I keep getting an error when I try to post saying that I have allready posted this message so I can't post it again, even though the message doesn't show up and then I loose what I have typed.  Anyone know what the problem is?    It only comes when I use quick reply.

I am doing well, just finished cleaning the bathrooms and having a nice relaxing bath In a minute I am going to go next door to have a pizza dinner with my nana (I like vegetarian pizza best).

I did find out yesterday that Anthony is in England That is really neat.  I am not actually from England but I have been there and my family is from there.  And they are scattered, but mostly they were from London and have sort of spread out now.  I had family in Aylesbury until a couple of months ago when they moved to Canada (July) and also I have a lot of family in Surrey.  I have family in Wales as well, in Abergavenny.

They were having a bit of problems the other day with getting into the board and posting, but I think it is all fixed up now, or at least I am not having any problems, but I am unsure if it was everyone or just a few ppl having problems as I wasn't online on that board when Ash sent me the email about the problems lol.  

Anthony, I sent you a PM in response to yours last night, but that silly error message came up again so I am unsure if you received it or not    If you didn't get it please let me know so I can retype it.  If you did: Great! lol

Anthony, I didn't sleep all that well last night, but I didn't have to work today, so was able to rest in between getting some chores done. 

Janet, I'm not sure what I would have done, as many around here who look like they might need something have more than I do.

I did have a productive day overall, I was able to get a few cleaning chores accomplished, got a few resumes sent out.  I have made my shopping list for tomorrow after work, and have done a little on the computer too.  This evening, I think I will try to get the laundry finished up and get some crocheting done.

Night everyone

Again I have been busy since I got home from work. I brought home Versal's laundry and have done that. I got outside and cut down some dead vines that were hanging over my side fence and cut down some other plants that were so tall they were falling over, they will grow back next season. Then I peeled some apples and made an Apple Pie.

I  copied a recipe for the pie crust from a cook book at Fay's that said it was "Easy Pie Dough."  I can't believe that I actually was able to roll it out pretty round and that I didn't have to patch it. it stayed together. I am learning all it takes is practice.

I sure did work up a sweat. So now I am headed for the shower before I fix my supper. Well I guess I'd better wait until the pie is done, it only has about 20 minutes left.

Janet - I certainly would have felt just as you did.  The one problem we often run into with people like that, though, is that as soon as you speak to them they immediately sense that they can get something from you.  But I really think we just have to trust the Lord and show them His love anyway.  After all, hopefully at least, we do it as unto Him - and I know He appreciates it!

Janet, what a great question and discussion topic.

Here in Guelph, I'd feel like doing what you felt like but in downtown Toronto, I'd not be able to do the same thing.  It's just a different kind of city.  Of course in the smaller centres, I wouldn't hesitate to try to help out.  I'm leary of offering money though if I can offer a meal so that the money isn't spent on drugs or whatever.

I'm sure that if we were trying to help as Christians, the Lord Jesus would take care of us.

I had never in my life given money to someone standing with a sign asking for help. But a couple of weeks ago as soon as I saw the man I pulled over and gave him $5. It must have been God because I certainly didn't want to give him the $5. and that is the smallest I had.

I have been blessed so many times I really want to bless them but something always stops me. That's why I think it was a God thing.

Oh I did give someone so change to use the public phone.

I know the bible teaches us to give to the poor, but I must say I struggle at times when I see the poor sitting on the side of street spending any money they have on drugs, alchohal and cigarettes.  I like to give money, but I do it through organizations who help the needy in other countries where they don't have job opportunites and they aren't on drugs.  Although I am pretty sure the bible doesn't say to be selective in the poor we help.  It is upon us to give, and not to judge.  Although, I usually do not keep cash anyway, and use my interact lol.  There are not a lot of homeless in my neighbourhood, but if I go to downtown Vancouver in the evening there are many many there.

Yes, I find too that the interact really leaves ME penniless in my purse.  So often there are cadets, etc. at the doors of the supermarkets and I just don't have the cash to donate to them so I try to get something when I pay for my groceries so that they'll get something on my way out.  LOL 

Hi there, I agree that we are not supposed to be selective in giving, but sometimes it just don't feel right to give money to some of them. I sometimes buy them food and somehow that feels better, because then they don't have money to spend on drugs and alcohol.
