Morning Devotional...But there is a friend... Proverbs 18:24
The Lord is the Christian's perfect friend--always understanding, always there through good times and bad, always forgiving, always loving.
Such a friend ought be our most prized relationship!
Oh, that we would long to spend time with Him daily, getting to know Him more intimately.
The more we understand of His love for us, the deeper our love for Him will grow in return.
--C. J. CairnsO Love divine, how sweet Thou art!
When shall I find my willing heart
All taken up with Thee?
I thirst, I faint, I die to prove
The greatness of redeeming love--
The love of Christ to me.
--Charles Wesley--
It's so good to see you, Cami Cutler, online. How are your eyes now? I've been praying for you.
Hi, Pat! Well, things are not nearly as fuzzy as they were, thank the Lord! How are you, and all the other CPers? You will never know how much you all have been missed! But, it is just something that happens every once in awhile, and, in Gods' time, most of the vision comes back! I'm still legally blind, and always will be, but I'm so grateful for the vision that I do have! Thank you all for your prayers; I really could feel them! Special thanks to Pat and Marilyn for your thoughts!
Love in Him,
Cami
HI Pat and Cami! Nice to see I am not the only one up in the wee hours of the night.
Cami it is nice to see you posting. You are in my prayers. Hope you have a good sleep.

Quote The more we understand of His love for us, the deeper our love for Him will grow in return.
is so true, Pat! I have been realizing this the past couple of weeks. I feel my relationship with Christ has grown more these past couple weeks then they have in the last 5 years. God is awesome!
Hi Everyone:
I went to a banquet tonight for "Partners International" They are a Christian organization that support Nationals in different countries of the world.
My friend Rev. Grover Crosby was the President for 16 years. He is involved in another capacity and is going to India tomorrow with 4 or 5 Pastors.
There was a man there who played the harp so beautifully. He was born in the jungles of Uraguay and became a Christian a few years because of missionaries.
The whole evening was awesome.
Love Ruthie ;)
Good evening, Ruthie What an evening you had. I love to listen to the harp. I am amazed that someone is actually able to play such a unique instrument. I am Glad you had a fun night.

The Lord bless all of you,
Jenny.
Ruthie - I remember Grover Crosby's wife coming to our church to speak to our ladies group. What's her first name? My memory is failing me (again)...my parents knew them well from Fair Havens...bet you know where that is!
- Judy Mc.
Good morning to you all.......sounds like it has been a very busy week or so for most of us here at CP...

Good morning, it's a chilly rainy day here in Nashville. I live in an old house with the old-style coil electric heaters built into the walls. For several years the heater in this office was broken, but some nice men repaired it for me last year.
I am chuckling as I watch my 17 year old kitty Noelle. She's sitting only abou 5-6 inches from the glowing heater, staring straight at it in puzzlement. Her ears are up high, she's not moving, and the tail is straight out behind her.
I'm certain she's as thankful as I am that this room is warm today. :)
Jenny, take care. Ria, I'm thankful to hear you're better. Sonifo - how great that you feel such a renewing of your spirit.
I can't mention everyone, but it's great to "hear" you speak each day.
Welcome to our new posters! I hope you feel as welcomed as you truly are. You'll enjoy the fellowship here.
Love to you all,
Ruth Ann
Good morning! It's 8:00 AM here in Kansas, and I am ready to tackle the day! We are getting back to the tile laying job again, so will be working hard today!
Janice!! How wonderful to see you back! I have been thinking of and praying for you, had even asked Pat a few times if she had heard anything from you. I do hope you and Earl both feel better, and that you will be able to post more often. We really miss you when you are away.
Cami, good to have you back, too. I'm so sorry about your eye problems, I know that must be so frustrating to you.
Lee, I didn't understand your post, either. Are you sure someone wasn't just teasing you? Stick around, brother, we need your unique perspective on things! And we all love you, even if we do enjoy picking on you sometimes! ;)
Sonja, I am trying to remember your eyes and make things easier for you to read! Love you, girl!
I want to share something with you today about the goodness of God. Yesterday, we got a call from the lady who booked our trip to Honduras. (We are going in January.) She had booked our airline tickets from Dallas to Roatan with Sol Air; and they had called and canceled ALL flights!! :-\ >:( :'( We had already bought our tickets from Amarillo to Dallas online, from Travelocity, on Delta. She told us to see if we could get them canceled, get a refund, or what........so........I called Travelocity, and the man I spoke to said there would be a penalty of $80 to $260 for any changes; or we could just throw away the $260 we had paid for them and buy new tickets! But then he put me through to the re-issue agent. While I was on hold, waiting for the call to be transferred, I was praying for favor with whoever answered the call, and that the money would not be wasted! She asked me if she could help me, and I said I really hoped so! I explained the problem, and after checking, she said "well, these tickets are refundable, so why don't I just send this down to our refund department, and it will be credited back to your credit card. WOW!! I was so excited! I told her "Thank you! God bless you! You have made my day!!" I could hear the smile in her voice as she told me to have a good day. God is so good, and He is good ALL the time!! Now what I have to do is wait for the new tickets from Houston to Roatan, then buy new ones from Amarillo to Houston. That's easier than stopping in Dallas, anyway.
Sorry the story was so long, really I did TRY to condense it! As Sonja would say---I am jazzed! It was one of those QUICK answers to prayer! Thank you, Jesus!!
We are getting back to the tiling job today, so I may not be back on for quite some time!
Welcome, Bonsey!!
Hi everyone this fine Saturday morning. It is a bit overcast but the wind isn't blowing and it doesn't seem as cold as yesterday. I am just back from coffee at the cafe with my retired friends, although today we had a couple of guys who are still working, including a neighbor of mine that I really had never had a chance to visit with.
Welcome bonesy. I am glad to see you posting. We have a number of men who post here and we are sure happy to have another man posting as well. Do you have Internet access when you are on the road in your truck?
Janet, great news on your tickets and know you must have been so relieved. Will you be doing missionary work or is this a vacation time for you both? Don't work too hard today on that tile project! :o
Cami, sure glad to see you back posting and to read that your eyes are doing a lot better. I am going to set up a little template to use with my postings so that they are easier to read and then when I post I can simply copy it from my notepad and paste it in the posting box and then type my message. Please say something if my settings are hard to read for anyone and I will try something else.
Ruth Ann, glad you are in a warm room. I seem to stay cold most of the time and find it very unpleasant. Think a lot of it is due to the medications I take. My wife seems to be warm all the time and I am cold. I turn the heat up and she turns it down.
Lee, I think your last posting left us all in the dark. I sure haven't read anything in your postings that would upset me. We need the benefit of your wisdom and Christian experience here on CP.
Hope everyone has a great day. I plan on working here on the computer most of the day and trying to catch the Georgia versus Auburn football game late this afternoon.
Larry~Awwww...coffee with friends is always a treat.
Janet~God is good. I am glad you are jazzed! Don't work to hard, girl!
Ruth Ann~That is to funny about your cat. At that age you wouldnt think it had any drive left. ;)
Jenny~Hi Jenny from England, this Wyoming girl heard your call. How cold is it over there? Do you all get alot of snow?
Hi Ria! Another colorful post. Thank you for your kind words about my pictures. :-* Do you do any crafts in your spare time, like cross stitch or crochet?
Pat! Just a quick (https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.sonifopictures.com%2Fgraphics%2Fsmilepoint.gif&hash=2b6635ba45ee9bf587aa58e99c010e1f92def48e)(((hug))).

I am going to finish making X-mas cards today and put them up for sale on my site.
Have a good day, folks!

Sonja
Al ~ Oh, to be mistaken as Jesus. What a purpose!
Janice ~ It is so good to see you again. I am thankful that you and Earl are okay even though you have had many things going on. We miss you. Come back as often as you can.
Larry ~ At the cost of repair and the lowering cost of electronics, today's electronics are 'throw away'. Just wish a dozen other things would become lower in cost.
Lee ~ If you offended me, I didn't realize it. So no apology needed my way, brother.
JudyB ~ Do encourage John to come in and join us! Edit: I see he did!!!!!
Liz ~ You talking about moving brings back memories of my moving two years ago the 19th. I had movers move me also....the only way to go!!!
Ruth ~ I can't remember what I did yesterday, let alone when we talked about GRITS on here. Hahaha!
Pat ~ Thank you for the great devotional. What a friend we have in Jesus! There is a song there, isn't there?
Sonja ~ I feel the very same way. I feel that my friendship with Jesus is growing more and more each day. Makes me wonder what the next few weeks will bring but I am ready....
Ruthie ~ I love harp music. The hospital near me had lunch for anyone who was at the hospital that day for their Christmas present to all. There was a harpist. I sat close enough to touch the harp. Wonderful sounds to accompany a wonderful luncheon.
Nita ~ Hope you didn't get crumbs in your bed. Those chocolate crumbs are tough to get out of the bed sheets! Bet you slept well after your chocolate fix though!
Ria ~ You sound much better today and that is good. I wish all my friends to have good days.
Jenny ~ Blow all the cobwebs away! I wish the wind would blow all the corn shucks away here. They are all whirling and collecting near my deck. They don't deteriorate either like tree leaves.
JudyMc ~ Good morning. Aren't we happy we are blessed with memories.?
Paulette ~ Good morning. How is the new baby? Growing like a week, I'll bet.
Ruth Ann ~ I would love to have heat that I can get next to and feel. I have hot water baseboard heat which some tell me is the most even heat but I miss standing over a register. There is no fans blowing this heat...and I can't feel it unless I am a foot away from the baseboards. But my thermometer says it is a contant temperature...so that is good.
Janet ~ I wish I would get a call like that about my taxes! I could go to Honduras and back after staying a couple of weeks on the taxes that I am paying.<:))))><<~~<:))))><<~~<:))))><<~~<:))))><<~~<:))))

Etta Sue ~ I miss your cat and name at the end of your post.
Hi to everyone of you
Jerry, Jerry, Jerry!
Hi, how are you this morning? I have been missing your posts. What did you have for breakfast? Do you have any animals to keep you company? Does Etta Sue bring her cat over to visit ya? Hope you have a good day today. (((hug))) and a :-* on the cheek!

Jenny: dear sister., I am praying for all your requests.
Lee> Hey you where are you? You have not offended me. What are you talking about anyway?
I went to Savannah's program last night and took a bunch of photos. I am think about starting a new page on my web site called Savannah's page or something like that to put all the photos on. Maybe Savannah and Forest's page.
Any way no time to post any pics right now, will do that later.
Sorry to leave and one out, u-all know I am thinking about and praying for you all.TTYL
Hi Marilyn! Pictures, woohooo...I can't wait to see the pictures.

I would love to see how you are making these cards. I think that homemade cards are the best cards. How many Christmas cards do you make?
I am not sure how many I will make this year. I haven't got that far yet. QuoteQuote by Ria:And i read a lot books and i love reading poems

That is sweet that you help your father out. There are so many who ignore their parents when they get older. Do you read to him? My son goes to the Nursing home here and sometimes reads the newspaper to the ones who can't read. He loves spending time with the elders.

How are you today?! Glad to have you as a member. Come on in and hit reply to post a message. ;D
This morning I received the following from a friend and while I seldom forward these type of messages on to others, I did so to a number of friends and relatives. I also wanted to share it with you all even though I realize you may have seen the interview or have already had someone forward it to you. I think it is worth our time to read as what Anne says is so true. Here it is:
Quote
Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her "How could God let something like this happen?" (regarding the attacks on Sept. 11).
Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response. She said "I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives."
"And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?"
"In light of recent events...terrorists attack, school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found recently) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK."
"Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school ... the Bible says thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said OK."
"Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide)."
"We said an expert should know what he's talking about. And we said OK."
"Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers, their classmates, and themselves."
"Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with "WE REAP WHAT WE SOW."
Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says.
Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing.
Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.
Are you laughing?
Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they WILL think of you for sending it. Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.
Pass it on if you think it has merit. If not then just discard it... no one will know you did. But, if you discard this thought process, don't sit back and complain about what bad shape the world is in!

WELCOME BONESY
It is always good to have some men around. Most of us do not talk as much as the women. ;D ;D
Now I have gone and done it. :P :P
I guess I better get out the book of James and read about that old tongue. :) :)
Hello to all, I enjoy reading your posts, stay tuned I might just post something interesting one day. ;D
It is raining here in my neck of the woods, rather gloomy winter like weather. :'( :'(
Have a nice day and week end and give a :)

WELCOME SUZANNE!!!
We're so glad to see you!
A hearty welcome to Suzanne, Traser, and anybody else that's new.
And a hearty good morning to all of you!
Hi Judy Mc., I saw your post to Ruthie, and before I opened my big mouth I thought I would read thru everything else before I answered your question about Grover Crosby's wife's name, just to make sure that Ruthie hadn't answered it already.
Grover Crosby was the pastor of a church that I went to as a child. He has a son named David who is my age, and as a child I had a crush on him. I look back on it now and realize just how silly that crush was! LOL
Grover's wifes name is Faith. She is someone that when I was young I had alot of respect for. I haven't seen her in years but I am sure that respect would still stand today if I were to meet her again.
I want to post a great big HELLO to my hero, Bonesy! Nice to see that you are joining the family here on CP. Love you Dad.
Anyway, I must go and get a bunch of stuff done around here.
Love to all,
Heather
QuoteWhen are you moving? Or is that little home a get-a-way home?
Sonja - it's looking like it'll be close to Dec. 18 that we actually move. We may be able to do some of it ahead of time (lhope, hope!). Not quite sure what you meant by "get-a-way home."
God bless y'all today.
Hello all!! I finally got Travis down for nap -- he went kicking and screamine. Literally. He was so sleepy, he couldn't hardly hold his eyes open, but he wanted to play.
Sonifo -- We've been fortunate with travis's teeth. All he has left is his 3rd year molars. He cut his two year molars last Spring. :o (he was only 15 mos or so). He gets a little bit of a runny nose, then *pop* there it is. But he chews on stuff like a puppy. You look like your feeling better -- all the colorful posts and stuff.
Jerry -- Two days in a row. I'm starting to feel like things are back to "normal" (that's relative) in here.
Welcome bonesy and suzanne.
Hmmm, there were some other things I wanted tomention, but have forgotten them. Will catch them on the next go 'round, I guess.
A BIG
WELCOME

BYE RIA ??? ??? ??? ::)
WELCOME SUZANNE to CP
RIA
Ria, Pat only meant that she feels sorry for you learning English, because it is a hard language to learn, as shown by the post she made. So many words, spelled the same way, but have different meanings, which have to be figured out by the way they are used in the sentence. But you are doing great with your English! So much better than any of us with Dutch!! :)
We got the area where the washer, dryer and folding table set all tiled, will have to wait a day to grout it, then we can put the laundry room back in order. Then two more areas........and we will be done!! YEA! ;)
Wow, Ria! 75 cards is alot of cards. I might send out 50 cards this year if that. It is nice to have a bunch of friends.
::) Not sure what Pat was talking about. Maybe she got you mixed up with someone else.
Is it getting close to bed time for you? Have a good night.
Love Sonja
Alright, Janet!
SONJA THANK YOU BUT NOW IT IS BEDTIME IN HOLLAND FOR LITTLE CHILDREN
IT IS 8.20 PM IN HOLLAND.
BUT I ALSO AM NOT GOING LATE TO BED
I THINK NOT THAT I COME BACK THIS EVENING
I WISH YOU ALL A GOOD EVENING AND A GOODNIGHT
LOVE RIA :)
RIA no you don't make a lot of mistakes. The problem is with the english language. So many words have a double meaning and are spelled the same. That is why poor Ria! Reread Pat's post on the English language!
Here is a Scott Brown song. We are singing it for Christmas with Pastor Jeff singing the main part. Pat or Chrismar can you come up with the music. It is a new one to me.
Who would have thought that long ago
So very far away
A little child would be born
And in a manger lay
And who would have thought this little child
Was born the King of Kings
The son of just the carpenter
But for whom the angels sing
And who would hasve thought that as he grew
And with other children played
This child with whom they laughed and sang
Would die for them some day.
And who would have thought this little child
Could make the blind to see
Feed the hungry, make rich the poor,
And set the sinner free.
Oh who would have thought this little child
Was who the prophets said
Who would take away the sins of man
And rise up from the dead.
Chorus
Oh I believe and I will always sing
This little child is the King
Oh I believe and I will always sing
This little child, He is the King of Kings.
Many years have come and gone
Yet this world remains the same
Empires have been built and fallen
Only time has made a change
Nation against nation
Brother against brother
Men so filled with hatred
Killing one another
And over half the world is starving
While our banner of decency is torn
Debating over disarmament
Killing children before they are born
And fools who march to win the right
To justify their sin
We're a nation that has fallen
Has fallen from within
Yet in the midst of this darkness
There is a hope
A light that burns
This little child the King of Kings
Someday will return
Chorus
Oh I believe and I will always sing
This little child is the King
Oh I believe and I will always sing
This little child, He is the King of Kings.
Who would have thought this little child
Is who the prophets said
Will return to judge the world
The living and the dead
Oh can't you see that long ago
So very far away
This little child our only hope
Was born a King that day!

I also wanted to mention that my friend that is now with the Lord would sing his music to me when I was a teenager. That is when I started listening to Christian music. His name was Scotty. He was an awesome man!

Poor Ria!
Poor Mieka!
Anyone that is trying to learn our English language, I could have said, "Poor xxx" Thanks Janet for helping Ria to understand what I meant. I'm absolutely in awe when I think that you, Ria, make so many wonderful posts in here and they have such good English in them and yet English isn't your native tongue or language.
That's all I meant sweetie... Nothing else. I was feeling sorry for you.
And to clear up another misunderstanding --
It has occurred to me that this comment
Quote
Welcome to those who have joined in the last day or so! Do not be afraid to come and join us, we are a pretty nice group (well, you have to look out for Chris and Lee, but you will get used to them quickly enough) and enjoy eachother's cyber-friendship.
may be what caused Lee's apology in the forums yesterday.
Since the comment was made publically, I want to apologize publically, and explain
how and
why it was made.
1) I have the utmost respect for Chris and Lee -- both as Christian men and photographers. I never, ever ever meant for this comment about them to be taken seriously.
2) I made it simply because of the wry sense of humor both of these gentlemen have exhibited in the past and was gently poking fun at them as I often do with people I consider friends.
I apologize if my comment was hurtful, spiteful, or offending in any way.
PS -- Bernard's subsequent comments were meant in the same way. If we misled anyone to believe we meant
anything otherwise, our sincerest apology.
Ria You don't make mistakes...You are wonderful and I love you because you are very special. God Bless, Jenny.
And to think that it was all those Brits fault!
Another good thought for today...........
THANKS, FORGIVING DAY
by Bob Perks
"It's happening already!" he said to me.
"What?"
"The last I looked it was July 4th and now suddenly it's
the holiday season," he said smiling.
"I'm not ready for this at all," I told him.
"Oh, it may have come too fast, but I'm always ready for
my 'Thanks Forgiving Day!'"
"You mean Thanksgiving Day?"
"Oh, that too!"
"I'm confused!" I said.
"Well, Thanksgiving Day isn't celebrated on the same day
around the world. I'm not even sure if some countries have
such a day. So I celebrate Thanksgiving Day with my family
and friends in America. However, the day before Thanksgiving,
I celebrate 'Thanks, Forgiving Day' with all my international
friends as well as those here at home."
"Do you travel that much?"
"Oh, no. I've never had that luxury. I met all of these
wonderful people on the Internet. I call them 'friends
I've never met'," I said proudly. "I too, have many from
around the world."
"Well then you must celebrate it, too."
"Tell me about it."
"Well, on Thanksgiving Day I give thanks for all the
blessings in my life. Good health, love, friendship, work,
the food I eat and everything I value." He paused for a
moment, took a deep breath and sighed with great
satisfaction that his life is so blessed.
"But on 'Thanks Forgiving Day', the Wednesday before, I
make an effort to ask for forgiveness for any wrongs I have
done. Even the smallest things that may have gone unchecked
over the past year. You know, those little things that may
have hurt someone's feelings and I didn't realize it. But
also the big things which may have caused a hurt or lost
friendship. I simply ask everyone to forgive me and thank
them for opening their hearts to me again."
I stood there listening to this wonderful man. He was one
of those people whom you immediately trusted. His voice,
his demeanor, were warm and welcoming.
It was a wonderful thought. A gesture that gives hope to
the world. To think that in some small way we could undermine
all of the hate and anger in the world by humbly asking to be
forgiven even when we have done nothing wrong. The act itself
is a reflection of the greatest love God has for us.
"So will you join me?" he asked.
"I just did!"
To you, my friend, reading this message: When I awaken
each morning my heart sings a grateful tune to God for
giving me still another chance to make a difference in
this world.
On this -- my Thanks, Forgiving Day -- I humbly ask for
your forgiveness if I have slighted you in any way during
the past year. I treasure your presence in my life and if
you would forgive me, I would be forever grateful. Thanks!
I invite you to join us on Wednesday, November 26th as we
celebrate, Thanks, Forgiving Day!

Hi Everyone, Thanks for the welcomes to the system, I have been doing some reading to get familiar with how CP works. It will take me a while as I am a bit computer illiterate. However we will perservere, Don't have much time to spend here today as I have to leave in about an hour for Virginia to deliver monday am. if aall goes well I should be back Wed. and will do some playing around in the system then and read some more of your postings.
As for the Dutch language I can only speak it some but have no clue about spelling the words in written form.
I also work as a volunteer chaplain with Open Road Chapels and if God wills it I will some day maybe be fulltime. This is a ministry that reaches out to truckers in the truck stops. Will tell you more about this as we go along. It is a very interesting and vitally necessary work. Got to go for now and get ready to hit the road.
Looking forward to more interaction with you folks
God bless you all
Bye for now John.
Al Moak!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!We Brits invented English lol.
But some of it we find hard to understand ourselves lol :) :D
My T stuck and lost the post. (No Lee not my cup of tea!)
Janet your timing for posting the story was impeckable as is usual.
Lee when do we get more clues for the Hymn???? I am anxious!
JOHN DON'T HIT THE ROAD TOO HARD . . . . . . . . .
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . THAT WOULD HURT!
Welcome to all the newcomers!!!
Hi Everyone-just thought I'd drop in and say hello--Ive been busy the last few days and trying to get some things done that Ive needed to accomplish lately--Im off to the grocery store and to buy Lindsey a guinia pig lol..Hope you all have a blessed day!
Hugs
Rachelle
Sonja ~ Thank you. I am doing okay. I don't have any pets of my own, but I will have Bubba the cat (that is so fat he waddles down my hall) in February for the month. Etta Sue doesn't take Ali anywhere, she doesn't like riding in a car very well. Etta Sue is talking like I can take care of her while Ivalou,Marg, Betty and her are in Hawaii next summer, but I don't know if she will ride over here or not. Maybe her brother will take care of Ali. I will cross that bridge when I come to it. Thanks for the kiss on the cheek.
Marilyn ~ Thanks. I am not lurking on purpose. I will be back someday.
Papa John ~ Thank you. I am always glad to see your posts. I do lurk a lot and read your posts then.
Karma ~ Don't get too use too it. I will lurk more than write. Keeps me out of trouble that way. ...............
I am not desensitized by you and Nards words and I don't believe anyone else is either. If that is the cause non of us would be here. We would all do well too remember that we don't see eye to eye, but are willing to learn. I lurk a lot, but I learn too!
Brother Jerry, wonderful to see you lurking,
take good care of yourself now. here? ;)
Chris and Margit ~ Thank you. It has been a long time and it will be a long time, but I will be lurking so watch what ya say. Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! ;) ;D 8) ::) ;)
Hi Everyone...
Just had a little visit down to Larry and Diane. I haven't been in to see Larry at all as he doesn't want to see anyone but at least I can visit with Diane and get her mind off what is happening.
Chris has send some cute photos for our newest challenge so I'm going to get them posted too. And hopefully, Lee will be back in here with a hymn to guess!
Thanks Karma for your words. It's difficult sometimes on the internet. Being a host on SeniorNet since 1996, I can tell you that this has been a terrible problem on that site. People get hurt and then later on we find out that what they read wasn't meant to hurt but it was teasing or joking or even a term or slogan used in another country that is derogatory in our own country. We've dealt with all kinds of these types of situations over the years.
It's too bad that we can't show a photo of our big grinning face as we type sometimes, isn't it? then we could maybe communicate better. Let's just do a lot of praying one for the other and hopefully that will help.
Karma and Nards, I just don't know what we would have done without you during the time that we suddenly all became "orphans" overnight and you gave us a home where we could meet and talk and pray while I built this site called Christian Photographers. Thanks so much for that. You really showed your true Christian character back then.
Jerry, it's so good to see your posts. I've been praying daily for you. You've come a long way, bro! I'm so happy. I remember Jack recuperating from his strokes. They were in a different part of the brain from yours so none of his limbs were involved long term but oh, his short term memory surely was affected.
Well, this is a sad day for me seeing my friend Larry go down hill so quickly and so I won't post more right now but I'm going to go and get Chris's photos ready to post. I'm so far behind in many of the tasks that I do behind the scenes. Hopefully, I'll get caught up soon.
I feel a hymn coming on...
;D
OK Pat what about "What a Friend"?
That was Lena's favourite too
I sent this to some of you but I was asked to post it here for all to read.

WELCOME BAMABELLE!!
We're so glad to see you here!
Welcome Bamabelle - please come back and post!...Tell us about what all is going on in your life!
This afternoon I took my car in to the dealers to have it washed (this is a service Toyota provides for the owners). While in line, I had my foot on the brake., and it slipped off...you guessed it...I hit the car in front!!. No damage at all to my car, BUT the imprint of my license is on the other guy's car. I was just "sick" about it. The gentleman was so nice., now I'm waiting to see what the damage will cost me to have it fixed. His car was brand new also!
I'll see how "nice" the man is when he gives me the estimate :'(
Oh Judy
That is too bad. Don't let it keep you awake tonight, leave it in Jesus' hands and let him work.
I am so sorry this happened. Hey on an up not there was no damage to your car! ! ! ! !
(https://www.christianphotographers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fusers.adelphia.net%2F%7Epairajeans%2Fbamabelle.jpg&hash=cfd78b6cfb5b74b6cbc643a853e4e79a085ccb1d)
It has been a good day here in sunny Cambridge. I had the pleasure of rescuing my husband who had locked himself out of his car at work....lol.
After that, I decided to take my 15 yr old neice on a tour of Guelph, to some of the places that mean the most to me. She came with me to unlock Jon's car. I showed her where I used to live, just up the street from Aunt Pat, and the schools Jon and I went to. I also stopped by my hairdressers home to set an appointment to get my hair cut on Friday afternoon, and asked him if he was able to do something special to my neice's hair. (she has nappi hair, and he has never done anything with it.) Then I took her by the home of my dear best friend who went home to be with our Lord almost 6 years ago. I still miss her, but I don't cry about it as often as I used to. Then we came home to Cambridge. We got back here at 4:45, and Kristalyn went to her room to prepare to go to a hockey game with her boyfriend as her mom and sister got ready to go out to the Santa Clause parade, which was to begin at 6.
I had never been to a night time parade before, and I was as excited as Chantelle was. (She is 10) The parade was amazing. I guess I am still a little girl at heart. I said to Suzanne, my sister in law, that I go to the Santa Clause parade to see all the transport trucks that pull the floats. I saw an absolutely beautiful one, and if I had the opportunity to see the cab of this one I would have been in my glory, it was a double extended cab, and I can imagine that it was completely equiped with a shower, toilet and kitchen facilities, on top of the usual bunk for sleeping.
I saw a day cab from the company that my dad used to work at. The driver looked familiar, however I didn't mention to him who I was related to, so I will never really know if I had met him before or not.
After the parade, I came home, picked up my neice and took her to the arena to see the hockey game with her boyfriend and a couple of girlfriends with their boyfriends.
All in all it was a busy but very interesting day. I feel like my day was totally fulfilled! LOL
Time for me to go, and spend some time with Jon, before he goes off to bed. This is his weekend to work.
Take care everyone.
Love
Heather
Heather, what is "nappi" hair? That's a new one for me. :-\
Nappi hair is "black" hair. Her mom is white, and her dad is black. She inherited the black hair.
The term was new to me too when I met her a year ago. She is such a beautiful person, and I love spending time with her.
Ah! thanks for the explanation.

[shadow=brown, right]Suzanne!!
and
BAMABELLE!![/shadow]
Sonja ~ Thanks for the fishes for Ali. I don't think she has seen a fish. Or a mouse...other than this one by the keyboard. But she likes birdies!!!!
This is an evening that I was going to go to bed early. I haven't felt up to par all day today. Then I started on PSP...and you know the rest of the story! The above Welcome is a PSP lesson!
Time to call it a night so I can get some rest and get to church tomorrow.
I pray everyone has a fantastic Lord's Day!!!
Good night all!!!
Well I am still up. Melaura cannot sleep AGAIN. soooooo I sit up with her as she reads or watches Doc on TV.
We had the septic pumped tonight. The gentleman who does this is so accomodating. We have become friends, he now knows Jake and Bruno. As long as there is no bushy beard or touque Jake is ok. Now if you have a bushy beard he goes snakey.... Just ask my neighbour down the road. As Don drove his beat up pickup (with no windshield) down the road, Jake went after him, Don is afraid of Jake and thought Jake was going to jump into the truck and get him. Was a funny thing to see.
We are having Lord's Supper tomorrow. We are singing some new hymns. I understand the reasoning but in the one they are taking out all the Thee's and Thou's. I find this disturbing. Oh well I voiced ny objection and they can take it up for advisement. I was weened on the old English, I love the old wording, and the thee's and thou's give God Majesty. I will get off my soap box.
All the snow we have is supposed to go this week. Woohoo! it is to rain later in the week and that will clear the snow out. You will never hear me complain any other season, but I do complain about the cold.
Well going to see if I can encourage Melaura to go to bed.
I may be back
Love Judy

Oh, Suzanne, you thrill my heart tonight! I've had a pretty sad day today with a neighbour who is dying from cancer and he doesn't know my Saviour. He's been a very dear friend along with his wife for many years and now he's only got a few days left on this earth.
When my hubby was very ill, Larry was my dear buddy who did all the "man" things around my house outside like trimming bushes, and putting up Christmas lights, etc.
I'm so glad you came, Suzanne. You'll find a great group here.
What do you work at? It's nice you have internet access while you're at work.
Hey, Suzanne, make sure you put your birthday in your profile!
Then if you click on the calendar up at the top right, you'll see it listed. We have some pretty wild birthday parties in here! LOL
I also see that you're in Arkansas! Wow! You're the first one from that state.
Pat I am a medical laboratory technologist (I work in a hospital laboratory). I am not sure I can post from work but I sure can read the posts that are here :)
I am so sorry about your neighbor, I will keep him in my prayers as well.
I am a single mom of 3 wonderful kids 22, 19 and 9 so I can imagine how much it meant to have someone to do the "man" things, I havent' had that in awhile.
Well, folks, I'm getting sleepy,s o I reckon I should be heading that way! I hope all of you have a wonderful Lord's day!!
Well, there are several in here that can relate to your situation, Suzanne. I'm now a widow and life can be difficult without hubby around.
Pretty soon, (about 5 minutes from now), I'll be locking this topic and opening a new one as you've probably noticed each night.
I hope you stay around and post in the new one that is for Sunday.
I won't be long!
Here's a hymn to sing while I'm opening the new topic for Sunday....

Words and Music by Mosie Lister
Mark 4:39
"And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea,
Peace be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm."
In the dark of the midnight have I oft hid my face,
While the storm howl above me, and there's no hiding place.
'Mid the crash of the thunder, Precious Lord, hear my cry,
Keep me safe till the storm passes by.
Chorus
Till the storm passes over, till the thunder sounds no more,
Till the clouds roll forever from the sky;
Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand,
Keep me safe till the storm passes by.
Many times Satan whispered, "There is no need to try,
For there's no end of sorrow, there's no hope by and by"
But I know Thou art with me, and tomorrow I'll rise
Where the storms never darken the skies.
Chorus
Till the storm passes over, till the thunder sounds no more,
Till the clouds roll forever from the sky;
Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand,
Keep me safe till the storm passes by.
When the long night has ended and the storms come no more,
Let me stand in Thy presence on the bright peaceful shore;
In that land where the tempest, never comes, Lord, may I
Dwell with Thee when the storm passes by.
Chorus
Till the storm passes over, till the thunder sounds no more,
Till the clouds roll forever from the sky;
Hold me fast, let me stand in the hollow of Thy hand,
Keep me safe till the storm passes by.
