JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Hi everyone.  It is so good to see some of the CP family we haven't seen posting for a few days back yesterday and today.  Jenny, Iain and now two new folks as well as many who post regularly.

I have had another busy day as spent the morning out taking care of some business and then came home and followed up on it with some more paperwork that had to be done.  I was tired so took a short rest.

Pat, Jack had it pegged in that devotional message today.

I don't have the time to address everyone today but will just say that I think most of what I would have said has been said by others.

Hello Everyone...from U.K.

Iain, thank-you for a very meaningful devotional today.  Yes I do need to learn that lesson too brother., among many others.  I am glad that our God is long-suffering.

I think that I need to "Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him" ....to allow Him to do His perfect work with me.  Too often do I tell God what I want...and oh yes He gives it to me, if I pray long enough but I need to remember that sometimes when He gives us the desire of our heart He sometimes sends cold water into the soul......It is always better to leave things to our wise Heavenly Father.  His ways are best.  He wants my roots to go down deep...real deep into Him.  Just like these two trees of Iain's.

The Master Gardener knows best how to tend His own garden and Olive Groves.

Good night dear ones.
Pray, Hope and do not worry.
Jenny.

Wishing to encourage her young son's progress on the
piano, a mother took her boy to a Paderewski concert.
After they were seated, the mother spotted an old
friend in the audience and walked down the aisle to
greet her.

Seizing the opportunity to explore the wonders of the
concert hall, the little boy rose and eventually
explored his way through a door marked "NO
ADMITTANCE."

When the house lights dimmed and the concert was about
to begin, the mother returned to her seat and
discovered that the child was missing.

Suddenly, the curtains parted and spotlights focused
on the impressive Steinway on stage. In horror, the
mother saw her little boy sitting at the keyboard,
innocently picking out "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star."

At that moment, the great piano master made his
entrance, quickly moved to the piano, and whispered in
the boy's ear, "Don't quit. Keep playing."
Then leaning over, Paderewski reached down with his
left hand and began filling in a bass part. Soon his
right arm reached around to the other side of the
child, and he added a running obligatio.

Together, the old master and the young novice
transformed what could have been a frightening
situation into a wonderfully creative experience.
The audience was so mesmerized that they couldn't
recall what else the great master played. Only the
classic "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star."

Perhaps that's the way it is with God. What we can
accomplish on our own is hardly noteworthy. We try our
best, but the results aren't always gracefully flowing
music. However, with the hand of the Master, our
life's work can truly be beautiful.

Next time you set out to accomplish great feats,
listen carefully. You may hear the voice of the
Master, whispering in your ear, "Don't quit.
Keep playing."

May you feel His arms around you and know that His
hands are there helping you turn your feeble attempts
into true masterpieces.

Remember, God doesn't seem to call the equipped;
rather, He equips the 'called.' ( I LOVE THIS PART!!)

Life is more accurately measured by the lives you
touch than by the things you acquire.

So touch someone, May God bless You and be with you always

I thought this may bless someone today.

I went to a Gaither concert on Friday and it was positively GREAT.  This was a first for me.  I do have a lot of their videos to watch.  The concert started at 7 PM and lasted until 11:30 PM and everyone in the collisium sang along with them.

I am so glad to see Iain back.

A lot of new pictures are here!  Everybody is getting younger. :D  I need that camera to take my picture, too.

Pat...you look so good with your dearest one.

And, Marilyn, WOW.  You look sooooooooo young!  Is it your diet? or are you taking some special vitamin?

It's about 5:45 and I must get ready to leave work.  Still a few more things to do.

Iain - may I add my pleasure at seeing you post here once again. You have been greatly missed!

Jenny:  I am missing your photo on here.  Also, I am confused...you have posted many many times., and it dosen't show.  When I first saw your post on Sunday, I thought we had a new Jenny!...LOL

Etta Sue:  Thats is such a nice photo of you.  I agree with what someone else has said.... you and IvaLou do such fun things together.

Sooo, how did Jerry make out with cat-sitting "the girls"?  What is Inky up to these days?  Is she teaching Ali any new tricks?....haha., I love hearing about their antics.

Our area here in Ontario has been devastated with hearing news of a little 9 year old girl, who was abducted from her own bed.  Her little body was found Saturday.  We are praying that her killer(s) will soon be caught and brought to justice.

I am a great believer in Capital Punishment... what are your feelings about this?

Janet, thank you for your kind words.  God continues to be good to me every day.  We can all praise Him.
Ps 150:1-6

1   Praise the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens.
2   Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness.
3   Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre,
4   praise him with tambourine and dancing, praise him with the strings and flute,
5   praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals.
6   Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD.
(NIV)

Marilyn, I often hear what you say here that you are only as old as you feel.  Sometimes I respond, "Surely I'm not THAT old."  But you are right.  I'm still young at heart.  I swam my 20 laps this afternoon.

Papa John that is much better, seeing the swimming graphic rather than the old man. You are certainly young at heart, an Old man couldn't be able to swim and keep up with sweet Cornelia the way you do.

Kathy:No special Vitamins just a lot of them., a lot of veggies, God has been good to me I guess, in the photos you can't see the wrinkles.

HAHAHAHA!  Right now I'd have to have just a black and white photo as it's not natural to have green and shades of mauve on one cheek!  HAHAHAHA!  It's not that bad now but sore.

I have posted another lovely photo in"Signs of Spring"

I  have been trying to catch a cold for the last three days. So far it has slipped my grasp so I am using the Zicam nasal spray and lots of 1000 mg. Vitamin C. 2 every 4 hours. Maybe in the next day or two I can get a handle on it. ;D A bit of humor there (I think)

Sonja...I love that song "Above All"   We sing it a lot at Peoples.   I hope Pat has the music to it.

Iain....That little story about the monk is a good lesson.   God know exactly what we need.  Thank you.

Kathy...I enjoyed the piano story.   It is so true.  If we let Him, God will make beautiful music out of our lives that will be to His glory.   I have been to a number of Gaither concerts here in Toronto.   They are long but so wonderful!  I just love all the artists who participate.

Thank you Papa John for the wonderful scripture in your posts.

Enjoy the rest of the evening.   God Bless

Hi everyone I am so glad to read all these things today. It has been a tough, but good day. I am going through many things right now with my job that are good, but very challenging! I have accepted that the Lord is moving me out of my comfort zone to help me grow. It is a fun and exciting time when I keep my eyes on Him, but when I start looking at the circumstances, and how I am so like that little fella setting at the piano, it gets scary!

Iain and Kathy's devotions have filled my heart with courage, and :D I can hardly wait to get back to work tomorrow! Thank you folks for the blessing.

Liz and Ruth Ann, it's true, and I admit it. I am a Southern Gospel music addict, and I have been since a small child. I also like some Contemporary Christian music, and I love Praise music, but hands down, it's Southern Gospel for me. Makes me wish I lived down there with Ruth Ann. I have lived in Dickson Tn, and sang with some guys down there, but only briefly. We don't live far from Alexandria IN. Home of the Gaithers, but it is impossible to ever catch them at home....no wonder LOL!

Well bed time for me, bless you all.
