Janet: Hello, Friends!  Let's get this going again!  I miss  hearing from all of you! 2025-01-23, 19:26:16

Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Morning Devotional...

And he (Saul) tarried seven days, according to the set time that Samuel had appointed: but Samuel came not to Gilgal.
1 Sam. 13:8

There are far too many "laid back" believers who are happy to let things
happen, and fail to stir themselves to be part of anything worthwhile for
God.

On the other hand we can be impatient, and this can lead to false moves. There is always some good reason for a delay, if it is in the divine plan. If only Saul had waited a few hours longer, Samuel would have arrived, and the monumental mistake of Saul assuming the priestly office and disobeying God would have been avoided.

Wait on the Lord today.
--Brian Russell

Ye humble souls in every strait,
on God with sacred courage wait;
His hands shall life and strength afford,
ye trembling saints, wait on the Lord.

Oh, I am glad I got my foot in the door before it was slammed shut on me!

Janet ~ Ali and Inky has been great company for me.  They are both good cats and don't get into anything or mess things up....usually.  If I do find anything out of place or moved, I know it isn't Ali.  She really doesn't get into much of anything.  But sometimes she will surprise me.  I hadn't heard that cat story before.  Really funny!!

JudyB ~ No, I don't want another cat.  I love them but I have to find someone to watch them/feed them/clean the litter box when I am away very many days.  I am stretching for four days being gone next week but I really think they will be fine.

Papa John ~ I called our friend Norm last Thursday evening.  It is really hard for me to meet someone up there for lunch or dinner because I am not in my car and we have to have the gentleman to his therapy Thursday afternoon and Friday morning.  We leave Grand Rapids by 11 a.m. Friday.  So the telephone will have to do.  I called Mary Ann once also.

Alma ~ Ali used to be a poser.  When I got the camera out, it seemed she posed for me.  For some reason she doesn't like my new camera.  I never use the flash on her so that isn't the reason.

Carol ~ Funny you should ask.  Next week I can't drive them to Grand Rapids.  The couple are 75 years young.  Nancy's mother is driving from Springfield, Ohio, and Nancy and her 91 year old mother is going to take turns driving to Grand Rapids.  I have copied maps and wrote out the route.  We will see.  Nancy still doesn't think she could get to my house and the route is only a mile and a half from my house.  So I drive 25 miles to their house and come within a mile and a half from here on the way to Grand Rapids.

Ruthie ~ Ali is orange...no doubt about it.  Not ginger.  Not pumpkin...But orange.  She is marked beautiful and the white is pure white.  If she looks like Rusty, then I know Rusty is beautiful, too.

Larry ~ First I was thinking, I will be in Ohio this Sunday...near Dayton for a few hours.  Maybe I could meet Larry and Pat somewhere.  Then I read where you are going to Lansing, MI, on Friday.  If you took I-69 up or if we took I-69 down, we might meet.  But I never know which way Nancy wants me to go.  So I will just say, safe traveling for you!

Marilyn ~ I will keep Willa in my prayers.

Anthony ~ I am praying that your day goes better tomorrow.  Those problematic days can get you down.

Ruth Ann ~ Sounds like you had a great evening of fellowship and sharing The Word with friends.  And an Amen for a good, moderately busy day at work.  We all need those kind.

I got a call from Nancy and Walter's appointment Thursday is at 11a.m.  It is a 6½ hour drive if we stop and eat.  So we are going to take the interstate instead and have our coffee and rolls from a convenient store somewhere and hope to make it in 6 hours.  That means I have to leave my house by 4:15 a.m!!!!  I am tired already.  But that should leave me time to try out the swimming pool up there!!

Etta Sue I love the little moving thingies that you have at the bottom of your pages.  They are fantastic and always a good reminder on the Christian life.  Thank you.

Pat the devotional is good and a reminder that John and I both need at this time.  I tend to be an impatient one wanting to go, go, go.  At this point of our lives John is content to wait.

It is 22*C out here this am,  At some time in the night I threw the sheet over me, must have been chilly.  Looks like another hot one is here.  Oh I do prefir this to the minus 40's we get in the winter.  This is much easier to take.  It is ao unusual though, snow a week ago and now the blistering heat.  Such extremes.

Well I am off for the morning, Be back later.

Carol

Devotions are so true today.  We are an impatient society.  Not taking time to study the situation and so forth - snap decisions.  Yet, I also believe that our lives are planned in many ways.

JudyB:  I always like to look at whatever Etta Sue has going on the bottom of  her pages too.  Just beautful.  Wish I could do some of those things.  I am much more patient than I have been - something is always slowing me down & in today's case it is this foot fracture.  I must need to be reminded a lot over my llifetime   ::) Thanks for your note - that was very kind of you to offer.   Hope that you don't get too hot over this summertime.

Anthony:  I hope and pray that your missionary friends have a good outcome to their concerns.  My cousin's only child (son) is missionary with family of five children in Uzbeckistan - they had property taken away & many things happen to the orphanage but still there - we all think they should leave & get the children out but they are staying put & low-profile.  Really don't know what could happen there so that is a great concern.

Etta Sue:  You certainly get to know the roads well.  Enjoy!!!

Carol

Al Moak

Well, we got over to Trinidad a couple of days ago, so I took some pix of the pier & harbor there.  I put them in my gallery.

Marbeth has had an EEG and and MRI, so I hope we'll know in a few days if there's any problems to deal with.  Thanks for prayers.

Well, Larry, hope you have a good trip and good visiting, though you probably won't see this 'til you get back.

Yesterday was supposed to be "mostly cloudy," but it was sunny all day.  Today through Friday includes the possibility for rain, but who knows.  It's partly sunny right now.

JudyB

Hey everyone  I just got a call from Melaura. ;D
She is soooo excited she has won an academic award!

I have been telling her she is smart!   :ticked:

Now maybe she will believe me!  :o

Now to find out what the awards are in!

Janet

Lots of weather discussions here today, so I will add mine.  After having 103 degree days, Memorial Day was really pleasant, yesterday cooler and cloudy, and today quite cool and breezy.  I like the cool better.  :)

Darrel and I are going to drive over to Libedral, he has a trouble call and I want to buy a gift for Curtis and Toni.  Their shower is on Sunday, so time is running out!

I went in early this morning and ate breakfast with Beth and Mom.  Beth got a shower, or whirlpool bath, yesterday and got her hair washed, so was feeling better.  They only bathe them 2 or three times a week.  She requested three.  Her hair gets very oily in only a day or two.  John will be arriving on June 10, so she is looking forward to that, then the trip to Nebraska for Family Reunion.

Anthony, hope you have a day in which everything goes great!

Ruth Ann, can you even imagine spending money for tailor made cat clothes?? :o  I can't!  I hope you are feeling better and better.  (((hugs)))

Etta Sue, I wish I were as confident a driver as you, and could find my way around like you do.  I admire that, and am sure the couple appreciate you.  Anyway, they should!  ;)

Carol, hope that foot is getting better fast!  Don't overdo it.

Pat, how are you today?  Less busy, I hope.  <3

JudyB, good for Melaura!  And you sure do stay busy, don't you?  I have never been able to sleep without bed covers, ever!

Howdy, Al.  I hope Marbeth's tests yieild good reports.

I need to get going, Darrel is ready to go!  I wish all of you a great day.

Thanks you so much for your prayers for my friend Willa. She is doing very well. I just spoke to her on the phone and she is going  home from the hospital today. She said she feels great and in no pain. They removed the whole breast , that was her choice, she did not want to have Chemo or Radiation.

Good Morning everyone, I only have a short few minutes before  go to Tai Chi class so I won't address everyone. I will get to the gallery and check out the photos later today. I am taking Leroy to the Dr. at the Indian Health Center this afternoon.

I mowed the grass yesterday and it sure looks great I need to get some grass seed and reseed parts that don't have enough or that are bare. I need to do my vacuuming when I get home today.

Hi to all who have been here and to all who will come later.

Take care and have a Blessed day.

Thanks for the devotional today Pat.  I'm still in a mad rush so just to say God bless everyone and I hope to have some more time later on in the evening.

God bless,

Anthony.

Etta Sue

Thanks for all the comments about my animations at the bottom of my posts.  Bet you never noticed that I have one for each day of the month...most of which I made myself.  It is fun.  I had time on my hands then...now I don't.

Today is my brother's birthday...71 today.  We (Ivalou and I) met Kaye Don, his wife, Barb, and grandson, Aaron, at a restaurant in Noblesville for breakfast.  Kaye Don went on to another town to get his truck worked on.  The rest of us went to a jewelry store to get my earrings that were being fixed, then to the Post Office for Barb to mail a letter to her granddaughter in Japan (Jenna is in the Navy) and I bought 2 capri outfits at a clothing store.  Then I took all of them home!

I about panicked because I noticed on my desk calender that I had 'To IU at 1:15p.m.' written on it for todfy.  I called Nancy and no we aren't going to I.U. today...that is next week!!!  Whew!

So now I am doing laundry!!!  And hoping for an early night tonight since I am getting up at 3:45 a.m.

Pat,
Thanks for the devotional. Many times for me, its hard to know when to act and when to hold back.  It's a good reminder that we need to desire God's will above our own when making these decisions.

Have a blessed day.

I shouldn't be doing this today but I have been playing with PSP and an old photo.

Here is the black and white photo.....

Amazing job on the photo Etta Sue.  It must have taken a long time to do all of that.  BTW, thank you for your prayer for a better day today.  The prayer was answered.

I had to sort some stuff out with the house yesterday and today that sort of rattled my nerves a bit, but it's more or less done now.  Sorry for the brief messages, but I have read everyone elses.

I just finished reading a little message about "Christ - the Strength of my heart"  Doesn't it seem to be the case that it is when we are at our lowest ebb that Christ shows Himself as our Strength.  I find these things to be wonderful.

Anyway, God bless all and will see you all tomorrow.

Anthony.

Janet

We are back home again.  It was SO nice to spend some time with Darrel today.  I've been doing so many things for Beth that he has been neglected, but he would never complain.  What a sweetheart he is.

We decided to get the kids a nice cannister set and a nice set of pots and pans for their shower gift.  I had previously bought Toni an album which has "Our Wedding" on the cover, and will add some papers, stickers, etc. to use in it.  Darrel also plans to give them some money.

When we got back to Abby's town, we picked her up and went to get something to eat.  Just wanted to see her!  ;)

I am going to attempt to see where my new photos are hiding on this machine.  See you later!

Good afternoon everyone. :)

QuoteI just finished reading a little message about "Christ - the Strength of my heart"  Doesn't it seem to be the case that it is when we are at our lowest ebb that Christ shows Himself as our Strength.  I find these things to be wonderful.

Anthony, yes that does seem to be the case.  How wonderful that we know our Lord will never fail us.  That is such a neat thought!  He reveals Himself as our Strength.  If I'm sad, He comes as my Joy.  If I need a place, He is my Hiding Place.  He is my Strong Tower.  If I'm confused, Jesus comes as Counselor.   He is truly Everything to us who believe.  <3

Yesterday was a busy day around here!  We accomplished(rather my son did...I just helped)all that was on the "list".  Then this morning Sue and I scattered seeds and put up the little white fence around the bed.  And now....it's lightly raining.  Isn't that perfect??  Thank you, Lord.

Congratulations to Melaura!!  Isn't it something how we can get a thought in our head....like her thinking she wasn't smart....and then it stays forver.  My mom, bless her heart, thought she wasn't smart.  I didn't know until not too long before she died, but she told me she never felt smart.  To me my mom was the wisest women I know.  I've always felt my mother was really smart.  She had a head for numbers, was well read, invested wisely, etc.  But in her eyes, she wasn't very smart.

I feel pretty smart.  I installed a new video card in this computer.  I'd never done that before. :)

Marilyn, I read somewhere else about how good you're feeling now that you're getting good sleep.  I'm sure glad to see that.  This sunshine seems to give me strength too. :)   Your place sounds so nice for you.  God is good, huh?

Janet, my daughter fell in love with your card....the one you sent with my print.  (the three girls arm in arm) She looked at the back, and that's the first time I knew it was of another of your paintings.  She wants my card now so she can get a small mat and save it.  lol   I guess I'll let her have it.  She'll fix a cute little place for it and display it with tenderness.  She's just that kind of lady.

Have a blessed rest of the day, y'all.  Nita

JudyB

Wow what a day everyone has had!  busy busy!

The girls decided they wanted to make supper, so here goes the lesson......they are good at following directions.  we are eating late, I have had a busy day.

Till later.

Carol

I had a neat happening.  Just tracked down two nieces who live in Ocean Shores, Washington.  One used to email me often but changed jobs & forgot the address.  So, I feel so good about this - I would have been closer but it is a long story about my brother divorcing and his attitude.   :(

Al:  Isn't it difficult to wait?  Waiting for MarBeth's test results...I am praying this minute for her.

JudyB:  Atta girl, Melaura

Janet:  I didn't realize that John was coming very soon.  That will get Beth's spirits up if nothing else.  You seem to have to drive for so many places, are you rural?

Marilyn:  My friend opted for both breasts removed when cancer was found in one - she did not want to go through chemo either.  She has been very healthy for a couple of years.

Pat:  How is everything going for you?  Are you getting out on some springtime hikes?

Well, this has been a day of tornado warnings.  Right now there is a lull so I turned on the computer just to post a message but I hear rumblings in the distance.

We've had three cells go through and heard on the news that they are now centred around Richmond Hill area just north of Toronto.  And there are more cells that could turn into tornados in the London area so I'm being very careful.  I've had my computer off and on so many times today.

I think I may just turn it off now for awhile.

Great news about Melaura, Judy!

And a great big "Hi" to everyone else.

Hello everyone. I have had a decent day even if it did rain  :-\.
Tomorrow  I have  my Bone Density test in Eureka and will go to Costco to get a couple of things like Bottled water and Dog Food.

Then on Friday I have to run Leroy all over Eureka. I asked if he was going to put some gas in my car and he said no. Well on the 15th I am giving him notice That  June 30 will be my last day with him.

Hi Nita, You read that on SN. Yes I do feel 100% different now that I am sleeping  better. Although I think I need to see the chiropractor as it feels like I am favoring my right leg and hip, my lower back must be out from that twisting it took a couple of weeks ago.

Way to go Melaura

Etta Sue you did a good job on the colorizing the old photo. 8)

Pat was CP down for a little while this afternoon? Neither Al nor myself could get on.

I didn't get anything done at home this afteroon It was almost 4 when I got here. Maybe tomorrow I will get it done before I go to work.

I am going to Bible Study in a little bit so I will sign off for tonight.
