places with, too! Pat, your devotional was so illuminating today, and all the posts for our Mieka helped me so much! I love all of you; I thank you for being here, and I pray God is with you all through the night, and tomorrow,
Love in Him,
Cami
It's that time! (Where's Mieka?)
