Don: Hey Judy, It's been a long time. Hope you are doing well. 2024-12-02, 22:41:41

JennyW: Hello Everyone! Just checking in to see if anyone wants to get this group going again! Hope all is well where ever you live! 2024-08-14, 08:21:59

Oldiesmann: I'm not aware of any Jenny. Not sure why activity has died down on this site so much though 2023-06-12, 00:06:36

JennyW: Also, does anyone know other photo sharing sites that are Christian? 2023-05-16, 08:47:03

JennyW: Hello Everyone! I really miss activity on this site. I've been discouraged by photography sites where you have to sort through so much explicit content in order to see photos that truly glorify God. I'd love to see this site pick up again. 2023-05-16, 08:46:36

Janet: Carol, I am just reading this.  So sorry for your loss, glad your beloved Don knew the Lord and you have the assurance of his eternity  and that you WILL see him again.  Much love to you.  Janet 2022-06-18, 08:49:36

Oldiesmann: So sorry for your loss Carol. Praying for you and your family :( 2022-05-01, 17:13:05

Morning Devotional...

I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify Him with thanksgiving. This also shall please the Lord better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs.
Psalm 69:30-31

To "please the Lord better" should be our constant aim. Opportunities to do so are always at hand! We ought not to delay, imagining that some day some special circumstance will make it possible to "please Him better."

Today, sincere praise and thanksgiving will delight His ear, even more than other offerings which, to the natural mind, appear so impressive and costly.

"Whoso offereth praise glorifieth Me" (Ps. 50:23).
--G. Hall

Praise the Saviour, ye who know Him,
Who can tell how much we owe Him?
Gladly let us render to Him, all we are and have.

Praise the Saviour, Ye Who Know Him
(Click to hear music)

We thank Thee,
and praise Thy glorious Name.
1 Chronicles 29:13

Words: Thomas Kelly
Music: Acclaim, traditional German melody

Praise the Savior, ye who know Him!
Who can tell how much we owe Him?
Gladly let us render to Him
All we are and have.

Jesus is the Name that charms us,
He for conflict fits and arms us;
Nothing moves and nothing harms us
While we trust in Him.

Trust in Him, ye saints, forever,
He is faithful, changing never;
Neither force nor guile can sever
Those He loves from Him.

Keep us, Lord, O keep us cleaving
To Thyself, and still believing,
Till the hour of receiving
Promised joys with Thee.

Then we shall be where we would be,
Then we shall be what we should be,
Things that are not now, nor could be,
Soon shall be our own.

Good morning everyone.

Thanks to Larry(I think it was)who first mentioned the free powerpoint viewer, and Etta Sue for adding the link.  I downloaded it just now.  I think Jane tried to send me something that needed that, and I couldn't see it.  If you still have it Jane, you can send it again. :)

A cool morning.  I've been up since 4 am.  Had a good time with Father, and now am checking email and subs before I hop in the shower.

I am going to a once in a lifetime event today.  My grandson in having his FIRST SOCCER GAME.  He called to let me know.  A first Soccer game is important. :)  Of course, gramma is taking her camera.

There isn't much happening here in my little corner.  Fall is surely in the air, but we are having lots of sunny dry days.  It's that time of the year where you just feel everything stop for awhile.  Fall is that waiting time, I believe. :)  I enjoy the quietness and peace it seems to bring, both in the natural and spiritually.   Seems everything accelerates about the end of October...with Thanksgiving, Christmas, winter rain.  And suddenly 2006 will be over.  God, all through the Bible, used seasons and times, and He certainly has His very own calendar. :)  And that not the one we use every day.  We discern the times and seasons by His Spirit in us.   Praise God!

Seems I'm less and less at the computer.   I like to come and see what you're all doing, but don't have a lot to say.  Just quiet I guess.

Blessings,  nita

Good Morning I looks like I am first to get here it is 6:22AM PST. I  am pretty sure that l is up already and having his coffee too. Well today is housecleaning day for me  did my laundry last night. I am taking my next door neighbor to work today and picking her up at 5 PM, but this afternoon I want to mow down the dandelions. Also I want to get back to work on my quilt and so some PSPing. Maybe I will get to all that, most importantly it is my day off and I want to take it easy and relax and take the dogs for their walks.

Liz i saved the Power Point  presentation that you sent me that was hilarious and some of those had to be super imposed, especially the one of the dog jumping for the Frisbee out over the Grand Canyon.

Has anyone heard from Papa John lately?  ???

Ps. Nita you snuck in while I was composing, Enjoy that firstSoccer Game I have yet to see one of my Grandson's Soccer games.

Hi everyone.  I have a few minutes so will post before we head out to go to the airport.  I took the cat to the vet for boarding and then stopped for coffee.  We are all packed and the suitcases in the trunk of the car.  Now we are just waiting for the arrival of Rod, who is taking us to the subway in our car and will then put our car back in the garage and take his car back to his house.  Our son and daughter-in-law will spend the night here on Wednesday and Thursday and the neighbor has the key to keep and eye on things.  We have the water turned off on the water, the icemaker turned off and things unplugged so everything should be fine.  I am leaving my computer on so I can use LogMeIn.com to access it from the libraries in Independence and Kansas City.  I just checked and there is a library close to where my sister-in-law lives so that should work out well.  I am sure they will have computers available.

Sure glad to read that Judy McKenzie is being transferred to where Norm is as perhaps he will be able to see her.

Nita, the PowerPoint reader is something everyone should have on their computer.  It is not something we use daily but occasionally and it works very well.

Marilyn, it is nice of you to take your neighbor to work and pick her up.  Don't overwork in your yard today.

Pat, thanks for the devotional.  Hope it isn't too chilly up your way.  My Pat just said we may have some rough weather to fly through today.  Just hope the plane gets off on time but no one will be waiting for us at the airport so it isn't something to worry about.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.  Be back when I can.

I was up later than normal and now I am feeling tired and it is only noon.

Marilyn:  I had a peek at your web site for the first time it is lovely you have a large family,  in my mind they can be so much fun compared to mine which is small.

Last evening Sue & I met to have dinner together and as usual I had to call her to let her know I got home safe & sound.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.  Proverbs 3:6

Not many posts to read.

So many folks are not checking in.  Where's Nard and Karma.  I wonder how Papa John is.

Well, I'm off to Toronto to meet up with Ruthie and then it most likely will be after midnight or 1 am before I'm home so I'll chat with you all tomorrow.

Haven't checked in in  a while.  Not feeling well lately...having a 2nd bout of vertigo.  Worse this time than the one 2 mos ago.  Better today than yesterday and hopefully better tomorrow than today.  Being woosy and having an upset stomach all the time is not fun.

I received some bad news yesterday.  A life-long friend has liver cancer and has been given 2 months to live.  I'm going to see him tomorrow and want to share my faith with him and give him hope. Please pray for me, my friend and my visit.  (I'll be at his house around 3 PM EDT)

I'm praying Ed.  I have posted a reply in the other forum as well.  God is STILL in control. Just trust Him to do all things well.

Thank you for the reminder that I may not be the one to lead Bob to Christ.  My thoughts had been, "How or what can I say that will cause him to to accept Jesus."

I know/knew all along that it is God's plan and not mine.  I just could not help wanting him to know Jesus before he expired.

Hi - just a few minutes before we leave.   It is a glorious day with snow on the mountain tops to the west and the sun is shining.  Thank you Lord for your beautiful nature scenes we see daily.

Marilyn:  Hello - My right hand is aching from sewing the binding on a little flannel quilt - how is your quilt coming?

Pat:  Are you prepared for winter?  We had two days of winter and now it is fall once more.

I am doing more and more driving now - Don had problems with the altitude at 9,500 some feet.  We have just returned from lower altitude in Minnesota for two weeks and that could have been his problem.  I hope that Larry is doing well - think this is his trip to Denver but not sure.

Hi Carol I have about 2/3 of it quilted. I don't do very much at a time as my fingers get sore even though I am using a pair of needle nose pliers to pull theneedle though, I had to cut my finger nail on the thimble finger too as it was bending.

Well I just found the post that I posted yesterday morning in this thread, Those gremlin are sure getting around the  forums aren't they.

David Jeemiah has just come on TV, I  really like his program. o I am going to watch/listen to him while I make my bed and start getting ready for church.

God Bless you all today had a great day at church etc.

Hello to all:

We have been having sun and then rain and more sun followed by rain, at the present we have sun so I hope that when I go out for dinner it will not be raining.

Ed: I will be remembering you in prayer and I know that the Lord will guide you all the way.

Marilyn: Thanks for noticing my photo. As for my hair it changes everytime I wash it, if you understand what I mean.

Carol:  I like the snow but getting out the warmer cloths and boots etc. is the pain also driving becomes a problem as well.

Liz:  Happy Birthday

I didn't get to hear the sermon this morning as I was in the nursery going over Bible Study n otes for the Women's Ministriy with the teacher. I am organizing and revising her notes on my computer. I have them all typed up today since tomorrow night I am going to be at the Red Lion Hotel for a business meeting and Tuesday evening I will be in Cave Junction Oregon for a meeting at a church there.

Ed - just thought I'd mention:

"All that the Father gives Me shall come to Me; and he who comes to Me I shall in no way cast out."  John 6.

What you may say to your friend may be used of God, and, if so, nothing can stop it.  Or God may have another plan, and, if so, we don't even want to change it.

Janet

It is still quite cool here today, and the days are getting noticablly shorter!  Can winter be far away? ???  Darrel went to an auction near here on Saturday and  for $80, bought a snow blower which had only been used once, as he is expecting that we will have a lot of snow this winter.

Great Sunday school and church services today at our church, and we have 10 new members now!  Praise God!  We also had a fellowship dinner, so no service this evening.

The Women of Faith meeting was awesome!  One of the speakers on Friday evening was Max Lucado!!  What an opportunity!  All of the ladies who spoke were great, too, and if you ever get a chance to see Nicole Johnson do one of her dramas, go see her!  She is fantastic!  Pat and I and about 20,000 other ladies had a wonderful time.  :)

I have prayed that Ed's friend will receive the Lord, and that Ed will feel the presence of the precious Holy Spirit as he speaks to him.

See you all tomorrow!

Etta Sue

So here is what I posted this morning.....

I am all ready for church.  Decided I had time to stop by and say 'Hey!'.  Looks like it is going to be a nice sunny day.  A little cool out but it will warm up.

Now for tonight.....

They videoed the first service at church this morning and was going to show the tape for the second service, The Crossing and The Bridge so I left right after the first service.  I went to Pendleton for breakfast and my second cousin was there so I had breakfast with her and her family.  Very enjoyable.

When I got home it was cloudy but not raining so I mowed the lawn.  Done for another week.

Then it started raining so I got the Reader's Digest and read until I got sleepy and then took a nap.  Tonight I watched TV....premier of Extreme Makeover--Home Edition...I love that show!!

Now it is time for beddy-bye!
