Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Morning Devotional...

And when He had sent them away, He departed into a mountain to pray.
Mark 6:46

After a long, busy day of service and feeding hungry people, the Lord Jesus came apart to pray.

What special moments He had in speaking with His Father! When the day was done He enjoyed communication with Heaven.

Since this was the experience of the Master, should it not be so for the servant?

Have you communicated with your heavenly Father today?
--Jim Paul

Here may we prove the power of prayer
To strengthen faith and banish care,
To teach our faint desires to rise,
And bring all heaven before our eyes.
Wm. Cowper

GOOD MORNING 10.07 AM in Holland

PAT thank you for the devotional this morning you are doing a lot work but know that you are every day in my prayers.

CHRIS thank you for your devotional
yesterday but it is true we are always praying for a lot people but we forget to pray for our pastors and they are also doing a lot work. My pastors have holidays because their children are going to school and the schools have holiday this week. Now they can go to their family.

It is so sunny in Holland our dogs are running outsite.

I have a cousin and she is married with a German and she is living in the South of Germany it is 9 hours with the train to go to here. But now she is in Holland and i am going to here to drink coffee because i will
seen her booth kids. She has a boy and a girl. But it so nice
booth kids i talk Dutch and they give answer in Dutch and when i talk in German they also talk in German.

My husband is hoping on a little bit warmer weather then he can go

   Search me, O God, and know my heart today;
Try me, O Saviour, know my thoughts, I pray.
 See if there be some wicked way in me;
Cleanse me from every sin and set me free.

                                                            Orr.

BLESSINGS AND PRAYERS

9.20 a.m. U.K.

Pat thank-you.I do hope you are feeling better today after that bad migraine.

I think it is meaningful that Jesus "sent them away".....they weren't going themselves...they were overjoyed to be at the Master's knee.
Sometimes we have to send people away, or close doors for a while as we re-evaluate our lives and come before God in prayer.

Ria.  It is a nice sunny morning here also.  A little bit warmer than yesterday. Glad your toe is much improved and you can feel more comfortable.  Geven mij Beste Wensen tot Ko, Marcel en Jan, alsjeblieft!

Sunday dog didn't sleep well last night and consequently neither did I.,as per usual she is now fast asleep!

The cats have eaten and gone off to hunt somewhere over the back near the allotments....ha ha!!!

The last of my wash is now drying happily on the line.  I managed to finish most of the ironing yesterday too...wow, about time!....I found Chris's missing Tee-shirt!!!

I heard on the news yesterday that Arnie has changed face and is now saying he will agree to gay marriages "if that is what the electorate" want.  How are the mighty fallen!!!  God is not mocked..He numbereth all our days!

The Anglican Church is also considering the same situation, please God, Divine intervention.

My Our Lord Jesus Bless all of you,
Love Jenny.

Pat

Welcome Regular Guy!! To CP!!!

Janet

WELCOME, REGULAR GUY, TO CP!!

Actually, we are all regular guys and gals here, so you will fit right in!  Come on in and tell us a little about yourself.

CONGRATULATIONS, TROY!!  We are all so proud of you for the great improvement you made in your swimming, and for getting your varsity patch.  Wear it proudly!

Ruthie, what a wonderful work you are doing with EE.  We will continue to pray for Anyolfi and his brother Moyses.  God bless your caring heart.

Hi, Ria!  We have snow today, mixed with rain!  YIPPEE!!  We need it so much and are so thankful to God for it.  The snow was really fluffy, but is melting really fast--no time to make a snowman.  ;)

PRAISE REPORT and prayer request:  Yesterday my friend Carol Ann called to tell me that she went in person to the area Social Security office (she lives in the same town) and talked to the District Manager, who is a friend of Carol Ann's.  She told her how bad off Beth is, that she really needs to get her disability, etc.  The lady told her to have me call, so I did, and I believe Charlotte is the answer to many prayers!  She told me what we need to do, and how to go about it, and promised to do all she can to expedite Beth's claim.  If we can get it done without involving the lawyer, that will save Beth money and time.  Please pray for Charlotte, and for the doctors to write the supporting letters needed for Beth's claim.  Beth is going to Guymon this morning to see her primary physician, I hope he will get his letter off TODAY.  Thanks, friends.

No swim today, pool is closed for staff training.

Jenny, don't overdo it with the laundry and ironing!

Papa John, I love it when one of your green posts comes up as I know there will be some very applicable verses for us in it.  Thank you so much.

Zachery, I think I need to borrow you for a couple of days to help me sort out some things on my computer.  How about it?   ;)

Good morning, Pat, Sarah, Ria, Jenny and Zachery.

Not to many on visiting.  ??? Where is everyone?

I great and am ready to start my day.

Jenny, glad you got all your chores done.  Ironing, what is that? hehehe..  ;) ;D

QuoteBy Ria~Search me, O God, and know my heart today;
Try me, O Saviour, know my thoughts, I pray.
 See if there be some wicked way in me;
Cleanse me from every sin and set me free.

Thanks Ria for this wonderful poem.  Amen!

I hope it gets warm so your husband can go fishing too.

I also think we tend to forget about the Pastor and his family.  Thanks for the reminder.

Last night I tried out my camera.  I took about 45 pictures with it.   It is going to take some getting used to but I think I can handle it and will enjoy having all the new settings.

I went to the swimmers award banquet yesterday and took some pictures.

Hi Jerry!!!  I miss seeing you in here.  How's it going?  Do you still have bubba?  ;D

Welcome Regular Guy!  Come on in and tell us about yourself.  :D

Pat,

Yesterday, Troy and I were having a and Troy went running after me towards the van and he slipped and slammed into the back of it and then under it.   :o  Talk about my heart jumping out of my body.  He is ok. He laughed about the whole thing.  <note to self~don't throw snowballs and run at the same time> ;D

Zachery wants to go to Walmart this morning to get a few toys, so I better get ready to go.

Talk with you all later.

And all the colors you can make up. You just use the tools they give you on this site and stick in the color that you want. It is that simple to do. the hard part is trying to figure out which colors to put in.

Hi everyone.

Janet, so glad to hear the positive news regarding the SS Disability for Beth.  My sister-in-law was approved for SS Disability without having to hire a lawyer and without being denied on her first application so know that it can happen.  I will continue to pray for Beth that this happens soon.

Welcome, Regular Guy.  I look forward to having you participate with us.

Zachery, what type of toys do you particularly like?  My wife bought a new game called UNO Attack before we went to Florida.  Unfortunately we never found time to play it while we were there.  It is a bit like the old UNO card game but has a machine that may or may not shoot out one or more cards when you can't play.  It has some unique features.

Jenny, that ironing sounds like a whole lot of work.  My wife has a few things that require ironing but not too many.  She does use her iron often with her quilting projects.  She is now taking some watercolor classes.  The first class was yesterday and she seemed to enjoy it.

Marilyn, glad your test went well yesterday and do hope you will be able to visit with Nita and Jane later this year.  Jane attended a SeniorNet Bash we had here in Atlanta several years ago.  We had a great time at the Bash didn't we Jane?

Sarah, please keep that rain and snow out your way and don't send it to us here in Georgia.  It is cloudy today but suppose to hit 70.

Sonja, I liked the pictures of Troy at the awards banquet that you posted.  Were those pictures taken with your new camera?

Ria, hope you have a great visit with your cousin.  Family is so important and the years go by so quickly.  I liked your little dog graphic and also liked the other little graphics in the postings today.

Pat, your devotional for today fits very well with the story that JudyB posted yesterday on the power of prayer.

Praise Him! Praise Him!
(Click to hear music)

"I will praise the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live." Psalm 146:2

Words: Fanny Crosby, in Bright Jewels, by William Bradbury, Howard Doane, William Sherwin & Allen (New York: Biglow & Main, 1869).
Music: Chester G. Allen

Praise Him! Praise Him! Jesus, our blessèd Redeemer!
Sing, O Earth, His wonderful love proclaim!
Hail Him! hail Him! highest archangels in glory;
Strength and honor give to His holy Name!
Like a shepherd, Jesus will guard His children,
In His arms He carries them all day long:

Refrain

Praise Him! Praise Him!
Tell of His excellent greatness.
Praise Him! Praise Him!
Ever in joyful song!

Praise Him! Praise Him! Jesus, our blessèd Redeemer!
For our sins He suffered, and bled, and died.
He our Rock, our hope of eternal salvation,
Hail Him! hail Him! Jesus the Crucified.
Sound His praises! Jesus who bore our sorrows,
Love unbounded, wonderful, deep and strong.

Refrain

Praise Him! Praise Him! Jesus, our blessèd Redeemer!
Heav'nly portals loud with hosannas ring!
Jesus, Savior, reigneth forever and ever.
Crown Him! Crown Him! Prophet, and Priest, and King!
Christ is coming! over the world victorious,
Pow'r and glory unto the Lord belong.

Refrain

Small groups was great last night.  There were only 6 of us there and we discussed "The Passion of the Christ".  It is great having a pastor as our leader.  He is so knowledgeable.  Great to have someone to ask questions and he knows the answers.

Janet ~ That is great that you are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel about Beth's disability.  A long time coming and should never have been that long.

Soni ~ Great that you got your new camera!!!  I really don't see how your photography could get any better but....

I know I will miss many, many of you so I will stop while I am ahead.

Quotefrom Larry:Marilyn, glad your test went well yesterday and do hope you will be able to visit with Nita and Jane later this year.  Jane attended a SeniorNet Bash we had here in Atlanta several years ago.  We had a great time at the Bash didn't we Jane?

Yes, I have been to several SeniorNet Bashes, Larry...all of them super fun!  There seem to be a lot of Seniornetters in Oregon and Northern California, so they are planning to get together here in Coos Bay next month.  Nita has already reserved a private dining room at the Ramada Inn so we are all set and awaiting their arrival!   There is still time for all y'all to come too, y'know?    ;D
