Morning Devotional...


A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.
Proverbs 16:9

Our "way" in life is a broad term, governed by principles relative to lifestyle, stewardship, and decision-making.

But these are general things.

Life itself comes down to steps. That is where the Lord comes in, directing step-by-step in our daily experience. Thank the Lord He even overrules our own heart's devisings.

We make our imperfect plans and it is then that the Lord opens and closes doors, creates and nullifies opportunities.

We are able to see the hand of God in our lives on a regular basis--a most faith-strengthening experience!

also the little poem yes it is true it is better for us to lay a hand in the Hand of our Lord just as a child that is doing with us.

MARYLIN i also must take care others i make a trip over my own feet. My son Marcel say always you there is coming a time then you make a fall over a very little stone and i think he has right.

CHRIS AND MARGIT i wish you a safe and a very nice trip. But i keep you booth in my prayers but i shall miss your writings.

LARRY and a view others have say i must in wraps but it is true. I have been to the doctor this morning
and now i have a bandage on my right foot. The next monday i must coming back and i may not a lot walk on that foot. It is my right foot so now i have had my booth feet. From my left foot is the nail away and now my right foot but i say it is a great wonder that i not have something broken till
this moment. :(

Preaching: Starving at the Father's Table

So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon,
son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?" He said to Him, "Yes,

There is today no lack of Bible teachers to set forth correctly the
principles of the doctrines of Christ, but too many of these seem
satisfied to teach the fundamentals of the faith year after year,
strangely unaware that there is in their ministry no manifest
Presence, nor anything unusual in their personal lives. They
minister constantly to believers who feel within their breasts a
longing which their teaching simply does not satisfy.

I trust I speak in charity, but the lack in our pulpits is real.
Milton's terrible sentence applies to our day as accurately as it
did to his: "The hungry sheep look up, and are not fed." It is a
solemn thing, and no small scandal in the Kingdom, to see God's
children starving while actually seated at the Father's table.

there are more and more churches where people are starving at
the Father's table. I sense the lack in our pulpits of which Tozer
speaks, and pray that You might bring a refreshing. Amen."

Thank you for your well-wishes for our much needed vacation.
We venture out with much anticipation to have God's favour for all our travel, our interactions with both family and friends and all the picture taking that we'll do along the way, pictures to the Glory of God, after all, that's our ministry.

We hope for a leisurely trip, after a few days in Eugene we'll be driving along the coast at our own pace, taking pictures where the Lord will lead us. 
We trust to just have a wonderful time with friends in Eugene and along the way to California and family in California.  While in Eugene, Oregon we also plan to visit my church, at least for a couple of visits.
Please keep our trip in prayer, we'll be doing a lot of driving and the flights are long.

I feel that I really ....need to get to know my guide ... Makes me realise that....... I don't spend enough time in God's word, I feel Christ's presents in my life but don't put as much time in to seeking Him as I should.

Hi everyone.  This will be short this morning but will try to get back here later today.  I have to leave in a few minutes to coach the class at the SeniorNet computer learning center.  This is week 4 of 8 weeks and we are teaching the use of the Quicken Financial software.

After church yesterday I had been invited to meet with the Deacons for their monthly meeting.  They feed me a nice lunch, which they have each month as they meet right after church.  I then talked with them about our church webpage for maybe 20 minutes and was able to leave and not sit through the meeting.

My sister called me to ask for help.  She is swollen up and hurting really bad; no idea why.  So I will be in town for a while, take her to the doctor, run errands, etc.  No time to read posts, but will when I get home.

Hello, all you wild and crazy people.  It's somewhat dreary around Western North Carolina today, but it's not a bad day.  Just a little cooler and rainier than it has been.

Trav has been slightly sickly over the weekend, probably the same crud Karma and I had, but I think he's getting better.

Good morning all!

Church was great yesterday.  Our Senior Pastor and wife is in Florida on vacation.  Our Minister of Adult Education...also the minister in our Small Group...preached yesterday.  A very heartfelt message. 

Jerry and I went out for breakfast and then to another home improvement store...prices are cheaper there so this will be where I get my landscaping supplies. 

Tony and Charlene came in the afternoon and brought his 4-wheeler and sprayer.  He sprayed my yard for weeds.....those pesky dandelions mostly!  They are so pretty but pesky!  It seems there are a lot of yards in this area that are full of dandelions!!  We had a great time visiting with Tony and Charlene...I am so proud of both of these kids....haha...43 and 44 years old!

It is cool in Indiana...only 49°.  I want to clean my deck but no way today!!!  Too cold to be spraying cold water.

Hello Everyone!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY RUTH
Things have been pretty busy around here-with school and now that our theme park is opened the kids want to go there alot lol. Last weekend we redid our flower bed in the front yard. It looks really nice now. Now I have the garden bug and want to plant more lol. My husband wants to put me in a room and put blinders on my eyes lol.
(just kidding).
Everyone is doing well here..
Well, need to go and get the kiddo's going with school.

Nice to see everyone today.  We haven't got much done today.  This morning we went out for awhile to take some things to the cleaners and to get the oil changed in the car.

I have started a new book, THE HORNET'S NEST by Jimmy Carter.  It is a novel of the American Revolution and I believe the only novel written by a former American President.

I am disturbed today by the horrible pictures of cruel mistreatment some Americans have evidently been guilty of in dealing with Iraqi prisoners of war.  This doesn't represent normal behavior of Americans but it brings shame upon our forces even though just a few are guilty.

Good thing I got a good night's sleep last night.  I expected to work about three hours today but ten minutes before I was expecting to leave I got a call from the girl I work with.  She's subject to migraines and had a real slam-banger and asked would I stay all day and cover for her.  So my three hours turned into eight and a half.   ::)

Yes, it is sad, and yes, it was only a very few people who did those things.  But the liberal media are having a heyday with it, and twisting it into all sorts of unrecognizable things to try to put the blame on President Bush.  I pray they will NOT succeed.

I don't know what is wrong with my sister.  They did blood and urine tests, hope they get to the root of her problems.  She is 7 years younger than me, but gets around like she is 20 years older.  She said she is so weak she can't pick up her grandbaby; she's afraid she will drop her.  Sad.
