Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

"The clothes we wear are what people see. Only God can look on the heart. The outward signs are important. They reveal something of what is inside. If charity is there, it will become visible outwardly, but if you have no charitable feelings, you can still obey the command. Put it on as simply and consciously as you put on a coat. You choose it; you pick it up; you put it on. This is what you want to wear."
Elisabeth Elliot

Morning Devotional...

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance; against such there is no law.
Galatians 5:22-23

The Lord Jesus always displayed the fruit of the Spirit.

All nine were evenly displayed at all times in His life. It didn't matter the circumstance. Even when they pulled the beard from His cheeks.

Even when they spat in His blessed face.

Even when they nailed Him to a Roman cross. "Father forgive them for they know not what they do" reveals the fragrance of this Spirit filled Man.

May the Holy Spirit reveal Him to us today and cause us to worship.
—Paul Robertson

In Thee most perfectly expressed,
the Father's glories shine;
Of the full Deity possessed,
eternally divine.

Good night /morning all!

That was a wonderful quote by Elizabeth Elliiott Pat.  Sometimes it is a little difficult to get that message to our young people.

Yes woohoo I am going to the Gaithers!  I cannot wait.  We were at Massy Hall the first time they came to Toronto, it has been quite a circle.

My memory is gone, I have old timers.  I have been wanting to tell a friend something for a couple of days now and everytime we talk my mind blanks.  It is so frustrating.

Pat do you think we could sing "Who is On The Lord's Side" again?

Pleasant dreams everyone.  I am off to bed.

G'night JudyB. Have a good night and pleasant dreams.

Hi, everyone.  I'm here late.  I'm whispering here because if Janet is able to sleep, I don't want to wake her.  I sure hope she has a better night than last night.

Papa John, I hope your eyes are feeling "ungritty" really soon, and you can get back to your actively-taking-it-easy life. :)

Larry, you are in my thoughts tonight.  I'm sure we're all praying for you.

Janet, I'm sorry to hear that Beth is not feeling well.  I bet if she knew how hard and long you and Darrel have been working on her place, she'd feel worse.  She didn't know it was that bad, did she?  But when she comes home, her home will be in great condition.

Welcome to our newcomers.  Dreamer, I looked at your pictures.  I especially like the one of "My Girl".

We'll have a birthday here soon.  On September 15 Ty and Rocko will be one year.  This last year has gone so quickly.  They're such company for me.  I think my daughter, Kim ,might get them a doggie couch.  :)   They have so many toys now, but just like kids, always run to play with the new ones.  I'll wash and rotate I think.  For those who arent'  "dog people" this probably sounds silly.  That's ok.  I used to be one of you. haha

Sue, that job must not have been for you.  You might get interested in having the new computers where you are now.  I know you're leaving it in the Lord's hands, and going through doors as He opens them.

Marilyn, that's not ok!   I'm sorry you fell.  How is your hand now?

Nice weather here today.  It's definately cooler at night and in the morning.   Fall is here!

I guess I'm ready for bed too.  Blessings and peace and rest in Christ.   love, nita

Janet

Thanks, Nita!  I appreciate not being awakened---and I SLEPT LAST NIGHT!!!  Praise the Lord!  I hadn't even finished my Bible reading and got really drowsy, so turned off the light and didn't wake until 5:30 this morning!!  And I do feel so much better; still tired, but much better.

Today I am going to Liberal and my sweet daughter Diane (Abby's mom) is going to take off work and go with me.  We will have a nice time together, I know that because we always do.  I plan to get back to Hugoton in time to visit Abby at school again.  That will make her happy.

No, I don't think Beth realized fully how bad her place was getting.  For sure, we didn't.  I can't wait to get through with it, it is just a nightmare, and so much hard work.  I have thrown away huge garbage can after huge garbage can of junk, too, so she will have a more open, much cleaner, lighter and freer feeling living space.  And she'd better appreciate it, too!!  Well, I'm sure she will.  I am just feeling so frustrated over her health problems plus all this mess.  It has been a very stressful time for me.  I love and appreciate Darrel SO much.  He's been a rock, works so hard to keep Beth going, and doesn't lose his temper with all the problems we are dealing with.  Thank you God, for a wonderful husband.

Yep, Fall is in the air!  The skins on the tomatoes are getting tough, the weeds are browning, and there's that crisp, brisk feeling in the early morning air.  I love the changing of the seasons.

Papa John and Larry, my prayers for you continue.

Good Morning Everyone...

This is how I feel today...

I need to get a cup of coffee!  HAHAHA!  My meeting last night was longer that we planned and then had to come home and do a few things around the various websites.

I'm so glad that you slept last night, Janet.  I didn't so thought about you and prayed for all of our CP members till I finally dropped off--but it was getting light outside.   :o

Good Morning I too am so thankful for the wonderful nights rest God gave me last night I feel so "Revived" today and so Grateful to my Papa. The wrist still hurts but not as much as yesterday The healing power of God is flowing through my body every minute. I did go get an Ace Wrist Brace and wore it to bed, I took it off sometime during the night.

Revival starts tonight at church and I am so glad that my cold seems to be almost over, I will be able to lay on hands and pray for others tonight. I will also stop by the other house  before I go to the Church to see how the work is coming along and check my mailbox, I got the mailbox key yesterday from the Post Office.

Janet I am so happy to hear that God gave you the rest you needed last night. God Bless you sister.

Pat that is what I do when I can't sleep. Pray for everyone I can think of.

Nita I know how much you love your little dogs. I have lots of stuffies laying around the house and often have to get new ones because  my two get rough with them. I have little birthday parties for them on their birthdays. They will get a special treat on their day. They have me so well trained. I have certain cupboard where I keep their doggy cookies. Bebe will go to the back door and ask to go out when I get up from my chair she runs to the cupboard. She  butts the cupboard with her nose and barks at me. Happy will growl at me and stick his head under my arm to get me up and ask for treats. Each one has a different approach and personality. I could go on and on about them but won't bore the rest of you. they are going to love their new home with the big yard.

God is so good He made me wait until my house was vacated and then He is making me wait until it is completely remodeled so that I will have a brand new house just like no one has lived in it before. I am so thankful for the unanswered prayers of asking for other places that were not quite what I wanted in the first place. He has given me more than I expected to receive and the peace that passes all understanding while  have waited. I had faith in my Father that He would grant my request. Amen.

The words of this hymn have been a blessing to me very often during the last ten years.  As I was thinking of Larry and what he's been going through, I just know that Larry is experiencing this Grace.

.

He Giveth More Grace
(Click to hear music)

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee:
for my strength is made perfect in weakness.
Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities,
that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
2 Corinthians 12:9

Author:  Annie Johnson Flint, 1866-1932
Musician:  Hubert Mitchell

He giveth more grace when the burdens grow greater;
He sendeth more strength when the labors increase.
To added affliction He addeth His mercy;
To multiplied trials, His multiplied peace.

His love has no limit, His grace has no measure,
His pow'r has no boundary known unto men;
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus,
He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again!

When we have exhausted our store of endurance,
When our strength has failed ere the day is half done,
When we reach the end of our hoarded resources,
Our Father's full giving is only begun.

I am finally up.  This flu thing I have is finally leaving and I am beginning to feel better.

It is another beautiful day.  The hills still have a light mist on them, it is so pretty to look at.

Janet I am glad you slept, your body needed to catch up.  Have a good day away from the work and stress,   Have fun with your daughter.

Marilyn be careful of the wrist and where you step.  As we get older the healing process takes longer.

I had a phone call last night from our missionary in Spain Nick.  He is in Canada for a year teaching at the Bible College in Kitchener.  I had invited him to speak at our ladies meeting in October.   We are opening it up to the men as well and are having a weiner/corn roast here at the farm.  It will be a time of celebration for everyone.  Now to clean out the fire pit and get it ready foor fire, perhaps the timng to do is start a gire and let the weeds burn off.  The last time it was used another family member prepared it.  I hope we can stil get Corn on the Cob.  We will need abour 5 - 6 doxen I think?  Well that will be sorted out too.  Nick is bringing his young son as well. The children will have a huge area to exp;ore and play in.  :D

Bye for now I have phone calls to make.

Love Judy

Hi everyone.  I didn't have to stay in the hospital last night and we got home around 6 pm.  My procedure went well but I discovered it wasn't the piece of cake I had been led to believe it to be.  I am sure all will be fine in a couple of days.  I have to keep my left arm in a sling for 4 weeks to allow time for the vein to grow around the little wires that go into the two lower chambers of my heart.

I had a terrible time during the night as it is very painful.  I took a pain pill but was trying to avoid awakening Pat during the night and did have to arise one time.  I finally managed to get up but when I laid back down I couldn't find a comfortable way to lay.  Finally about 5 am I got up but had to have help from Pat as I couldn't pull myself up.  She also had to help me get dressed.  I took a full pain pill and came out to sit in my easy chair and the pain pill put me to sleep and covered up the pain.  Of course, it has basically worn off now but want to see if I can't get along without it.  I discovered I could drag my laptop up close to me where I can type with my left-hand fingers rather than the one finger typing I was trying to do.

Hopefully I will be feeling better by this evening and I will feel up to writing a little more.  I expect I will just rest in my easychair today and probably sleep out here tonight as I can get up and down in the chair.

Janet amd Marilyn, glad to see you both got a good nights sleep.

Etta Sue

I am rushing through today so I didn't keep notes....so ditto to what everyone else has said to others today...tee hee.

For all of you who have health/medical problems and procedures, I am praying you are all back to your normal activities soon.  God Bless You All.

My thigh pain is all gone.  Yep, standing does me no good at all.  So when I see a chair, I will sit!!!

The movie "March of the Penguins" was fantabulous.  I loved it!  Such  great photography, such a story...sad...happy...funny...and educational.  Who thinks a movie has to be PG-13 or worse to be great?  A G rated documentary is just as great if not more.  I went with my foursome that attends the Beef and Boards.  After the movie we all went to 'Claude and Annie's' to eat.  We all had the special...10oz. T-Bone steaks but each of us had different fixings.  Marge and I share the same birthday but she was in New Jersey attending the graduation of her granddaughter from the Coast Guard on our birthday.  So the evening was Ivalou's birthday gift to Marge.  Betty and I went along for the fun of it and it was fun.   :D

I fell asleep watching TV when I got home so I got up and went to bed.  A great night's rest.

Today I didn't have anything planned but my SIL called and asked if I would play Euchere in her place this afternoon.  Ivalou is subbing for someone also so we are going to play Euchere.  That will be fun....after I remember how to play again.

Good morning everyone and WELCOME to Christian photographers.

The devotion has really hit home with me because, as of late, God has been working with me on the "temperance" or self-control part.  When you really think about that one, a lot of things in life start to look a little out of perspective.

Love youns.

Gotta run back to work.

QuotePapa John, I hope your eyes are feeling "ungritty" really soon, and you can get back to your actively-taking-it-easy life. Smiley

Thank you Nita.  I think I am about ready to get back to "taking it easy."   My eye is feeling much better today and I can really tell the difference.  Everything is whiter and brighter through my new eye.  I go back to the doctor on Friday.

Pat, whew, I'm glad I don't feel THAT bad this morning.  But then I have had my coffee, cereal, and orange juice and it is almost time for lunch.

Marilyn, I am happy for you as you get ready to move to your new house.

Larry, I hope you do have a better night tonight.  I pray that everything goes well for you in the days to come.

Etta Sue, we also enjoyed "March of the Penguins".  The whole movie gave me a greater appreciation of God's creation.  The amazing ability of the Penguins to protect their young and to share this burden is wonderful.

Karmat, good to see you.  I hope you will not work too hard today.

Acts 7:59-60
59   While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit."
60   Then he fell on his knees and cried out, "Lord, do not hold this sin against them." When he had said this, he fell asleep.  (NIV)

Pat, if you are referring to Ophelia, I think it is too "small" to cause anything but some clouds stuff.  If there is another one after that, I haven't heard about it yet. ;)

I cannot think of anything else to say . . .one of those days.

Good luck on the job search, Sarah.

These storms are really a bother aren't they?  Their time is coming to an end the season is passing.

Papa John The eye drops will take that sandy feel out of your eye.  You will soon see very well.

Larry that is quite an ordeal you have gone through.  I pray you will be on top of things again soon.

Pat no success in finding that hymn?  ok another time then.  I am sure we sang it before.  I will do some searching too.

Kassie just handed me a wonderful BIG cup of tea.  Anyone want to join me?  Now a donut would be perfect with it!

Bye for now

I'm home!  Had a very nice day with Diane and got to Abby's school 15 minutes before she got out.  They were celebrating her birthday today.  It is really July 14, but they let each kid who has a summer birthday choose what day they want to celebrate at school.  Neat!

Some stupid judge in California has again ruled the Pledge of Allegiance to be unconstitutuional!  >:( >:( >:( Grrrrr.........God, please allow Godly people to be confirmed for our Supreme court!

Larry, I'm so happy to see you were able to post today, but sorry that you've been having such pain.  I pray for a much better night for you tonight.

Papa John, good news on you eye!

I need to see about a bit of supper before church time.  See you tomorrow.

Papa John

Pat, Ophelia's path is North and then east and we will get nothing here from her.  We did get a lot of rain from Katrina.  She was good for us but bad for the coastal area.  It will be months and even years I expect for New Orleans to get over it.

I'm sure the event at the nursing home where over 30 elderly people died has been one of the worse stories to come from Katrina.  It is so sad to think of those elderly people, mothers, grandmothers, fathers, and grandfathers who had no chance.  They couldn't do anything for themselves and those who had been trusted with their care went off and left them to drown.

We are getting ready to go to our mid-week service.  Cornelia and I have already done our reading for tonight.  We are in Hosea and before long we will be coming down the homestretch, our third year to read the Bible through to each other out loud.

Hosea 4:1-3
1   Hear the word of the LORD, you children of Israel, for the LORD brings a charge against the inhabitants of the land: "There is no truth or mercy or knowledge of God in the land.
2   By swearing and lying, killing and stealing and committing adultery, they break all restraint, with bloodshed upon bloodshed.
3   Therefore the land will mourn; and everyone who dwells there will waste away with the beasts of the field and the birds of the air; even the fish of the sea will be taken away.  (NKJ)

Hosea didn't mince any words as he spoke of God's judgment upon Israel.

Good to see you all today.

That was really good Papa John I wish more preachers would preach that way not mincing any words about what happens to the people when they don't pay attention to Gods warnings in the Bible. I am getting tothe point where I want to hear some Fire and Brimstone obey or pay the price type of  preaching.

Well I am going to get ready for church and for Revival Yay Hallelujah I won't be back tonight it will probably be late when I get back home.

Tomorrow Jan is taking me out to lunch after I get done at her house in the morning. It is my one year anniversary of working for her. She is a special lady of 92 yrs young she is the one that my DIL sarah also works for she knows all the family that is here. She always makes a big deal of special dates.

I've been a few days looking for a battery.

The battery in my laptop seemed to stop working and I found out that I could get a new one.  But the problem is too that my laptop just wouldn't work without that battery in the compartment and I took it out and put it in a "safe place".  Do you ever do that?  Then you can't find that "safe place"?

Well, I've been looking all day today for that "safe place" and finally my friend who helps me with the computer when he's available told me to bring it over as he wonders if it's a faulty power supply rather than the battery and he's going to check it out.

Well, I've prayed all day asking the Lord to show me the "safe place" that I put that batter as it's so very expensive ($185.00 Can.) to replace.

I just packed up the computer (laptop) and put it in the case and there was the battery in the case!  Thank you Lord!  I know He helped me.  I felt such a peace when I started to pack up the laptop into the bag.

By His presence all divine?
True and tender, pure and precious,
O how blest to call Him mine!

All that thrills my soul is Jesus;
He is more than life to me;

Love of Christ so freely given.
Grace of God beyond degree,
Mercy higher than the heaven,

What a wonderful redemption!
Never can a mortal know
How my sin, tho' red like crimson,
Can be whiter than the snow.

Every need His hand supplying,
Every good in Him I see;
On His strength divine relying,
He is all in all to me.

By the crystal flowing river
With the ransomed I will sing,
And forever and forever
Praise and glorify the King.

Oh, Larry...I am praying you have a better night tonight.

Papa John....those drops will get the grit out.  Each day will be better.  And isn't that the way...what is a curse for some areas is a blessing for others.  I am talking about Katrina and the needed rain in Nashville.

Pat...I was going to tell you that you would find that battery right where you put it!!  I see you found it.  Were you like me....kept going back to the same places you already looked to see if it miraculously would appear?  I was looking for a sheet blanket to cover up with to take a nap on the day bed.  Looked in three closets, drawers everywhere but couldn't find it.  Went back to the three closets and drawers.  Finally I picked up the pillow on the daybed and there it was.  I think I even looked around to see if anyone was guffawing at my stupidity!!

Marilyn....the lady I took to the doctor last week will be 96 next Monday.  She gets around better than I do except I can see better than she does.  And she can hear a pin drop...nothing wrong with her hearing or memory.  And really in good health!

Janet...I heard that on the TV tonight about Californina and the Pledge of Allegiance.  But it isn't a law in Indiana and they are still allowing it here, thank God.  I think it is great to go to school musicals and hear hymns being sung and played.  A lot of Christian students 'meet at the pole' every morning before school.  The flag pole to have prayer before school.  Glad you got to spend time with Abby...I know she is very special to you.  Hope you have another great night's sleep tonight.

JudyB....yes, I will take a cuppa tea!  Wouldn't it be great to do just that?  Share a cuppa tea or coffee with all our cyberfriends at anytime we wish.  Watch out...it could happen!

Karma...It won't be long until the busy time of year will be your way....fall in the Smokies is beautiful.  Get your camera out and take those little ones out leaf looking, okay?

Sarah...hope you find a job exactly what you want.  Enjoying your work is the best asset to working....well, next to the money.

I'll be back later!!

JudyB

Pat I really know how you feel when that happens.  Like John with his loss, then found.  You know I always pray that God can see everything and can see where I put the thing.  I ask that he open my eyes to the location of the lost item.  He always does and always on time.

Elizabeth had a really strange assignment for language today.   She had to write a biography of a STONE! ! !  I have never heard of such an assignment.  She was to give the stones age, characteristics, and history.  She brought in the young earth that Dr. Morris teaches about.  She did well, but I suspect the teacher won't be too impressed as they are taught evolution.  The last line in her Bio' was that all this stone wants to do is praise God!  Woohoo I think she got the point.

Just finished watching the Canadian Idol.   Theresa won, she has a terrific voice.  It would be awesone if that voice were used to God's glory.

Yes Etta Sue that would be awesome!

I am tired tonight.  So Good night all

Love to you all and God bless

Here it is the middle of the week,we had enough rain to cover the ground although a little to the west they got much more.

The fruit and veg. season is nearing an end so now it is a daily job to put some of the tomatoes in jars - apples into pies and applesauce.

Soon I will headed for a nite of rest.
