Marilyn, I keep a small stretchy pair of driving gloves tucked into my briefcase, for if I have to park out in the sunshine, the steering wheel burns my hands, as well. finally I decided if the gloves could allow me to drive when the weather is so cold I can't bear to touch the steering wheel, maybe they would do the same in the summertime. I think I paid $1.98 for them at K-Mart.

Now, if you could just bottle up some of that warmth and spread it around to some of the rest of us, we just might be willing to pay a small sum for it! Imagine, Marilyn getting rich and cooling off at the same time!

Good suggestion, Ruth Ann!  I never thought of using gloves in hot weather!  We could sure use some of Marilyn's heat!

Just got this in an email..

I am a very nervous flyer. During a trip from California to Indiana, it didn't help that my connecting flight from Denver was delayed twice because of mechanical problems.

Then, after we were aloft, I noticed the lights began flickering. I mentioned this to a flight attendant. "I'll take care of it," she said. Moments later the lights went out. Clearly she'd solved the problem by turning off the lights.

A passenger across the aisle who had been listening leaned over and said, "Whatever you do, please don't ask about the engines."

A very long drive today and we waited at the hospital area only to find out that Don's hand surgery is to be cancelled once more.  Now we don't know the date at all - the hand surgery only gets two days per month for operating room.  This is Veteran's Hospital and they do have massive problems - they operate on such a tight budget and do the best they can.

I enjoyed all of the comments about the daily devotion and it really makes a person stop and consider how we pray.

We had another good bible Study tonight on Gods words and praying God's words., beliving what we are praying and speaking to the mountain. The Bible says that we have not because we ask not. Jesus said that when we pray to believe that we have what we ask without a doubt and it will be done for us by our Father in heaven.  Good study. Well I am off now to catch up here then go to bed. it is still hot at 91 F.

Marilyn, you have reminded me (not that I needed it) of why I live in Western North Carolina and NOT California or Arizona or anywhere in the great Southwest.   Those temperatures are unnatural.  I would melt!!  (or at least keep a headache all the time)

Pat that was a funny email you got!  hahahaha...I also like your profile picture.  I am so confused now.  Lets see if I can confuse all of you with a different one.  hmmmm....
