Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Hey, I haven't been away from this computer all day.  I'm at work, and thankfully it's been really busy.  I thought I'd take a moment to pop in and say hello to everyone, and say how thankful I am that Papa John is home now.  God bless you.  Jen.

Hey ya'll
Karmat you want green pop corn???  i don't know a way except food coloring and that would make the popcorn soggy!

How many kids does  it take to change a light bulb?

DAAAAAAAD! BULBS GONE!
LOL.

Ruthie

Hi Lee.....   yes it is true about the 18 inches from their head to their heart.   Many people have an intellectual knowledge, but not a heart experience. Some people know ALL the facts, but have never surrendered to the Master.

At Peoples Church there are many cell groups and a special class for New Believers.   I had a class in my home for New Believers about 3 years ago.  It was wonderful.  The young people were hungry to GROW.

It is great that you know all about D. James Kennedy, from Coral Ridge, Florida.    I sometimes hear him on the Christian radio station.   Exciting ministry!

God bless

Karma:  Why do you want popcorn?  Have you tried food coloring?

Oops - I "thought"  I had put the word "green" in here,, and colored it...sorry

I am doing an activity with the Senior Citizens I work with and green popcorn would be great.  I thought of food coloring, but I am afraid the moisture would make it shrivel or be soggy or something.

I'm home from work now, just waiting for my "boys," and trying to figure something out for supper.  Of course, it would probably be better if I were in the kitchen working on it instead of sitting at the computer.

<karmat thinks about it>

nah.

I just posted what i feel to be a rather urgent prayer request in Have you Prayed About It.

Will you look?  :'(

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST

PS -- Pat if you want to edit that to be a link that says prayer request or something, please do, I can't seem to get the code to work.

Pat

Karma, thanks for bringing that Prayer Request here.  I've been seeing it on CNN as well and my heart is breaking over this situation.

Oh, dear.  What a terrible situation.

I'm praying.  If and while Terri dies, this so-called husband of hers should not be allowed to eat.

WELCOME STEVENEYER............

You should feel honored, it isn't often Pat welcomes [new Bees] with TWO photos of herself. ;D

Sue

Karmat, if you were going to be using butter with the popcorn, when you melt it, put some food colouring in with the butter.  You could also try to get those candied sugar sprinkles and sprinkle them in while the popcorn is still hot.  If the seniors aren't going to be eating the popcorn, you could also use spray paint.

If you have a "kernels" it's a popcorn specialty store, you could also ask them for ideas too.

I must go do a bit of banking before I call it a night on the computer and settle in with some cross stitch before bed. Have a great evening everyone!

Karmat..........

You must caramelize it.

I asked Vivian and she said this would work.......

1 cup butter (or margarine)
2 cups (white) sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/2 tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
mix in green coloring until desired color.
6 quarts popped popcorn
Mix well

Pour onto large well greased roasting pan.

Bake at 250 for one hour stiring every 15 min. Remove from oven and cool
Break apart to sizes desired.

I wonder if you were to mix green coloring with water into a spray bottle. Spray the popped corn on a large flat pan, and place it in the oven at 200 and move it around every five or so minutes.  Then mix in the butter and salt.  It would sure be dry this way.

Janet

Karma, I know I have seen green popcorn, but I don't know how it was colored!  Sorry.......but Lee had some good ideas.

I have had a very busy day, but the kitchen is all shiny clean, everything back in place in there and the dining room.  All the dishes in the china closet are clean and back in place, and I also got a couple other things done that have needed attention.  So it is a good feeling.

Sarah, keep making those grades, and soon your average will be up there in the "making Mom proud" range!  ;) Way to go, Sarah!! ;D

Where is our Mieka today?

I haven't answered that email I got yesterday, I am praying about it.  I know I must have struck a nerve, for him to have reacted so angrily.  I just pray the truth penetrates!

Judy M. I got your email and will answer it, just been very busy today.  Sorry.

WELCOME, STEVENAYER!!

Talk to you later!

I am going to have to go back and read again.  Where did this popcorn thing come from.  I have no clue but it sure sounds good.  I will try the carmelized one with red and green for Christmas.

We are home at last, the tummy problems with the girls have settled down, I guess it is my turn.

I met with John tonight before coming home and he is tired and miffed.  He is about out of hours and has to turn and burn.  He needs to be gown in VA (?) before Friday at 3.  It is going to be a push to be there on time let alone stay within the law.  Hours of Service laws are changing.  It is a good thing, and will force companies and shippers to get their act together.

Well time to go and see if sleep will settle supper.

Night all
Judy

Pat wonderful devotional as usual and I have spent a couple of hours reading and catching up on the posts.

Mel drove the grade 7 & 8 's  from Calvary Christian School to Camp Medeba and still had be back home in time for his afternoon school run.  I have the pleasure of going up on Friday and bringing them back.

Prayer and praise for Papa John continue to get well.

Time for me to shut down and head for bed.

Oh, Ruth!

I wish I had known you were going up to Camp Medeba.  My niece and her husband are the Camp Directors and live up there just off the site of the camp.

That's Murray's daughter and son-in-law!  A friend of Jack's and mine started that camp 26 years ago.  We all went to the same church at the time in Richvale south of Richmond Hill.
