Mike, I join the others in offering heartfelt sympathy in the loss of your brother.  My older brother, Bob, died 29 years ago when I was 48 and he was 53.  So I can understand what you are going through.  God bless you at this difficult time.

Dear Sonja - I've had many, many JWs come to our door over the years, and each time I've had to truly agonize in prayer over what I was going to say.  Actually, I've been thankful to have the opportunity, but it sure has made me dive into the Word to discover more and more of the truth of the Trinity.

Jesus said, "I and My Father are one." (John 10:30)  Yet He also promised the disciples, "And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever - the Spirit of truth, Whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you."  

And then He goes on wonderfully to say, "I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you." (John 14:16-18)  It's pretty plain from these Scriptures that there is a definite distinction between Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  Yet it is also equally plain that they are One.  We're simply not capable of really understanding this concept - three in one and one in three.  Many, many have tried to illustrate it from nature, but all such illustrations fall short.  We need to simply accept what He tells us as the truth, even though we don't understand it.

Jesus our Lord is God.  In His wonderful and perfect humanity, He prays to the Father and communes with the Father.  Yet, as the divine Spirit, He also comes to us and dwells in our very hearts, moving us to love and serve Him.

I have counselled many, many people not to try to understand this - but simply to accept it because it is taught by God's Word.

When I'm called upon to talk to a JW, I simply stress the straightforward Scripural statements, and I tell them we are, after all, finite, and we can therefore only understand the finite, but He is infinite, and He call on us to believe His trinitarian nature.

God bless.  Don't let confusion and lack of full understanding make you hesitate to call Jesus your Lord and your God (as Thomas did).  Ask Him to come to you by His Spirit, to indwell you, and to bless His blessed truth to you.

Hello everyone!!!!!

How are you all doing today?? I'm not to bad.

I just got chased by a dog again on my paper route!!!! It looked like a chocolate lab but it was more musculer than any regular dog would be. An old lady came by( she was taller than me) I think that is what made the dog run back to its house. well the people that owned the dog were not home and the door was about three feet open and the screen dor was a crack also, and I knew they had dogs but I thought they were gone with there owners. I as was walking away I heard a dog baring and heard it tapping on the scren door trying to get out. at the time I did not think the screen door was open so I just walked off. But then it got out and started chasing me to the next house down(at full speed) then I got across a fence and did not think it was smart enough to go around the fence but it did. so I ran into a corner and got out some of my papers and started trying to scare him away with them but still stayed like ten feet away. While I was doing that I was calling fo help. I was by a heavily trafficed road and no one was there on the road at the time so that made it even worse. so I was there trying to scare the dog away and it finnaly ran around the corner but was still barking at me so I could not leave. then a minute later the lady came and scared it back to its house. We whent to her house an she called 911(she did not want to look up the phone number for none emergancies and toled them about the dog and to get the dog pund people there. they came and we told her what hapend and she wen't over there to check it out. but do not know what they did. I finnishd my papers and whent back to the van where mom was.

it was quit scarey!!!

I have had a big day.  Mother had to have all the blood works done and then to see a dietition.  We have her Glucometer and he needs to take the blood sugar readings 4 times a day , every other day for 2 weeks.  At least this doctor is doing something to help her.   Then we had french, art, and Karate.  Then back to Mothers for another reading, and to teach Doug how to do the tests when I am not in town to be able to.  The sugar - starch free diet that she is on, I am going on as well.  That way we can support each other.

John will be home on Friday, and that is good .  He is heading back to Verginia.  Pat he turned around in Grimsby.

Well It is only 9:30, it feels like about 3 AM so I am signing off and heading to bed.

Chocolate and sweets are not good for the body but they are wonderful just the same.   But what I really enjoy best are the flowers,  It was just this morning on my school bus route that a little girl gave me a little something to remember her by as she is moving.  This little gift was a very tiny flower pot with forget me not seeds to plant.

Hey Zachery, the wierd thing about this situation was I heard a dog barking and growling on the other side of the block and immediatly thought of you, but Lila Mae had to go potty so I took her to Lisa's house.  I will act on my feelings next time. Sorry!  

Grrrr...dogs can be so frustrating.  

Hi Joyce....the JW's do not believe that Jesus is God!  In fact, in John 1:1 it says "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God."    The JW's say "the word was with God and the word was a god"  They have put an "A" in their watchtower version, which makes Jesus just a god!  They say He is a just a representative from God!  

There are many scriptures that tell us that Jesus is God.  One of my favourites is in Heb. 1: 5-8.  God the Father is saying "You are My Son, Today I have begotten You" v8-v9  "But to the Son He says:  Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righeousness is the scepter of your kingdon.  You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness;  Therefore God, Your God has anointed You with the oil of gladness more that Your  companions"  Here God the Father is calling Jesus God!  

To understand who is true and who is false, you just have to ask "Who do you say Jesus is?"

In Isa. 7: 14, 8:8, & Matt 1:23 Jesus is called "Immanuel, which means God with us"   In Matt 1:21 it says that Jesus will save His people from their sins.  And in Mark 2:7 it says that only God can forgive sins"

So Jesus is the mighty God who is our Lord and Saviour.   Anyone who proclaims that He is anything less is false!  And Jesus has said "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no man will come to the Father but through Me"  

Jenny, for one thing the JW's do not believe in heaven like we do.   They say that heaven is here on earth! They will not be in heaven with all the saints, unless they come the way we all have to, through Jesus Christ alone.

I know it takes the Holy Spirit to show us what to say.  I have been going door to door and have gone into a JW's home!

Dear Mike....I am so sorry about the death of your dear brother.   I will lift you up before our Lord and ask Him to give you His comfort.  My own dear brother died when he was 39 years old.   Such a hard time.

Hi Ruthie...  I remember so clearly with sadness watching Doug get worse and worse with his cancer.  It certainly was a sad time in our family...and for all of his little kids.

Hello All --- I've been super busy lately. I am no longer living in So Cal, moved back home after school let out and am having a blast. I will be transferring all my credits back up here and finishing school in the fall.

I am finding it great to be back around my best friend (even though he tours a lot with his band, Fighting Jacks) and being in the place that I grew up most of my life. Getting reacclimated and shooting a lot of photos, volunteering at an art gallery, and working.

I recently had two of my friends come up this week and ask me to shoot photos of them, so that should be a lot of fun. They want more fashion styled photos and I have just started doing that really. I have a couple of fashion shoots under my belt, but this is really new and fun to me. Trying to learn new lighting techniques to get more into that and I hope there are more coming soon.

I am probably not going to be around much but know that I will be posting a lot once I have time.... This is a really busy time for me and I am really excited to see how much my portfolio is growing. I just recently bought three 11x17 sized portfolios for my photos because I have sooo many that I want to show. And most like I will be breaking them into categories... Fine Art Portraits... Live Band Photography... and Fashion Photography...

Also I just wanted to let you know that my series, "Getting God's Attention" is shaping up very nicely and I hope to be sending it out to gallery in about three or four months when I get the rest of the photos together. I'm being very anal about the photos in the series and want to make sure that I give the best representation of each photos as I can.

I will probably be lurking here and posting occassionally, but blessings to you all.

What a day we had.  Been busy, but fun.  Troy has a 2 week vacation from swimming and he doesn't know what to do with himself.  hehehe...  
We are going to play basketball
and lift weights everyday to keep him fit.

I will be so busy this next couple of weeks with dance and baseball. Chandraya and I have a compatition coming up the beginning of April in Casper.  We will both be doing 2 dances.  
She has a ballet and a jazz class and I have a jazz and tap class.  I wish you call could come and see us.  You would get a good laugh from our adult tap.  We put alot of humor into our dance.
I will definitly get pictures.

I have also been working on some shots of Chandraya for the Photogenic contest that will also be held in Casper.  I have 3 pictures but not sure which ones to choose.  Maybe you all could help me.  


Glad to hear you are feeling a little better, Pat.  When every I get a sinus infections I sleep with a wet wash cloth on my face.  I am still praying for you.  Here is a cup of
