JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Morning Devotional...

Who his own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
1 Peter 2:24

"Our sins"; what a horrible thought for contemplation!

Think of the vast accumulation of impure thoughts, of unrighteous deeds and of unkind and dishonest words.

Vast as they are, we rejoice today to be assured that our glorious Saviour has borne them all "in his own body on the tree". In His death, He took full responsibility for our sins and answered perfectly to God for them all.

Are you personally resting on Him for your eternal salvation?
—G. Hall

Rise, My Soul! Behold 'Tis Jesus
(Click to hear music)

Author:  J. Denham Smith, 1817-1889
Musician:  Psalmodia Sacra Gotha, 1715

Rise, my soul! behold 'tis Jesus,
Jesus fills Thy wond'ring eyes;
See Him now in glory seated,
Where thy sins no more can rise.

There, in righteousness transcendent,
Lo! He doth in heav'n appear,
Shows the blood of His atonement
As thy title to be there.

All thy sins were laid upon Him,
Jesus bore them on the tree;
God, who knew them, laid them on Him,
And, believing, thou art free.

God now brings thee to His dwelling,
Spreads for thee His feast divine,
Bids thee welcome, ever telling
What a portion there is thine.

In that circle of God's favor,
Circle of the Father's love,
All is rest, and rest forever,
All is perfectness above.

Blessed, glorious word "forever!"
Yea, "forever!" is the word;
Nothing can the ransomed sever,
Naught divide them from the Lord.

Oh, well.  I am back!!!

Jim

Good morning everyone...  I'm about to wake up my grandaughter and get her ready for church.  I'll be taking her home today, so will probalby have more time to visit with you guys after that! :)

Larry Hanna

Welcome home Etta Sue.  We have missed you but knew where you were.  I also experienced some of that rain while Pat and I were in Florida a few days, espeically on the day we drove home.  Florida is a nice place to visit but am glad that I live in Georgia.

Our next door neighbor was moving all day and until late into the night yesterday.  I understand they have purchased their own home as this house next door was a rental for them.  They were nice neighbors so I hate to see them leave.  Earlier in the week another neighbor, who lives three houses down across the street moved to Macon, Georgia as her husband is the new manager of the Lowe's Home Supply store there.  So we will be getting some new neighbors.

Pat, that was indeed a terrible situation with the little girl.  We have had a couple of similar cases here in Georgia.  It staggers my imagination to do such a horrid thing.  Al, I thought your explanation was right on as this is certainly beyond man's comprehension.

Sonja, congrats on your 1st prize but I am sure that the good you all are contributing to the community outweigh the prize.  Still nice to come in first.  It was nice of you to donate your prints.

Pat, a good devotional this morning.

tolovemoon, that was quite a photo you posted yesterday.  One of those you can look at a long time and still see different things.

Welcome Corleyman to CP.

Tbear, hope today finds you and your husband improved and the fever gone.

Judy, sure hope your back is feeling better today.  I have been very fortunate in my life not to experience back problems beyond a few twists or slips and then a weak back for a few days.  However, this has been very rare.

Janet, I have to chuckle when I read that Abby is busy planning your life, such as another visit to her school.  She obviously loves to be in your company and that is so wonderful.

It will soon be time to head for church this morning.  Not sure I am going to try to go to Sunday School as am having one of the "tired" periods that seem to plague me from time to time.  I do want to go to the Worship service and do my part in the choir this morning.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Marilyn

Good  Morning Pat, Larry, Sonja, Etta Sue and Jim. You have all been here before me.

Etta Sue so glad that you are back home safe and sound and that you enjoyed your holiday away from home.

Larry Too bad I can't come to Georgia and be your neighbor.  ;D

Pat great devotional this morning as always. Hope all your pain has subsided by now. How are you doing anyway.
A question for you, if we have posted a photo in the challenge on PC should we NOT post it here until the challenge is over? Hey I just reailzed that CP and PC. 8) cool.

Sonja Congratulations on your first place. I hope your prints bring a good amoung of $$ for the charity.

Jim Aren't grandaughters great? I need to spend more time with mine. Some I don't see at all,  only have the one close by that I can visit with.

Must get ready for church now  have to be there at 8:30 for a hour of prayer.

Good morning - how precious to be able to sleep for 8 straight hours without pain!

I feel refreshed and ready to head to church. In fact, need to eat, dress, and head out the door.

Y'all have a wonderful day - it's supposed to be in the low 60s today in Nashville and then by Tuesday, possibly snow showers -- a-g-a-i-n!

Pat, you're in my prayers. Judy, you, too.

Wonder how Shawnee is doing with her new little one...

Well, had a wonderful sunday here.  Preached at the international fellowship.  Had several good comments about it.  Tuesday here in Belarus is Women's day, and today (I think) was for honoring Mothers.  Preached on one of the great women in the Bible, her name means "Bee"  I won't tell you which, you'll have to figure it out.

I caught a bit of a cold/flu friday, so I'm trying to get recovered from that today.  I was on medicine today, so the preaching was all God's doing.  I'm just he's faithful in our weakness.

We've had a ton of snow since friday.  I felt sorry for the lady who shovels our courtyard.  It's a non-winning battle.
A watched clock never boils.

March 6

Pastoral Ministry: A Good Husbandman

Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where
I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You
loved Me before the foundation of the world.
--John 17:24

I believe that a pastor who is content with a vineyard that is not at
its best is not a good husbandman. It is my prayer that we may be a
healthy and fruitful vineyard and that we may be an honor to the Well
Beloved, Jesus Christ the Lord, that He might go before the Father
and say, "These are mine for whom I pray, and they have heard the
Word and have believed on Me." I pray that we might fit into the high
priestly prayer of John 17, that we would be a church after Christ's
own heart so that in us He might see the travail of His soul and be
satisfied....

The church should be a healthy, fruitful vineyard that will bring
honor to Christ, a church after Christ's own heart where He can look
at the travail of His soul and be satisfied.  Rut, Rot or Revival:
The Condition of the Church, 112,119.

"Lord, I long that Jesus Christ might indeed be satisfied with my own
life and the lives of those whom He has called me to lead. Help me to
be a faithful husbandman in whatever vineyard You place me. Amen."

How was your church service today?  Ours was good, and there were several people there who had been "among the missing" lately, so that was good as well.

We had a great visit with our kids and grands yesterday.  We are so blessed to live near enough to go see them any time we want, and that they are always happy to see us, too.  Abby didn't think we should come home, she wanted us to stay and go to her church today.

Yes, Larry---Abby would like to plan my life, and that plan would be for us all to live together!  I told her that wouldn't work, and she wanted to know why not?  We all love each other, she said.  My answer was yes, and I want to keep it that way! ;D

Darrel isn't feeling too well today.  As he was walking toward the car to go to church, he started throwing up!  (Yuck.)  But he went to church anyway, and hasn't had any more episodes of that.  Hope it was just the banana he ate that caused it.  He said his stomach didn't feel so good before he ate the banana.........so probably should have passed on it.

I want to finish up the framing I've been doing.  I have it all finished except for putting on the hanging wires and figuring the bills.  So it shouldn't take me very long.

We are having such beautiful weather here just now---seventy degrees!!  ;D ;D ;D  Next week---who knows?

See you folks later!

Our church sercvice was wonderful. The praise and worship was very lively, and very honoring to God. We have a new worship Pastor who is a professional musician who wa in Andre Crouch's band for years way back when it all began. He also taught Sunday school.

The man I had the conversation with in K-Mart the other day was there this morning and that is a good sign.

No work today Fay gave me the day off and I have been cutting pieces for another quilt, this on is going to go on the back seat of the car.

GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS
(Click to here music)

Piano Solo for easy listening

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
There is no shadow of turning with Thee.
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not;
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.

Refrain:
Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is Thy Faithfulness, Lord unto me.

Summer and winter and spring-time and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above
join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

Refrain

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thy own dear presence to cheer and to guide,
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!
