Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Carol: Thankful:  Don is home from hospital.  I found him unconscious with head outside on the floor and the rest was in the shower.  At the same moment, one son was walking through the front door to visit.  Two fire trucks came racing in and they took over After 2021-12-29, 22:01:26

LEE......You are on another web-site!  RAPTURE...
YOU'VE BEEN READING "LEFT bEHIND" BY TIM LAHAYE.

"THESE ARE THEY THAT HAVE COME OUT OF THE GREAT TRIBULATION,"..............
You can't come outof the great tribulation, without going into it!

Just a thought.............Keep your lamps trimmed!

Jenny.

Jenny

LEE I can't wait for the ride on your Goldwing. Try Pinkie, she would love it!  I look forward to the coffeee though.  Hope it's Kenya!

Nearest I ever got to a motor bike was on an old Royal Enfield when I was about 14 years old....my childhood boyfriend had one and we went to Cadwell Park, Northamtonshire to the motor bike races on it.  I was terrified, especially as Peter had already had one accident on it.  He had a pin in his hip as a result.  Those were the days!

JANET Hello Sister........I send love to you dear.

Please God I am not succumbing to flu.  I don't feel too good tonight so am off to bed in  mo.  Should be having the flu jab(vaccination) on Tuesday!

Goodnight then to all of you,
God Bless, Sleep tight,
Jenny.

Jenny..... did the milkman break a GLASS bottle of milk?!

In Canada, there are no more milkmen who deliver milk to the houses.   We have to go to the store and buy our milk in a cardboard carton.    I can remember when the milk was left in the milk box.   In the winter sometimes it would freeze and break the bottle.    I even remember unpasteurized milk and the cream would go to the little glass bulb at the top of the bottle.     My father was a wholesale milkman for Borden's and delivered to the stores.

Those were good memories.

Ruthie.

7.50 p.m..

GOSH, THIS IS GETTING INFECTIOUS!!!

LIZ..........SORRY DEAR PLEASE FORGIVE ME AND TELL US HOW YOUR DAUGHTER IS GETTING ON...SHE WAS AWAITING TESTS. POP IT INTO PRAYERS.

RUTHIE.....  YES IT WAS A GLASS BOTTLE.  I WASH THEM UP AND PUT THE SHINY BOTTLES OUTSIDE FOR PHIL TO COLLECT NEXT MORNING.  USUALLY HE COMES BETWEEN 6A.M. AND 7 A.M.
I REMEMBER WE USED TO HAVE BREAD DELIVERED TOO.  IN THE 1940S A HORSE PULLED A CART WITH BREAD, THEN THE VAN TOOK OVER.  NOW WE HAVE TO GET OUR LOAVES FROM THE SHOP.

                        BYE ALL!

Pat

Jenny, I had both bread and milk delivered when we lived in Ireland.  Had to watch the birds as they loved to peck at the shiny tops of the milk bottles.

Hi Jenny...... my belief about the rapture is that after the rapture, and we are in heaven,  many people will be left behind.  (those who have not accepted Christ).

There will be the antichrist on the earth, and for those who will not take the mark of the beast, they will be martyred.

"These are they that will come out of the great tribulation, a multitude that no man can number, whose robes have been washed in the Blood of the Lamb. "   These will be the martyers.

At the same time there will be 144,000 jewish evangelists, who are sealed, (cannot be killed) and they will go into all the world preaching the Word.

Heavy stuff, but wonderful!

Love Ruthie

Kathy

good afternoon to all! :)

It is a cloudy day in the deepsouth and the temps are around 70 so not too chilly yet.

Thanks again for the devotional and the song, Pat.  I love all of F. Crosby's songs as she had such an insight into a Christian's life.
I am glad you're feeling better and I wish you a happy Thanksgiving Day.

Welcome to our newest friends....
  Pookey Bear and Emily
You are so thoughtful to make your own birthday and Christmas cards, Ria.

Ruthie, I agree with you about the rapture.

Back to work..I'm on work time now so cannot stay too long on the computer talking to you great folks!

Marilyn, please sleep better tonight. :)

Meika..you are just too precious!  I will miss you and hope your stay is not long!

Thoughts on the Second Coming of Christ...

I'd just like to say that on this website (Christian Photographers), there are some of us with differing opinions as to the actual events that will happen when our Lord shall appear and the order in which these events will happen.  We'll all find out WHEN the Lord comes back just who was correct!  ;D

It can be a divisive subject and if anyone would like to talk about it, please feel free to open the topic in the Manna for the Soul area but as administrator of this site I'll be a hard task master!  LOL    ;D

No fighting!  LOL

It Will Be Worth It All[/color]

Words and music by Esther Kerr Rusthoi

Oft times the day seems long, our trials hard to bear,
We're tempted to complain, to murmur and despair;
But Christ will soon appear to catch His Bride away,
All tears forever over in God's eternal day.

Refrain
It will be worth it all when we see Jesus,
Life's trials will seem so small when we see Christ;
One gliimpse of His dear face all sorrow will erase,
So bravely run the race till we see Christ.

Sometimes the sky looks dark with not a ray of light,
We're tossed and driven on , no human help in sight;
But there is one in heav'n who knows our deepest care,
Let Jesus solve your problem - just go to Him in pray'r.

Refrain
It will be worth it all when we see Jesus,
Life's trials will seem so small when we see Christ;
One gliimpse of His dear face all sorrow will erase,
So bravely run the race till we see Christ.

Life's day will soon be o'er, all storms forever past,
We'll cross the great divide, to glory, safe at last;
We'll share the joys of heav'n - a harp, a home, a crown,
The tempter will be banished, we'll lay our burden down.

Refrain
It will be worth it all when we see Jesus,
Life's trials will seem so small when we see Christ;
One gliimpse of His dear face all sorrow will erase,
So bravely run the race till we see Christ.

We also had the "Ice Man" come to our home.  We all had ice boxes to keep our food fresh in the summer and as kids, we loved to follow the ice man as he went down the road so we could pick up any of the chips!

Did you have an Ice Man?

"Click for Waterloo Wellington, Ontario Forecast"

Chris & Margit Saunders

As you probably know, we in the UK have no "Thanksgiving".
Instead we have  a Harvest Festival where the firstfruits are offered back to God.
As far as "Thanksgiving " is concerned we believers have thanksgiving every day. lol.

The two events......

The Bema Seat of Christ, and the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

Honest Pat, I meant no harm.

Pat, and Jenny.......
I have a very good friend, a retired chief detective inspector who used to live in Stafford, England.  He used to tell of the milk deliveries left at the front door and how the upper 25% would be pure cream. Our neighbors used to sell us fresh milk and I scraped the cream off the top, added some water, put it in a blender and in seconds I'd have butter.

As for ice, I delivered ice (Assisted the driver) when I was fourteen.

Ria.......
Be glad to. BTW. Vivian has two miniture wooden shoes over the kitchen stove.  We've had them for years.

Hello all!!

I'm getting a moments peace and quiet as Travis is sleeping soundly -- with his pacifier  ::) :-[ :-\.  After crying for 2 solid hours, and me trying every "trick" I know to get him to sleep, I gave in and dug it out after almost 3 weeks of not having it.  I am going to regret that, I think, but he was miserable.

I hope everyone is gearing up for a wonderfulllllllllll weekend.  I am.

Mexican food sounds great.  Wonder what Nards wants for supper???? :P

Pat

If we didn't get the milk in almost as soon as the milk man came, we really had a fight with the birds.  YUCK!

Jenny, do the milk bottles still have a foil top on them?

Lee, you were an Ice Man Helper!??  Wow!  That would have been wonderful on hot days.

I just noticed, I'm a Jr. and I didn't have to take a written test. :)

Pat.  I wasn't a very responsible kid and didn't last very long.  I wasn't fired, I just thought it was too hard.

I switched to diving for coins in Wilmington, Calif.  The passengers on the Catalina boat (Ship) would throw coins to us kids.  BTW, each coin responds differently after it hits the water.  Seldom did they throw a quarter in those days of hard times.

Just think of the books that could be written about the adventures of each one of us from our youth to today.

Here's an example of one incident.....During WWII (1944) I was a sixteen year old kid on a hospital ship (Emily H.M. Weder) in Manila.  There was an awful lot of shooting going on just outside of town.  I went to the Red Cross for a cup of coffee and a donut, and I wasn't in uniform.  I knocked on the door and GI's in battle dress were inside.  A woman came to the door and asked me what I wanted. I told her and she asked me why I wasn't in uniform.  I told her I was an American in the Army Transport Service on a hospital ship and she told me I wasn't a GI and closed the door.  I've never given a nickle to the Red Cross since.  Blood, yes, but never money.

Good evening, All!  I know....some of you are already in bed for the night.

I went to my bank this afternoon and then I sat in my swing and read.  Well, I got a little chilly and sleepy so I came inside.  Big mistake.  I laid on the bed with my afghan over me and read....for awhile.  I fell asleep.  Hope I can sleep tonight.

I thought they were going to pick the corn across the road from me but it must be too moist yet.  The farmer quit.  I will feel like I have thrown open all the curtains when that field is down.

Karma ~ TAS?  When you call the little one TAS, I think of the Tasmanian Devil... :'(  and Travis isn't.  Now I am thinking it is his initials.  What does TAS stand for?

I barely remember the ice man and the ice box.  I do remember the bread man.  Omar bread.  As for the Omar bread man, I remember they used to have the bestest Pecan Rolls.  Nothing today tastes anything like them.  And we could get Angel Food Cake.  When you sliced it, there was a filling in the middle.  I remember Strawberry filling.
And we didn't have milk delivery until after 1960 and the milk was in cardboard cartons.  Before that we had our own cows and the milk was in different containers... ;) ;D  I remember once for Christmas...Mom always made Date Pudding...and she asked me to make the Whipped Cream with our electric mixer.  I didn't want to do it but knew better than to refuse, so I mixed it.  And mixed it.  We ended up with butter for our Date Pudding!  No more cream for that day.  Ah, memories!!!

I wonder also if lightening rods were such a great thing way back when, why don't we still have them?  I remember every house had lightening rods.

Also, does anyone remember the Sylvania televisions with the white light around the picture tube?  Seems back then people watched TV with no lights....just a TV lamp.  This TV had its own TV light.

Enough nastalgia!

Etta Sue

This time last evening, Norm, Papa John's friend posted this.....

I just got off the phone with Papa John...We only talked for a moment or two. His voice was good – definitely John – until I told him all you folks were asking about him and prayers were being said, he broke up for a bit. Then we said good byes and Martha took over.

John sat up several times today after walking to his own chair. What a positive thing that is ---- and he ate a little breakfast and a touch of lunch. Martha said that's the most food he has eaten in nearly three weeks.

One amazing thing – A friend called from Belgium. He had heard John was in the hospital and called immediately. Martha asked if he wanted to talk to him he said yes and right away switched from English to French, which was the gentleman's language. How's that for a brain that is working! All he needs now is some rest.

Way to go, Papa John!!!

Pat

Thanks so much, for that update, Etta Sue!

TAS = Travis Acie Shuford.  Yea, I think of the Tasmanian Devil, too.  That's NOT what he was named after, but that is one of my favorite cartoon characters!  ;D

I am so glad to hear Papa John is doing well.  It is not an easy road, but I'm praying God gives him the strength to press on!

Time for supper!!!!

mieka

:) I love Papa John, He has been a great help to me.  :-[

It is very hard for me to know my friends are sad and in pain.

I pray for him each day and I thank God he is here for me when I did need a help. Now it is my wish to be a help to him, and I do not know how.  :'(

I can only pray that he is soon strong again.

Papa John, I do hope I can one day be a help to others as you have been a help to me. It is my prayer to honor you as my friend.

Sonifo

Great news about Papa John!

Etta Sue~Ranchers in these parts have lightning rods on their houses and barns.  Not sure why us folks in town don't have them.  ::) Now about the T.V. That is way past my time.  I am just a youngen still.  hehhee...

HI Mi and Pat!

Lee Kirkwood

Thanks Pat for the promotion.  Our Lord allows it diferently.   Tests, and tests, and tests, and then we  are promoted. ;)
