Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Morning Devotional...

He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor.
2 Cor. 8:9

How rich was our Lord Jesus Christ!

How poor He became!

We cannot comprehend it anymore than we can comprehend how poor we were and how rich we have become. He descended from the heights and we ascended from the depths.

The price He paid was His own precious blood shed and thus He imputed His righteousness to us and admitted us into His palace of glory. Beloved, here is the infinitely rich One who became infinitely poor so that we can be infinitely rich.

Surely this is cause for worship.
—M. Haack

Down from the splendour of His everlasting home,
Came the Lord of Glory for our guilt to atone;
Son of God Eternal, He the sinner's surety stood,
Paid the sinner's ransom in His precious blood.

DOWN FROM HIS GLORY
(Click to hear music)

Down from His glory, ever living story,
My God and Savior came, and Jesus was His name;
Born in a manger to His own a stranger,
A man of sorrows, tears and agony!

Chorus
Oh how I love Him!  How I adore Him!
My breath, my sunshine, my all in all!
The great Creator became my Savior,
And all God's fullness dwelleth in Him!

What condescension, bringing us redemption,
That in the dead of night, not one faint hope in sight,
God gracious, tender laid aside His splendor,
Stooping to woo, to win, to save my soul!

Chorus
Oh how I love Him!  How I adore Him!
My breath, my sunshine, my all in all!
The great Creator became my Savior,
And all God's fullness dwelleth in Him!

Without reluctance, flesh and blood His substance,
He took the form of man, revealed the hidden plan;
O glorious myst'ry sacrifice of Calv'ry!
And now I know He is the great "I AM"!

Chorus
Oh how I love Him!  How I adore Him!
My breath, my sunshine, my all in all!
The great Creator became my Savior,
And all God's fullness dwelleth in Him!

Anthony, I'm so happy to hear that you also enjoy looking at the temperature thingies like I do.  I really enjoy seeing what others are experiencing.

Talk to you after church.

Well it's 9:00am here in the U.K.  Just waiting for the carers to come to the house to give my mother a clean up and  then I am off to the prayer meeting.  I can't stay for the meeting afterwards, but I will be able to get to the evening meeting.

Thanks for the devotional Pat.  It is so easy to take for granted just what the Lord has done for us.  It is good to be reminded this morning.

From last night

Sue, it's good to see you posting last night.

Al, it's great that your church had such a good time of fellowship yesterday.  Sometimes it's nice just  relax together.

Janet, I can't imagine 103 degrees.  Well, that's not true, because we had record-breaking weather about 3 or 4 years ago and we went into the hundreds - I didn't get one wink of sleep all night.  I'm glad God has placed in the U.K. environment.

Pat, I'm driving over to your place today to make your car washing session a little easier

Marilyn, Care Providers work very hard indeed.  They seem to on all through the day.  God bless you in this work.  The care provider who comes to help with my mother is a Christian and she sings hymns to my mother and has a short time of prayer with her.  It is a great blessing.

Have a blessed day everyone.  See y'all later.

Anthony.

Anthony, that IS a great blessing, to have a Christian care provider..  I am praying for those who are caring for Beth.  Most are very kind and sweet, but some are not so.  Last night Beth called and said when they took her vitals, she had a fever.  I hope that clears up quickly.

I need to get ready for church now, and have a busy day, with a bridal shower at the church this afternoon, then going out to the cemetery later.  And of course, taking little Mieka out to see Beth!  ;)

God bless all here today.  Hi, JudyB!  Thank you for the emails and the prayers, I appreciate you so much.

Talk to you all later.

Well, my foot is swollen & painful this morning so staying home too - it will get better soon.  I just did too much standing yesterday.

Anthony:  So many times I don't write down things & I must have been reading someone else's post about a daughter  :-[  glad you set me straight.  Please forgive this air head.

Janet:  Keep that nasty letter & document everything happening with Beth.  I am concerned about your saying that some people are not being decent with her.  There are regulations in these matters.  Sorry for the see-saw messages that she has been getting.

Good Morning Everyone. It rained again last night, doesn't look like much though when I look out the window.

Our Sunday School teacher is out of town this week so I wonder who will be our teacher this morning. His wife runs the little coffee shop in the fellowship hall and I will take her job, I always am there to help her anyway. Seems I just can't stay out of the kitchen.  Friday night I tried to help with the clean up and  some of the family  told me it was their responsibility. OK so I got out of the kitchen.

See ya later.

As for the temperature thingy....I just looked at mine...and it said it was 97 degrees F.  Whew That is hot!!!  The temperature at my home page says it is only 83 degrees F.  But one of my outdoor thermometers says 100 degrees and the other says 97 degrees F.  I do know they said that this would be the hottest race day for decades!!  I believe it!!

My family is going back to the woods this evening for a weiner roast.  I have a Pound Cake in the oven to take back!  Ivalou said she has hot dogs and buns so we are set!

We had a good day at church today.  We are holding an open air meeting in the town centre next week so we stayed over for a prayer meeting after the service.  Tomorrow is a bank holiday in the U.K. and some of the church are going for a walk and they said you can push a wheelchair so I think I will go along.

Janet, we did have some  carers who were pretty hopeless, but after some problems with them I just sent them packing and social services were bound to provide some other carers.  The company we use now decided to use mainly one person to administer all of the care.  We are a lot happier than having a different one for every visit.  I do pray with you that Beth's carers will provide the help that she needs.  I trust that everything goes well at church today too.

Carol, don't even think twice about the mistake.  It's so easy to do when there are a few posts to read through.  I'm sorry to hear that your foot is so painful - the only thing you can do is rest it.  I hope things are better tomorrow.

Marilyn, you can come and clean my kitchen any time you want.  I would never kick you out :D  I trust that you had a good day at church today.

Etta Sue, that's the first cat I've seen to use loo roll.  Perhaps I can train Sammy to do the same.  I trust that your family meal went well.

Pat, You're sure having some good weather by you, we're just hoping that the rain will hold off for the bank holiday tomorrow.  I hope you had a good day today.

Well, I am off to bed.  Good night and God bless.

Anthony.

Thank you Anthony I did have a good day at church today the Sunday school lesson was on Spiritual warfare within our selves. Dying to self and coming against all those things that Satan throws at us that cause us to sin. It all comes from within ourselves and we are the ones who have to overcome them, with the weapons God has given to us.

I will be going back to church shortly for our 120 prayer meeting. It is called the 120 because Pastor Danny  is speaking those things that be not as though the are by calling forth 120 prayer warriors to be in the weekly prayer meetings. We have 53 members in the church about 30 show up for prayer meeting. Why 120 you ask? 120 was the amount present in the upper room.

Carol I am sorry to hear about your foot. I know how you mist feel. Once I had my foot broken in two places along with my ankle at the same time. I had to wear a soft cast and stay on crutches for 6 weeks. I could take the cast off at night as long as I didn't walk  with out it.

Hi, friends,

It's been a rainy day here in Nashville. I enjoyed our worship service this morning - currently the church is going through the 40 days of purpose and what a good sermon our pastor brought!

I ate lunch with some of my widowed friends and then came home intending to read - well, the book ended up being unused while I slept a good long nap.

Y'all have a good evening.

The weiner roast in the woods went really well.  There was between 15 and 20 of us....too much food.  It was very comfortable under the trees with a beautiful breeze.  But when that sun goes down, it is dark back there.  Just like turning the light swith off.  Black!

I had to call earthlink again.  This time it seems my email address in my Address book disappeared.  I got them back and also asked why I had a window pop up after clicking to check for mail that was titled 'Earthlink Password Failure'.  Well, I had two ettasue9842 email accounts.  I didn't put them there but everytime I checked for new emails, it didn't know which account to check.  I deleted one of them and now things are much better.

That's two things that was earthlinks fault!  Grrrrrr!

Ruthie

It has been hot today here in Canada and will be again tomorrow.  Feels like SUMMER is here already.  I have people living in my basement who are from Mauritius.   This island is very hot and so they will love the hot weather this week.   Hope everyone is doing good.

Janet I will be praying for Beth that people who have love and compassion will surround her.   God bless

Janet

Hello again.  Been another busy day, and my sister and bro-in-law from Nebraska are here tonight.  They had a family reunion in Walsh, Colorado, and came on here to visit Beth and Mom....and us.

Poor Beth, I wish there were something I could do to make things easier for her.  Yesterday evening, she needed the bathroom, put on her call light and had to wait an hour for help, so she had an accident.  The girls griped her out because she was wet!  She told them she was sorry, that she knew they were busy, she used to work there, and now the shoe is on the other foot and she is the one needing help.  But she said, she held it as long as she could.........Grrrrr.  They should come sooner!

Thank you all for your kind words, and please continue to pray.  I am praying that the administrator's heart will be changed, or that God will remove her from that position.  Beth and I did that with several she has worked with in the past, and God never lets us down. And in the meantime, Carol, I am doing as you suggested, keeping papers and documenting things.  If we have to go to the board, then so be it.  We are all praying that she will let her light shine, even there where she doesn't want to be, and that she will have peace and contentment.  I try to put on a happier face around her, so my irritation about things won't make her more discontented than she already feels.

Hi, Ruthie!  It's really hot here, too.  And the wind has been blowing about 50 mph.  It was anything but fun trying to put flowers on the graves today.  >:(

I must get to bed.  Supposed to be there to pick Beth up at 7:30 AM to go to Boise City.  I hope the day goes well.

God bless!
