Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST:

Please pray for Darrel Damon, Janet's husband who was rushed by ambulance to Amarillo, Texas today.

Morning Devotional...

Spiritual Warfare and Sin: What Past?

I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; and I will not remember your sins.
--Isaiah 43:25

One of the old German devotional philosophers took the position that God loves to forgive big sins more than He does little sins because the bigger the sin, the more glory accrues to Him for his forgiveness. I remember the writer went on to say that not only does God forgive sins and enjoy doing it, but as soon as He has forgiven them, He forgets them and trusts the person just as if he or she had never sinned. I share his view that God not only forgives great sins as readily as little ones, but once He has forgiven them He starts anew right there and never brings up the old sins again....

When a person makes a mistake and has to be forgiven, the shadow may hang over him or her because it is hard for other people to forget. But when God forgives, He begins the new page right there, and then the devil runs up and says, "What about this person's past?" God replies: "What past? There is no past. We started out fresh when he came to Me and I forgave him!"
Faith Beyond Reason, 112.

"Lord, this concept is so foreign to our human understanding and our
human way of doing things. Your grace in forgiving--and forgetting--
is beyond our comprehension. But I worship You for it today. Amen."

THROUGH IT ALL
(Click to hear music)

BY ANDRAE CROUCH

I've had many tears and sorrows,
I've had questions for tomorrow,
There have been times
I didn't know right from wrong.
But in every situation -
God gave blessed consolation,
That my trials come only to make me strong.

I thank God for the mountains,
I thank Him for the valleys
I thank Him for the storms
He brought me through.

For if I'd never had a problem
I wouldn't know that He could solve them,
I'd never know what faith in God can do.

Chorus:
Through it all -- through it all,
I've learned to trust in Jesus,
I've learned to trust in God.
Through it all -- through it all,
I've learned to depend upon His Word.

Guess I got into yesterday's NEM just before the door slammed shut.  But now look - I'm first in today's!

My prayers are going up for Janet, Darrel and Beth.  I know our Blessed Lord will give them all strength and comfort.

And now it's almost midnight so I'm off to bed.

Oh Lord God, You commanded us to pray for one
another, and you promised us that we'd receive
answers.  Lord with our understanding it is beyond us,
yet our faith tells us it is so.  Without faith
it is impossible to please you.  So my sister Pat
and I join with others who are praying in faith,
and we stand it the gap for Darryl.

Heal him we pray in the mighty name of  Christ,
our lord and saviour.  We rebuke the devourer in
the name of Jesus .  The thief comes to steal, kill, and
destroy but you've come, that DARRYL would have
life more abundantly.  Show him your healing lord.

I don't know his spiritual state Father, but you
do.  Draw him closer.  Use this to get his
attention, to draw him closer to you than ever.  If he
isn't yet saved, oh God draw him, compel him to
come in. Let his salvation and healing be a tool
to draw others to you. Let this be a new beginning
for him, not the end.

Father we are in desparate times.  Lines are
being drawn.  It is now time, my God, to choose, or
not.  Lord our hearts have chosen you, but we are
not content.  Use us to draw others.  Use ME oh
God.

Bless the lord oh my soul, and ALL that is within
me bless his holy name.  EVERYTHING IN ME...ALL!!

Bless our precious sister Janet...give her peace,
and the righteous indignation to do battle on
behalf of her beloved Darryl.  Send others to stand
with them.

I speak peace, I speak healing, I speak victory.
In the mighty name, above all names,   CHRIST.

Amen and amen!

Thanks so much Pat, for the privilege of praying
for our sister and brother.

I am always available to pray.

God bless you so much for your faithfulness.

(I have since learned that Darryl is a Christian)

Thank you Father....bless him, bless my brother.  Strengthen him with might, in the inner man. You're faithful lord.
+

I'm sold out and committed to go all the way with Jesus.  He is my lord, and savior, and I love him because he first loved me.  The more I look to him, the more deeply I fall in love with him.  He has done marvelous things in me, and through me. I'm awesomely created in HIS image, and I'm filled with his spirit.  It's Christ in me, the hope of glory.  I'm a warrior, a victorious warrior, coming against powers and principalities and wickedness in high places. God has given us ALL things that pertain unto righteousness....hallelujah!  He's worthy to be praised, and worshiped and adored.

Nita

We're all holding you and Darrel, Janet...and Beth too.  Passionate prayers to our Father for everything you need.  We love you.

JEANNE -- You weren't the last in yesterday's NEM .. I was right behind you.   :)  I'll just repeat my post here, if that's okay.
I just got the word about Darrel   :'( ... I am in prayer as I type this and I want to thank Beth for posting here, also.  I will be awaiting any word as soon as it comes in.   And I am praying for added strength for Janet as she endures yet another crisis.  She has a strong faith and must know there are an abundance of prayers being lifted before the throne of Grace.

JEANNE!!  It is good to see you again.  I am sorry about your loss and I know you are still making adjustments.  It isn't always a smooth road, is it?  Welcome back!   <3

Pat I am so sorry that I missed your page last night but yes I was in bed, I heard the page, but didn't get up to see who it was. I assume that it was to tell me about Darrel, I am praying here along with everyone else for Janet and Darrel and for Beth too.

Grayce your prayer is so beautiful  and full of love. I prayed right along with you.

Jeanne it is so good to see you back I hope to see more of you from now on.
I know you must still be missing your beloved Gene, God Bless you dear sister.

Pat that is a great devotional this morning. Forgiveness is something that we must also do for ourselves. To remember that we are forgiven when Satan tries to throw the past in our face and cause us all kinds of inner turmoil. I know that he has certainly caused me a lot of inner turmoil over the years.

Janet, I have prayed that God would somehow (He knows so well how) use all this for your good, for Darrel's good, for Beth's good.  And I Have also prayed that the doctors will have special insight and wisdom to deal with him.  Oh let Jesus Christ be at the very center of all!

Jeanne - so very good to see you here again!  Many, many times over the months I have wondered about you, your health, etc.  Jesus Himself is now your only Husband, but He is the very best!  And please don't be a stranger to this forum anymore, Jeanne - you're my MAC friend!  By the way, since you were last here I got a new IMAC, the one with the flat screen, etc.  It's pretty fantastic!

Hello!!

Just jumping in quickly to say, Sonifo, if you peek in -- HAPPY BIORTHDAY.

Gotta run, Kristi's crying.

Nita

Good morning.  I was just checking to see if there's further word about Darrel.

Jeanne, it was sure good to see your face and name pop up.  I know you've gone through a lot, and have thought of you often.

Grace, what a beautiful prayer.

We're supposed to have some sunshine today, and then a storm come in again tonight or tomorrow.  They've issued a high wind warning, but then again, they always do that.  We're used to wind here on the coast.  I love to watch it in the evergreen trees across the street.  I've seen branches crack, but haven't seen a tree fall, thank God, because there are houses below.

I'm helping my daughter, Kim, try to do some Christmas party invitations on the computer today.  She found some really cute paper.  We just need to line everything up and get them printed out   We shall see.

Have a blessed day.  Nita

Pat

I was just popping in too to see if there was any news on Darrel.

Still praying.

Thanks for the "welcome back" messages.  It is so easy to get away from a good habit and so hard to lose the bad ones.   ???

I just popped in for a couple of minutes to check on whether there was any news about Darrel.  Still praying for encouraging news.

Today I decided it was time to get back to straightening out and throwing out.  I have a whole lot of stuff to take to the Salvation Army and some that I need to call them to pick up. I had begun with all of this when the girl I was assisting and filling in for at work suddenly had to take sick leave and early retirement.  She had developed a rampant macular degeneration that didn't respond to any of the treatments they tried and her vision deteriorated very rapidly.  That left me working full time for a couple of months, trying to handle all sorts of things I'd never been trained for, while the job was advertised, interviews conducted and finally a choice made.  A couple more weeks of helping the new girl get settled and I'm finally back to part time.

I learned a lot during those weeks - including that I'm too old to work full time and keep house and take care of the yard, especially during the hottest summer we've had in years.  I just don't have the stamina any more.  So things really got behind and now I need to play catch-up.  ::)  Thanks to my wonderful neighbors, the grass got cut regularly and the leaves got raked.

Thanks for the message, Beth.  If Mum phones again, please tell her that we have a little army here all praying for her and Darrel.

Did you get the Private Message I sent you with my phone number, Beth?

Jeanne, many of us as you know were thinking of you when you lost your dear Gene and we're so sorry.  I will always remember my telephone conversations with him and the other day, I was looking through some papers and out popped a photo of him that you sent to me.

I'm so very happy that you've come back and posted in CP and as Al Moak says, you were his MAC buddy!  LOL

Talk to you later,  <3

As we all rally around praying for Darrel and Janet, this hymn came to my mind...

BLEST BE THE TIE
(Click to hear music)

Author:  John Fawcett, 1740-1817
Musician:  Hans G. Nageli, 1773-1836
Arr. By Lowell Mason, 1792-1872

And the multitude of them that believed
were of one heart and of one soul:
neither said any of them that ought of the things
which he possessed was his own;
but they had all things common.
Acts 4:32

Blest be the tie that binds
Our hearts in Christian love;
The fellowship of kindred minds
Is like that to that above.

Before our Father's throne
We pour our ardent prayers;
Our fears, our hopes, our aims are one
Our comforts and our cares.

We share each other's woes,
Our mutual burdens bear;
And often for each other flows
The sympathizing tear.

When we asunder part,
It gives us inward pain;
But we shall still be joined in heart,
And hope to meet again.

This glorious hope revives
Our courage by the way;
While each in expectation lives,
And longs to see the day.

From sorrow, toil and pain,
And sin, we shall be free,
And perfect love and friendship reign
Through all eternity.

Call her anyway, come to think of it.  There's so much more you can convey in a conversation.   :yakyakyak:

Hello Everyone! Its been a very long time since I have been around-lots of things going on in our lives-The older girls are going to Mexico in April for a Missionary trip with our Church-they are really excited-I have written almost 30 letters to help them with their support-so far they have earned $40 dollars. We are still homeschooling all the kids and 3x's a week we take them to a place called Sports USA and they do a homeschooling PE day-its been alot of fun for them. We are still living in the same place as we didn't get all the things done we would of liked to have-to sell our home-we are hoping that we can list it this spring or summer.I just started a new weight loss program called Prism and have been on it for 3 days-so far it is going good. I am getting my Christmas cards ready to send out-we have had over 10 inches of snow in the past 24 hours so the kids have been having alot of fun playing in that. :D
We have found a wonderful church that we really love called "Word of Life".
Thats about it for now-I will try to post more often.
Hugs in Jesus

Rachelle

Nice to see you Rachelle.  <3  I'm so happy that your children are going to Mexico on a missionary trip.  What a great experience for them.

Don't be a stranger, honey.  You come back often.

On your new weight loss programme, do you do a lot of this?  :tiredtread:

Ruth Ann Bice

Hi, friends,

This has been an exhausting week, and I have to be at the doctor at 7:30 in the morning for a look at my foot. Will try to report more tomorrow night.

G'nite, friends,

Ruth Ann
...his compassions fail not.  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

Larry Hanna

I have not had a chance to read the postings since yesterday when I posted so wasn't aware of Darrel having to be taken to the hospital and having the angiogram.  If this was his first angiogram I am sure it was a bit scary for him, although they probably gave him the amnesia drug so he won't remember much about it.  Hopefully it will provide the informaiton the doctors need to determine what is causing his pain.  I just hope he hasn't had a heart attack.  I am certainly praying for him and especially for Janet and Beth, as I have always felt it may be harder on the spouse and family, than on the person who is having the problem.  Beth, thanks for keeping us advised.

Jeanne, how wonderful to see your postings as it has been so long.  I hadn't been aware that you had lost Gene until a few months ago and was certainly saddened to learn of his passing.

It is late so I am not going to stop here for tonight.  I have had a full day and am just back from choir practice and ready to turn in for the night.

Alma

Good Evening, I have posted a serious prayer request and could use all you prayer warriors help, In The Name Of Jesus.

And Bless all of you, Alma
