JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

PAPA JOHN GOD BLESS YOU.  WELCOME HOME.

Ruthie

Everyone ......TURN BACK YOUR CLOCKS TONIGHT !

You probably already know  --  we can stay in bed an extra hour.    Great eh!

Love Ruthie
The Lord is my light and my salvation Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Ps. 27:1

Sonja ~ The words to that song is great.  I think I am lyric illiterate...I listen to the music and really have to concentrate to understand the words to songs that I hear.  It is really helpful for me to 'see' the words on the overhead at church.  I am not a musician or a singer.  Our memory verse last week for our small group was...'For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.'  Eph. 2:10.  We were told to learn it by singing it to 'Jesus Loves Me'.  For the life of me, I couldn't remember how the tune went to the verse.  I only remembered the chorus and it didn't fit.  Now do you believe me when I say I am music/lyric illiterate?????.........Fess up, Sonja.  How many chili's did you sample????

Rachelle ~ Thanks for your profile photo!  Now we can 'see' who we are talking to!!!!  Great photo!

Iain ~
Quote'The way of salvation is simple, it is us who complicate it.'
This is sooooo true.  Why can't we just accept that God loves us unconditionally and quit analizing ourselves as to why He does or why He shouldn't?

Chris ~ Thanks for the link to "I Can Only Imagine".  If you read above, you will find that I am music/lyric illiterate.  BUT when hearing it, I have heard that song.  Now I need to go to my CD's and see if I have it!  If not, I will get it!

Sarah ~ That is neat about God and Moses and the computer!!!  Funny!!!

Lee ~ 4-H kids here in Indiana show Llamas.  Llama farming is getting to be the norm here.  The kids don't own the llama they work with.  They are introduced about 2 months before showing.  It is neat.  They dress up the llama and themselves.  I remember once it was Little Miss Muffet and the llama had a spider outfit on.  Some will put hats on them...llamas don't like their ears touched and shirts and pants on their front legs...they don't like their legs touched either.  Those usually gets the highest marks because of the costume.  They also take them through an obstacle course.  Really neat to watch how these kids and the llamas work together. Now what costumes do you have for your three?

I had better get so I can go to bed early so I can get up early so I can get to Jerry's so we can get to church on time!!!!

Pat

Hi Everyone...

I didn't go to the concert.

I woke up today with a niggling headache!  I took tylenol, etc. but it was still there as of 7 pm so I thought that since it was drizzling and I'd have a long walk from where I'd have to park, etc. I actually talked myself out of going!

I've just completed another PSP lesson from Week 1!

Ruthie, they have lots and lots of llamas around here our part of Ontario.  They are very common on the Bruce Trail to carry people's ruck sacks.  When I absolutely have to leave Geordie in a kennel, I leave him at a place where they have both llamas and emus.

Evening folks.

I am off to get a book from the bookstore.

Sonifo crosses her fingers and hopes they have it.

Etta Sue~ I sampled about 30 different chilis and 30 different salsas.  I was so sick of chili when I left.   :-X  Until next year.  ;D

I will come back to read the rest of the posts.  I better scoot before the store closes.

Janet

Dear friends,
Thank you so much for all the caring messages for me and Beth.  I love and appreciate all of you so much.

I spent an awesome day in the presence of the Lord, and He has lifted the burden so that I can now think about Beth's problems without crying.  I think she does know that she may not be able to walk much longer, and I will find opportunity in the next few days to pray with and talk to her.  The leaders of the prayer seminar I attended today gave me a little book (two of them, one for me and one for Beth) called "God's Creative Power for Healing" by Charles Capps.  It is chock full of scriptures on healing.

I have been standing in faith for Beth's healing since she was four years old, and I am not giving up now!  But I also know that I cannot pray the prayer of faith FOR her now; that she has to be in agreement, and we pray the prayer of agreement.  So I need to get into the secret place with the Father and strengthen my faith, and encourage Beth to do the same.  She does maintain a good attitude; she has never been one to feel sorry for herself, nor to give up.

One positive thing about yesterday's doctor visit is that he now has concrete evidence of her disability, which should be a deciding factor in her getting her Social Security Disability.  Having financial stress really adds to her problem.

The Lord is dealing with me in this time of crisis, and I pray that I learn whatever I need to know without murmuring and complaining.  I usually am a positive person, and I know God loves Beth even more than I do, so I surrender her to his loving care.

A special thanks to those of you who took time to send emails today.  God bless your loving hearts!

I will share more about this journey as it unfolds.

Papa John it is wonderful to see you posting again and may you continue your recovery.  Jerry the same applies to you!  Love you both!

Gosh, I was tired last night.  I don't know why, I hadn't done anything extra, but every now and then it just seems to catch up with me.

Tonight's better, though.  ;D

Rachell, it's great to see how you've jumped right in and become part of the "gang" and I love your picture.

Janet, I'm late with this I know and others have said it much better than I can, but my opinion is Beth should be told about her condition.  She will see the progress of the nerve damage whether or not she's told and it would seem to me it would be less frightening if she knows the reason and has an idea what to expect.  Of course the final answer is that you must let the Holy Spirit lead you in what to say and when to say it.  You have Gene's and my prayers, dear Janet, as does Beth.

Janet, you were posting while I was getting my post ready.   :-\  The main thing is for you to know that Gene and I are holding you before the Throne.

I forgot to say how wonderful it is to see such an "upbeat" post from Papa John!

Here I am with another WOW!  I didn't make it to CP yesterday, and was "wowed" by all the messages.  :)  I love it here.  Yep!

Janet, I read your message, then the messages of love back to you, then again, finally to yours today.  My heart was so saddened with the news the doctor gave you(Beth), and I was encouraged by all the support our dear brothers and sisters here gave you.  And now I am encouraged to pray with fervency for Beth and you......that the Perfect Will of God be accomplished in Beth......body, soul and spirit.  I pray also that she can truly enter into that holy sanctuary where each must meet with our Lord, heart to heart...the place for only two.  I so agree with you that she needs to be able to do this for herself.    I will sure by praying with you, honey.  And praying for you, mom.  Your burdon is truly heavy, but you know the great Burden Bearer, and you are blessed.  And you are a blessing. :)

Oh, how I love the song, I Can Only Imagine.  I got chill bumps the first time I heard it, and cried like a baby.  Because I  could not imagine.  As close as I've felt to the Lord's Love, I cannot imagine standing in His Presence in actuality.  I have wondered, would I sing to Him?  Would I want to worship the way He has given me to do on earth?  Would new songs come from an overflowing heart?  When I think of it now, I doubt it. I think words would never suffice.  I think I would fall at his feet and cry and cry and cry.  I would hold his feet, and cry.  I think only He could lift my head, and our eyes would meet.  To see His face.  To see His sweet Face.  I can only imagine.

There were so many neat posts I wanted to comment on, and now I have forgotten who said what. ??? ???

The discussion on angels was really great.  Know what I liked best?  I liked that it was all in love and we were able to read and be blessed instead of wishing we had never even come here.  Like in another place some used to post.

 CP, I LOVE YOU!!

The girls, Kim and Angel, are at home this weekend.  No workers at the house to get sawdust in Kim's eyes.  They'll be back Monday, however, but Paul has promised her that the workers have promised him that it would be finished early next week. :)

ok....gotta go check out the rest of CP.   I love you all.....every one of you.  I agree with Nard, and probably most of you here, this is my favorite place online!!

oh....one more thing.  My camera made it to Cypress, CA, but I haven't heard from Olympus yet.  Maybe next week.  I am, as you know, cameraless at the moment.

I WILL set my clock back before I go to bed.  Thanks for the reminders.

oh...one MORE thing.  Marilyn, I'm so happy for you that you're getting a new computer.  I have a Dell too.  It blew up, sorta, before the warrenty was up, and they actually sent extra parts to my tech, because they weren't sure what she (yes, gentlemen....I said SHE)would need.  They were wonderful. She sent back what she didn't need.  They trusted her to do that. Cool, no?

Wonderful, Pat!  I didn't realize there were so many different projects for each lesson.

PAPA JOHN.....it's so great seeing your post.

I can see everyone was busily posting while I was editing my post.  I started PSP lessons, but haven't kept with them this time.   I'll go check out your work, Pat.

Nita

I didn't realize we had lessons HERE!  Wow.  Pretty soon I won't have to go anywhere else at all. haha  Everything will be right here.  Wait.......everything that matters already is right here. :)

Pat

Thanks Jeanne!

Yes, there are 10 for each Week.

But you have to hand in at least six to get your certificate at the end.

I was hoping to get all 10 done but with my other things in life, I don't seem to have enough time!  LOL

Whew!  Now I know why I didn't sign up for any of the lessons!   ;D

I bought the book Etta Sue had recommended and the journel and daily inspiration books that goes with it. My family and I have signed the agreement to stick with it for 40 days.  I am so excited to get started!

Pat~
Those are beautiful! I would love to do that but I would like some time to get it done.  It is to much for me right now.  Why can't we just try to do 1 or 2 a week?  hmmm...oh well. I guess I will have to wait to do cool graphics.  ;)

Hi Janet! ((((hug))))

Hi Nita! No camera!  I would go nuts!  I will pray for you. hehehehe... ;) Have you decided what to get yet or even come closs?

I better scoot.  We rented some movies.  Have a good nite and day tomorrow folks.

Hi Everyone..

PATgreat job on those lessons--i couldn't figure out how to get the lace behind the heart lol-I will post mine later.

I have had a very hard day emotionally here-some things happened last night that was very hurtful-I won't go into details but-today I was drained emotionally-I just could use alot of christian hugs and encouragement right now-through it all-sometimes I find it very hard to continuelly being the discipling parent-however I know that Gods word says we must do it-its very draining sometimes..I have one child that I would say is more high maintenance and strong willed then all of my others-during all of this emotional time-I went to wash my face in the bathroom and went to put some cleanser on and splashed quite alot in my right eye-I ended up going into the dr.(eye dr. )for an emergency check-as It was very painful. He didn't see any damage but, put an antiseptic drop in my eye and flushed them out some more..He sent me home with some eye drops to use-for the next 4 days.
What a day....But, I know I have the victory and our God reigns..
Its just been a hard one..
Im praying for all of you..
Hugs
Rachelle

Hahah!  I had to laugh out loud at that, Sonja!  Me too!  I'd already packed down my camera on my bike and was sitting watching the black clouds swirling in the sky - wishing I still had my camera out.  So I know what you mean!

RACHELLE!!!

There's a couple of group hugs for you.  I'm so sorry.  We'll be remembering you in prayer for sure.

Re the PSP, you drag the lace layer on your layer palette to be UNDER the heart.

Try that.

They left off "Go to your layer palette"

PAINT SHOP PRO FUNNIES!!!
[/b][/size]
As many of you know, some of us participate on SeniorNet.  Well, we've had the biggest laugh in our Photos area on SN today.

Papa John posted this photo of himself yesterday!

"Down to 170 lbs. old Papa John got a haircut and beard trim yesterday. "

Well, one lady was so thrilled to see him back posting she posted this of him:

Having met Papa John in Atlanta several years ago, I posted that I thought that there was a photo somewhere around of Papa John actually kissing me.

Well, you can imagine the conversation following this.  And then one of the ladies posted this!

"Yesterday Pat said...."Agnes, what a hoot you are! I love it! Don't you have one of Papa John and me doing just that? HAHAHAHA!" Agnes responded..."Patz I don't have a picture of you smooching Papa John. I have a beginning to or after, but no evidence. (~_~)" Well I knew if I could dig deep enough into the depths of my computer that I had the makings of the "middle" and today after much thought, I found it. Here is Bunnie's imagined "evidence!"

Then Papa John saw this and posted:

HELP

NORM, HELP, HELP, HELP, HELP, HELP HELP HEL.GLUB. . . .

Papa John

And with that, one of the fellows in Texas (who originally got all of us started on Paint Shop Pro) posted this!

Now, it's time to lock the door!  That was our laugh for tonight!
