JennyW: Hello Janet! I check every day. I wish everyone would get going again! I miss seeing pictures and reading posts! 2025-01-24, 06:54:04

Janet: Hello, Friends!  Let's get this going again!  I miss  hearing from all of you! 2025-01-23, 19:26:16

Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Carol: My husband Don is with the angels.....Our family was able to hold  ourselves together for the last moments.  Juar rhoufhr you might want to know. 2022-04-29, 23:35:15

Hi to all and a big welcome to all newcomers while I was away.

Janet, I just posted a message to you on SN--loved your post on the movie --You said just what I wanted to say.

Been very busy, corporate taxes are due on March 15th and I am busy with them.  Also had a touch of something or other --probably stomach flu or maybe good old fashion spring fever.

New Jersey has been so very warm --50's and 60's --but then I go to Penna. on weekends and tread through a foot and half of snow.  I still have a lovely ice bridge across our stream in back for the deer.  Had to be over a dozen wandering around last weekend.

Going to check around forum--talk to you later if I get a chance.

Take care and as always,

Love in Christ,
Joyce

Hello everyone!!!

Jane, I have a question for you.  (This will show how slowly my brain actually works sometime).  Several days (a week or so maybe) ago, you (I think it was you) posted that your pastor was getting married (your weren't at the wedding) and there were people upset in the church.  Was this Bev's husband???????  Or have I, in my craziness, just combined three people's posts into one?

I ask because as I was driving to work this morning, I was thinking, "Why would a pastor getting married cause a problem?"  If you don't want to answer this, you can PM, but don't feel bad about correcting me in public.   I just want to make sure I've got my stories/situations/people straight.

Heard and interesting quote by Thomas Jefferson this morning.  "Any government big enough to provide everything you need is big enough to take everything you've got."  ouch.

The other day I saw a bumper sticker, the light turned before I could read all of it, but the first part was, "We are not human beings seeking spiritual experience"  and I wonder if the last half was "we are spiritual beings having a human experience."  Just food for thought.

I'm at work (yea, right) so I"ll be in and out!

Mr.Larry I like to play video games and play with bayblades. those are the only things I like to play with. There is nothing else i Like, unless something new comes out that I think will be fun.
Yesterday I was taking pictures off the beyblades so I can show all of you. they are really fun!!

Me and mom are going to go shopping now so see you all in an hour or so!! love you all

Have a nice day!

Yes, Karma, that is Ron, Bev's husband.  He was married Sunday, Feb. 29.  There have been many sad and confusing things happening at our little church since Bev died in Sept.  This wedding is only the latest.  It isn't the fact that Ron got married (he can do whatever he wants--and does), but the idea is that he is a pastor and should be more concerned about caring for his "sheep"... the sheep are scattering and the shepherd is busy with other things.   :-\

Wisdom from A W Tozer.

It's a true saying ..you cant buy experience! :)

Hearsay

And they said to one another, "Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?" --Luke 24:32

"It is one thing," said Henry Suso, "to hear for oneself a sweet lute, sweetly played, and quite another thing merely to hear about it."

And it is one thing, we may add, to hear truth inwardly for one's very self, and quite another thing merely to hear about it....

We are turning out from the Bible schools of this country year after year young men and women who know the theory of the Spirit-filled life but do not enjoy the experience. These go out into the churches to create in turn a generation of Christians who have never felt the power of the Spirit and who know nothing personally about the inner fire. The next generation will drop even the theory. That is actually the course some groups have taken over the past years.

One word from the lips of the man who has actually heard the lute play will have more effect than a score of sermons by the man who has only heard that it was played. Acquaintance is always better than hearsay. The Root of the Righteous, 99-100.

"Lord, as I wait upon You this morning I want to hear afresh the real sound of the lute. Deliver me from second-hand preaching and teaching. Fill me with a first-hand knowledge of You, so that my message might always be that of an alert eyewitness. Amen."

Al Moak

Chris - I desire to pray that prayer with Mr. Tozer.  Oh Father, move to preach Your love because I experience it.  Amen!

Yes, Lord.  Let our witness be because of hearing from You directly.  One touch, and we are forever changed.  Lord, may my "witness" be simply You living Your Life in me.

We had wonderful sunshine yesterday, but it's rainy again today.  Marilyn and Al.....is it raining there still?   I'm very ready for Spring.....everything in its time.....but I'm just looking forward to warmth and color all around me. :)   God makes good things!  :D

My computer/phone line problem is resolved!  And it wasn't my computer at all.  Simply that one of my extension lines.....the one I didn't check.....was bad.  The repairman disconnected my upstairs line, and everything is perfect again.  He didn't even charge me.

Fedex just delivered a book I'd ordered from Seedsowers.com.  It's called Christ Before Creation by Gene Edwards.  I'm looking forward to reading it.   He also has one that was released March 1.   It's title is The Day I Was Crucified, By Jesus, The Christ.  After seeing The Passion, I want to read this book also.  I DID see The Passion after thinking I might not be able to see it.  I cried through most of it, and am still in a state of "skin inside out" brokenness.  My daughter saw it with me, and she is feeling the same way.   If He would go through this for me......  it simply breaks me.

Joyce, your deer must be so beautiful.  I know you enjoy your view...even having to travel that far to work.

    love, nita

JENNY, no, I haven't gone away again.  It seems like we stay pretty busy every day.  Today I had a dentist appointment for a filling.  One hour and $118.00 and it was done.  The dentist is a very active Christian as well as a personal friend.

Today we had our big grocery shopping.  Seniors get an extra 10% off on all they buy the first Wednesday of every month at Krogers and we do our big grocery shopping.

We are getting ready to go to our Wednesday night prayer meeting where we have prayer and Bible study.  We are beginning a new series of lessons in our class tonight taught by our preacher, Chris.  Anyone who would like to take a peek at some of the pictures I made at the couple's retreat can go to my Web Shot's page and it is the first album.  I believe Christ and his wife, Vicki, are in the second picture.

Every morning we watch the local news on TV.  It is so sad because there are robberies, shootings, murders, and terrible things which happen every night.  Cornelia said one day recently,  "All these bad things happen in our city every night and we sleep quietly in a quiet neighborhood where we seem to be safe and do not have all these things."  I thought of a passage I am sure you are familiar with:

1Thes 5:5-8
5   You are all sons of the light and sons of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness.
6   So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be alert and self-controlled.
7   For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night.
8   But since we belong to the day, let us be self-controlled, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet.
(NIV)

I hope each of you have a peaceful and quiet night tonight.

Thanks, Papa John.  what a lovely scripture.  :D
I also looked at your webshots.  Looks like you had a great time and met lots of great folks. Thanks for sharing.

I am going to hang out with my kids for awhile before I head to the dance studio.  Have a good night folks.

Janet

I feel as if I've been through the wringer today!  Many phone calls from Social Security and Beth's doctors; but we are making great progress, and Charlotte said she is sure we can get this resolved.  I told her she is an answer to prayer---and she is!  I told her I am asking God's blessing on her, and she said just to pass on something good to someone else, that is all the reward she wants.  Sounds like a Christian to me, wouldn't you say?

I'm going to watch a couple things on TBN then go to bed and read a while.

God bless all of you.

Janet, it is so good to hear hopeful news about Beth.  Just proves once again, doesn't it, that our God is in charge?

With another day getting to 50 degrees, it's surprising how much bare ground is showing!   :)  Maybe tomorrow I'll get a chance to take a picture of it before it snows again on Friday.  :-\

I will soon be going to Bible Study. I am the last to go since we are on the west coast and the last of the time changes. I don't think I will be getting on here after I get home as it will be almost 9i pm when I get here and time for the dogs togo out and for me to get ready for bed.  Not that I am going to sleep that  early, I'm not.

So I will see y-all tomorrow.

Until then ta ta

WOW I'm the only one here at the time.HHHHMMMMMMM.... I wonder where everyone else are at???
;D
Ms.Jenny,I have spent my own money.HEHE  I spent $43.00, out of $267.00, so 267.00 - 43.00 =       $224.00 my next pay check is $190.00 so add $224.00 + $190.00 = $314.00 so one more pay check after that!  Not to long! ;D

I went to wal-mart and bought five bay blades and one dual launcher  it will be fun! I allredy put them together and played some so I can't wait to go to my friends house and battle his bey blade against mine. He had his bey blade since september though. He got it forr his b-day.

Thank you Janet for praying for Anyolfi.   I will find out if he went to the youth meeting tonight, and if he did I hope he had some fun.    I think there would be games and Bible Study and food etc.   That is important to draw young people back.    God Bless
